ChiiThe Pure-Hearted
Chii squeaked in fear as he stared at her with his eyes like daggers, and raised his hand up to slap her. She squeezed her eyes closed tightly, fully expecting a new fresh bruise for her face.
"I-I-I'm s-sorry M-Master....! I... I j-just grew u-up on a f-farm s.. so I... I just th-thought....!"
Chii squeaked again as they hit a rock, which made his wine splash all over him. Her eyes widened a little, becoming even more nervous now that his blood red liquid was going to stain his clothes. The mousey little slave quickly grabbed her hankerkief again and started blotting the stain, pulling some of the wine off and onto her rag instead of rubbing it deeper into the fabric.
"Can you stop laying into her for one second? We grew up as commoners, I think she might have some insight to help you have better crops. She is trying to help you."
Right after Zuni felt the cart hit a large bump, Ketki went flying forward into her lap.

After being doused with wine and being cleaned off by Chii, his eyes shifted to Zuni as she said that, him clearly not being in the mood to hear lip from her.
“That’s all you say to me.... after I got doused with wine in my EXPENSIVE CLOTHES?! DO YOU HAVE NO SHAME?!”
He raised his hand and slapped zuni on the face, near the eyes. Aggravating her wound.

Zuni cringed in pain as an electric zap went down her spine. F**k. That hurt. Way too much... but she just couldn't help herself.
"She's trying to HELP you... and you don't f**king care about your expensive clothes, you ruin expensive things all the time back at your place...." She breathed out, being quiet now. She had a perfectly good point. His rug, his sheets, his expensive wine, his wineglasses, all of it. He destroyed any thing whenever he felt like it. So why did his outfit suddenly stress him out? The real reason was he just didn't want to be embarrassed by having a stain in front of his lackeys.
Ugh... God... Zuni suddenly got a raging headache from having her eyes nearly hit.... and it burned like hell.
She internally cursed the day Josef came into existence.
"Z-Zuni! A-Are you okay-?!"

Ketki had been completely ignoring Demitriou's comments, but she would admit, she really wanted to freaking hit him when he splashed his wine on that girl. Otherwise, she had just tuned everything out, that is until the carriage hit a bump, and she landed right into Zuni's lap. Ketki took one look at Demitrious, and almost wanted to start laughing. Serves him right.
Ketki purposely turned her face back to the walls of the carriage, so she could hide her smile. She immediately turned her head back when she heard a slap. That must've hurt ten times worse then it should've, he hit her near her eyes. She sighed in irritation, biting her tongue to keep from making the situation worse.

After having worked out with prospective farmer victims, he then heads to the embassy meeting center where ambassadors meet with royalty to work out deals.
After having met a few of them and 'offered' to give up Ketki to them, he heads back into the cart after Zuni embarrassed him after pretending she didn't know the language that they commonly spoke in Reseria when he was trying to prove how good of slaves they were. Proud of Chii for doing everything he instructed her to do, but VERY VERY VERY PEEVED at Zuni for undermining him.

Zuni kept her hand gently on Ketki's shoulder as she followed behind them all, to make it easier on going the direction Demitrious was walking. Her tail bobbed and weaved around as she walked, quite pleased with herself. If Demitrious really wanted to belittle her, then fine. She would be blind, have a busted arm, AND not understand the language, which basically qualified as being stupid. She knew how to speak a completely different language. Two actually, in fact. So it wasn't hard to play stupid and say random insults in the two other dialects. It would have been even more hilarious if people had realized the rude names she had called all of them.
She had been feeling light headed the entire time anyway, ever since Demitrious nearly smacked directly over her eyes. So that helped with her playing stupid, too. It was quite.... amusing. And he played into it way too well, he seemed really pissed, but not pissed enough to do anything about it (yet).
Zuni sat down in the cart after they got there, staying quiet now. God her head hurt... Blood started to ooze in a small line out from under her blindfold, going down onto her cheek.

Ketki had kept on an unamused expression the whole time. If he wanted her gone that badly, why hadn't he just killed her?
Once that fiasco was all over, she leaned against Zuni's shoulder, feeling tired. her gums had starting acting up again, and her whole cheek throbbed. Ketki looked up, noticing the small amount of blood. She grabbed a cloth she had previously kept in her pocket, and dabbed the spot, being careful not to touch near her eyes.
" Here Zuni... " Ketki started wiping most of it away. She really wanted to murder Josef for doing this to her. Ketki was actually starting to beg in her mind that he would come back. She was seriously starting to wonder if he did this on purpose.

"Hey Zuni, there's blood under your blindfold. It must hurt really bad. Oh wait, you don't know this language."
Demitrious kicked his feet on the other end of the chair in the coach.
"So, Chii. What did you think of the ambassadors? They wont trade with us now because apparently WE ARE FREAKING INEPT AT TRAINING SLAVES."
He shot a REALLY nasty glare at Zuni.

