The fluttering of her wings was a bit spastic, and she hovered unsteadily in the air before alighting herself on the very tip of Rotom's 'head'. Rotom opened his mouth to say something, but stopped. Several seconds passed by, in relative silence, before Tomoe gave a soft buzz.
It wasn't quite what Rotom expected, but it was far less unnerving than what she'd been doing previously.

Back at the field of corn, divided in half by a crudely constructed trail, the pokemon group stared up and around before entering single-filed, with Jingū in the lead this time. Through it all, she somehow managed to keep a hold on all of her tickets and her doll, though Rotom did keep an eye on her trail of tickets. Naomi was the one who had the ticket pouch, so they had no way of storing them. Which meant that they, or rather Jingū, had to hold onto them until further notice.

As worried as Rotom was, he was reminded about how, up until now, Jingū had kept a firm hold on her tickets and hadn't dropped any -- at least, none that he'd noticed. Besides, as they were walking now, even if she did happen to drop a ticket either he or Mori would notice it. Though, even as the thought passed through, Rotom couldn't help but notice how sluggish Mori had become, and how he dragged along behind Jingū. Speaking of Moriyoshi... from his vantage point, Rotom watched him curiously. He knew how much the feline loved to sleep, and he also knew how much traveling they'd done in the past few hours alone. "Hey, you alright?" he asked, deciding to make his concern verbal, for once. Moriyoshi, with a yawn, craned his head behind his shoulder slowly so that he could look at Rotom. "Mm, yeah. I'm just..." A yawn interrupted him. "Just ready to leave, y'know?" Rotom did know, and shared Mori's sentiment. "We'll probably leave soon," he suggested, though they both knew how optimistic of a view that was. "And then we can do whatever, impromptu, activity Naomi drags us to next." He meant it as more of a joke, though with his monotone it sounded more like a critic.
Mori didn't seem to mind either way, and with a slow nod he turned his head back around. "Hopefully after a nap.."

Dallas nodded in agreement with Naomi. "Yeah, let's get some grub," he replied wearily. "All this crap has really took it outta me." He stepped out out of the house to be greeted by Meloetta, Buns, and the rest of the team. Hello, Dallas! I see that Susan and Beltigre found you! Alex's dear pokemon were having a lovely time at the fair. Just behind them was the completely thrashed remnants of a stall with Starly-sized holes in the canvas hanging that no one could prove they were responsible for.

When Dallas' pokemon joined him, Naomi instinctively began looking for his; they had to have been finished eating at this point. But, after a quick look, the only pokemon he found was Sousa. He frowned gently, curious about to where the other four could have gone. But, that being said, he wasn't necessarily concerned with their location, he was confident that they'd turn up soon. Or, that he'd find them with a little bit of searching.
Naomi turned his attention back to Dallas, a smile quick to sprout up upon his comment. "That is what your actions indicate," he remarked cheekily. He rubbed his shoulder gently, but nodded and directed Dallas to follow him towards the nearest food stand. "Order whatever you would like," he insisted, eyes already raised up to read the menu himself. He wasn't particularly hungry himself, but just hungry enough to want something to snack on. So... fries and a hotdog? That seemed more than enough for him. Taking a step closer to the counter, Naomi turned his head back to look at Dallas, "Have you decided what you wanted yet?"

Jingū squealed as she came across not one, but two dolls as they continued their way through the maze. Despite having very little arm room she still picked them both up, squishing them together so as to decrease the amount of space they took up. Ah, she loved these little things! Neither Mori or Rotom commented on Jingū's addition to her growing collection of dolls, and instead continued to steadily follow her. Both did note, silently and individually, how much longer it was taking for them to finish the maze with Jingū in the lead, than it had been with Mori. But, at the same time, neither seemed to mind, Rotom especially. Maybe this time, by the time they finished they'd finally be able to join back up with Naomi.

Dallas joined Naomi over at the food stand, reading over all of the pun-heavy food items. His tank was practically empty, having nothing since breakfast earlier in the day. So, while not attempting to purposely go overboard, Dallas figured out his large order. "I'll take two number 9's, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45's, one with cheese, and a large soda." The vendor paused for a moment, unsure on if the customer was serious. "Nah, I'm messin' with ya. Just gimme one of those double cheese burgers, two hotdogs, and a chocolate shake." Food promptly ordered, the vendor announced the price, which Dallas directed to Naomi. And, once their meal was ready, Dallas carried the trays over to a free table so they could dig in.
"Thanks again for the food, Nao-kun," he said, halfway finished with one hotdog already, "It's about time you paid me back for that sushi I...well, mostly bought." He laughed weakly, remembering not only the hooligan nature of that dine-and-dash...as well as what happened after that. "Yeah, that was a heck of a night...say, did I ever tell you that the manager and that ditzy waitress confronted me in front of the Pokemon Center the next day?" He took a big bite of his burger and chased it down with some shake before continuing. "Yeah, they tried to battle me right in the street. I swept the floor with both of 'em, naturally. But...well, I guess I must've felt pretty generous, since I paid back what I could after that."

