Rinko closed her eyes and purred seductively, enjoying the sensation of his fingers across the soft flesh of her cheek. She opened her eyes slowly and tilted her head, giving him an impish smirk. "I don't envy you boys and your anatomical issues. Can we help it if you get so flustered when we shake our hips a little or bend over to pick up something we accidentally drop? It's not like we do it to get a rise out of you, intentionally. What do you take us for? Harlots? Honestly." She laughed, sticking her cute, pink tongue out at him playfully before giving his chest a soft nibble. "Of course, if you ask for it, we deliver with a smile. You already know the consequences.. so don't b***h to me if you get blue balls."

"Velcro? Nah, you have to work for your prize." Rinko's tail flickered, back and forth with her good humor. The world flip-flopped and now she had trouble on top of her instead of below her. She pretended to pout but made no move to turn the tide. Settling down in the pelts and situating her legs comfortably since they were no longer straddling him. "Now a Mini skirt, I like where you're going with that one." She ran a claw down his chest temptingly and tilted her head again, scanning him with her dark brown eyes. "I can show off my sexy legs just as easily without one. Are you going to kick everyone's a**?" She bit her lower lip, her eyes glinting with excitment. Tegan how he riled her up, it was so delicious. She'd forgotten how much she enjoyed his advances. Anyone else who'd tried to hit on her while she was away just looked pathetic when compared to Kebas.

Aullana shook her paws feverishly, trying to calm her nerves. She managed after several minutes and simply stood there, looking rather exhausted and ruffled. She was a mess, covered in dirt, her hair filled with twigs and leaves and her chest panting heavily as the stress began to die down and she slowly calmed. Turning, she looked up at Ventash'ma with her liquid gold eyes and broke into tears. "I'm sorry.." Was all she could manage. She didn't know what to do, she was scared and relieved all at once. What if it happened again? What if there was no warning next time? She could burn her mate and Chath without meaning to. But wouldn't be without either of them. It was all very confusing and frustrating.

She slowly padded over to her mate and leaned her forhead against his chest, trying not to cry. She felt silly but then again she had no idea how else to be at the moment. "She's safe, your safe.. we're safe. That's all that matters." She breathed softly, feeling rather exhausted. It was from her father. This power. From her father. She only prayed Chath hadn't inherrited the dangerous version. The harmless kind wasn't a big deal but this, this was just a disaster. She needed to learn how to control it. Glancing at Chath she ran a paw across the side of her face gently, lovingly. It was this moment, all of them being together and safe that counted and calmed her soul.

Teti gave no indication of what she thought in regards to his plight. For she did not know if his sentance was deserved or unjust. She merely rolled part of the way over to look at his scar and a slow frown furrowed her slender brow. "It must have been painful." Was all she managed, she was still rather exhausted but interested in his tale all the same.

She rolled onto her back and gazed at the ceiling of the cave, deep in thought. "Are you planning on returning to your home world? Or do you even have a choice?" She began, uncertain why she was even asking but finding that she was more curious than anything. "Because if you intend on staying in ours I suggest you learn our ways. The Deities here will not forgive you if you cross them and you'll find your life ended without hope of a new world to prevent your descent into the otherworld." She was so blunt, so matter of fact. She blamed her father for that one.

Lithium calmed under his touch, under his kiss. Her heartbeat slowed to a steady rhythm and she sighed, releasing her tension. 'It came so naturally to care for you, I should have understood sooner why.' She smiled up at him, her face beautiful when she did. Share. They shared. They. The word struck a chord in her heart and she felt disoriented, her body going limp in his arms momentarily. She frowned and looked at her paws, looked at his paw over her heart. This was how it started, this was a warning.

She sat upright and furrowed her slender brows. 'I cannot explain just yet, it's not safe to try. I need to see a Deity and try to..' She paused and leaned up, kissing him on the cheek softly. '..have the curse broken so we can be together. Otherwise we are doomed to fail, no matter how strong our bond may be.' She would need to leave him now, go to the upper realms and find the Deity who could help her. She blinked slowly, her eyes trained upon his face with such warmth now where there had once been such coldness.

