Looking good so far! I understand it's been awhile, so I hope you don't mind some direction/suggestions^w^
1. If you're not sure about what races exist or don't, there's a big list on the second post of the Lore and World Book. You're also free to request something not there as long as it isn't on the list of extinct races in the same post. We'll consider quite a bit :3 2. You can just use basic ethnicities: white, hispanic, Korean, etc, etc... 3. There are only five Elemental Affinities: Air, Water, Spirit, Earth, and Fire. You can choose up to two, but they cannot conflict with each other. For info on Elemental Affinities and their counters, there's a bit about them on the third post of the Lore and World Book. 4. The Elemental School is a good choice, but your character's expertise and breadth within the school relies heavily on their Elemental Affinity. She'd be able to complete more powerful spells within her Affinity, smaller spells outside of it, and unable to perform spells within conflicting Affinities. For example: If she were a Water Affinity, her water spells would be impressive; however, she'd be able to do Air-related spells as well and even mix the two for ice-based magic. Earth and Fire spells would be out of her realm, however, because they would conflict with her Water Affinity. 5. Shadow manipulation lies in the realm of Illusion as mentioned in the fourth post of the Lore and World Book regarding the magic schools; however, Whisping Demise could either fall under Illusion as long as they do nothing but cause distraction or Conjuration if you'd like them to be more effective later [she could perhaps minor in either of these Schools] 6. I'm curious about the Thick Red Liquid in her invo? 7. Spells have to be ranked on a scale from E-SS, the first being useless, the latter being BROKEN. For help Ranking your Spells, the sixth post in Character and Profile Information in the Profiles SubForum has a great guide by our Crew Member Johto Crisp.

Username: II Minute Man II Name:Almar Zaviaan Nickname: The Vulture Race: Human Ethnicity: Caucasian Gender: Male Orientation: Heterosexual Alignment: Lawful Neutral Affinity: Air Affinity Age: 49 Birthday: October 26th Height: 5’11 Weapon:Self-sustaining Mana Crystal: A mana crystal draws in the ambient mana from the environment, a self sustaining crystal does this until its shattered. Almar uses it as a back up supply of mana. The crystal can be used either to provide diminutive amounts of mana subtly, for a lengthy engagement or be completely surged in a single moment, in turn shattering it. Magic:
Mesmerist: Illusion and Enchantment Hybrid
Ascendant Awareness (Enchantment Spell B+) : Emanating mana around his person and into a localized area, the size of which varys depending on the amount of preparation and mana dispensed, Almar becomes aware of the most diminutive details in the contained field. The physical senses are elevated with the sub-conscious mind becoming the seat of all instinctive and physical reaction. This leaves Almar to focus on conjuring illusion via imagining them in the localized area.
Illusory Light (Illusion Spell Rank: B+ ): Almar focuses in on the light waves in a localized area to distort or create a visual image by manipulating direction and frequency. The visual images are dependant on what he imagines taking shape. Light can be bent around a physical object or person to appear as something or someone else or just distorted. Conjured objects are distorted or simply phase through physical objects depending on the scenario.
Invisibility (Illusion Spell Rank: D): A by-product of illusory light Almar casts a glyph onto a person or object, causing the light to bend around his person or the object making him or an object invisible to the naked eye.
Solar Burst (Illusion/Enchantment Spell Rank: C): Focusing in on the wavelength of a ray of light Almar manipulates its wavelength to a cause a blinding flash of light in a desired direction.
Illusory Audio (Illusion Spell Rank: B+): Akin to illusory light Almar can create a desired sound in an area under his control by causing vibrations to occur through a medium, which generally tends to be air. The sound created is dependant on the pressure of vibrations.
Mismerists Terrain (Illusion/Enchantment Spell Rank: S): A spell which causes Almar’s illusions to have a not only an audio and visual aspect but also a seemingly tactile and olfactory feature. This occurs when an individual meets a visual illusion or becomes subject to an audio illusion. When this occurs the physical sensations on the individual in question are activated in accordance to the scenario. For example, if an illusory sword was to cut their finger they would feel the pain and so on.
Relationships: ❖ -TBD
Strengths:
✔ Illusions are limited only by imagination which in effect allows Almar to give off the impression of being more powerful than he actually is.
✔ Almar spells focus on manipulating his opponents to react in a desired manner. Because of this Almar is at his best when fighting along side a knight in a supportive role.
✔
Weaknesses: ✘ Almar does not have a true offensive capability. The strength of his conjured illusions are inversely proportional to the intelligence and will of his opponent.
✘ Almar’s true capability lies in working with a knight, in a solo fight it is difficult for Almar to come out on top.
✘Almar's spells are interconnected, to conjure powerful illusions Almar requires preparation and concentration which causes him to be stationary.

Alright! You're looking pretty good so-far! There are only a few suggestions/questions I have to clear things up^w^
1. We're currently being rather strict with the profile layout, so if you could put his image on the right, that'd be awesome. For a period, we had a number of Members taking some more drastic liberties, and I just wanna avoid that.^^ 2. Unless he plans on attacking people with the mana crystal directly, that can just be mentioned in his invo at the bottom of the profile. 3. For Ascendant Awareness, if you could list the maximum and minimum radii, that'd be great. 4. Illusionary Light would probably be better suited as Rank C, in my opinion. 5. Mismerists Terrain is pretty cool, but I'm curious if it has a time limit or range limit, that kind of thing. As it is now, it'd probably be within a B-A ranking. Those specifications could push it one way or the other.
Those are actually super-little things, and I'm really excited to see the profile when it's completed! He seems super-cool so far!

Username: Zylvanness Name: Zeal Nickname: None Race: Dark Elf Ethnicity: Scandinavian Gender: Male Orientation: Asexual Alignment: Neutral Good Affinity: Spirit Affinity Age: Between 20 - 30. His people didn't really count, he just knows he had a birthday. Birthday: 1st November Height: 5' 10" Weapon: Scythe (See image) Mage: N/A
Natural Abilities: [Name and Rank] ❖ Raise Dead (Rank B): Once per day, Zeal can call upon his innate ability to give life to several corpses within arm's reach. The ability forces the flesh from the bone and the risen skeletons are mindless, uncontrolled by Zeal and attack anything that come close to them. Usually these skeletons are easy to defeat, however the echo of the mana that the skeleton once had in life effects how strong the undead bond is. For example, the body of a powerful mage would take more blows to destroy than the skeleton of a normal civilian. This ability often causes the corpses to chatter with echoes of their last thoughts before lashing out as undeath takes over them. ❖Cold Rush (Rank C): Zeal can force his body to become cold like a corpse, hindering his movement and actions greatly whilst active, it obscures himself from heat vision and enables him to last longer from great wounds. If Cold Rush is used during or after a mortal wound has been taken, he must stay under the effects of Cold Rush or risk dying, unless his attacker has already caused further harm. ❖Spectral Speed (Rank A): With great focus Zeal can focus his energy into a great burst of speed, letting him manoeuvre around, through or over obstacles or people. He can combo this ability with his scythe to attack quickly and precisely for a limited time.
