The cat narrowed its eyes and looked up at the daggers Ree still had floating around. "....away from the windows" Ree said quietly looking at Ashral silently as he waited for anything different like what happened last time. He made his way toward the door where Nero and Grisella stood and slide out past them into the hallway as he waited for the others. "Two out front waiting to attack and two heading toward the gate with the two sisters. So four heading out and two giving cover fire. Vina.... can you shoot fire? " he said with a side-long glance at Nero but saying nothing a he looked back to Vina. The feral had rushed the guards before and likely been hit a few times with bullets, combined with a sparing use of telekinetic shield that might get rid of the two cover fire.. leaving two more if they were lucky and the sisters...then that one that disappeared!.

Vina moved away from the window at Ree's request, moving back over to the group, stepping over dead guards.
Nero kept his head down, blood-soaked hair in his face as he remained quiet. Giselle had been focused on Ashral, watching the strange things her soul was doing.
Ashral made a noise of pain and closed her eyes, her soul, becoming increasing brighter but she tried to keep her power in check, focusing on not causing the same thing that happened before.
Vina looked to Ree and nodded. "Yeah, I can ignite things from a distance as well if I concentrate hard enough." she answered.
"The two leaving are going to open the gate." Marq informed, seeing what the guards were trying to do.
"Then there's still one missing." Katarina added blandly. "Well, we can't just walk outside, they'll shoot us. Well, those they can see." she tilted her head slightly, "So kill them before they can kill us."
"Or incapacitate them." Marq brought up.
"Or kill them." Katarina insisted.

" We incapacitated one and that is the one we can't see now " he said said a little harshly as he looked toward the cat. Quieting as the cat turned to look at Ashral and limped back to them as it saw Ashral's spirit becoming brighter and brighter. //that's not good?// it sounded hesitant but then looked back toward the gates, they needed to move. Ree slowly started to put Ashral down at he looked toward the cat. "Switch " he muttered. "Vina I'm going to teleport behind the sisters and attack the two heading to the gate... that might distract the ones guarding the front for you to peek out and try to set them on fire and Katarina or Marq ...shoot at them? once or twice and duck. They can see you either ways so... i'll throw some intimidate into the mix" there was a faint sigh then glanced at Nero but said nothing, looking away.
//or we get shot and die... //
//...... we are very much running on adrenaline right now. so be thrifty ... // Ree blinked and the cat turned black as the daggers fell to the floor, this time he bent over to pick up two daggers in one hand then a gun in the other before moving to where Marq was. Glancing around he looks for the two sisters and attempted to teleport between them and the guards heading toward the gate (sight teleport= 1 left). The cat limped to Ashral and lashed its tail, jumping on her chest.

Marq frowned, not having anything to say against what Ree had said to shoot down his idea. He was outnumbered, and Ree was right.
Vina nodded. "I can do that." she commented as she handed her gun to Katarina and saw that Marq had one too. There, they would be set.
Nero looked to Ree hesitantly. "....don't...." he muttered. ".....third is there...." he explained in a soft voice, and put Giselle down. ".....i can be a distraction......" he offered quietly then fell silent.
Giselle looked at him with concern, "..Nero."
Nero gave her a slight smile of reassurance. "... it's okay...." he spoke to her softly before looking back to Ree. "....window... bear... scary...." was all he really said then waited for Ree's response.
Marq looked down to Ashral. "Do you.. want me to carry her?" he offered, not sure how Ree would take it, being that they really hadn't been on good terms ever.
Vina looked to Marq and sighed, "You have to shoot... I can take her, I just need sight on them to ignite." she revised, also knowing that Marq's offer likely wouldn't go over well either.
Ashral grimaced as she was moved, baring fangs for a moment before her breathing quickened. Her soul was getting stronger but she just continued to look like she was in pain for some reason. The skin at the edges of her eyes were beginning web with red lines that were very faint.

