"I don't know if he'll come if you call him like that, I call him Des, at least that's what he said his name was?"
a Half brown and half red Naiad swam around on the bottom of the lake, resting in the sand when his tail was tired, but he looked up, hoping to see the world around him, not be a fish stuck in this giant bowl

Hula Bob shrugged. "Yes, I guess you're right. That would be funny if he did, huh? Awesome." He hadn't thought of that. Still, it would be nice to meet another of the Naiads.

'Well I don't know, but if you call him by his name he might come, he's always be fond of Pae'il, at least he never stopped staring at my legs when we talk?"
He sighed and swam around some more, pausing sometimes and looking up at the surface of the lake, his tail waved around faster everytime he thought about the island around him, but he knew he was no more then a flopping fish outside the water, he could never see the island at his current age and lack of ability to breathe with the enchanted necklace the older naiad wore

"Alright, but what's his name then? Did you say and I missed it? Oops!" Hula bob chuckled. He didn't see the shape in the water. So, he didn't relize that the baby was already around.

"Des, I guess it's because he's kind of dark in color, I'm actually surprised how well his speech is at that young of age, he might grow up to be a wise adult or even something older, I wonder if naiads can become edlers too, but I guess first they need a power, doubt he could even have one at his age though"

Hula Bob shurgged. Powers were different now, so he didn't know when the Naiad would get one. He also didn't know about elders for Naiads. "Aloha Des!! You out there?" He called.

His finned ears twitched as he looked up, hearing his name above the water "Huh, someone say my name?" He kicked away from the sand with his tail and shot up to the surface, making a small splash when his brown head hit the top

Hula Bob then saw him. "Hey, there he is. Little dude. I'm Hula Bob. I live here on the beach. I like to meet the dudes of the water. So awesome." He chuckled and nodded to the Naiad.

"Huh?" He looked around seeing two Pae'il on the shore of the lake, one looked familiar, it was the same Pae'il he saw when he first came out of his egg "I'm Des?" Hes wam up to the shore line, but kept far enough that he wouldn't get washed onto shore and flop around "What's a dude?"
"Hey Des, it's been awhile, any luck with the other naiads?"

"Oh okay" He waved his tail around some more, looking at the beach "Nice to meet you too, mister" He sighed and looked down, knowing he couldn't go onto the land no matter how much he wanted "Chaos, there's no naiads in the water, did they all grow up and leave?"
"Well I did hear some get an strange shell around their neck when they're old enough, somehow it makes them breathe out of water, but you're one of the first generation I think, at least I didn't see any other naiads eggs lying around before, so if you're still thisa ge they mgiht stil be?"

Hula Bob nodded and smiled. "You'll be able too soon enough. You could be carried in water to more water? There also is a stream and pond on the isle. Or so I've been told." He hadn't seen it himself anyway.

"It's still not the same, I want walk around the island like you guys, but I don't have legs" He held his tail in his hands as he brought it up in front of him "All I have si this unbalanced taol, I'm just a fish with arms"
"Well..." He looked down, he didn't know what to tell Des, it was kind of hard to walk around with a tail for legs or leg, but he thought they never really lose their so he couldn't tell Des he would walk someday

Hula Bob frowned slightly, "Well, that's what life is. You just have to learn to roll with the waves. Then things won't get you down so much. Keep in your mind that one day you will grow and be able to the leave the water. I'm sure it's just not time yet. Maybe the lake has more to teach you? I don't know, shaw."

"How can a lake teach me when it can't talk?" He looked puzzle, he was very young, but yet he took things too literal sometimes, his imagination was pretty dull for a child, even if he wacted like one sometimes
"I'm not sure if that's possible, I've seen adult naiads and they seem to still have their tails, I don't know if they ever out grow them, but I do wonder how there could already be adults when Des is one of the firsts and is still a child?"