Magus Abilities: (Name and Rank) ❖ [abilities the Knight gains through the addition of mana] ❖ ❖
Unison Abilities: (Include Description and Rank) ❖ [abilities the Knight gains through the addition of mana that act as a representation of their bond] ❖ ❖
Relationships: ❖ Vanguard of Adrestia - orphan
Strengths: ✔ Calm and collected ✔ Driven ✔ knowledgable
Weaknesses: ✘ Air Affinity ✘ Lacks empathy, Zeal can understand most feelings of another, but cannot come to feel them or empathise himself, yet will still attempt to make right if he feels the situation is wrong. ✘
Dislikes: ✘ Sunflowers ✘ Loud, aggressive music or sounds ✘ Masters of the Vanguard of Adrestia
Personality: ❖ Zeal lacks empathy, making it difficult for him to bond with most people he comes across. Everything he does in life is part of his greater quest for the balance. Yet he is overcome with a need to learn more about the world in order to restore the balance. Zeal is protective of the ones he chooses or promises to guide or work with, yet he is indifferent to most of what happens around him unless he sees it cause a disturbance to the balance of the world.
History: ❖The Dead Forest was, for the most part, a dismal place of once high hopes and dreams. Over every upturned, mossy root, beneath every fallen, cracked tree trunk, there was an echo of something that came before. All life that had once danced through this forest was now gone. Can you hear it? The sound... of your own breath? If it weren't for the trickling rain or calm breeze whistling through the forest your own breath would have been your best friend. No one liked it there, most people avoided it, those that knew of it's location that was. Even though the Dead Forest was... vacant of most life, there was one group that called it home. Not because they wanted too, not entirely. But because they had to. They were the Vanguard of Adrestia - a mysterious group of fighters that followed the scriptures of Adrestia, the first of their order that believed in the balance of all things light and dark. Life and Death were two very important sides of the balance, and when one tips, chaos would ensue. Adrestia, a name now legend to only their order and lost to most others. She was a fighter first and foremost, but in her depictions she is seen holding up scales, blinded by cloth over her eyes and with her sword and shield placed beside her. It showed her for what she was - a fighter of change, an enforcer of retribution and revolt for times that were tough. To the Vanguard she is "she who cannot be escaped".
All words, of coarse. For the Vanguard remain now as practitioners of the balance, an equal distance between Chaos and Order. With true order comes austerity, with true chaos comes destruction. For the Vanguard of Adrestia, there can and always will be evil order, evil chaos, as well as good order and good chaos.
Before the Witch Invasion, Zeal, one of the vanguard, was amongst those that began to sense the beginnings of change, and it was a change that would upset the balance the most. The Vanguard of Adrestia were rarely seen outside of their home, an underground city of only a few hundred vanguard at a time. The Vanguard, was for the most part Dark Elves, rarely taking on apprentices from other races. Zeal was one such Dark Elf, yet he is albino, different from the others who came to number around one-hundred before the events of the Witch Invasion. He was met with prejudice by some of the other vanguard, including the Masters that ruled their city. Zeal saw the initial effects of the Witch Invasion, the effects that were not seen by most of the world. The vanguard felt it and they began to call to the dead for their answers.
The Vanguard had always been here because of its ancient heritage to magic and alchemy. It was the perfect place for them to blur the line between life and death and learn more about the world and what came beyond. Soon though, some vanguard were going missing. Zeal watched the weeks go by until finally the Witches showed themselves to the world. The Vanguard of Adrestia were split up ever since and had attempted to return back to them home, laying on the edge of the Dark Forest waiting for their time to strike. And then The Moment happened. It stole from them their ancient home. All of it, gone with the witches. Not many of the Vanguard of Adrestia survived, many forced far, far away from their home and scattered further as the Moment merged the two worlds together.
Zeal always felt... some sort of responsibility for what had happened. He learned, as he travelled about this new world as well as the old lands that still survived, that his people were often outcast, like he was from his own people. They were often compared to Necromancers, dark mages that controlled the undead for the own gain. That was not what the Vanguard of Adrestia did, they would commune with the dead, not use it. They accepted death and therefor did not fear it, they did not seek to escape death, for death in their eyes was Adestria... and she could not be escaped.
Zeal has woken up. In his spirit he feels compelled to begin his quest. He seeks to one day see the Vanguard of Adrestia brought back together, he seeks to repair the scattering of the balance and restore it so that the world might survive. There are two very different world out their that now share the same sky - and he will mend it. Now that the Vanguard were not ruled by Masters, he was not afraid to seek out a Mage, brilliant people with amazing ability to use mana. With his people rarely ever being a mage it was not often they could interact with mana, and even rarer was it for a bond between Knight and Mage happened within their ranks. They liked to think of themselves and neither knight nor Mage.
But now was time for change, Zeal had read the old scriptures over and over and now it was time for him to live true to Adrestia's name. He would seek out a Mage to bond with and through them he hoped to feel the balance between themselves before he could begin to understand the balance of the world fully.
Outfits: ❖ Black cloths and leather with gold decoration, with a main of feathers around his neck and shoulders with a long tattered cape behind him. ❖ A large black robe to conceal his identity.
Items: ❖ His scythe, one that he took from the Masters during the events of The Moment, it needed a wielder or else it would go wasted. ❖ The Scriptures of Adrestia, a book that's become old and weak with age.
