"I guess not..." She giggled softly as she made her way towards the large reception chamber to prepare her place at the table. She seriously doubted Xol would join her, but she was going to put a plate for him anyways.

The smell of food found it's way into his nostrils as soon as Xol materialised in his chambers. He hastily made his way to the reception hall and looked around to find only one plate. A frown curled his lips downward as he looked around again, maybe hoping she was hiding. "Jekirk!" He snapped, taking a seat at the head of the table and eating his meal.

The little house imp poofed into being and bowed slightly before rising up again and speaking. "Y...yes m'lord?"

Xol turned to the elf, peas and mashed potatoes sticking to the corner of his mouth as he had just shoveled in a gob of food. "Where did Heswina go off to?" He asked the imp after swallowing a mouthful.

"She cooked, ate and left m'lord...looking a tad bit downtrodden if I might add..." The imp replied back, looking at the ground. He had fibbed to his master, but he had rather taking a liking to the Heswina lady and wanted her to stick around. If fibbing to his master a little to make him think that she was sad without him would help her stay longer he was all for it.

"Downtrodden?" Xol furrowed his brow and drank all the liquid from his goblet. "Yes...well...thank you Jekirk. Clean up and you may go." He said, rising from his seat and walking away to his chambers.

"As you wish m'lord..." The elf grinned as he bowed and then jumped up on the seat to collect the dishes and go wash them.

Heswina had left dinner early, eating only a few bites before exusing herself. She was, infact, a bit disapointed that Xol didn't show up, she had worked so hard to prepare dinner that it was a shame to let it go to waste like that. She asked the imp to leave it out, incase Xol returned hungry, and went to bed. The disapointment didn't show, because Heswina had taken the cool Aes Sedai scerenity that seemed to numb out all emotions. After entering Xol's chamber she fixed the furnature and lay down, in his bed. She felt odd sleeping there alone, the times she had slept here it was always with him...and they didn't sleep. Sighing to herself she took the far side of the bed as her own and pulled the covers over her body. "Why wouldn't he be here? He said that he would never leave me. I'm being played! By that fool of a man, I'm being played!" Rage sweltered through her entire being as more thoughts ran rampant in her mind, "But why? I know I'm not exactly the most loyal...but why? I can't believe he would do that to me. Not after all this...not after this." Slowly lowering her hand she let it rest on her mid section, she could feel the child kicking through the mental link. Tears began to trickle down her cheeks, "Why? I thought you said you loved me...I...what am I going to do? If Xol leaves me, then I'll be all alone again! I don't want to be alone...Please, I just want to be held." She was actually hopeing that Xol would suddenly just appear and cradle her in his arms and just tell her it was going to be OK, and that he wouldn't leave her. Her hopes were shattered as she ended up crying herself to sleep, the tears would be long since dried by the time Xol did arrive.

Xol had entered and left his chambers in such a hurry that he must have missed the sleeping Heswina. She had returned the furnature to it's rightful place and had the little imp like creature lay down a fresh sheet for her. The thick blankets of Xol's bed were pulled up to her shoulders, and tucked under her arm since she slept on her side facing away from the door. Her breath was quiet and soft, and the light that spilled in from the open door didn't seem to phase her in the least. Upon first glance it would seem Heswina to be naked, but when the covers draw back it would reveal she was actually wearing a soft pair of silk panties and a black laced bra, and no more. She slept soundly and peacefully, knowing she was safe in Xol's keep.

Xol stepped into his chambers and closed the door softly behind him, immediately erecting various mental and physical barriers to shield what he was about to do. He took a step forward and stopped dead, turning his crimson gaze to the corner and spotting a being in his bed. The gentle breathing and feminine aroma led him to believe it was Heswina, and upon closer inspection it was in fact, her. He was slightly puzzled at first...hadn't Jekirk told him that she had left? Well, he didn't really specify where that was, but it had seemed as if he meant it to mean that she was gone out of the Keep. Xol quirked his brow and grinned. Was his little house elf playing the matchmaker, knowing full well that Heswina was in his chambers and wanting him to stumble upon her unbeknownst? Interesting.