The expression on Kebas' face resembled one that could only be described as a 'Yea right' kind of look. "Now now, Rinko. You really should stop feigning this innocense stuff. I know what goes on in that devious little mind of yours. At least most of the time. You get a thrill out of turning poor, innocent males into horny sex fiends, don't you?" He nibbled on her collar bone lightly. From the point closest to her shoulder along the bone to where it came close to her sternum before running a quick tongue along the soft dip at the base of her neck. "We have no other choice but to ask for it then. I'm not too fond of sitting around with an ice pack in my lap for a couple of days."

He gave a little pout at her next comment. "Awww, but if I spend all my time working for my prize I'll be too tired to play with it once I finally get it. Its kind of like a carnival game with you. I spend all my money but the game is rigged to where I run out of money before I get anything." Well, that wasn't neccissarily true. Kebas normally didn't have to work too hard until Rinko gave in and gave him what he wanted. Not that she was easy or anything. Hormones. He chocked it up to hormones. He was a sexy stud after all. Some girls he'd come across labeled him as having a wild, rugged look. Untamable even. With those smokey charms that only little girls dreamed of experianceing. Golden eyes filled with a serious and dangerous look. "Of course. Your mine and any guy better have a right mind to keep his wandering eyes off of ya if they know whats good for 'em."

The male sighed lightly. A sigh of relief actually. It seemed like Aullana had gotten herself under control at least. Though he was still kicking himself mentally. If he had gotten there earlier maybe she wouldn't have gone through this stressful situation. And maybe if Chath hadn't run away...well. That was to be expected. What wasn't expected was that she would run into a snake. But it should have been. They were out in the woods after all. Who knew what kind of creatures lurked around here.

Wrapping an arm around his mate's shoulders, Ventash'ma gave her a reassuring smile. "Its ok, Aullana. Look, Chath's ok and what you did any mother would have done when her child was in danger." He to did wonder if Chath had inherited her mother's powers somewhat. Though he had never seen any sign of it before. Perhaps it was something that would develop once she got a little older. Only time would tell.

Chath sniffled lightly as her mother ran a paw across her cheek. Grateful that her mother had arrived just in time. And her heart beat had started to calm down once more. She reached out her arms and wrapped them around Aullana's neck, burying her nose into her mother's soft fur and takeing a really big breath, letting it out in a quick sigh. After all that had gone down, taking a bath was the least of her worries at the moment. Shoot, she'd rather take a bath than have to go through all of that again.

Rinko's eyes slowly fell to half-lidded and she tilted her head back just slightly, allowing him room to work. Her claws traced patterns along his back, arms wrapping about him loosely. "Mmm.. you caught me." She purred, her gaze kind of distant as she sank into the moment. "Of course, I figured you already knew better." Her grip tightened suddenly and in one, fluid motion she pulled him closer, bringing a leg up between his legs to steady herself but refraining from hitting him anywhere that might have injured anything important. Rinko was strong for what one might consider a petite, delicate thing. Meanki weren't weak. She barely lifted her head, having brought him close enough to kiss him deeply. Nibbling on his lower lip and moving to kiss his throat slowly, methodically. Her eyes flashed as she bit into his shoulder, not hard but enough to stimulate the nerves there-in. "Don't play the victim, if you didn't want it, you wouldn't ask." She growled playfully, releasing his shoulder and laying back to give him a 'So there.' look.

"But you still play the game." She smiled, her eyes alight. "So it must be pretty good." The Meanki laughed, brushing a paw up along the side of her body before running it over his shoulder and down his back. "Ooo, very nice. That's my favorite form of 'I love you'." She remarked with a sultry giggle, the thought of Kebas permanently injuring some helpless hopeful gawking at her was a definite turn on. Hey, she liked the the fact that he wanted her so badly to himself just like she'd, without hesitation, scratch the eyes out of any female getting too friendly with her male. She was definitely territorial. Reaching up she brushed the hair from his face, her gaze calming but still retaining that fire as she scanned the powerful male above her with a mixture of awe and love.

Aullana finally managed a smile, pressing the side of her face lightly against Chath's head and breathing lightly. "You're right, it's just.. scary. I wish my father had stuck around to- to at least explain things." Her brow furrowed softly and her golden eyes danced with frustration. "Lets go have a bath." She wasn't worried about Chath running away now, the baby was far too scared to leap off into the Woods so soon. "Thank you Ventash'ma." She looked up at him lovingly and kissed his cheek, that familiar blush spreading over the bridge of her nose and across her cheeks as she gazed up at him. She was so glad he was here at all, things had worked out just fine.