Username: Living Eternally Name: Blake Trinity Nickname: Pipsqueak, Blake Dear, Big Sis, Duchess Trinity Race: Half-Elf Ethnicity: Caucasian Gender: Female Orientation: Heterosexual Alignment: CG Affinity: Spirit Age: Twenty Three Birthday: May 9th Height: 5'6" Weapon: Adamantine Bow of Holy: Blessed with positive energy, undead take 50% more damage from arrows fired from this bow. Adamantine is known as an unbreakable material, so it'd be very difficult to dent, melt, or snap. Knight:Rowan Gram Magic: School: Conjuration Subschool: Necromancy ❖Creation: Blake is capable of creating objects such as weapons, clothing, and other items. These can range from tiny to the size of small building and can range from simple to detailed. The clearer the image is in her head, the better and more accurate the creation. By touching a material object, its material makeup goes into a “bank,” and until she touches another object, the makeup is stored here for use. The items are capable of lasting up to a week before they dissipate. If enough mana is used upon the item's creation, it has a greater permanency. Blake uses this ability not only to create useful items, but she also uses it to make platforms and make-shift cover in combat. RANK C+ ❖Summoning: Calls a creature from another plane to aid in battle or daily life. Blake's specialty is with the afterlife; the astral and ethereal planes are from where her help originates. Fallen summons are sent back to their original plane and cannot be reformed until its allotted time. It works backwards, as well. She can also send creatures of the material plane to the planes. Doing so makes them seem ghost-like. Familiars:
-Astral Hound: A large transparent dog familiar with fur like the night sky. Blake is able to summon three of these at a time, though fewer are easier for her to conjure. Great for physical combat and tracking. The Astral Hound is able to reform in approximately half an hour. RANK C+ -Psychopomp - Nevermore: The Nevermore is able to sing a gripping melody able to fascinate any soul, living or dead, in the area. It's usually viewed as a symbol of death, appearing as a four-winged black crow wearing a mask, each different. Not great for combat but a good distraction. Blake, personally likes to summon the Nevermore for funerals or clients having a harder time coming to terms. It's also helpful during the rare seance. Psychopomps are difficult to summon and call. Given Blake's vast mana, she can allow this smaller summon quite a range from her. This makes the Nevermore great for letter deliveries. The Nevermore takes about six hours to reform before it can be re-summoned. RANK D - Tailors - Creatures of the Astral Plane whose soul purpose in life is to fix things. Blake's made a contract with them to heal exterior wounds. This is great if one's roughed up in a skirmish or an accident. Can't heal anything form of major damage: internal bleeding, broken or fractured bones, dismemberment, etc. They look like little humanoid spirits with a small flame for a head and give off a starry appearance. As they work, they create thread, bandages, or the like and work diligently. One finished, it appears as if there were no wounds in the first place. RANK C- -Psychopomp - Wrath: This skeletal omen of death is held aloft by a smokey pair of black feathered wings. Replacing its skull is a ceramic mask shaped like a bird's head. It's capable of summoning its own weapon, an adamantine scythe, striking fear in the soul of its enemies. This creature is a guardian of purgatory and the ethereal plane. They're highly adept at combat. These are powerful and important psychopomps and take a week to reform. Summoning the Wrath is somewhat easier if the caster's mood is foul. RANK B -Psychpomp - Custas: Custas takes on the form of a woman twice the size of a normal human bathed in astral robes, hands always clasped in good taste. It wears a bright blue venetian mask with a solemn expression that fans out at the top before the creature’s hood. It serves as a guardian of the Astral Plane and relieves humanoid creatures from their nightmares, acting as a harbinger of good dreams. It’s more capable than the Ethereal Realm’s Wrath when it comes to combat, tasked with protecting dreams from creatures who hope to infiltrate them. The creature uses the branch-like extendable appendages hidden under its robes to pierce, bludgeon, and detain. They extend to a medium range and are extremely deadly in combat. There is only one Custas, Blake isn’t capable of summoning another at the same time, and it can only be reformed after a week’s time. RANK B+
❖Binding Heal: A spell that works on both the living and the dead. Once per day, Blake can fully heal an ally using pure positive energy or completely destroy all soulless undead in the area. A very extreme version of this spell was used to resurrect her friend Ian Reignhart. RANK B ❖Raise Dead: Blake can easily call the deceased from their graves. This is typically a few soulless, undead [draugr, skeletons, zombies, etc], not very hardy but great for hordes. This spell will stir any humanoid dead within 20ft. Blake rarely uses this spell because she doesn't enjoy interrupting the rest of the deceased. RANK C ❖Control Undead: Sometimes it's easier to simply gain influence over an enemy than go through the trouble of defeating them. Control Undead allows one necromancer to test the mettle of their magic over another by attempting to dominate a raised corpse or spirit. Right now, Blake can use this necromancy on weak-willed unead [skeletons, ghosts, ghouls, etc.] Vampires, dhampirs, and undead of similar circumstance are currently out of her grasp. RANK D+ ❖Ambassador of the Dead: An active spell taught to Blake by Cheyenne, capable of lasting all day (or until Blake's mana runs dry). If the spell were to be cast in the morning, the user is able to commune with those passed as well as sense ghosts and undead within a 20ft radius. RANK D ❖Call Item: A spell more for convenience than anything, this summons an item from wherever it may be. To do so, this item must have a conjuration rune on it that Blake has imbued with her own mana. This spell has no limit of distance to it and requires significantly less mana and concentration than Creation. It's essentially just an effort-saver. Currently, there are only two items she has done this to: her bow and Natalia's battle ax. Weapons have been more...conspicuous lately. RANK E ❖Temple Cleanse: Channeling positive energy to her core, Blake's soul reaches out into the Ethereal Realm to touch another. If used on an undead with a soul or remnant of one, it allows the spirit to pass on to the next life, thus rendering the body useless and ending combat. Normally, she's able to do this within five feet or at arm's length. There are some cases, however, where Blake would leave her body for a target farther away (20ft). This seemingly causes her to lose consciousness. It is possible for stronger souls to resist her influence, but those weakly attached to bodies comply. RANK C ❖Undead Trap: Blake can use this spell to summon bone structures, disembodied hands, or any general part of a corpse. These structures can then be used to pin down other beings, keep them locked away, or even crush them if need be. This spell has a variety of uses, and it can even be prepared ahead of time. It can also be used anywhere, as long as bodies are present. To set this trap, the user must specify what type of trap it will be and what the trap will be composed off. Once these parameters are chosen, the trap will be set in place be triggered if someone comes within twenty feet of it. RANK B
Relationships: ❖ Cheyenne Trinity: Mother | Mentor ❖ Alistair Trinity: Father | Trainer ❖ Rowan Gram: Knight | Has Deep Feelings for Him [Missing] ❖ Melody Aupere: Best friend | Penpal ❖ Natalia: Maid | Manager | Begrudging Friend ❖ Lucy Reignhart: Dependent ❖ Phaser: Contact
Strengths: ✔ Undying Will: Blake is extremely strong willed. That is a basic requirement for her preferred line of work. It's rather difficult for her to succumb to unpleasant emotions. ✔ Mana Well: A vast amount of mana swims through Blake's veins. It allows her to provide her Knight with a large amount of it for combat as well as continue casting with no problems. ✔ Commune with the Dead: Ever since she was a child, Blake has been able to communicate and contact those lost souls who've yet to move on to the next realm, the ones trapped in the ethereal and astral planes. Rather than dwell on the negative, she uses her gift and natural talent for conjuration to help both the living and the dead after passing. ✔ Popularity: Blake's been able to enjoy plenty of new experiences due to her rapidly growing popularity, and while she's grateful, she finds it a bit overwhelming. Luckily, it's a chance to act as an "unofficial" representative of Carmillion and Terra. ✔ Wealth: There are few things some would consider money unable to fix. ✔ Magecraft: Although finding herself responsible for many things lately, Blake considers herself first and foremost a magus. There's always time for studying, so she knows quite a bit about magecraft and its workings. ✔ Attractive: That's what people tell her. ✔ Archery: If there's a weapon Blake doesn't epically fail at, it's the bow.