He turned his gaze from Heswina's sleeping form and walked over to an old bookshelf, slidding a finger to the top and pulling down slightly. The title could only be seen briefly, reading; Seraphims, before the bookshelf collapsed on itself to reveal a doorway and a path leading beyond. Without a pause, Xol stepped into the path and as soon as his body dissapeared from sight the bookshelf reformed. After walking a hundred or so feet down the pitch black hallway, he turned sharply into an invisible wall that was masked to look perfectly like the rest of the Onyx colored hallway. If one walked all the way down the path they would be met with a rather gruesome death of the hallway closing in on them and their remains dissolved to the nether world. Xol walked down a large staircase and came to stop at a solid titanium door, roughly six feet thick. It would easily withstand all forms of laser and detonation types. On the door were markings that of which seemed oddly familiar. They were the same as the ones on the back of the cave above Xol's Keep. When he touched his hand to the symbols, they glowed a sky blue and he was instantly sucked through to the other side.

A large lab was now at Xol's hands. Extensive sets of tools lined the walls and tables, some hidden, some visible. Hibernation chambers lined a back wall along with some hidden by large black tarps. A large vat sat in the middle of the room. It contained an odd substance, black, but with tiny white lights that all flickered at different intervals, almost as if someone had captured the night sky and put it within the vat. Xol walked up and placed his hand along the 'glass' of the vat, smiling as he walked around it and to a table lit by many flourecsent lamps. Like one would see at an OR.

He unsheathed Einlanzer and grabbed the hammer that had forged it, coming down at it with a powerful swing that shattered the blade into ten jagged pieces. His eyes scanned the room and he stopped in thought momentarily, snapping his fingers as Jekirk appeared.

"Yes m'lord?"

"Jekirk, go over to the back wall and push 6969 into the wall unit code panel would you?" He said, without looking at the imp, instead he was intent on grinding down the ten shards into digit like blades. Sharpening and putting in special joints that would allow them to bend like fingers, yet still be unbreakable.

Jekirk nodded and walked over to the wall unit, inputting the code '6969' into it. A ten foot wall panel sunk in slightly and slid back to reveal a wide assortment of blades, staffs, scythes, guns and other weapons. "Now what, m'lord?"

"The gold colored box...bring it to me..." He spoke through the sound of a whiring grinder stone that was still fashioning the blade like digits.

The imp picked up the gold colored box like he was told and walked over to the table that Xol was working on, raising it above his head like a child would and grunting slightly as he slid it onto the top.

"Thank you, you may leave if you want now." Xol grinned, patting the imp on the head with his left hand as he placed his right hand on the top of the box. Small markings glowed a sky blue as the box snapped open to reveal two gauntlets with no digits.

The imp gave a curt nod and bowed before leaving Xol to the meticulous work of attaching the digits formed from Einlanzers blade into the gauntlets. After roughly five hours of attaching the blades and making sure they reacted properly when he manipulated them, it was off to test their strength and magical properties. When all tests were passed and he confirmed that it was possible to focus his anti-matter through the gauntlets, he put them on. They immediately sealed to his skin to reinforce their structures. Xol spent the next hour practicing their uses and limits before coming to the realization that he needed to test them in the real world.

He made his way back to his chambers and ensured that the bookcase was firmly closed before walking over to Heswina and gently kissing her on the lips. A genuine smile spread across his face before he dissolved into a plume of black mist and dissapeared.

Heswina stirred from her sleep at the touch of Xol's lips on her own. She was still asleep when Xol left her, but awoke soon afterwards. Had she dreamt he kiss? Pressing her fingers against her lips she scooted off the bed and dressed herself. It was too real to be dreamt...to warm. A long, blood red, gown swished against the ground as Heswina walked through the halls. She looked a little concerned, and a little angry.