She'd let the scolding go for now, Chath had definitely learned her lesson and drowning her with 'don't you ever's' and 'see what happens when you's' wasn't necesarry at the moment. They'd take a bath and pack up then get on with their trip. It was a lesson learned all around. But that was the Woods, it wasn't a safe place but with the right amount of understanding and caution it was a suitable and wonderful place to live. She'd learned that herself even before Chath was born, when she'd first moved out her to be with her mate. Oh, her fur was covered in dust and she'd managed to get Ventash'ma dirty as well. The female started to laugh softly, brushing a paw over him. "Looks like Daddy'll be needing a bath now too."

He was a little wary of Rinko haveing her knee so close to such a sensative area. Mostly because he knew how rough and tumble they both could be and just knew that the wrong move would leave him in some serious pain. So her knee was almost like a lease. If he went too far one way he'd be chokin' and probably rolling around on the ground. Kebas' body went slightly rigid for a second before he relaxed a bit as she pulled him closer. He knew she wasn't some dainty little flower, but she sure liked to play the part sometimes. The male's tail lashed back and forth behind him, held half way up in the air as she bit into his shoulder. A small, tingly sensation running through his arm. "Normally I don't have to ask. Do I have to start getting down on my knees and begging like a dog now?" Moving his body, he laid his chin down between her breasts, peering up at her with those golden eyes as he made a little whining noise. Ears flicking back as he struggled to keep back a smirk.

"Of course I do. Its quite an interesting game to say the least." He couldn't hold back the smirk any longer as the corners of his mouth curled up. Letting those pearly white fangs slip out from beneath his upper lip. "Really now? I would have figured your favorite kind of 'I love you' involved whips and chains. And maybe a paddle with some holes drilled into it. My mistake." Claws of one paw trailed the curve of her rib cage and down to her hip. It was an awkward position but he kept himself slightly propped up with his other arm. Doubting she'd appreciate his weight coming down on her like that. She might of been a tough broad, but dead weight was never comfortable.

Nodding his head with a smile, he laughed after a moment. Dusting a bit of dirt off of his white chest. "Yea, it seems so unfortunatly. But we all need a bath now so there really is no avoiding it." Still with his arm around her, Ventash'ma started to lead them back to where their little picnic area was. It'd probably be best to just quickly pack everything up and then head over to take a bath. That way no one who just happened by would try and steal their things. Not like anyone would want to steal trash anyway, but the blankets and plates were something that he'd rather not have to replace.

Slipping out of her father's arms, Chath kept a tight grip around her mother's neck. Clinging to her tightly. She didn't care about baths or wherever they were going at the moment. The kitten had just learned a very valuable lesson about the world around her and really, a bath seemed more tolerable now than ever. Turning her head, she glanced casually at the world as it went past them as they all walked along. Closing her eyes, her breathing becoming soft. The adrenaline had finally drained out of her system and left her pretty tired.

Rinko gazed down at her mate, his puppy-dog eyes blinking up at her almost cutely. Making her stomach flutter for a split second. "Good boy, now stop that. Show some dignity." She laughed, running her paws through his hair fondly until he perked up and she listened while he spoke, tilting her head and quirking a brow inquisitively. "Well, that's just one of many ways to say 'I love you', do I have to pick just one? If you really want the paddle I suppose I could.." Rinko stretched beneath his touches, her leg sliding down, freeing him to move as he pleased. The Meanki knew Kebas quite well, not fully of course, they hadn't exactly spent every waking moment together since they'd first met. It was funny, their relationship, if that's what one might classify it as due to it's unique nature. It had been more like an affair than a romance in the beginning. Sneaking off to secluded places.. or not so secluded ones for a little R&R that had nothing to do with relaxing. The thought made her smile. The funny part was that both of them had been single.

But he was right, there was only so much a girl could take and she was beginning to feel restless. Maybe she was a sucker, but could you blame her? One minute with this male and she was weak in the knees or weak in the self control department, either one. She brushed a paw across his neck and leaned up to kiss him softly in the crook where his neck and his shoulder met, leaning further to whisper into his ear. "Listen, I'm all for the pleasantries but there are only so many hints a girl can give before she just has to say it out loud." She whispered, her voice heavily laced with a mixture of lust and seduction. "How about you remind me how good at the game you actually are. Minus the rigged outcome." She smiled, flashing her bright, white, yet petite canines boldly. Her eyes wild and alluring.

