Tevini Euruft HP: 4/40 (lusus) (1 ongoing until support is used from now on) Damage: 3 Direction: Right If you rolled a 3, you raise your leg to climb over a beam. The beam raises with your foot. Quickly, you leap over it in time, but catch your leg on the beam. Ow! Take 3 dmg.
"More lasers?" Groaning at the sight, Tevini couldn't help but whine. She hurt all over, they had no idea if they were going the right way, and they were alone. It was not lost on her that they hadn't seen anyone for the past few corriders. Occasionally she thought she heard footsteps behind them but they didn't have time to stop and wait to find out if it was a friend or foe. The emptiness was taking a toll on her, however. She was feeling more and more frantic as time went on. Trying to be careful, she rubbed Scuttle's back in apology. They'd already learned he couldn't get above the lasers. He was going to have to roll through again. This time looking more like hell than before. She teared up just watching it.
"Scuttle, I'm sorry!" Tears flowed as she watched her dad take it, letting out an odd hissing sound as he tried not to scream. Hugging him tight, she felt her chest grow heavy.
Cerpin Sugall HP: 3/40 (lusus) Damage: 2 Direction: Right 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you
"Focus on the goal!" This was a mess. Cerpin grit his teeth as he watched Tevini and Scuttle roll their way through, the lusus hissing and putting on a brave face for his little girl. This was just cruel. They were already bleeding and battered- what was the motivation behind this awful nightmare? He kept close to Blossmom as he bobbed and weaved through the lasers, getting a couple of nicks on his arms. At this point he didn't even care that his disguise was getting ripped up and his pride shredded. He just needed to make sure they survived.
"It's going to be okay, Vee. We've got this. Just think about the stars. We're going to be up in space someday where none of this can reach us!"

Nictor tried to keep track of where exactly Beehemoth was flying then, but it was really no luck. The lusus was far more concerned with getting them away from the trollbots and repair droids and which hallway they were entering next.
Of course, that just meant that instead of trying to shut down the bloodthirsty ai system, they were horribly lost and trying to shut down the bloodthirsty ai system. How delightful. Nictor's throat was a bit achy and felt scratched from his coughing, but otherwise, nothing too bad. Nictor shuddered and hunkered down against Bee even more. If his lusus had been just a little bit later, he'd have more than a slightly achy throat for him trouble.
Nictor was sure he'd be glad to never see another trollbot again.
As they veered around the next corner, Nctor yelped in surprise, pulling back against Bee's fluff, making the buzzbeast rear up in agitation. Somehow the beast hadn't noticed the red laser beams that were crisscrossed all over this next hall and had been ready to charge through them.
Nictor frowned at the beams and grimaced when he saw some debris in the middle of the mess with melted holes and lines run through it. Oh man. Turning back and finding another route would probably be their best choice. That was the idea until rabid trollbots came skidding around the corner, that it.
Bee and Nictor both let out slight shrieks of surprise. Well, that decided that then. Bee was already turning to charge so all Nictor could do was braced himself and hold on tight. Nictor pulled on Bee's fluff, directing the lusus to fly over the beams, but as they started over, the beams began shifting, moving upwards to meet them.
Panic clutched at his heart as they sped up, trying to beat the moving beams before they blocked the other side of the hall. What if they cut Bee up like they had that debris? Were they about to slam headfirst into death?
It wouldn't be the first stupid escape plan, and Nictor hoped it wouldn't be the last.
Beehemoth made a shaky tumbling landing on the other side of the hall, the smell of burnt chitin filling the air from where his poor legs had been caught. Nictor immediately hopped off, worrying and fussing over the wounds. It could have been worse but burns were never pleasant.
Nictor looked back down the corridor to see the bots stopped at the other side of the beam wall, reluctant to make contact with the things. The troll looked back to Bee and frowned. Jeez, he was taking a real beating. Nictor sighed and leaned into his lusus, hugging the big buzzbeast.
"Sorry Bee," Nictor mumbled into his lusus. He just really hated seeing the big guy hurt. Beehemoth didn't get what the big deal was though, he was glad to do his job and protect his charge. soon the two ere chittering easily with each other, Bee overly satisfied with his job well done and Nictor exasperated with the whole situation.