Weaknesses: ✘ One-track Mind: When Blake becomes set on something, she can easily become fixated on that one thing be it a person, event, or goal. It can be very difficult to get her to think about anything else once this happens. ✘ Combat Deficiency: Mages aren't normally combat proficient in the first place, given why they need their Knights. Blake, however, is especially terrible. Despite knowing basic martial arts and some weaponry, something always seems to go wrong: falling, missing hits... She summons creatures to do that part for her. Blake's trying her best, learning from both her father and Natalia. ✘ Popularity: While Blake's always considered herself not very good with people, the half elf has been becoming quite popular. She'd been slowly getting accustomed to being a noble, but now even denizens of the new world are becoming fans. ✘ Wealth: Due to the events over the past few months, Blake has come by quite the amount of cash. This leaves her with no need for a job and makes life quite boring. ✘ Allergy: Blake cannot consume any tree nuts. Being around them is fine, they just can't be ingested. ✘ Technology: Normally, the half-elf is quite good at picking up on new things, but in a very mage-like fashion, the secrets of the new world's technology and social media elude her. Facespace, Instachat, it's all kind of gibberish.
Likes: ✔ Helping Others: She's not currently able to provide services for those who need them, not having the time, but Blake still does her best to aid those she can. ✔ Her Knight: Perhaps "like" isn't the appropriate word. ✔ Her Family: They've been spending a lot more time together lately ✔ Adventure: A life full of action, discovery, and meeting new people? Yes, please! ✔ Studying: Between Blake's boost in status and The Moment, there hasn't been much of a chance for reestablishing her mortuary business. What time she would've normally spent on that, she's recently poured into studying Earth, Japan, and magic. ✔ Lucy: Having the kid in her life is like a breath of fresh air. Although that could very well be the result of Lucy being the only "normal" person in her life. ✔ Japanese: While lucky that one of the most common languages of Earth is very similar to the common language of Terra, Carmillion was dropped right in Japan. Blake's been trying to learn what she can of it and is more or less conversational.
Dislikes: ✘ Negative attitude: It gets people nowhere. ✘ Tree nuts: As previously mentioned, she's allergic. ✘ Violent or invasive spirits: They're hard to deal with. Blake's a medium not an exorcist. ✘ Being rich: Middle class was just too much to ask, wasn't it? ✘ Natalia's Antics: Honestly, isn't a maid's job to make life easier? ✘ Ill Intent: The Moment was a traumatizing experience for everyone involved. Terrans were thrown into a new environment while Earthlings became exposed to concepts and creatures they would've never thought existed. Taking things out on or making things worse for either side is simply going to slow progression and create more problems. ✘ Complicated Technology: TVs and the internet are great and all, but keeping it together is difficult enough without social media. ✘ Snakes: It's less of a fear now than it is a certain level of unsightliness.
Personality: ❖ When it comes to any sort of job, Blake is a professional. This once applied to her job in the funeral service but has transferred over to her frequent interviews and the like. She's calm and friendly, ensuring those with whom she's communicating feel the same. It's important to maintain a good atmosphere to grant a capability of moving forward, both with the deceased and the after events of the Moment. Blake is very respectful, and is always willing to accept a new job when it comes to magic or funeral service. Sometimes either of those skills are mistaken for exorcism or other shifty things of sorts, but as long as the request is good in nature, she'll usually agree. Things like this can usually get her into trouble and have once or twice. She's usually just as accepting considering interviews and appearances, but will decline every so often if she becomes overwhelmed. While this used to be a strong front she'd put up, this Blake's personality has lately been more and more her true nature. She isn't immune from losing this cool, however. One loaded question or embarrassing remark can flip a switch back to her socially awkward self. Her level of composure on the job is important. No judging, no complaining, no fear. The elf is definitely an upbeat young woman. She's naturally friendly and outgoing with almost anyone be it clients, fans, or friends. Some find it rather annoying, but many find her happy attitude charming and well-placed, a bright light in this dimming world. Though she's less prone to impulse now, the woman is still stubborn as a mule. No matter what, Blake will do her best to help anyone who asks her. This can lead to some trouble if she ends up getting caught in someone else's mess, earning her a chastising from anyone willing to give her a "dose of reality". Despite this somewhat depressing fact, Blake tries her best to to do what she can for the world. That's exactly what it is now. Terra or Earth, it's all their shared space. Whether the outcome was ideal or not, this is what became of for what they fought. When it comes to fighting, Blake's gotten...better in her own right. Gods forbid she pick up a sword, and as unwilling she is to cause harm to another, she understands now that it's a necessary evil. If she knows her actions will protect others, the fae can use her magic and massive amounts of mana to deal devastating attacks. Pair that with a relentlessly powerful knight or battle-crazy dragon kin, and you've got a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, her soft heart can be easily pandered to and cause her to get distracted or have second thoughts. Blake isn't immune from bad feelings, but her will allows her to get past them rather quickly. This is super-helpful when certain people are being particularly rude, others particularly harassing, or when she finds herself between a rock and a hard place. When it comes to interviews, possible fans, parties, or anything really pertaining to Blake's popularity, she does her best to keep her composure and not say anything awkward. The interest is appreciated, but her life goals remain elsewhere, though such a realistic lifestyle seems far-fetched at this point. As someone who enjoys working, getting paid for practically nothing seems strange to her, but the woman recognizes her place.
History: ❖ Pre-Nevermore: A Tale of Knights:
Born to a strong Knight and talented necromancer , Blake Trinity has always had a high affinity for the afterlife. Spirits haunted her dreams and nightmares. These things were scary, torn apart by their deaths and unfinished business, they called to her in moaning voices while she hid under the covers. Hospitals and cemeteries petrified her, and living at above her family's funeral home certainly didn't help. Her mother was the one to show her how to turn her natural gifts around. Cheyenne even inspired her to get into her current line of work, helping those with lost loved ones move on after the deaths. It did Blake's heart good knowing that she could help those both alive and dead, even aiding those who've past to move on to the next realm. To continue in this line of work, however, she'd need to go under a lot of training to better her capabilities of doing so. Thus began her adolescent years. Blake spent a lot of her time perfecting her conjuring magic. She reached into the planes to which she had greater connection, contacting and even summoning creatures some may never even see in their lives. While doing this, she worked in her parent's funeral home as an intern, helping those torn with loss to connect with their loved ones and move on. It was during this time that she began her weekly sparring with her father. If the girl was intent on becoming a prolific magus, she'd have to learn how to take care of herself to a degree before taking on a Knight. It was then they found out that she was very bad at combat. Laughably bad. Years of training have only barely fixed that, but her competence on the battlefield really layers down to her magic capability. Toward the end of this physical and magical training, she met someone who became rather important to her. The kid was feeling rather down one day. One of the clients had called her names because of something an ethereal client wanted to convey. The woman didn't like what she heard and decided to shoot the messenger. Training didn't go too well, either. She got a little ahead of herself and ended up getting more injured than she was used to. Smile, though, say thank you for the lesson, offer to go run errands, and cry a little before getting to town. He happened to be in the right place at the right time. The soldier caught her and saved her from falling and loosing the groceries she had collected, and after that, they began talking. They spoke often, and he was willing to help her with little mundane things, listen to her issues. She even developed somewhat of a child's crush on him, silly with their age difference at the time, but there'd be a chance to catch up. Cute, pre-teen feelings the she giggles at now. Ian hardly seemed to judge her. She wasn't annoying or weird, and this time became cherished to the girl. He helped her see the bright side of things, and inspired her to be the woman she is today. After some time...they fell out of contact. It made Blake sad, but she understood that he probably had to move around as a military man. She hoped that he had accomplished his goals of becoming a Knight. It made her think of her father.