Aullana relished the close feel of her mate, she felt safe again. Her eyes opened slowly, exposing those bright golden orbs as she scanned the path ahead. She'd finally calmed and her eyes widened a little as she felt Chath's grip about her neck, her expression quickly softened, realizing what it was she now had clinging about her neck and her arms came quickly up to support her baby. Poor Chath, it must have been so frightening for her. Aullana pressed a cheek to the baby's head and closed her eyes a moment, raising one paw to gently stroke her hair. She hoped it wouldn't frighten her completely, that wild spirit was what made Chath unique, sometimes traumatic events could change that but she hoped not. She didn't want Chath to be afraid of anything, not like Aullana with the birds.

The little females gaze opened and she began to rub Chaths back in small, circular motions to calm her nerves. They were almost at the picnic area, it shouldn't take them too long to clean up and head out. There wasn't actually much to clean up at all considering Aullana was a 'clean as you go' type girl and had put the trash into the picnic basket. So they'd just need to get the plates, blanket, drink container and whatever they'd left in the sudden pursuit of the baby. "Do you remember how far it is to your fathers from her Ventash'ma? I can't remember." She smiled, trying to figure how long they could spare for a bath before they'd need to head out. If they intended on making it to the den before dark that was.

Chuckling, he cocked an eyebrow momentarily. "Hey, I was only doing what I gotta do. Sometimes you gotta push dignity aside and just bite the bullet." Turning his head slightly, he nipped at her wrist. "And just what other ways are there to say 'I love you'?" Sitting up, he crossed his arms over his chest. Letting his long hair spill over his broad shoulders as he stared down at her. Legs straddling her hips. "Well, I'd figure you could only pick one at a time. Though if you wanted to be creative you can try to mix and match I suppose." Rinko was still a partial mystery to the male. They had spent quite a bit of time together, and were now mates, but there were details about her that seemed to bubble up he hadn't expected. And he was sure there was more there that he would discover with time. But--he was glad for this time with her. Their past excursions were always short lived and there was never enough time to just shoot the s**t like they were now.

Placing his paws against her back, Kebas kept her in that slight sitting up position. Leaning his own head in to nibble on the edge of her ear. "Oh, I'm sure there are more hints you can give. Like I said, you just gotta be creative." Another n** to her ear. "Maybe I just want you to say it..." His voice had changed tones by now. It was low and deep. Almost to the point where he was growling it. His eyes lidded as he place a paw on the back of her neck. Leaning back to look into her own eyes. "Mmmm, little Rinko needs a bit of reminding eh? I can probably help out with that."

Not soon after, the had finally come back to their little picnic area. Ventash'ma took the initiative and started to clean up what was left laying about while Aullana held Chath. He was sure their daughter was still a bit upset over the whole previous ordeal that it would be hard to get her to let go of her mother for the moment.

As he finished packing up the blanket, folding it over a few times and stuffing it into the basket. The male glanced up at his mate before looking about. "I think its about a ten minute walk from the hot springs nearby. Maybe a little bit more than that. But it shouldn't take us too long to get there before dark."

A soft, quiet purr started to eminate from the kit as she started to calm down even more. The tender touch of her mother was soothing and she enjoyed it greatly. Her little tail flicked lazily back and forth a few times as she turned her head to bury her face into her mother's shoulder. The grip Chath had around Aullana's neck loosened a bit, but not enough to where her arms wouldn't be able to hold on.

"The defeat its self was more painful, to have lost as I did angers me, it burns me even today to know I was beat." A low growl started to grow in his chest slowly echoing off the walls around them. "It was done with quickly, but I still see their faces... I long to crush them."

His mind spoken the growl slowly grew silent and he started again to pace the cave occasionally stopping to watch the God-Child shift about. "I would desire that, only to kill those who defeated me. By now my kingdom has fallen surely and others have divided the land and spoils of war. To go back would surely give me little more then I have here." He gestured to the cave, "My kingdom, you, this is what I have now, and their I will have nothing but hatred and revenge to seek."

He stopped and walked over crouching beside her. "Tell you're deities I will bow to no one. And I already told you, I have no intention of dying twice by another's hand."

