Howdy, my name's Ivan, I'm 16. I'm pretty much obsessed with Doctor Who.
Back in 2003 they started airing the classic series again over here (Probably to fire up interest in the upcoming Eccleston series) and I started watching them from The Unearthly Child, which I think is a good place to start.
After the first few serials, I kind of became uninterested in it especially since The Simpsons was on at the same time.. (Oh, the shame razz ) but occasionally I watched so I had a knowledge of the different Doctors. Then one day after I was waiting for the Simpsons, my dad changed the channel and Doctor Who was on. It was then when I actually witnessed my first regeneration. It was Tom regenerating into Peter and since then I've just become obsessed!
I then watched the rest of the classic series from Castrovalva to Survival and I've never looked back! I've absolutely love the Eccleston and Tennant series, and I'm really looking forward to Season 30. (Series 4)
Well, that was rather long, guess I should leave it at that, then , eh?
Good to find some like minded people. Cheers,
Ivan

Hi I'm Jane,
I'm 24. I'm an old person but I am hooked on Dr. Who. Used to watch it on Sci-Fi with the old episodes and never understood it at first. Now I've been reintroduced with the relaunch on Sci-Fi and absolutely love it. I'm currently in the middle of a RP on Yahoo with a Tenth Doctor and just started up another Doctor Who Guild on Gaia. Still a lot of work to be done but I'm working on it slowly but surely.

Hello everyone! I've been following Doctor Who since I was younger. My parents were hooked on it and introduced me to it at a tender age. I'm 32 so that's quite awhile. I love the latest Doctor and the figures they have for the new series are stunning. I love the detail. I just got Face of Boe and it's a great piece.

I personally am a new fan of the series. About a year and a half ago when i was 15 i saw an episode on scifi(new series) anyway i found a way to watch more episodes and after i was updated to current on new series i heard of the classic. Then i got into the classic series, though im still barely at the end of the first doctor....and dr who classics adds to the fact that a great majority of my favorite shows are from early 60's-90's

Salutations. I am an alien ... so naturally I relate with any fellow non-human humanoid like the lovely Doctor.
I have just started watching episodes but I'm totally obsessed.

Greetings! I'm PlainsimpleGarak (or PSG if you're feeling lazy). I have been a longtime sci0si fan and just recently got roped into watching a lot of classic Doctor Who, and I was hooked!
So far I have watched every classic series ep I can get my hands on. I don;t get cable >.< so the new series I haven't seen at all, though I have it on good authority that I should give it a watch.

Hello, ignore my username you can just call me Alex if you want. I've been watching Dr Who since 2004 not a long time, I know, but I've come to be very fond of it. As far as personal details there's not much to tell, except boring things. biggrin

Hi i'm Creampies (in case it wasn't obvious), I too only know the new series, but really want to watch the classic episodes. sadly by the time that i discovered Dr Who, I know longer had the time to watch the reruns on tv,(although I think they had stopped a while before). Anyway I joined the forum to meet other Dr Who fans

Hello! I remember, back when I was a kid, seeing an episode of Doctor Who, I fell asleep....5 minutes in... sweatdrop
But anyway, whether I've changed, or whether that was just a particularly bad episode, I'm a big fan of the new series.

Been a fan ever since the TV movie caught my interest. Then got back into it when Eccleston Doctor came on the scene. Not seen much before the Paul McGann period, so I have to say that my fave Doctor so far is the Tennant Doctor, and my fave companion is Rose, though Sarah-Jane seems like she was good back when she was first on the show. LOVE K-9 as well.

being born in the early 80's I only was able to catch the end wake of the beloved doctor. Watching them late at night on PBS. When the last aired episode went off I can remember feeling a void deep down in side me the size of the inside of the TARDIS. Not even StarTrek:TNG filled that void completely. When the 1996 Adventure of the eight doctor hit TV I felt like that long lost friend had just returned, When they said they wanted to make a U.S based Doctor Who, I like many fans though the movie was that bad it might have a shot my hopes were high. when we found out that the TARDIS control room from the film whom was to be part of the TV show went missing I knew I'd have to wait to see the beloved doctor once more on my telly. When I heard that the BBC was bringing back the show, I felt somewhat reserved as most did. As I live and breath aside from some better advances in slimming equipment this Run of Doctor Who is just as campy and Larger on the inside then it is on the out side void felling goodness.
and I look forward to seeing Tennant being the Tom Baker of the new doctors.