Once Blake and her family were finally confident in her skills, she started her own business helping people. Her work began to grow over time. She felt like her life was finally beginning. The elf even moved a few towns south of her parents and rented the apartment where she currently resides. Every once in a while, she'd get the odd job, but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle. Her most recent misunderstanding did happen to get her into a particular amount of trouble. An elderly man on the outskirts of town had already paid her for a job she hadn't finished. Blake had a hard time turning him down... "You can commune with the dead, right? These fellows keep coming to my house trying to attack me. I could really use your help." There were surely people more battle proficient and capable at a job like this than her, but it was so much cash, the elf hated to have to give it back. With a confident breath, Blake nodded. The old man lived on the outskirts of one of the not-so-explored forests between the kingdoms. The actual location was rather far out. The man had mentioned he'd found it on a walk, going too far into the forest. What he'd uncovered was a burial site and abandoned cult meeting ground. It was full of nearly a hundred undead. Blake barely escaped with her life, relying at the end solely on what she knew of martial arts, expending all of her spells. Inside on a pedestal was an armored arm that particularly caught her interest... No matter how many times she tried, Blake couldn't get it on. It seemed to actually reject her, almost propelled from her flesh like a magnet. The fey's eyes widened at her conclusion about the piece, but she was also rather frustrated with the truth... The man was thankful, but Blake came out rather wounded and out-of-commission for a week. She still has the scar along her arm from a deep wound. This event lead her to a revelation: She needed a Knight. Only one person came to mind. He, however, had his own priorities, his own goals. Certainly playing body guard to soothe-sayer wouldn't peak his interest. She tried dawning the arm again. Maybe something like this would help her fight on her own merit. It still rejected her. Items of fable, armaments, chose their master, and this one was not a fan of Blake. What a pain. The young woman wasn't wrong. Very few Knights were willing to work for such a boring magus. It was almost disheartening. An idea struck her during a meeting with a client, one particularly upset about their death.
With a John Doe cadaver and an item as a focus, she could contact a resentful soul and tie them to it. It would take almost all of her mana to complete the spell, and getting the right item would take some time. She was sure that her mother could get a hold of a body, and a battlefield would hold something she could find for a strong soul! Undercover, Blake was accompanied by an Astral Hound as she made her way between the kingdoms. Blake found here something that she couldn't believe. For the first time in a while, the elf cried. Collapsing to the Earth, she gripped the pendant like a lifeline as she bawled horribly for what seemed like hours. This was Ian's, the only other friend she had before Melody. The photo of her locked inside...no one else but her parents had a copy. Many things ran through her mind: how he could have dropped it, how it could've been stolen by someone else, but some undeniable feeling, one she knew well, told her that he was gone. This... This would serve as her conduit. Blake would bring him back... She would help him be a Knight again.
The night she summoned Rowan was dark and warm. She hid herself in her attic with the remains in the middle of a massive summoning circle, one she'd been working on for weeks. Blake placed the pendant on the body and held tightly to the somewhat charred photo of herself. Closing her eyes and mumbling the words of her Bonding Heal, she let her own soul stretch out into the ethereal plane, looking for her lost friend. Her determination allowed her to latch onto another human, and she could swear it held the same warmth, but the person she summoned was much colder... Blake lay outside the circle, crippled with exhaustion, panting and shaking as she looked up at the stranger. The body even now somewhat resembled him! Her magic wasn't as good as she'd thought it was, though. This person, the soul she pulled, wasn't her friend. They didn't even know her. It wasn't as if Blake hadn't prepared for this, but the hope that filled her left her expectations high. Dubbing her new Knight “Rowan,” the young fey formed a bond with whoever this person was. Despite everything, she still needed him...
❖ Pre-Witch Invasion Arc:
Blake lived together with Rowan for a few months, learning more about the man. Well, as much as she could given his amnesia. He was cynical, self-deprecating, and was sassy beyond necessary. For someone with no memories, his view of the world was quite dark. Despite his crude and stoic exterior, Rowan was still... supportive in his own right. He gave her the courage to venture outside of Carmillion's borders and proved his over-qualification as her knight time after time. There was something about the man, though...always scratching at the back of her mind. Sometimes, he'd let things slip about how much he really remembered, do things that reminded her only of the one she'd initially tried to resurrect. The two of them were at such odds, though, and it was hard to tell what he was thinking anymore than simply attempting to deter her good mood... Who knew the amount of pain he'd been putting himself through? It was when Rowan let a rather major detail slip that she made up her mind, to do some delving into his past. Whether this was a mistake or the right choice still evades the woman, for she learned far more than she expected.
As it turns out, Blake Trinity had actually succeeded in a full-on resurrection. Rowan not only had his memories but was also the exact person she had tried to bring back, or rather... he was what remained. After making a deal with her mother to go back to her roots and train at the capital, her Knight's tragic past was made clear to her. His dreams and aspirations... his hardships... and his death, the most horrible, gruesome, disturbing thing she'd yet to see. Bodies weren't always worthy of open-casket funerals. The poor thing had seen her fair share of death and gore in her line of work, but this was a whole other level. Right before her eyes, the man she had idolized for such a long part of her life was being literally torn apart by a sadistic, malevolent dragon woman. Mentally and emotionally exhausted, Blake went off with Cheyenne to her childhood home to repent for breaking a sacred code. It would be a while before she saw her Knight again.
Blake trained with Cheyenne for a few weeks while her father, Alistair, and Rowan traveled outside the kingdom. When they returned to the funeral home, the Mage and Knight had a little... talk with one another. Each revealing their own truths whether they wanted to or not. Somehow, even the half-elf's emotions regarding the man were dragged into the light. With all these things out in the open, she felt there was a whole other air around them. Wanting to support him as well as getting her own kind of closure, Blake agreed to help exact his revenge on the dragon kin that had done more than take the lives of him and his fellow soldiers. This led the two on their own sort of quest to do exactly that, though doing so without Cheyenne's permission led to some...interesting accusations and run-ins. After all, taking off without any warning did warrant some suspicious activity. It didn't help that Blake's mother had a particular distaste for him.