Peace and quiet, the slowing calming beat of her heart, the world truly did feel right at this moment. He watched her face so simple and beautiful, though it was sudden her limpness she need not worry as he held her close still, "Shhh its okay...." he whispered continuing to hold her close before she slowly sat up again.

"My grandmother... perhaps she could help? Maybe even my mother..." he shrugged slightly a sad smile on his face, "I'm sure they would help you, it's in their nature to do so." He continued to watch her eyes so warm so loving now it seemed. "Go my little moth, I'll wait here when you come back okay?"

Rinko allowed her body to be lifted, almost doll-like in submission and movement as she placed a paw upon his chest and exhaled slowly over the ministrations of her mate. Even a nibble from him could get her blood flowing. He wanted her to say it out loud. Didn’t he know? Didn’t he see? Of course he saw and felt her lust, her need for him, he just wanted to see if she’d say it. And damned if she wouldn’t, no matter how alien it was to say it out loud. “I need you.” She breathed into his ear, her lips soft and supple, her breath warm and intoxicating. “I want you so badly, I’ve ached for your touch for so long.. you want it spelled out? ‘Cause I can do that too.” She smirked, her eyes flashing with a mixture of passion and excitement as he teased her. “Perhaps I do need a good reminder. I don’t quite recall, maybe last time wasn’t so memorable. I’m having trouble pin-pointing it. You better make it memorable this time so I can fantasize about you in my downtime.”

The curl of her tail swept across his own as she toyed with him, she had to bite the bullet and say something out loud that nearly terrified her to make audible, but she’d done it. So she was going to tease him terribly. Of course she remembered the last time they’d been together. How could she forget? It was amazing. Every time was amazing. But if he knew it or not she wasn’t about to let him slip through her lovely claws unscathed. Her fur bristled for a moment as she closed her eyes and listened to the rain outside rage, being in his arms, feeling something she thought she would never feel again, it was all so amazing. She felt drunk with the possibilities a life with him presented. A chance at love and happiness, two things she thought possible for others but impossible for herself. They were hers, after so long they were finally hers.

Aullana gave an understanding nod as she went about helping her mate as best she could. Like she figured it didn’t take them very long to pick up, she opened the container of water and took a small drink, offering some to Chath. She’d need to stay hydrated, especially after all the excitement, it was amazing she didn’t have a stomach ache after all the food she’d stuffed into her belly and all the running she’d done, blueberry water would help soothe anything that might flare up. “All right then, at least we have a little more time to relax. Especially now.” She gave Ventash’ma a warm smile and sauntered up to him casually as she securely held Chath, giving him a kiss on the shoulder before leaning down to grasp the picnic basket. It was considerably lighter now that they’d eaten most of the contents and she was glad. The lack of weight made it less of a hassle to carry all the way there.

The promise of the hot springs lifted her spirits considerably and she raised her head to try and scent their whereabouts, managing after a short while and closing her eyes to enjoy the familiar smells. The wind had picked up softly, not enough to be a bother but enough to be noticed at least and she sighed gently, glad for the familiar caress of the wind. Her hair was picked up at random and danced, falling and dancing with no form or pattern until she turned her head and looked back at Ventash’ma, “Shall we be off, my love?” Her voice kind and wild on the untamed winds of the woods.

As he listed of his possessions she grew guarded by the mention of herself and her hostility rose gradually, yet she remained quiet, the time would come when this would be corrected. Her thoughts flitted from one subject to the next, listening and understanding but offering no council to his plight. Instead she was slowly understanding this beast who had bested her and she found herself neutral. She understood his anger, his frustration because she too had a chip on her shoulder, whether she allowed it to show itself or not, but she found his personality and ego clashed to harshly with her own and she would only be willing to spend time with him in short bursts if at all. The Trickster knew herself well enough to know this.

Her mismatched in hue body refrained from movement as he approached and she looked up into his face with an almost cold or unfeeling air. As if she were miles away or made of stone. A smirk finally roused itself upon her lips and she sniffed indignantly. His request was both impossible and illogical for many reasons she deigned not worthwhile to share. “I will speak to no Deity.” Came her reply, her eyes now focused on the hidden features of the enigmatic male. Figuring where his eyes would be she was unafraid to boldly lock gazes before she mustered up the strength and slipped away from him, rising to her paws and padding towards the cave entrance. She would not leave just yet, she merely needed to feel the fresh air from the shelter of the stone. Remind herself there was life beyond the stale companionship of rock and earth.

