The stranger collapsed in the marshmallow snow dramatically, "All I've ever wanted, was for people to be happy, for people to to have true friends. And now, everyone has betrayed me. And now, you are their last hope. Leave me to die, here, by myself, alone. Super alone. And take this, our one last hope and tell them, tell the people the message, the one thing that will save them."
He gave her a piece of paper. On it it simply read, smeared in chocolate milk #marktheawesome

Melody knelt at the strangers side, mortified and taking the situation at hand very seriously. "Were you injured?? Where? I have bandages... I can.. I can... " She paused to take the note as requested and stared at it blankly. Her eyebrows gradually raised up in confusion, "is.... is this a hashtag?..."
After a moment of careful consideration she punched the message in her phone and hit send.

A great distance behind the end of the train, Max was bounding through the marshmallow snow to diligently chase after it. The image of a dog chasing a car was an easy association to make with him: his fluffy earmuffs had little puppy ears attached to them, and his mittens were made to look like paws. He'd been wearing an antler headband as well, but one seemed to have come loose in the transition between the island and this really sugary place - now he just had one antler, making him resemble another holiday Max quite nicely. He didn't seem too upset to have been left behind, or that he appeared to be all alone in a strange world at the moment. If his bright, beaming smile was an indication, he was really just happy to be here at all.

"Mark, wait." Lucky was trying his hardest to sound sincere on the headset, though he'd been laughing to the point of tears only moments before. A few bloody bite marks ran the whole way up Lucky's sleeves, blossoming a festive red against the white fabric. He wasn't actually aware enough in his Joy daze to know if Mark was even listening, but it was hard not to be passionate right now. "Listen. I understand now. The true meaning of christmas, I mean." Lucky was carving a diagram of said true meaning into one of the icing walls with his weapon as he spoke. "Christmas isn't about who's following you on twitter. It's like... that time in space when Luke Skywalker turned off his targeting system. And he used the Force instead. Except the targeting system is these headsets, and the Force is our friendship? And we need to turn off our targeting systems, and use our friendship to blow up the death star. Not literally though, we're on the train and that would probably kill us, haha." This entire rambling analogy was, of course, being broadcast to everyone's headsets, not just Mark's. "I guess what I'm trying to say is, the meaning of Christmas is that Star Wars is pretty cool." Lucky wiped a single tear of joy from his eye. "And I could never really unfollow you on twitter. How would I know what you're thinking about at 4 in the morning if I wasn't following you? Of course I want to know! Everyone wants to know!" He motioned to the general captive audience. "Right, everyone?" HP: 25/60 i think Joy: 60/100 LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE WITH A HEADSET

A long silence over the headsets.
"You're going to have to say that twice as slow, and with like less words, I barely understood half of that, man."

"Oh--oh my god." Caroline was still crying, which was easily apparent to anyone both looking at or listening to her. The headset she'd been carrying had become just tangled enough in her hair to prevent itself from being lost in all of the chaos of blood sacrifices and too much love from stuffed kittens, the latter of which was still 'affectionately' climbing up her arm. "It's true. It's true, it's--" Too choked up to get her words out, she took a deep breath. "Star Wars is awesome. So awesome. Does...has anyone seen the Star Wars Holiday Special? This is like that, but--but this is better. May the force bless us. You're the best kind-of-sort-of son ever." She clapped one hand down on Lucky's shoulder and nodded a few times in silence while she pulled herself together.

The petite Death only got a few seconds to capture a precious photo of the Death Lead holding a quite festive scythe but she did it. That would be a great one adding to her collection of Cael photo, with those Solia waifu gave her.
She took a moment to think about whether <********> was a true word and that she should learn it or their lead was being creative. Headset put on, she entered the portal and felt like a cloth in the washing machine before she fell onto snow that smelt great. MARSHMALLOWS!
Shu found herself surrounded by colorful lights and sweets, shortly, she heard a sound. "I know that!" she excitedly said. In her expectation, it was an incredible train, what she didn't guess was the material made it. She opened her mouth widely in awe. The festive music suggested her the place she was might be near Christmas town.
Disappointed that she didn't turn into a fairy or a reindeer, the cheerful Death began her task by catching the train. It wasn't successful since mostly she trained the muscles of her arms but not her legs. However, she didn't give up and finally managed to get on it.
The conversation via the headset informed her of a possible Santa, explosion, a grumpy sad Mark complaining about Lucky his friend unfollowed him on twitter or even a blood sacrifical ritual?! What's going on?
"Anyone still sane? How's the situation now?" She asked via the headset, shipping materials can be put aside, hunters needed to be dealt with first.

