Ew, I don't even talk to anybody in my band, never mind sleep with them.
They're all so ******** nasty and annoying.
Well ok, actually I did sleep with the clarinet section leader last year (but he's not in band anymore, he graduated) lol

Yeah, that's actually true. Cheerleaders have too many STD's so no one will sleep with them. =D
But really. Football players are too immature for even Cheerleaders to want to sleep with. Band nerds can actually handle relationships, because.. Face it, stereotype or not, the majority of band nerds [aside from the stoners/people that just want P.E credit], all of us are usually pretty mature.
Except for the few nerdy freshman that still talk about DBZ/Halo.
In my school, the colorguard chicks just date whoever from band.. And the band just dates whoever from band/colorguard. There's no colorguard+drummer, flute+clarinet, type thing.
But we all mostly strictly date band/ex-band members. o.o

band people have a way with this stuff..from innocent relationships to even going a bit too far...
i was in a LONG relationship with a fellow band geek, and it as great.
there was an incident when a drummer got this girl pregnant, who was in the band just before i arrived there.if anything,he's the better parent than she is,i swear..
n,but band people are perverted.it's kinda funny really, when people think that being a band nerd means you'll have a sucky love life.

Personally, I think y'all should wait till you're married before engaging in any sexual activity. Just my two cents...
Anyway, I do know of band nerds DATING other band nerds. (cute story warning!)
My little brother (a drummer) is dating a saxaphone player from his school's band. He asked her out during their first performance. Too bad I wasn't there to see it, they make such a cute couple! They're still going out, too. And I remember the year before that... They were friends but the thought of dating was like "ugh!" They likened it to dating a brother or sister, since members of their band were pretty much that close to each other. Now, their thoughts are different. It's amazing how much they grew up that summer...
And trust me, if my brother does ANYTHING bad to her, there will be hell to pay not only from our parents but her parents, too.

I don't know a single band person who is going out with a non-band member...
I DO know of a Bassoon and Saxophone couple (they're so cute!) and a Trumpet and Percussion... I think Brass and Percussion don't mix, but that's just me.
I think that band people should date band people (or at least people who play an instrument on their own time, even) because it will help them preserve their musical talent.

I know of several relationships within my band from last year. There's my good friend "Sweet Tea" (i'm in enchilada to her... xd , she graduated though....*sniff*) she and a trombone player were dating. She's from colorguard. I hope they never break up, they are SOOOOOOOOOO adorable together and its been nothing but awesome for them.
Then I know of another friend of mine, he's a saxaphone and he's dating a colorguard who just came in last year. She's really cool. They both are. Then there was Ooooooooooh a clarineto relationship. AHHHHHH BEAUTIFUL! and clarinet/flute too!! EEE! they're still goin' too! then my reaaaaaally good friend, a trombone player, she liked another trombone player, her Drill Instructooooooor oooooooooooooooh heart heart heart (dont get me wrong he was FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE xd ) but anyways, she wrote him a note saying that she liked him and he wrote her back. He turned her down but in a really nice way, not saying anything rude or mean, he gave her compliments and everything. It would've been so cool if they went out though, I wish. Ah. He graduated as an 06' senior so he's gone. But she's over him now. I hope... eek sweatdrop
AAAAAAAND then another Trombone DI dated a saxophone but she broke up with him because "they weren't dating in a school setting", stupid reason, I know but thats just her...I suppose...
And theeeeeeeeeeeen, my friend, a sax/colorguard dated a bass player from the drumline, they're close friends now but they've been flirting since the first day of school. whee They went out of course, for a good while, came close to gettin' their "Groove on" but I dont think they did. I'm not going to ask. talk2hand
So yeah. Nothing happened with me...YET. I'm still waitin' but yeah, our band was pretty good this year, barely any- OH! My friend, a flutey, she dated a junior who was our piano player. He hates her guts now and she hates his, oh isn't love dandy? That was the most dramatic relationship ever so yeah. I have nothing else to say. I've spoken enough. xd

Cyanna I think both fathers are drummers (I know one of them was anyway). I'm sorry, I just thought that was the funniest thing...It's so funny how we can tell peoples' personalities by their instrument... Anyway, back on topic, yeah, on the spring trip to Myrtle Beach this year...Some stuff happened (that my BD refuses to know about) and uh... sweatdrop

A girl who was in the band at my friend's school ended up sleeping with the married assistant band director while on a trip. It was a huge thing on the news in my area. The girl ended up leaving the school and the assistant band director was thrown into jail for a long time and his wife divorced him. Now the new assistant band director is gay. mrgreen
But anyway, I've never had a relationship before with ANYBODY. But I do know of some relationships within the band. My freshman year, a trombone player and a clarinet player dated for a couple months. She broke up with him because he kept on talking about masturbation and he wasn't very mature. Then, a clarinet girl dated a drum major boy for a few months, but it ended in good terms. THEN there's two trumpet players that have been dating for over a year. They're so cute together!!! 4laugh

I agree. At our school it's the same way. Band geeks get band geeks and eveyone wants them. The guard doesn't do well in that feild. One of our freshman girls has had four abortions. They aren't that smart. I think band geeks go with band geeks because that's all you do and devote your life too. You see each other a lot and you have a lot in common with them when you both have a hobby like that. As for me, I'm a clarinetist and my boyfriends in the Drumline. Now dont even get me started with drummers. Drummers have girls all over them! Does being a drummer make you hotter?

A lot of kids in my band date outside of band because my school is pretty small and we don't have enough kids to devote themselves entirely to band to do competitions. It sucks, really. Most of the kids who are in the band are just in there for music credit and/or a good resume. About 90% of them play sports during marching band season and most miss at least one football game due to sports. Our band gets no respect from kids in my school.

Yeah and competitions are mostly where our sexual activity happens. i made friends with one of the bands in a higher division than us and hung out with them way past my curfew (our band director taped our doors closed.) then the next day i went swimming with the other band in the hotel pool, but my friend bengi cuoldn't get into his room because one of his roommates had locked it, and was having sex with a member of another band he had only known for 3 hours...
the same band was allowed to have opposite genders in their rooms with the door open not like the parents cared anyway, and i made a comment about how they were lucky to one of the girls as she walked into a guys room and she turned around and said "yeah well, our band isn't sexually active"... then benji turned to me and said "we really are, we're just good at hiding it."
i've had my own run ins with sexual activity in band... some great inside jokes and unforgettable moments, and my own great relationship with my drum major xp
nothing happened of course. of course not... wink

I haven't heard of any relations like that in my band, but I do know of a couple couples (haha lol ) but they are color guard and band couples. Our band is more of the big family type. our guys are so perverted, they are always on each other though i know they're not gay (well some of them at least...)