Lithium had been watching him so carefully that her frame nearly sank with relief as he spoke, her smile returning mildly. ‘I appreciate your suggestion but this is a matter far too.. sensitive and I wish not to burden them with it’s undertaking. I will return as soon as I can. If you are not here I will search for you..’ She kissed him softly on the cheek, taking his paws in her own and pressing her lips to them gently, closing her eyes as she did so, the framing of her long eyelashes as they dusted her cheeks both beautiful and unreal before her luminous orbs raised to meet his.

She slipped from him slowly, unwillingly, like a thread of silk upon the breeze as her wings flickered and flared and dust danced downwards sending the plant life into a frenzy of excitement and growth. With a final glance down she smiled ‘Farewell Mercutio.’ Her mind whispered softly as she lifted into the air and out of sight, the trail of dust finally vanishing as the breeze carried it fondly away.

It was a constant struggle trying to keep Mirage and Rage from going for each others' throats. They both wanted one thing, and that was 'Aysel time'. The baby for obvious reasons, the baddie for reasons that were slightly less apparent... well, most of the time. Sometimes it was so clear what he wanted that she really couldn't avoid noticing it. And encouraging it, but that was the side of her that her 'Father' had cultivated.

"Rage, really... she's just a baby." The baby in question was glaring at her father as though she knew precisely what he was up to... and planned to hinder it. Oh sure, she was innocent. Sure. The nymphae might be unaware of such things, but that didn't mean that her companion was. No, no... Rage seemed all too aware of just what the baby baddie was up to.

Not that he was innocent of it himself. Scooping the little one up, Aysel plopped her into the makeshift nest/craddle that she'd cobbled together while Deranged was busy pouting over his sudden ascension into fatherhood. After all, someone had needed to take care of things, and she was used to doing that for Azazel. Fortunately, Rage and Mirage were infinitely easier to deal with than the demon, or else she would surely have gone quite insane by now.

The male baddie was currently observing his offspring with an accusing eye narrow. Rage could read Mirage like an open book, he saw past that facade, that 'cute baby face' to the true intent below. If she was his kid she was far more clever than Aysel would be able to fathom a baby capable of being. It was relatively the only connection he shared with Mirage, the only mental genetic trait he could unearth in his time observing her. But being a doting daddy wasn't something he'd taken to easily, in fact he was still trying to swallow the notion.

Just a baby his a**. But he found himself eased once she was removed to her crib and he settled back into himself, swallowing up his frustration as if it had never been. He rolled his shoulders and padded easily across the room, his captivating eyes taking in everything but Aysel before they fell upon the Nymphae and he paused. It was that same feeling when he looked at her, same as it always was. A burning ache. It nearly drove him mad, not that he wasn't already partially there. He was simply the quiet type of mad, when he wasn't angry. Just looking at her made him crave a cigarette to stave off the unusually strong pull of emotion. Even after all this time the torrent she envoked still sent him reeling with confusion and desire.

Rage, while understanding a great deal more about women, was still uneasy in the comfort department. They hadn't spoken of the egg.. not in a long time and he wondered if it preyed on her. Did she cry at night when she knew he was asleep? He failed at the softy role and he wouldn't blame her for wanting to hide it from him. Though in a way the thought rubbed him the wrong way, it wasn't as if he'd forgotten. As if he too wasn't sore for losing something that was rightfully theirs. He'd come to terms with the fact that he was a father, just not with the role itself. "That doesn't mean a thing. The kid's too smart for her own good." He could have been joking, then again he sounded half serious.

It never ceased to astound Aysel that Rage could be so cold, yet at the same time so very warm. Almost too warm, as though there was an unspoken warning, something that told her not to touch. Something that reminded her very strongly of a hot stove. If she got too near, it would burn her. That brought back the memory of their lost child very strongly, and almost forced tears from her eyes. Blinking them back, choking the sobs back down, she pinned every thought down one by one, ruthlessly.

It would do her no good and much harm to think of the little one. Of Raine. Raine... what had they named the baby? It didn't matter, she was not theirs to have right now. Not yet. Every night, the nymphae went to bed hoping that the next morning there would be another warm bundle in her arms. Her lost child. Their lost child.

