[ Zeke w/Hikaru & Nash - Wearing the ring ]

The look Zeke turned on HIkaru implied he knew she was holding back from asking things she really wanted to know, but he'd answer, all the same. Her's and Nash's questions.

"Before Deus I was going for a doctorate in marine biology, with a special interest in cephalopods; so octopi, squid, cuttlefish." He made an etcetera gesture with his hand, then settled it back across his stomach. "I was going to work down in the Florida Keys at a research lab that had a duel purpose in gauging intelligence and problem solving, while also breaking down the toxins in blue rings to see if any part could be separated and used for medical advancement." It would have been very easy to continue rambling on about this subject, it was something he'd been very passionate about, but he didn't think either Hikaru or Nash would care to hear it. "So, there's that aspect," he said with a smile, cutting to the rest of the explanation. "And a blue ring, because I understand I'm not exactly the nicest person." *Toxic*

{Not so much lately, Boil.}

He ignored her, moving on to answer Nash's question. "My most embarrassing, unsatisfactory sexual experience, hmm?" He thought about that for a moment. "I had a girl throw up on me right in the middle once, and then I had to walk back to my dorm covered in vomit, cause we'd been ******** somewhere we shouldn't have been." It had been a terrible evening.

Merric - w/ Melvin (anything)


He wasn't okay. He was trying very hard not to think about Lysander and Roswell leaving without him, and also simultaneously trying very hard not to think about how Melvin had kissed Lysander in a way that had not been pleasant to watch, and how he'd seen the color drain from Lysander's face, and how very, very alone he felt right at this current moment.

It was laughable. He wasn't actually a part of anything, really; he just pretended to be.

"No," said Merric, because it was the abject truth, as much as he couldn't help but answer, even without the aid of the ring. "No, I...don't know what happened. And I think I should..."

Leave? But where would he go? He couldn't go after Lysander, he couldn't go find Roswell, he couldn't do anything, because he still didn't know anyone else on the island, and he still had such little confidence in himself that he had pretended to know how to fix a situation when he really hadn't.

Merric closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again. "No, I...I'm fine. Really. My apologies."




Nash - w/ Hikaru & Zeke (anything)


It was kinda fun, hearing about the history of Zeke's tattoo, even if he did ramble on a bit about ocean things. Nash himself had a myriad of tattoos that covered the majority of his body, from the tips of his fingers to his upper arms, neck, chest, legs, and back - but they were mostly just decorative and entertaining, lacking any real meaning.

The wink from Hikaru made Nash's grin widen, but he made a face at the rest of what Zeke had said. "Gross. Nothing like a bit of vomit to kill a good boner," he said with a sigh. "Where were you ******** that you weren't supposed to be?"

He glanced sideways over at Melvin, lips curving up into a small, amused smile before he returned his attention back to Zeke and Hikaru.





October - w/ Soleil (anything)


The ring was deposited into Soleil's hand with a drop of gloved fingers. October said, "That's me. You're Soleil, right? Like sunshine. Truth question for you then - tell me about a time you tried to act cool and totally failed at it instead."

[ Zeke -Anything ]

He didn't even hesitate at the question. "Partially because I have no inclination to--you're a very interesting individual that I'd like to get to know better--but also because over time people change." He gave a small shrug. He'd been a lot more of a d**k when he'd woken up on the island, but after four years, he seemed to have mellowed out a bit.

He glanced up and over at Nash before chuckling. "Lawn outside one of the dorm houses."

Melvin - Anything

He looked up at Nash. "Octopuses." He corrected.

Scooting up against Nash ad getting comfortable, he looked over at Zeke who seemed to be the one with the ring, and listened in.

Hika - w/ Melvin/Nash/Zeke (Anything)

Hika blinked at the widened grin, and smiled, in a pleased and slightly surprised way, then refocused on Zeke when he started to answer, flushing when she realized she had accidentally asked a question like that while he wore the ring. She focused on his answer, her eyes a little wide, then gave him a genuinely bright smile, finding his words comforting and complimentary all at once. Then he mentioned having sex outside on the lawn and she blinked.

Clearly, she had never done that, and it hadn't occurred to her they would. She decided to simply say "Change is good, and healthy. If you don't change, you stagnate..." And then glanced at Melvin, who had joined them, a little concerned. She HAD seen the kiss, and the way the a*****e who denied trans folks' existence had stormed out with the person he had been mocking. She felt pity for the the second one, but Melvin had been nice to her, so she was concerned for him. For a moment, she was silently, then she quietly asked him "Are you ok...?"

She glanced back to Ever, then said, quietly, "We've heard the worst..." She blushed but determinedly continued. "If it's not too private, what about the best sexual experience you've had?" Well, she'd told hers, so why not?

[Rep - with the group with melvin, zeke etc.]


Rep was close enough to the group playing truths to overhear some of what they were saying. Melvin was there too which pretty much gave him an opening to crash the little gathering. He did have some guy's arm across his shoulder but Melvin's life at this point had gone weird ******** places Rep didn't understand. That hadn't stopped him trying bit by bit to befriend him again.

He had however seen what Melvin had just done and as hypocritically as always, found himself judging it. He'd taken up a dare but it looked like a dare borne not at all out of fun but something malicious instead. It didn't sit entirely on the level with the Melvin he'd once known.

Either way he invited himself to truths because who was going to stop him really? <******** tentacles and sex?" he said, sure he overheard something about octopi when he swung by.

Rep sat himself down without any real complaint, eyeing the ring with curiosity. It looked familiar somehow but he couldn't tell where the ******** from.

[ Batwoman / Battling the Villain ]

"I said unhand her!" Cassie jumped back up on the couch, brandishing her scarf like a weapon. "Tell me where the Joker is, and maybe I won't send you to Arkham!"

Her head swiveled to Tzei, the victim. "Switch to his side? No, never. Gotham needs protectors, not destroyers. There's more than enough criminals in this city." Her chin pointed upward, Cassie made a Heroic Pose, then leaped off the couch and landed behind Kai, sticking a Superhero Landing. "Now, let's end this business."