The cat looked up at Nero and twitched its tail as it looked to Gisella then back and nodded silently. Looking up at Marq from the top of Ashral's chest were it was perched it started the hint of a nod before Vina spoke then looked between them and nodded again, or leave her on the ground which seemed to be the best bet. Turning to look back to Ashral it's fur went up on ends. Fangs?.. were those fangs? Ree appears and aimed at gun at the back of one of the running guards and fired before trying to shoot at the second one.

Nero turned as Ree disappeared, running into the bedroom and the crash of breaking glass before he tumbled, rolling across the ground as he transformed into a large black bear with glowing red eyes once again. Taking off running for the gate to assist Ree as the two guards at the front doors turned to shoot at him. Bullets knicking into fur and flesh only made him charge faster, more blind, and even angrier.
As Ree appeared, shooting down one of the running guards then turning to the other. Marion screamed at the sound of the gunshot but Hope kept her running forward. Ree would feel something grab onto him, an forearm that wrapped against his throat, pulling him back and a hand against his arm to shove his aim upward, shooting it off into the sky. Whatever it was, had grabbed him from behind, pinning his wings and was grappling him even if he couldn't see who had a hold of him. The second guard he had been about to shoot, continued on to the gate, unlocking it and beginning to push it open.
Vina scooped up Ashral and moved to the end of the hallway, kneeling down low to try to get a look at the guards shooting at Nero. Giselle had picked up the cat into her arms as she stayed behind Vina. Marq and Katarina ran afterwards, aiming their guns at the one on the left. "..Vina. Right." Marq whispered. Vina nodded and narrowed her eyes, concentrating hard as the edges of the guard's cloak suddenly roared up into flames. Katarina and Marq both shot at the other guard as his body dropped to the floor before shooting the guard that was on fire to kill him as well when the fire wasn't fast enough.

Ree shot the first and turned to shoot the second, not feeling the arm that wrapped around his throat until it was to late. He fired but another hand was there already pushing the gun higher making him miss. He noticed the two sister run past him so it wasn't them.
Trying to flare his wings they were trapped within the both bodies and he couldn't elbow back..phase? Pulling for the energy he felt only a slight drop, not useful for anything. Struggling frantically he tried to slam his head back before jumping back into the person trying to choke him. All his actions were less forceful than they might have been, as his legs struggled to do the action, he could have equally likely collapsed than jumped back.
The cat watched them silently,it's body more and more transparent as it turned to look toward the gate where its other half was sending a feeling of fear and exhaustion. "....." it could see Nero heading that way as well.
-One guard down...the other is opening the gate, the two sister are running to the gate. Something or someone is holding my body back...perhaps the missing guard- it said tiredly to Giselle so she could tell the others.

Nero continued after the guard he could see and slamming the visible guard to the ground, wrapping sharp teeth around his body, ripping into flesh violently with vicious growls and roars.
"One guard is down and the other is still opening the gate. Marion and Hope are running. There's something holding onto Ree." Giselle relayed as Katarina stared at her curiously then to the cat.
Vina looked down to Ashral and cursed, but before she could ask Marq to take her, Marq had already bolted from his position to run towards where Ree was in an attempt to help him. "Marq! You can't even see th-... s**t..." she cursed again, clenching her teeth with worry. "Both of you need to get to somewhere safe before this gets out of hand again.
"No, I'm staying. I'm the only one that can hear the cat, and I have to stop Nero!" Giselle insisted.
Katarina shook her head, "I'd look like an awful friend if I was the only one who left... It's fine."
Vina shifted Ashral within her arm who was still wincing from pain as the red lines only grew and her fanges bared as Vina looked to her and stopped then looked to the daylight outside. "..oh s**t..." she remembered what Ree had been rambling about before as it suddenly dawned on her. "...she's a vampire..."
Giselle looked to Ashral and frowned. "She's... all sorts of things.."
"What?"
"I don't know. She's not like the other spirits I've seen... her soul is getting brighter and it's getting stronger.. but that's not supposed to happen. It's changing her and that could be bad.. or good.. I don't know." Giselle looked down to the cat in her arms. "I think it's because of Ree..." she commented then frowned and moved to the door, worriedly watching the mayhem outside.
The invisible attacker appeared unphased as it moved it's free hand under his arm and used a sweeping motion of the leg to try to grapple him to the ground.

