Naruto sits back down and watchs as Rikku changes again. He gapes at her new outfit, or the more fitting term would be new armor and her new sword, "That is so wicked cool..." he says in awe, standing up and circling her, being careful of her sword.

"You think?" Rikku looked at herself with an appraising eye. "I guess it does look kinda cool. After I mastered this sphere I rarely used it. Other ones are more fun."
Her eyes twinkled with mischief as she glanced at her SphereGrid. "Like this one, for instance."
Rikku activated the next sphere, losing hard cold armor for leather & layers of cloth. Her arms disappeared into too long sleeves & her bell shaped skirt dragged on the floor. The most radical change is a rather large orange & white monkey with long face-fur & a long pliable banded tail. Giving a squawk, the primate jumped from where it was clinging to Rikku's head and ran to Naruto, climbing up the shinobi's body. Rikku hid her mouth behind her billowy sleeves as she laughed. "Naruto, meet Ghiki."

Naruto closes his eyes when Rikku changes and when he opens them, he can't help but think her new outfit is very cute, but he almost freaks out when he sees the monkey and it suddenly starts to climb him. He flails a bit before the monkey is suddenly on his head, looking down at him. He breaths hard as his heartbeat slows down, staring at the monkey, "Ghiki, eh? He's pretty....cute..." he says.

Rikku explodes into laughter & makes a gesture with one sleeve encased arm. Instantly Ghiki hops from Naruto's head & returns to the female where she pets him. Of course she is still laughing & soon the two are in a puddle of hysterics on the floor as the monkey's laughter shrilly joins his trainer's. "Oh! Fayths, 'Ruto! If you could have... seen yourself!"
Giggles overtake her again & she curls around her pet & hugs him tightly. Tears are lightly trickling down her face.

Naruto finally calms down when the monkey hops off him and returns to Rikku. He pushes his hand through his hair, letting out a breath, but is very surprised when Rikku is suddenly laughing at him, as well as the monkey. His face blank, he seems to retreat into himself and he backs away, sitting down on the sleeping bags and turning his back so they don't see the hurt look on his face. He starts to dig around in his pack to keep himself occupied, his ears folded flat against his hair.

Opening her eyes to check on Naruto, Rikku's heart drops. All laughter ceases, even Ghiki's. He chitters worriedly in her ear as if saying goodbye. With a nod & a gentle pat Rikku agrees and activates the last new DressSphere in her grid.
It is a new one. New even for her. But Rikku pays little attention to her short schoolgirl-like skirt & white ruffled blouse. Making her way to Naruto's side she absently pushes her green visor from her eyes & onto her bandana. She kneels close behind him, reaching out with purple gloved hands to embrace her best friend.
"Naruto... I'm sorry..."

Naruto sits stock still when Rikku suddenly kisses him, and suddenly he has doubts whispering in his head. Maybe she didn't mean it, maybe she was still laughing at him cause he made himself look like an idiot. He didn't want her to laugh at him cause he did something stupid because then she would be like...everyone else? He sighs, his body slumping as he closes his eyes, but his hands reach up and interwine his own fingers with Rikkus.

Her hands entwined with the shinobi's Rikku cannot run her hands over his body as she might otherwise be inclined to do. Instead she moves around a bit until her body is pressed against Naruto's and seeks his lips. She puts her best apology into the kiss -and unknowingly the full force of her unacknowledged love.

Naruto is surprised when she suddenly shifts to be in front of him and she kisses him. But of course, he kisses her back, pouring a whole lot of his own unknown love into it, wrapping his arms around her to pull her close to himself.

She melted against him, overcome with feelings. Rikku presses her gloved hands flat against his back & kisses him deeper. If that is even possible. After a while she pulls back to draw in a much needed breath against his lips. Green eyes bore into his as Rikku starts to speak with her mouth still lightly kissing his. "Whatever I did... that made you feel so sad... oh, 'Ruto! I'm sorry!"
Tears glistened softly in her eyes as she watched Naruto with concern.

Naruto smiles a little and wipes away her tears gently, "It's ok Rikku, don't cry about it, ok? We didn't come on this trip to be sad, remember?" he whispers before hugging her tightly. He didn't mean to make her cry, but when she suddenly laughed at him like that, it had really hurt for a moment.

She hugged him back fiercely. "I'm only crying 'cause you were sad & I didn't know why or even what to do about it & it must have been my fault you were sad because there's no one else here but I don't know what could've made you sad 'cause I thought we were having fun & usually everyone liked Ghiki -except maybe Paine- 'cause he laughs with everyone & so it must have been something I did & I never wanna do anything that makes you sad, 'Ruto!!"
Rikku finally paused for breath. "And I am very sorry." She was, but she managed a small smile just for him. "I'll try not to be sad any more if you won't be sad too."

Naruto debated on telling her that when she laughed at him like that, it had hurt, but she was upset enough, crying even and he didn't want her crying anymore over him. He smiles in reassurance, "Yea, don't be sad anymore, ok? You still have to show me the rest of your outfits, remember?" he says softly, wiping away her tears.

It bothered her that she did not know what had hurt him. She knew he had been hurt though... or he would never have turned his back on her. Rikku wished she could know what he was thinking. She pouted. Trelweny called this sphere "Psychic"... & she calls telepathy a "psychic power"... She gazed into Naruto's eyes, trying to read anything there. The DressSphere did not seem to be any help in looking & she crinkled her face in frustration. "Oh, what's the use of this psychic DressSphere if I don't even know how to use it!"
After her sudden outburst, Rikku grew quite sheepish. Enough so that when lightning flashed outside she jumped involuntarily. Giggling at herself she curled into Naruto's lap -her skirt sliding up a bit- & wove her hands into the hair at the nape of his neck. "Just 3 more spheres, Ruto... & I'm not switching my grid out til you at least look at this one."

Naruto is quite surprised by her sudden outburst, but he chuckles when she curls into his lap, and he shivers a bit when she messes with the hairs on the back of his neck. He looks her outfit over, finding this one incredibly cute....and sexy....did he just think sexy?! Shrugging that off, he looks to her, smiling, "This one is really cute, what is it called?" he asks.
