Anavel gave me a brilliant idea im going to use SM scouts instead of normal Storm Troopers.
Expect plastic scouts at the end of the year. So I hear on most the accurate forums not my rumor source... As to the rulebook... I have a paperback ofrom macragge... And the full version in PDF format....

It's not very brilliant. They're metal fixed posed piece of s**t models that will require massive converting. You're better off mail ordering some forge world Elysians.

Well it was right after it came out and it was from a non GW store which makes their GW products a little bit more expensive.

if you know how to play, you don't NEED a rulebook.
Official Games Workshop stores which hold veterans nights will however ask for players to bring their own copy of their codex and rulebook in order to settle rule desputes. If you are not a veteran playing at a games workshop store but know your basic rules, you don't NEED to buy the rulebook.

She does have a very good point, you know. The knowledge of the rules does not necessitate owning an actual rulebook. However, I suggest you look around. I think that you'll find a cheaper one somewhere. Check independent stockists. Or if that doesn't work, learn from a friends rulebook.

ok...im torn between playing Imperial Guard or Space Marines...i really dont like the whole belief that the Emperor is god, and the only way to get around that is to make a renegade chapter of marines...id like to know how the whole organization of the imperial Guard works, if its like standard miliatary or if its different...Im really leaning towards imperial guard, but im still undecided...please help me! crying

Minimum to play guard is:
HQ
1 officer
4 guardsmen
60-150 points

You could add quite a few charachters here.

Troop 1
1 officer
4 guys
60-150

You could add a commissar and a priest here. Also to every other squad If your HQ has one first.

10 guys
60-100

10 guys
60-100

You could add 3 more squads of ten here.

Troop 2
10 guys
60-100

chimera
70-120

Then add to that. That is the minimum required. No 2 guard armies are the same. There are so many variations possible that it is hard to see them Identical...

What about the new Armoured Company - Leman Russ as a Troop Choice, How long would Space Marines last against 20 or so Battle Cannons