Heswina walked all through the keep, for the entire day, ignoreing the exhausted feet that cried to her for rest. She didn't know why, but she felt like she wanted to memorize this place, from top to bottom. Everything about it must be remembered, incase Xol did leave her alone. That thought almost brought the tears back, but she was too distracted by the memorization of everything to cry.

Sitting on Xol's bed, Heswina hummed a soft tune. It was entrancing by itself, and due to her natural charming magics it became even more so, but for some odd reason it didn't sound intentional. She had a small bundle in her arms and she cradled it almost as if...it was a child. Smileing down at the small infant she brushed her fingers against it's cheek and kissed it on the forehead. No one could have guessed when Heswina would have fallen into labor, mainly because she had deattatched herself from her golams before she had. Though not the real Heswina, even the golams felt the undying love a mother would hold for it's child. More then willing to die for the infant in her arm, Heswina continued her soft lullaby. It slept soundly and peacefully, then a thought suddenly crossed her mind. "Wait...what if Xol...he wouldn't! It's his child!"

"I should atleast tell him...it is his child. Though...what if he's angry and tries to kill the child? What could I do against him?" Heswina huddled over the child, trying to protect it from her disturbing thoughts. "Stop this! You're Heswina! A villian of the Black Company!! Xol is a triffle, you still hold the power of BaleFire!" A new sence of security fell over Heswina as she reached out, searching for Xol. It was his child...he deserved to know that it was alive and healthy...and here.

Xol poofed into existance within his chambers. "Yes Heswina? Not that you'd care, but I was about to gather some rather important battle data..." He growled through bared teeth, calming himself.

Heswina was still sitting on Xol's bed when he arrived. She held the small bundle close to her chest as she stood up and took a few steps towards him. "Xol...I'd like you to meet...your daughter." The reason why she feared for the child was because of it's gender. Most men of Xol's statures wanted son, so that they could train them and build them to 'take over the family business'. "Her name's Diana..." She adjusted her hold on the tiny girl so that Xol could see her face.

Xol's face turned very stern and he took a step back. "A...daughter? I would have expected you to be in labor for longer..." He said, slightly ashamed for acting shocked, not meaning to put up the effect that he wasn't happy.

"She's beautiful...may...may I hold her?" He asked as he face softened and he looked from the baby to Heswina.

"I forced the birthing process to speed up...I've been in labor for the past week." She smiled softly as she took another step closer, still holding the child closely. "Of course you can hold her...she's your child...though." She paused for a minute, thinking about how smart her request was going to be and what kind of impact it would hold over the father of her child, "Could you remove your gauntlets? I don't wish my child to be stained with blood so young..."

Xol nodded and hastily removed his gauntlets, tossing them aside to a nearby workbench. Slidding his arms under Heswina's, he took his child and craddled her in his arms. "Diana...yes, that name will do just fine." He cooed, slidding a hand along her small face in a comforting way.

He felt like he hadn't felt in a long time, good about himself, not wanting to cause anymore chaos or evil. "She has much of her mothers beauty..." Xol smiled, looking from the baby to Heswina, back to the baby.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 30, 2004 8:35 pm

"And her father's strength..." The very instant that Xol took hold of the young child did her energy latch onto his. The result was amazing! Her energy, even in a child so young, was threatening to surpass her father's! Xol's energy was nearly double then what he could achive, without chaning his form. Unsure of what Xol would do with such powers suddenly at his finger tips, Heswina walked behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist. It would appear to be a loveing gesture, but if Xol did anything then Heswina would kill them both.

His eyes rolled back as he felt the power wash over him, suddenly, the fatherly instincts and feelings of kindness washed away into a power hungry surge of hatred. He all the effort he could muster, Xol pushed the feelings away, gritting his teeth in angst. "Indeed she does...here love...take her."

When the baby was safely in Heswina's hands, Xol walked over and replaced the gauntlets on his hands. "I...uhhh...have to step out...I'll be back soon."

He needed time to think and access what had just happened, but he couldn't just tell that to Heswina's face.