It took quite some time to find the dragon kingdom, a massive platform of land floating up in the sky over a necrotic-looking forest. They'd come by several interesting things, people, and situations. Blake even took the lead for some time during their travels. All the while, Rowan "trained". Using one of his more lethal techniques, he tore up his body again and again while she healed him, repaired his busted ligaments and muscles so they grew stronger to make up for the damage. It was a worrisome tactic for the poor girl. Seeing him break himself like that caused her a certain amount of distress; however, these were the terms she agreed to when wanting to help with this venture. Surprisingly, something concerned her a little more. Whenever he came by dragons or dragon kin, there seemed to be a chance that he'd lose himself... This had initially simply been her own theory, though it would later be confirmed in a very... strange manner. Nonetheless, they found her. The witch of a woman who'd used her power for slaughter rather than defense. The one who'd killed Ian. At the end of the battle, Blake wasn't sure if this was the right option. Would revenge lead to liberation or emptiness? Was fighting fire with fire the appropriate choice? In the end, however, Rowan made his own choice... to spare the woman named Natalia.
❖ Witch Invasion Arc:
I'm honestly getting tired of recapping, so I'm gunna fill in this chunk later.
❖ The Moment: Upon being enveloped in the white light of the witches' spell, Blake had honestly expected searing pain. Instead, it was cold, not painfully cold, no. This was something more akin to a draft in a room. The worst thing about this sensation was the ringing in her ears. In fact, she still felt her dad's arms still wrapped around her, having kept her from charging in like a madwoman to stop whatever ridiculousness Rowan had planned. Eventually, the light subsided, and as it faded, the group was met with a very strange image: they were in an entirely different place. No, it wasn't entirely different, but it was certainly not the same At first, it was hard to wrap her head around it. On one hand, she was slightly delirious given the power of spell her knight had absorbed a few moments before. On the other, it was simply a lot to take in. All that was immediately clear was one thing: everyone was here but Rowan. Blake was in a daze as the group was approached by just as confused-looking humans.
Turns out the witches' spell had some sort of effect they had no expected as their homeworld Terra had merged with a place called Earth. Everything was distributed around awkwardly, causing its own sort of distress, but the humans of Earth weren't prepared for the creatures Terra brought with it. Although...where were the witches? Where was her knight? Had the ones who'd been immediately caught up in the blast incinerated? With the disappearance of the enemy, that would have been the safe assumption, but... She didn't want to believe such a thing if it meant the same for Rowan. So, for the first month, she looked for him. She looked all over Carmillion, she looked in parts of Japan, but the man was nowhere to be found. It was while she and Natalia had been looking in a part of the city when a huge monster was released to wreak havoc. Apparently, an extremist group wanted to make a message. Either it wasn't as tough as it looked or Blake had gotten stronger as she and Natalia worked together to defeat it. Little did they know the amount of people recording that fight...
It was after this that Blake's every-increasing popularity skyrocketed. Things took a weird turn from there. She was a desirable Terran with a good heart and some level of capability. The internet caused her to blowup in nearly a night. Natalia, for some reason, grasped onto this concept and ran with it... Since then, Blake's been doing her best to keep up with everything thrown at her while accomplishing her own goals. The dragon woman had gone from maid to manager, scheduling Blake for all sorts of weird interviews and appearances that she's slowly becoming used to. She's also become a caretaker. Wanting to do right by Rowan and put her resources to good use, the half-elf had gotten in contact with the woman who'd taken in Lucy, Ian's little sister, some time ago. At this point, she was plenty capable of something as small as this. It also held its own importance with Blake... It was beginning to sink in... that she probably wouldn't see him again. At least this way, the Lucy didn't seem so far from home.
Overall, it's been three months since the merging of the two worlds. Things are still... difficult for everyone; however, it's settling down for the most part. At least on the surface. Blake lives in her own manor in Carmillion that had been built prior with her parents, Lucy, and Natalia. Keeping up with the nobility/idol game is strange to her, but she does her best. In her free time, she studies or spends some time with Lucy of whom she's grown quite fond. There are also times she aids Cheyenne and her father at their new funeral home in Lusia, though they don't live there. A curious rumor has piqued her interest, lately, as well as an email from an interesting human of Earth... While she's looking into this for the purposes of integrity, the Delinquent of Shibuya planted a little seed of hope into her...
Outfits: ❖ Casual Wear: Blake's preferences balance both comfort and style. This sort of thing allows her to look fashionable and up-to-date with the general public but also makes it easy to move around upon the chance some fight breaks out. ❖ Interview Wear: Natalia has been taking the reigns in Blake's TV and online personality, usually choosing a deep-cut fey-inspired outfit to boost her "otherworldly presence". ❖ Funeral Wear: A simple white button-up, some flowers, and a simple black pencil skirt allow her to seem stylish yet professional. ❖ Formal Wear: A black draped plunge floor-length halter dress shows off Blake's assets as well as keeps her classy.
Items: ❖Ian's Rowan's Pendant: She keeps it in her room as well as several other items of his. ❖ Brown Leather Belt with Six Pouches: These small pouches button closed with small dowels of varying materials: Adamantine, Forged Steel, Synthetic Glass, Synthetic Wood, Hard and Soft Plastic, and Synthetic Fabric each have their own pocket. These are stored here for use of Blake's Creation Spell. ❖ Silver and Sapphire Pendant of Mana Regen: Allows for spells to be cast once during their recuperation period. ❖ Cell Phone: Despite not being too fond of the complicated technology, being able to contact people from a distance without summoning a Nevermore, sending letters via giant fish, or having a landline available is pretty convenient. Calls are all she really uses it for, though. It's nearly void of apps.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ Holy COW! We are killing SEVERAL birds with one stone! This is exciting! First of all, that awkward line isn't between the photos, so it's a smooth transition! PNGS! PNGS! PNGS! Second of all, I didn't think this would look as good as it does. Hooray for trying again rather than going with our crummy first choice! Alright, time for the actual coding part. Ren's got me all excited for Nevermore. Heheheh, I've been trying to downplay my want for it. Perhaps the fact that I'm doing decent in keeping up with RWBY means I graduate. Who knows? REN! Look at the new post style with Blake! It looks so nice! I'm feeling so INSPIRED meow! Gah! Alright, alright, alright. We need a little symbol to go in the beginning and end. I tried her usual crosses, but they weren't flying, so we'll just go with these basic parallelograms for meow. Okay, now it's time for the font colors, but that'll be easy enough since I don't plan on changing Blake's speech color to save my life.
"It's yellowgreen, right? I'm pretty sure it's been that color since day one." Yes, well, it makes coding/coloring after typing a post a little bit easier. Let's check it out. This profile is going to make fine use to the Spoiler GaiaOnline gave us. Anyway, bad news, Blake. Lately, I've just been going with basic grey for thoughts rather than worrying too much about color palettes, and I'm going to do the same for you. No more gold text. "Oh, really? That's not a problem." At least no one has to strain their eyes as much now.
That's the way! Okay, I think we're done! Yay! Crap. I forgot you need a quote at the end. Uhmm... Good 'nuff.

Yay! New post style for Blake! It's dreadful that it's center-aligned, but I think this sort of post style has done well for me, and without having a long image to the side of my text will allow me to be less...self conscious about the lengths of my posts: allowing for faster posting times! Yay! Same color scheme, so dimgray for text,"yellowgreen for speech," and gold for thougts.

