"[Alright, sounds like a plan. Follow behind me.]" Gorwooken said, walking along the hall towards where layouts he'd seen of most Trandoshan slaver ships showed the holding cells to be. Fortunately, once they sprung the Wookiees free, the armory was on their way to the engines. Within a minute or two without any sightings, they saw, standing right next to the door to the cells, two of the Dosh, weapons at the ready. The crew must have been alerted to their prescence. Gorwooken silently motioned to Freya's blaster, and one of the Trandoshans. Readying his bowcaster, he aimed at the other one. [These'll have to be simultaneous, or they can call for help.] he thought as he aimed, and shouted "[Now!]" and fired.

Reinforcements did arrive. A pair of IKs rushed to the scene first. But the killer was not around. Their eyes met a corpse soaked in flammable liquid on fire, as the blood on the wall cooked the foulest stench in the shape of a symbol. Long forgotten, the Sith writing stood in the most ironic form possible. While no IK could ever decipher the message, in blazing flames stood the warning, "Behind you."

all the Imperial Knights could feel was the heat from the fire not warming them any more. Instead, their sweat turned to chills, as both felt a lightsaber stab them through the intestines, a quick death from behind. Ferno had given them ample warning. It was not his dillema if they did not know the language.

As his head bent down towards the first corpse, he uncovered his face, and drained the life from the dying corpse, replacing the panicked expression with that of completely dominated fear.

The Current barkeep of the Dead Space was busily preparing the bar for the on rush of her regulars, dock workers and space hands, most of whom usually got off work late in the afternoon. She sighed as she wiped down the bar, counting down the list of things she had yet to do.
She looked up to see her brother Dack staring out the window.

"C'mon Dack! Shift it! we got an hour before the regulars show up!"

Dack didn't move, still staring out the window.

"What, that spacebum still out there?"

Dack nodded."Yeah, he's sitting against the building." Dack looked again. "I...I think he fell asleep."

Incensed, Veira drew a blaster carbine from under the counter and made for the door. "That shifty spacebum! Thats the last straw! tresspass on my watch eh? I'll fry his a**! That'll learn him!"

Dack's eyes grew wide. "You're really not gonna shoot him are you?!"

"Why not?"

Dack looked back out the window. "Well...he's not a bad person. He helped us out didn't he?"

Veira snorted. "How do you figure kid?"

"Well he showed up right before Nek had his thugs beat us up. And he beat up those two pig guards."

Veira shook her head. "Dack, he showed up because he was thirsty, not to help us. and those two pig guards probably got over zealous and beat each other down fighting for who'd get to kick his a** first."

"But-"

"Hey, did you see him hit either of them?"

The young boy shook his head.

"Me neither. So he couldnt have knocked 'em out. Nobody could be that fast, least of all that scrawny bum."

"Cale Darksun was that fast." Dack insisted.

Veira sighed. "Cale Darksun would have shot them, not let them beat each other up. You need to stop watching those Pirate Holofilms. You know they're not true."

The little boy looked sad and stared back out the window.

Veira sighed and clicked the safety on her gun. "Fine. I'll leave him alone for now. But if he starts scaring away customers with that weird accent of his i'm gonna put a few holes in him. Now Come on and give me a hand with this place!"

Cheered considerably, the boy sprinted from the window to help clean up the bar.

Outside, Link sat against the side of the Dead Space, his staff resting in the crook of his arm and his eyes closed, lost in silent thought.

Not so lost as to completely ignore the goings on inside the building behind him. He smiled as the girl decided to leave him be, then reflected on what had brought him here.

The Force had practically dragged him here, but why he couldnt imagine. Such criminal proceedings were common on Ord Mantell. There was almost no law to speak of, and possibly worse things were going on as he sat there, things the force should be telling him to go and rectify.

But it brought him here.

If the Force wills that this place be protected, then so be it. He thought to himself. The Twi'lek will be back. His setback today will only encoruage him to try harder to take the bar. That is mostly the fault of the interloper. The defense of this establishment rests in his hands until the situation is rectified. The job would be simpler if his sword was finished, but one must make do with what one has. He nodded to himself.

The name Darksun echoed at the back of his mind. For some reason he rolled his sleave back to look upon the tattoo placed upon him years ago.
He looked up to the sign of the establishment as he rolled his sleave back down. "Perhaps it is more that brings this one here...." He muttered quietly to himself.

"Send reinforcements to the Moff chambers!" came the general cry to the comms of any Imperial Knights in the area.
"Understood," Iria said. "Paladin Heimdall, shall we?"
"No," Heimdall shook his head. "Find Sir Werda. I'll take care of it."
"With all due respect, I can't leave you," Iria protested.
Heimdall stood firm. "No, child. I have a bad feeling about this. Now, go. Find Sir Werda."
Iria sighed. "Yes, sir," She then activated her comm. "Page Brunhildt to Knight Werda. Come in?"

"Like, got it!" Freya said, making her shot true, nodding to show Gorwooken that she understood. Her shot true, both trandoshans fell to the ground. "Like, let's totally help your buddies here!" she said.