She cut off some cameras easy. Luxara took a couple of steps here and there to confirm. Then, she gunned it towards the lasers. She slowed down at the grid, then kept to the wall. The greenblood sidled along, missing most by a hair. Easy, easy...easy going... Almost at the end of it, her foot suddenly caught. Pro: it was her foot still in a shoe. Con: she couldn't correct herself in time to be clear of the lasers.
She grimaced, trying not to wail at the burns cutting into her chest. Bad form, bad form. After a shaky breath, she forced herself along to the end. Luxara looked around, checking for everyone else. Etsali made it, but hadn't done any better than Luxara. At least her previous injuries were healed, for what it was worth.
Luxara whirled around all the way, though, hearing a cuss from her tealblooded friend. Forera had fallen onto the floor! Worried, she ran over.
"Hey, hey." she said gently. "You fumbled but it's okay. We still got this. Take a breath. Stay with us, okay?" Luxara pulled out her trinket again, and pressed it to Forera's back.
"Feel that, Pery? It's like it never happened. So, what do you wanna do next?"
Luxara had caught up with her, making her lift her gaze to the greenblood and purse her lips. "I'm fine, Ardy. Just-- Need a sec." She murmured, struggling to get up before feeling a cold metal press against her back, a shudder coursing through her body. The tealblood exhaled. That felt refreshing-- For lack of better word. "We def. got this. We're the uh-- Snakes." She didn't know if saying Tunnel Snakes was a great idea-- They'd been screaming it pretty loudly when they'd been captured, and she didn't want to risk it. "We all got this. I'm good, I'm good." Forera pulled herself out of the hole, eyes clearer, feeling a small bout of frustration curl in her body. "I just. Wanna beat this thing up, already. At this point it just feels like we're beatin' it up but not gettin' anywhere." With a growl, Forera punched the nearest wall, feeling her anger fade after that singular punch. She relaxed. "I wish we could just. I dunno, would it matter much if this thing exploded?" Forera asked in a lower voice, glancing around the area before her eyes settled on Luxara-- "I mean, to us?" Koko was right, they had to keep moving. No more distractions. Gruffly, Leeroi turned his attention forward to the lasers in his path to victory. He scoffed, lips curling into a smirk. Though his artifact was out of charges, he knew he was hardy enough to make his way through. Guarding himself with his robot arm, he quickly found out the metal reflected the lasers back at their source.
With exceeding humor and a touch of smugness, Leeroi aimed the lasers to cut through the machine, laughing madly for anyone to hear. It was too easy, and what a fun little pattern! Like controlling a laser pointer.

Luxara nodded at her fellow shorty. Forera was a tank, clearly approaching things from a different angle from a sniper. "It's not supposed to go down easy. The important thing is the bomb they found in here. Focus on hitting the things in your way, not the big thing in control." Not as fun, she was sure, but they had to play sensibly.
Then, she blinked, calm, at Forera's quiet question. "Not really. But we're in the guts of it. Dunno if there's time to head back now. And if we did make it out, what about the rest of our people here?"
Some rebels making it out alive was good, but it felt cowardly to leave without checking on the rest. Luxara knew there were others here, probably some of the kids even.
If it was just the Snakes, hell to it, honestly. This was hell and she couldn't gauge how likely they'd succeed.
Forera nodded in response to the greenblood, stretching her shoulders and sighing. "I wish it just had a face I could beat up. Makes things so much easier." Forera chuckled. "Though things were never easy for us, I guess." She tapped her chin at her words, tilting her head slightly before humming in thought. "We could just pick'em up and leave, I guess, but I see your point." She paused. "I guess. Well, we're already here so. What can we do." She shrugged. "I'd hate it if I died here, though. Definitely not the best kinda death. We should get a move on, Ardy." She motioned with her head to the side, chuckling before continuing, keeping close watch on the others.