Test posting for Blake! Huzzah! Let's start with basic text. Shall we go with the default or gray? Let's find out. It would help if I made the text the right size in the first place. Let's try this again. Well, we're the right size now, but the title text is looking a little small. We gotta fix this size problem before we address the colors, it seems. Okay, we got the sizes down, so now we'll work on color. The default is looking a little dark, so let's try gray, I guess. As usual, gray is beautiful but maybe there's a dark gray? Alright, it looks like dimgray is my color! I already have Blake's color palette, so from this point on, it should be easy."What should be easy?"Oh! Picking colors for your speaking and thinking texts. Your color palette is literally monochrome and Sprite. I really think this is okay, though. If I decide on something else, then it'll change, but this'll be fine for now. Whatever you say, boss!I'm clearing this post for...posting.

Personality: ❖ Hayate's a brave guy, despite being very young and looking like he might not have a single bit of spine in his back. Brave and strong willed, those are two of his best characteristics. Physical danger does not really instill any fear into him, and he is more than capable of throwing himself into life-threatening situations without any hesitation whatsoever, without even having to think about any of the consequences of his actions. Even if he gets hurt he often does not show it, shrugging it off or just moving on through the pain. And the loss of hope or despair is something that cannot be hammered into his brain, he is just unable to give up on things. And if someone continuously tries to beat despair into his brain, he would take that sorrow and hit them right back, twice as hard. However, when it comes to other people and their problems, Hayate tends to take the role of a supporter and an observer. He will casually lead a person towards the answer they have yet to realize, allowing them to make the mistakes that will shape them into better people while also trying to minimize any damage caused by this. Most might see this as a lazy attitude that only hurts others... but sometimes a person does not need to be told their mistakes, but shown the painful results.
Kind, considerate, and maybe a tad bit lazy. Often he can be found, napping in some random place or lounging around because he is a bit too tired, often done comically. Most of the time there needs to be someone to keep him in line and get him in gear with a kick to the ribs or something of that sort, incentive to get off his lazy rear end and do something. This also attributes to why he is considered a loser by many people, because they see him lounging around quite a bit and not wanting to do much of anything. Still, with the right person around to keep him in line he would be able to do a lot more and probably would not seem as lazy to most people. Despite being lazy, Hayate is oddly kind and very considerate of others. Helping out people is in his blood just about, and he will often go out of his way to try and do his best to aid people as best he can. He always talks kindly to people and only treats people unkindly when they are either jerks, egotistical jerks, or just plain arrogant fools that think they are better than everyone else. In regards to how considerate Hayate is, its often not easy to tell. Namely, because he does not show that he is trying to be considerate, so it is often difficult to catch his actions. This can be shown when he does things like sitting on the worst seat of a bus so that he does not take up any of the better seats, or sleeping on the couch rather that his bed when someone needs a place to stay. He accommodates for other people without voicing it, and often does not show any signs that he is doing something for them, which often causes others to never think any higher of him.
As stated before, Hayate is the type to find an easy solution to everything, or at least the simplest one possible. This is all a rouse so that he can keep his real talents a secret, a secret to everyone but his late friend and Echo. Hayate is a master of deduction with such great intelligence that it makes most teachers pale in comparison. However, he keeps everyone shut off from his natural talent of piecing things together and discovering things about people from mere glances. He would rather stay in the background and ignored rather than be in the midst of others being lorded over because of the fact that he is supposedly "gifted". There just is not any fun in life if everyone sees you as something better than them. So he hides this side of himself and attempts to solve problems as easily as possible, often throwing himself out into the thick of things like he is some sort of powerhouse that can blast through anything. Of course, in reality he is more like a shield, he just bashed people in the face with that shield.
If he sees someone getting picked on or messed with on the street, run up and punch the guy messing with them in the face at high speed and do not think about what happens next. If someone fires a large orb of lighting at him, run up and punch through it, do not think about it. Often he finds himself running through obstacles most people would find far more difficult. Of course, this leaves a permanent mark on him as someone who is 'unfair' due to the fact that he often powerhouses through things. But rather than be depressed about being called unfair, he revels in it slightly. After all, he would rather be unfair than someone who cannot protect anyone.
There are some slight variations to his standard attitude, but these are mostly observed when Hayate is around his partner. Around Echo, Hayate is usually very relaxed and seems to be entirely comfortable with acting out who he really is, an ace detective. She is aware of all his quirks, his true nature, and all of his faults. In regards to her, he has nothing to hide and refuses to try to hide anything. They have been together so long that it just feels natural to be himself around he regardless of how she might perceive him.
History: ❖ Despair often leads to events that are unexplainable, happenings that no one sees coming. Hayate, was such a rare case in which tragedy sparked the birth of something strange, something that was absolutely unexplainable, even when compared to other thing that are unbelievable. Having grown up with a loving mother and father, Hayate pretty much had a set childhood. Go to school, come home, spend time with his parents, and wake up the very next day to see what was in store for him. Every day of his life seemed to be great, as if it were making up for some kind of lost time. Hayate never really understood why everything went the way it did, why his parents always seemed to have time for him or why every day seemed so much more fun than the last. It was comparable to paradise, the life he was living and the time he spent with his family. Of course, there had to be a reason for why everything seemed so fun, so cheerful, and soon he found out exactly why his life was so eventful, so fun and magnificent.
A festival, that was something that Hayate could remember far more clear than anything else of that day, the fact that he had gone to the fair with his parents. He was only eight then, a small child that was still innocent and happy. His parents had just bought him some food and went off to buy him something else, a stuffed toy of a character, from one of the cartoons he liked to watch as a child. They had told him to wait at the bench that he was set on, until they came back with his surprise present. That present never came, as they were killed on their way to buy him the stuffed toy. A man had lost control of his vehicle and had begun to swerve towards where the festival was going on. Most of the people who were there had moved out of the way when they saw the car, but his parents did not have time. They saw the car just a few moments too late, and as a result their lives were ended. Hayate had remained on that bench, waiting for them until someone informed him that his parents were gone... a few hours later. That day was burned into Hayate's mind, because he remained on that bench until some men in suits collected him.
From that point on Hayate lived with his grandparents. They were not nearly as kind as his parents, but not necessarily bad people either. Strict, that was a good word to describe them, strict, and they tended to not take him out much, preferring to spend time around the house. The two of them are actually the reason he is so knowledgeable and are directly responsible for his ability to piece things together. His father passed on his sleuthing skills to him and his grandmother brought over her friends, whom brought their grandchildren, and forced him to learn how to dance something he found himself to be excellent at, although he hated it with a passion. Being forced to pair up with some random person he did not know, often being a girl, and dance around with them like he was a fool, it was just something he did not like. Although he was taught rather formal dances and a few festive ones, so it was not like he was twirling around like some kind of ballerina. Still though, he disliked living like this, and his grandparents could tell.