God yeah, it f**king hurt. But she got too much pleasure out of one upping Demitrious when he was being truly despicable. It was worth it.

The kitny smiled a little, quite happy with herself. It was petty, but this was the small way they could stick up for themselves without pushing far enough to get beaten or executed.
Her ears flopped down, looking away nervously. "I... I-I don't know..." Chii said softly, just wanting to stay out of it. Poor Zuni.... her eyes were bleeding.... the chimera stared in horror, realizing now how badly Zuni must STILL be hurting... her eyes... were.... BLEEDING.

"......Kuso ga tabete kudasai. Zuni-chan.(eat Sh*t Please, Zuni chan."
Demitrious planted a REALLY nasty glare at her.
"So, say that again to me, ZUNI CHAN?!"
The prince then just sighed and looked angrily out the window.
"You do realize, that you inadvertently killed hundreds right? We needed those trade lines. You just stopped flow of food to the north from the importation through the eastern countries. We do not have enough plantations up north to sustain them. The mountain passes that block the south from the north impede us from sending supply lines up to the north. So the plantations I burned don't matter in this case. The lines I was trying to set up would go through our neighboring country. What you just did would probably spark a rebellion up north, or we will have to invade the eastern country to SECURE a supply line. Lives will be lost no matter what though. Families will be torn apart."

Zuni kept right on smirking.
"I'm sorry, did you not understand me the first time, goshujin-sama?"
She would have been rolling her eyes. "Oh please. I don't believe that for a second. One, you don't care about families. Two, trust me, they will give you the trade lines. I could literally feel them staring at us girls. Plus, men like that enjoy stupid women. Especially stupid foreign women. You should be thanking me, they might just be eating out of your hand soon. They're probably just bummed you offered them a kid instead of me."
The kitny reached up and gently patted Ketki's head.
"Don't worry though, Master-chan really does love families though, he wouldn't want us to get torn apart~"

The angry prince slammed his fist against the side of the Carriage.
"YOU THINK YOU HAVE ONE OVER ME?! YOU THINK YOU ARE A FREAKING GODDESS?! SO FREAKING SMART?! NO. YOU ARE NOTHING. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I WILL DESTROY YOU. I WILL MAKE YOU WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN. I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE HUMILIATED ME FOR."
The furious Demitrious stood up and pointed at her.
"You are FILTH. You are SCUM. All you are good for is to lick the dirt below my feet and just die. YOU SHOULD JUST DIE. I WILL MAKE SURE YOU WILL SUFFER FOR WHAT YOU DID."
He rushed towards her and started choking her.
"I will take GREAT PLEASURE Choking you out. You wont die since YOU ARE PART DEMON. I WILL EXPLOIT THAT. You think you could hide that from me? Being part demon? I CAN SENSE IT. I CAN SENSE ALL FORM OF AURAS. YOUR AURA IS AS EVIL AS MINE YOU WENCH."

Zuni couldn't wipe the smirk off her face.
Wow... had she REALLY gotten under his skin THAT bad? She got way too much joy out of that. She had barely even tried... but she couldn't just let him get away with pretending he gave a s**t about any civilians. He was just been butt hurt she might have tarnished that pretty name of his a little.
Make her wish she was never born? Make her suffer? The joke was on him: she already DID.
The kitny stayed perfectly still as he started to choke her. It was no surprise to her that he knew that about her. After all, people had force fed her blood when she was first dragged into that castle. And people had probably heard her father's name around in circulation.
It didn't phase her to get choked. In fact, it was almost welcomed. Josef would have kept her awake and conscious and tortured her for hours. With Demitrious all she had to do was irritate him a bit and she could pass out and rest.
Chii left out a horrified squeal, jumping up and trying to pull Demitrious off of Zuni.
"M-Mast-ster p-please, d-don't hurt her, please don't choke Zuni!" She squeaked out, in a state of panic. She pulled harder, trying her best to make him let go of her, and started to cry helplessly.

Ketki recoiled slightly when he put his hands on Zuni. She had had it. This stupid game of his was getting really irritating. They weren't just some animals he could beat into behaving.
" Get off her! " Ketki clawed at his hands, and sank her teeth into his arm. He wasn't going to just toss her around anymore. She was so sick of him, and how he just looked down upon everyone. Thankfully, he hadn't knocked her canines out, so she was able to bite him. It really hurt her mouth though...
Ketki only snapped because he had started hurting Zuni. He didn't care what he said, his words were meaningless to her now, but hurting Chii or Zuni ticked her off fully. ESPECIALLY since he was choking her.