She had grieved for that baby, wept for her. She felt certain that it was a little girl, and not a male like Deranged. Not that she wouldn't like a son, but... well, that didn't feel quite right. Her instincts had told her that both babies had been, would be female. So far, they had proven to be at least half right.

"Rage... " she began, and then stopped, wondering how to phrase her thoughts appropriately. How could she tell him what she was feeling, what she was thinking? How could she account for the distance between them, a distance that perhaps only she felt? Sighing softly, near inaudibly, the female gave up, and whisked silken hair over one shoulder. "It doesn't matter. I suppose you'll both grow out of that."

They wouldn't. Mirage and Rage would be fighting over her as long as she was a resource they both seemed to need. It was the baddie way, it seemed, and while trying it was somewhat... endearing, somehow. Slipping out of the warm robe she had been wearing to stave off the cold, Aysel crossed over into the bathing room, and drew a bath. She needed something to take her mind off the aching emptiness within, and this just might do for now.

Grow out of it? He wasn't the child here. Did she see him as immature? The thought drew up more frustration but he sorted through it. To her it must look like he was being a child, picking fights with a baby. But she had no clue. Didn't she understand why he did it? s**t, half the time he didn't understand why he was so touchy about his time with her, maybe he was over-analyzing everything. Maybe not. Why did he want so much of her time anyway? It wasn't like he'd die without her. It wasn't as if he wanted to spend every waking moment in her presence. He could do without.

Could he? The thought nagged at a baser instinct, something deep and confusing, complex. Could he stay away from her? Could he live without her? Of course if he wanted to he could turn away, show her how cold he really could be. But he didn't, he hadn't. Didn't that count for something? It was like she enchanted him, manipulated his emotions to need her. But even when he was away all he wanted was to see her face, to touch her, to hold that petite body in his arms and give himself over emotionally in a way he actually could. Wanting her time was how he said 'I care' where he failed so completely in simple verbal and common physical areas.

His ears flickered after her, listening to her pawsteps as she went to run a bath and disappeared from his sight. It took him a few seconds before he finally moved, leaning his head back and closing his eyes he exhaled his troubles slowly. He was still as handsome as ever, his body had actually toned up even better since being stuck in Az's house. An unusual twist, maybe it was the stress keeping him lean and Aysel keeping him toned. He'd stopped thinking of and even caring about escape after a while, not that he didn't dream of the outdoors and roaming the night as he once had in his teen years.

Back when life was an empty pool of his own twisted world perspective. No-one challenged his view because no-one understood it. Things made both less and more sense back then but the clarity he was gaining drove him from those dark places in his soul that he no longer visited. Except for those rare occassions when he couldn't prevent himself from remembering. The sound of water drew him from his murky memories and back into the present. He found himself before Mirage's crib, his paws resting on the edge as he looked down at the child that so resembled him and found himself wondering what the sibling would have looked like. Would it have looked more like Aysel? No, stop it. Forget it. The other one's long gone. And there was nothing he could do. Absentmindedly his grip tightened on the side of the crib and he felt empty.

Resting on the edge of the big bath as the water began to flow, Aysel mixed a sweet, slightly spicy scented cleansing soap in, holding the bottle with one hand, and stirring with the other. Well, with a single clawed finger. She was tired of smelling like sweat and baby. She did not at all mind Rage's personal scent, but, well, it didn't suit her terribly well. Half of her hair had been held up in a bun, and it was beginning to irritate her. Slowly, she unwound the coil of braid, letting her hair fall free down her back.

Did she have any right to be so... so... moody? Had Rage actually done anything to deserve her ire? Probably not. She was reacting to the stress, and taking it out on him. He had only been himself. After all, how was he to read her mind, to know what was troubling her? For a moment, the nymphae considered simply getting up and going to him, but the water level decided her against it. Reaching out, she stopped the flow of the water, and slid into the hot, foamy bath.

Slipping blissfully into its warm embrace, she did not so much as think to wonder whether she had locked the door behind her. She hadn't. She was always forgetting to lock doors. A terrible habit, in that house. Yet... yet, for some time now, they'd been safe. Safe from the machinations of the demon Azazel, and from the harrowing figure of TBC. Pressing a paw to her chest, she couldn't quite keep back the single sob that came of that reminder, and of the sheer empty, hollow feeling she felt. Oh help...