Gorwooken walked up to the Trandoshan Corpses, and put their blasters on his belt as well, increasing the numbers of Trando blasters he was carrying to four. "[We'll be in a more closed area now, so If you fire and miss, it might ricochet, How about you let me handle these?]" He said to Freya as he pushed the open door button for the first cell, Vibro-Axe already unsheathed. Sneaking in, he had the head off of the first Trandoshan before either knew he was there, and delivered a nasty cut to the chest of the other right afterwords. Taking their blasters as well, he used his Axe to cut through the lock to the cell, releasing the three Wookiees inside. "[My name is Gorwooken, and I'm here to rescue you!]" He said, tossing each of the three wookiees one of the blasters he'd salvaged, leaving him with three. "[Follow me, and we'll free your bretheren.]" He said, leading the first three freed wookiees out of the cell and into the corridor.

While his short leave of absence had felt good, the bridge of the Stormhawk was home to Vaan. Everytime he got on the Chiss Star Destroyer, it was a relief. Everything was just as he wanted it. Csilla was an iceberg unless you were in a tempcontrolled building, and the Stormhawk was always kept at a breezy 20 degrees. The corridors always smelled of clean ozone, and the lights were neither dim nor too bright. The Stormhawk really was a perfect environment for a commander. After he had settled back into his cabin, he changed back into his CEDF uniform and strode back to the bridge where his intelligence officers were meeting him.

"Greetings," he said in Cheunh, feeling good to speak freely in the language. "Anyone know about this Kenet?" he asked.

His senior intelligence advisor spoke first. "He was in the CEDF years ago before dissapearing with a small crew. Rumor has it that he was a captain in the Imperial navy for a small while, but even more recent rumor has it that he's now the governor of some planet."

"Which planet?" Vaan mused.

"We're not sure yet," his officer admitted. "But may I suggest that we move out into Imperial Space and simply patrol? That way we are moving closer to finding Kenet as well as investigating anything we need to for the Empire?" his officer asked, nodding to Seifer and two stormtroopers.

"Sounds like a plan," Vaan said in Minissiat, so that Seifer could hear.

Stormhawk jumped to lightspeed only a few minutes later.

"That would be, like, totally bogus if that happened," Freya agreed, letting Gorwooken handle business in the detention block. As the first trio of wookies were freed, she whispered, "Like, totally good work," She then looked to the wookies. "I'm like, totally with him,"

"[Stay out here with her.]" Gorwooken said to the other Wookiees, as he prepared to enter the second Cell. "[Keep her safe.]" Entering the Cell, he used tactics very similar to the ones he had used in the first one, and soon the next group of Wookiees was free, and armed. Within a matter of minutes the third and final cell was empty, and 12 Wookiees stood armed with Blaster pistols in the hallway with Freya and Himself. "[Let's get some practice at leadership.]" he said softly into Freya's ear. "[You take it from here. The engine's that way...]" He pointed in the direction of the engines. "[And the Armory is on the way there.]"

Kal hissed in annoyance. Nothing there.
The whole search had been a farce. Maybe he was too jumpy.
Then he felt his comrades dying.
He felt them being lost to the force, cut down by something he could not see.
His helmit erupted into a burst of noise as a dozen voices began calling out for backup and reinforcements.
Kal clutched his blaster rifle and gritted his teeth. he turned and utilized Force Sprint to take him away from the south wing and head for the main hall.
Then a com Transmission reached him from the page.
"Page Brunhildt to Knight Werda. Come in?"
He paused and pressed his fingers to his helmit.
"Werda here. whats going on." He said in a deathly calm voice.

"Sir Heimdall is en route to the Moff chambers. Something about a disturbance there." Iria replied. "Good to see you," she replied with relief. "He specifically told me to find you,"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 08, 2006 10:31 pm

"I'm feeling that Disturbance right now. And I know the source as well."
His hunches werent wrong. The Darkside was growing in strength around him.
Treachery, Lies, Greed; the essence of the darkside seemed to be filling the palace, growing with each Imperial Knight's Death.
"Where are you, and do you have a gun?"

Iria nodded. "Yes, sir," clutching an old-time E-11, said to have belonged to her host. "West wing, second floor. Shall we regroup?" she calmly queried.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 08, 2006 10:46 pm

"I'll find you." He said as he picked up on her armor's becon on his HUD.
He was half way to her. another dose of Force speed and he had closed the distance.
He appeared at the Page's side and looked down the hall, keeping an eye open for Sith traitors.
"This is the Sithspawn's doing. Krayt's up to something insidious, and Ive got a feeling he's got Inside help. Wheres Heimdall?"

"Heimdall has made way for the Moff's chambers," Iria said. "Shall we make way?" As a little girl, even though she were clone, she was largely given what amounted to what one coudl call more or less a normal life. And, despite her training, she couldn't help a slight shudder at the word "Sith". "A Sith," she said. "This does not bode well. I imagine that I don't need to tell you that we should be cautious. Have you a plan, Sir Werda?"