A pause. "So you're... not unfollowing me?"
It was good to see where priorities were.

"...hey, but...you wanna know what my--what the best part of Star Wars is? The droids. I want to build a droid. My Christmas wish is to build a droid."
A nagging feeling that she was forgetting something caused Caroline to pause and think about this a little further.
"No, it's--it's family. I love family. My Christmas wish is family! But I get a gold bikini. Ohhh! And maybe a droid!" While she was on the subject, she thought it best to provide a little bit of wisdom for her new favorite kind-of-sort-of son - she covered the mouthpiece of the headset in an effort to be secretive, which still didn't account for the mouthpiece of his whatsoever, and whispered: "I don't know if you know, but Mimsy's...well, she's your sister. Don't kiss her."

Naturally, like with so many of these previous missions, it had progressed that Milo had no idea what was going on; or what had happened or what he had missed. That was alright though, because if the gate was any indication this was going to perhaps be a rather festive adventure. Maybe out of the cold too?
Or not. Since they landed in yet even more snow on the other side. Weird snow that felt and smelled obviously different from the white stuff they had previously been in. The whole place was just so confectionery. "Noemi-chan ~ we fell into Candy Land!" He called to the girl who was hopefully still with him. Despite the weird feeling the place was, it still seemed rather delightful. A bit too sugary sure, but so... happy.
Still unsure of what else was going on, Milo held out his hand for Noemi to grab hold of it once again so they could hopefully complete the jump onto the train together. "We should go join the others, yeah!"
He had completed the first step, hopefully his favorite Mist would as well.pixie nyxie haha... 10 pages passed us by

The entire time that Lucky was talking over the headset, Gale had his face in his hands, wondering why he bothered.
"Mark for Pete's sake - Lucky give me your bloody phone, I'll unfollow him - "

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO SANTA CLAUS?!" Jason appeared on the scene, jumping off the carriage and running towards the tied up figure on the ground. He had...some idea of what had happened. Sure he had heard everything through his headset, so he knew mark was upset about being un-followed on twitter, but what had him concerned was hearing them talk about kidnapping Santa and taking him to Deus Ex. There were plenty of things the moon hunter would do, but this wasn't one of them"Hold on Santa I'll have you free in a second!" He bent down and tried to untie the runic-like knots. Sadly he had not realized who it really was in the costume and had missed the interaction with Caelius earlier. All he knew was that they wanted to do something with Santa during Christmas and nope nope nope he was not letting anyone stop the big man from giving presents to the little kiddies.

"Huh? What did I say?" His attention span was nonexistent now, unfortunately for Mark. "And youuu are the best I'm-still-not-sure-what-to-call-you!" he exclaimed back to Caroline. He nodded in agreement with Caroline's Star Wars-inspired dream, all the way up to her warning, which seemed to pierce through the Joy-induced haze. if only for a moment. "Wait, what?" And suddenly, Mark's voice was crackling through the headset. "What? No! I am not unfollowing you!" He'd somehow remembered he was in the middle of a very private public conversation with Mark. Lucky absently flicked his phone open and waved it in a few directions. The bold-lettered NO SIGNAL didn't change at all. "Can we even get reception here?" "Hey, Gale is here too!" Lucky happily handed Gale his phone without giving it a second thought. He pointed to the blood sacrifice in progress. "Gale, did you meet Santa? I think he tried to kill us but everything is okay now." HP: 25/60 Joy: 60/100

The gingerbread man was really dangerous and out to get him he slowly realised as the razor sharp candycane missed him by inches and the thing wound up for another strike. His weapon wasn't really meant for close quarters either, you didn't expect to fire a sniper rifle at near point blank at any point at all.
This time he wasn't quick enough to get away and got a razor sharp candy cane to the shoulder, pinned momentarily to the wall before he could summon his weapon and pull away from it.
"OUCH OUCH OUCH OUCH." he cried.

He had to try and fight it anyway and summoned Fen with a hiss of effort, swinging the weapon around to try and whack the thing (which was no longer his friend) with the toothy part of the gun.
It knocked a small chunk of gingerbread off.