-Stay together... it's safer. There are only two left and the sisters- knowing it had not heeded its own warning but it was important to get there before they opened the gate. Even if now they were at risk of passing out ..if not dying. The cat stared after Marq silently then looked back to Griselle and Vina then Katarina and nodded . Turning to look back at the fight, it quietly flicked it's tail, turning sharply only when Vina started mentioning vampire. -Vampire? How? I thought Spirit killed the maker..and that was before they took her away.. - the cat shifted in her grasp tired but only enough to look toward Ashral silently. -She is a True Shadow...reborn...died again recently. Then put into the body of a magi ...- it trailed off and struggled slightly to get down so it could get to Ashral, flicking in and out of visibility from lack of power. Ree tried to jerk back but then was falling forward, trying to breath even as he hit the ground with his attacker on him. Terror washed through him as his vision flickered to black as he still tried to struggle but it was less and less.

Giselle didn't have time to tell them to stay together as they were now split into two groups now. Vina refused to leave the house, she only had a vague understanding of what a vampire was and knew that the others had no idea what it was. She backed up slightly and noticed the cat then put Ashral down on the floor for it to get to her. "I don't want to take her outside... I read in Lady Carmella's book somewhere about vampires.. I thought it was made up but the fangs.." she hesitated. "I remember it said something about sunlight hurts them but I don't know how bad or what it does..." she confessed to the cat and frowned.
Ashral appeared to be having difficulty with the pain as her breath was shallow and she didn't move on her own, too weak to find the strength.
"Her soul is too strong for the body..." Giselle commented then looked to the cat.
"What does he want me to do?" Vina asked, not sure if it was even talking or not.
Katarina thought for a moment before she suddenly disappeared from sight.
Giselle was listening to the cat. "The must have changed the body? I don't know. Uhm.. When they took her, they didn't do anything to her. They just took her and kept her in that room with them. Her soul didn't change..." she spoke with a slight confusion. "I don't-... what's a shadow..." she asked, not even sure as she was just confused by races she'd never heard of before.
The two sister kept running and slipped out of the opening made in the gate, trying to get away towards the town.
Marq ran as fast as he could, jumping to tackle to invisible enemy off of Ree and pinning them, punching into the body a few time, a flicker of the image of a guard flashed in and out before returning to invisibility and Marq was thrown to the ground and he grabbed at his throat, struggling to breathe. The moment Marq's face started changing color with asphyxiation, the enemy was suddenly gone and Marq coughed, putting a hand against his throat and sat up. Looking to Ree, he scrambled to him. "Hey! Are you hurt?!" Without even waiting for an answer, he placed a hand on him, sending a healing sense to identify injuries and heal them if he had any.
Meanwhile, Nero roared up and chased after the two sisters in a blind rage.

As Vina put her on the ground it moved the rets of the way to her, nudging her cheek withit's nose. -Ashral.....Ashral...- it nudged her again. -...What do you want? - There was a flicker of pain in its voice as hints of white splashed its fur, it would pull at the soul in the dead husk like it did with Rika if she agreed...if she asked for help in that way. -Vampires are real. More common on the mainland and they are ...weak against sunlight? I just know that if I had to fight one for any reason I needed to move them to sunlight. - it was rambling slightly. -Shadow is ...a Shadow- as if unable to explain that other than just being, it was trying to breath even if it didn't need to breath then it jerked its head up. still flickering.
-..Giselle. Get Nero before he reaches town!- Ree was coughing and gasping for air barely conscious as his intimidation aura slipped from his grasp. He grimaced jerking away from the new person that translated to a flinch until he saw the feather edges and voice of the other Arch. "Sorry.." said the raspy voice, just trying to stay conscious even as he felt the warmth of healing energy traveling through him. "...bear" he muttered trying to warn him, hearing the roar outside the walls and knowing he will get shot with something worse than the pistols here if he reached the town.