Running out of the laser grid, Leeroi was almost disappointed that his fun was over. Turning his attention to finding the right path, he focused on making sure his feet didn't trip over anything dangerous, occasionally shooting a glance back at his teammates to make sure they will still moving. Occasionally, he'd shout back something to keep them moving, often cut short by a robot or another path blocker.
Leeroi dealt with such issues by punching. It was a simple, yet effective solution. Only, this time, he swung with his left, robot arm, and it glitched midswing, leaving a hardly efficient mark on the roadblocking bot. The blueblood laughed, recoiling to nurse his malfunctioning arm. Grimacing to himself as he ran past the bot, he came to the realization that his arm wouldn't last much longer.

Caiden looked around the empty hallway. He panicked for an instant, looking around for his party members. "Uh, Engrav...?" Caiden squeaked. The boy started hyperventilating. "Umm..." Caiden started, thinking of something nice. The boy was pretty sure the song that just popped into his head was a good one. " Five little trolls.... Went out one day.... Over the hill and far away..." Caiden started getting a little more confident as he continued. "Mother lusus said, "Squeek, growl, bark.. But only four little trolls came back...." Caiden stopped in his tracks and thought about the song, actually paying attention to the lyrics, and he only sobbed harder, less comforted than ever.

If you rolled a 1, you trip and fall wildly as you try to pass through the beams. Thankfully, the lasers don't have enough power to cut, but they do have enough to burn. Take 5 dmg.
Engrav was done with this terrible death maze. He was trying desperately to catch up to the rest of the group, but they'd already vaulted through another grid of lasers and left him behind. He tried to move forward and get through the lasers himself, but his leg was still hurting him from earlier, and it collapsed under his weight. Morrimom grabbed him and shielded him from the worst of the lasers, but he could smell smoke from her burned feathers.
Defeated for the moment, Engrav sank to the ground, just to rest. Just a second to catch his breath.

Glancing outside a large window near them, Forera couldn't help but hold her breath, finding the view from the outside almost amazing. The tower was really huge, and they'd done some good work with materials, something she found rather amazing for Chittentown. A soft breeze pushed some of her hair away from her face, and with a deep breath, Forera's eyes lightened. It filled her with the strength to keep going, especially after being healed. It was a good feeling. HP: 16 HP Military Level Gauntlets Adept Agility Style B Artifact (1) - 1 = 0 Novice Offensive Style B Trinket (1) (cannot use)

Boss Attack
The passageway ahead is blocked by a crowd of troll-bots, milling around and bumping off each other. If metal can look confused, these seem a little uncertain about what exactly they're doing there, but the confusion disappears the moment they catch sight of you.
If you rolled a 1, a troll bot leaps on your shoulders and does it's best to try and unscrew your head from your body. Take 3 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 2, two troll-bots link their arms together and a third runs up to them, bounces off the arms, and ricochets off to slam you heavily. You're completely winded. Take 2 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 3, a troll bot in the shredded remains of a shirt that reads 'number one grubling' tackles you, and proceeds to slap you silly.Take 2 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 4, you're charged by a troll-bot that, while failing to gore you with it's horns, pins you to the wall with them. As you struggle, it begins to kick and slap frantically at you, as it seems to be stuck as well. Take 1 dmg, and 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 5, as you push and claw your way through the melee, a bot lying on the ground clamps it's jaws around your ankle and gets dragged a few steps before you can kick it off. Take 2 dmg.
If you rolled a 6, out of the corner of your eye, you see a trollbot pointing at you, and jeering. You're not sure what it's mocking, but the feeling stings slightly. Take 1 dmg.