Naomi's eyes widened as Dallas began to list off several different orders of food, a sinking feeling settling into his wallet. Before that, however, he couldn't help but to worry about Dallas' health if he were to eat it at all, especially if he was getting three of the same order. "Dallas, I am not sure--" Before he could give his input, Dallas changed his order, to something much smaller and manageable, not to mention more practical. He exhaled gently, then pulled out his wallet, though ordered a small meal for Ieyasu as well before he paid.
"You are very welcome." Only a quarter way through his fries, he'd left his own hotdog for last. "Are you enjoying your food, Ieyasu?" Naomi questioned, and leaned over the table to check on his partner. The Eevee looked up from his paper tray of fries, before nodding his head eagerly and then going back to his food. He dipped a fry into ketchup, dragged it along the red condiment, then bit into it. "Pay... you back?" He tilted his head, confused as to what Dallas was referring to. "Ah." Naomi leaned in, food momentarily pushed to the side, and listened to his friend's tale. "You never told that you battled the manager and waitress, though she did tell me that you paid for some of your debt -- before I paid the rest of it off." He flashed his friend a grin, pulled himself back in his seat, and resumed eating.
"I am proud of you for trying to right your wrong, so I will not add that onto your 'tab'." He was, of course, kidding, but he did enjoy teasing Dallas. Once his fries were finished, Naomi finally started on his hotdog. "Do you have any plans after the carnival?" he inquired, hoping to make conversation.

The fact that Naomi had paid off the rest of that giant sushi bill was a surprise to Dallas. He looked at his friend with the same interest that was paid to him when he'd told his side of the story. He blushed slightly; he should've expected a goody-goody like Naomi to have done something like that, but it didn't help him from feeling bad about it. "You didn't have to do that," he muttered, "But, thanks." He went back to eating (which made him feel worse, seeing as how this was Naomi's treat), but quickly found himself reacting to Naomi's teasing. "Yeah yeah, keep it up with the teasing, and you'll end up eating a knuckle sandwich for desert." It was a lie, of course.
When Naomi asked what his plans were after the carnival, Dallas shrugged his shoulders. "I guess it'll be time to go back to Sinnoh," he replied. "Austin's made some headway over there, so there's no point in going somewhere else just yet. I don't know if Tamara will be sticking around or not, since she's working on the gym challenge and crap...why do you ask?" He smirked at the young man tauntingly. "Miss me so much, you want me to come back to Alola with you or something? Guess I really left my mark on ya when I-" He caught himself, and abruptly stopped his teasing. All of a sudden, he clammed up; he knew why, but he didn't want to bring it up. Then again...didn't that swindler tell him to be honest and get to it.
"Say, Naomi...um...about that night in Malie City." He scratched the back of his head, averted his gaze, and started to hesitate. "You know...when I, um.."

"You are welcome." Filling food and light conversation, it was the perfect recipe for recovery, and Naomi couldn't help but to smile. It remained, in fact, even in the face of Dallas' 'threat', though that could have been because he was calling his friend's bluff. "I would like to see you try," he taunted, playfully. Because, in all reality, he would most definitely not want to.
"Ah yes, Tamara." Truth be told, he'd all but forgotten about Dallas' new friend, and on instinct he looked around once more. "Where is she?" He'd said that they'd come together, hadn't he? And yet, he hadn't seen her once. Which, truthfully, wasn't surprising considering how large an event this was, but still... "Oh, no. I am fine with continuing with just my pokemon, in fact I have a few plans of my own, I was just curious," Naomi assured, answering Dallas' question despite its abrupt ending. He raised an eyebrow, curious.
"That night in Malie City," he repeated slowly, mind working to recall all of the events of the night. They'd done quite a few things there! They'd bought Dallas a yukata, eaten out, then visited the Malie garden. That'd actually been the last place they'd gone to together, but had been memorable for another reason, entirely. "Oh." So, Dallas was most likely referring to right then. Naomi picked up his soda and began alternating between biting down on the straw and drinking from it. "Yes, I do. Why do you bring it up?"