Ashral couldn't hear the cat as she winced but then opened her eyes slightly as she looked over to the cat and smiled. Her sclera were darkening around her red eyes as tried to reach out to touch the cat. "..ree..." she muttered softly, her soul resonating and flickering brighter even if slowly.
Giselle was about to say something when she blinked suddenly and jerked her vision to outside, seeing Nero taking off into town and she looked horrified. "Nero!!" she cried out before looking to the cat. "I can't run that fast!!!" she exclaimed in a deep panic.
"Get to Marq! He can fly!! Just run!!" Vina yelled at her suddenly. Giselle didn't even have time to process being startled by Vina's outburst before her body began to move, running outside towards Marq.
"It's okay.." Marq commented before the roar of the bear and Ree's voice alerted him to the impending trainwreck of bear in the city was about to be. He swung his head to look for Giselle, already seeing her running towards him. "Giselle!" he called out, outstretching his hands as he flared his wings, ready to fly. Just hoping he could after being grounded so long.
The moment Giselle reached his grasp, he wrapped his arms around her tightly and took of with a burst into the air, flying quickly towards town after Nero who had not stopped chasing the sisters who were screaming in terror.
Katarina appeared suddenly, holding a folded up blanket. "Will this help?" she asked flatly, but genuinely trying to help. She paused, noticing that Giselle was gone and looked to the cat. Well, this would be interesting with no communication to the person that probably knew. She set down the blanket next to Vina to use if they needed it and flew out to meet Ree on the ground outside. "Hey.."

The cat moved closer and put its head under her arm even as it flickered dimmer, watching Giselle run outside and hope she made it. That was part of the reason he didn't want to ask the Feral... he didn't want to risk her guardian's life until he offered. Eyes flickered to Katarina and it nodded slowly as it rested its head on Ashral, still unsure what to do but her aura was brighter not getting weaker not like a trapped bird like the other one had been... Ree managed to move to a sitting position and looked up at Katarina, there was no recognition for a few seconds before it snapped into place. ".....Handy" he muttered tiredly tilting over already as he tried to look toward the gate as if having trouble remembering what was happening, about to pass out even as he tried not to.

Vina wrapped Ashral and the cat together into the blanket, mostly trying to cover Ashral to keep moving, but looking out to see Ree still laying on the ground, she cursed. Only Katarina and her were left but that wasn't enough to carry them both to a shelter. She'd have to wait for Marq to come back, hopefully with Nero and Giselle. Either way, she ran out to Ree and tried to at least drag him back with Katarina's help into the foyer of the mansion, keeping them all together until the others could return. There was talking but it was too faint now as Ree's exhaustion would overtake him.

When Ree could wake up again, he was laying down on a small cot in what looked like a fairly large underground stone room. He wasn't collared, and his injuries healed. There was a young human girl about twelve or so sitting next to the cot, staring at him, analyzing his body for some reason and reached out to touch his bare stomach.
The room was dimly lit, and there were others in the room but further away. Someone else in another cot across the room, and everyone was either asleep or trying to rest the best they could.

Cat like eyes open slightly as he felt a touch on his stomach, blinking once then twice as he stared at the girl across from him sleepily. Girl?Hexxis? Grisella? No olde- Eyes widen in alarm as he surged up to a sitting position, reaching toward his neck as he looked around frantically, pulling in his intimidation aura and pushing it down even against instinct. There was a rush of relief as he touched skin, no metal, no collar at all just the thin cord of the necklace he always wore. Where was he? They? The panic look on his face slowly faded as cold eyes turned to the girl and the other cots silently, then back. He was not restrained , they were not trapped. Who were the others? Where were they? And where was Ashral and the others? " Where?" He whispered quietly as he watched her.