By the age of thirteen his grandparents realized that they would never be able to properly bond with their grandson, and so they sent him to live on his own since he would rather have nothing to do with them. They paid for an apartment for him to live in and buy him groceries whenever he needs them, they even stop by from time to time to see how he is doing, but other than that he rarely even speaks with them. This was perfectly fine with him, this kind of lonely existence, where he did not have anyone around him, to comfort him. He would rather be alone then cooped up in some house being taught things he did not really care about. Of course, he had to keep his mind sharp at all times.... and grudgingly practice dancing. Over time, his situation started burrowing into his heart, and pain and despair flooded into him, the harsh reality that he was alone now, and that the people he cared about the most were gone now shattered him completely, it broke him, and made him want nothing more than to run, and keep running.
He ran, ran as fast as he could, as far as he could, and when he stopped running, he was not where he was supposed to be, he was not in his world. Having run away from his fears, his problems, his pains, he ran straight in to the Dreamscape, a world filled with the dreams of others, fueled by the dreams of others. Somehow how he had ran so far, so long, that he ended up in this strange place, where nothing seemed to be right yet nothing seemed wrong. This entire world was different from his, yet it was still only a place, not a solution. But, at least here he seemed to find joy in seeing the wondrous sights, exploring the existing world, to see how much of it there was, and how different it seemed to get the farther he ran through the world. Burying his pain, he began to explore this new world, wondering if maybe he could find the answer to his pain, the solution to breaking through it and becoming happy again. It would take a long time, and he would have to run far, far away from where he started, and probably keep running past the same places, but he knew that eventually he would reach a solution to what agonized him.
However, even if he ran in the Dreamscape, he knew he also needed to run in reality too, run to a place where he could find a release from the pain inside of him. Through both worlds he kept running, trying to find a way to ease the pain in his heart, a pain that could never be truly healed. Four years have passed since then, and Hayate has never stopped running. Going to school, practicing at home, exploring the Dreamscape, they are all a part of his life, and a way to find the solution to his paradise. To keep on running, to keep on the path that he is on, that would be the only way to find a true answer to his problems. Even if he has healed slightly over time, he still feels that pain, that pain when he remembers his parents. Just because they are gone, however, does not mean that he will give into that pain and let it overcome him. In the beginning, the very beginning, when he first found his power, he was running away from reality. But now... now he was running towards the future he wants to live in.
That future had been corrupted and rotted away by many things, including the passing of one of his dearest friends, the only one he had ever truly bonded with. She mysteriously died one day in her sleep, passing from this world and the one of dreams. Just as his parents' death had crushed him, so had the death of the girl, and her dream version whom he had become attached to as well. However, instead of driving him to retreat away from the dark reality set before him, the pain and anger he felt towards their parting from this world echoed throughout him and caused him to begin a search for whomever killed his friend. Their death, was not some random chance occurrence. They were killed and he was going to find out who, and it was obvious that his culprit was somewhere in the Dreamscape. Now, in the present, he no longer runs from the pain of his past, but towards the truth of his present. The girl he cared about so much... no, he can say without a doubt that he felt more for that girl than anyone else he had come to know. The feeling is indescribable, but saying that he cared for her is an understatement. He would find the killer, and he would bring the to justice.
Over the years, he foiled the plans of the Knightmares and constantly caused them grief. After a while he became known as "Phaser," and he became public enemy number one in the eyes of the Knightmares. One day, he stumbled across a girl by the name of "Echo," and he accidentally dragged her dream-self into the real world. Upon doing so, she became a living, breathing entity like him, trapped between reality and the Dreamscape as something that did not need sleep. Despite being wary of each other, they decided to help one another find the culprit behind his friend's death, and the deaths that were plaguing both the Dreamscape and the real world. Going by the name "Kodama Egare," they searched his world and her own for the answers that they sought. There were many battles, and they interrogated a lot of people with Echo's abilities. It took nearly a year for them to find out who had been killing people in the Dreamscape, and during that time the two of them bonded far more than either had planned.
They had fallen in love, ironically. Together, they fought the man that had killed Hayate's friend, and they discovered the truth about Echo's origin. She was the dream self of Hayate's friend, once trapped as a fragment to roam the Dreamscape for eternity until Hayate had pulled her into his world. With these revelations, and the defeat of the murderer, the two of them began to search for answers with each other. They opened up their own detective agency that took on various cases regardless of what they might entail. Echo was the muscle, and Hayate was the brains behind their small business. For a decade the two of them lived like this, living a rather happy, mundane life. Their work provided enough to have a rather comfy life, and they shared the apartment that Hayate had accidentally dragged her into when the two of them first me. Often, Hayate finds himself musing what it would have been like had he not been so daft as to cause a series of avalanches with those bookshelves.
Recently, however, trouble has been stirred up quite a bit with an event known as "The Moment." Another world was apparently integrated into their own, destroying masses of land, appearing in the sky, and sometimes even appearing inside of cities. This caused all sorts of havoc throughout the world as a large amount of people suddenly began existing all at once on their world. These "Terrans" were quickly found to be frightening beings of extraordinary strength, and they even had the ability to use magic. It was all so surreal and felt more like the Dreamscape than reality. Over the last few months, however, Hayate has slowly become accustomed to seeing the occasional elf walking down the streets or running into a comical scene of the police trying to deal with a stray monster. It was only made all the better by the fact that these "Terrans" had quite a bit of difficulty trying to learn how the technology of the modern world worked. Unfortunately, Hayate's personal work has led him to discover the existence of a terrorist group bent on tearing down relations between the "Terrans" and the original inhabitants of his world. He and Echo have been trying to find out as much as they can about them... and he has recently had a feeling they might come to know how much of a threat these people are.
Outfits: ❖ He usually wears some form of suit despite the fact that he hates wearing them. He needs to look professional. And he usually has long coat on. ❖ Sometimes he can be caught wearing casual clothes, such as standard pants or a hoodie.
Items: ❖ He has a wooden tanto that Echo replaced for him. He cherishes it. ❖ He has a music player he listens to when working out a problem.
Other: ❖ Whenever he sleeps he does not dream. ❖ He does not need to sleep.
Relationships: ❖ Hayate Yamachi: Significant Other | Professional Partner
Strengths: ✔ Martial Arts: Ever since her "beginning", Echo had been needed to fight. It's a skill of which she refuses to let go. In fact, she's honed her brawling into a more refined use of hand-to-hand by training in mixed martial arts. ✔ Interrogation: Knowing which buttons to press to force someone to spill information is something the woman's quite good at. This used to be significantly easier, but her skills are still impressive. ✔ Patience: It's a virtue. ✔ Perception: Echo is quite the attentive person, never wanting to miss a detail. She's able to pick out things others may simply miss due to distractions. ✔ Agility: As someone with a medium frame only a step from small, most of her opponents are bigger than her. It's safer to rely on speed and maneuverability rather than strength, though she doesn't lack in this department. ✔ Appreciation: Given her origins, Echo is very...grateful to be in this world no matter how it changes. She also believes that everyone deserves the chance to feel the same, though it isn't her fault if anyone squanders that chance.
Weaknesses: ✘ Charisma: Echo's never been great at expressing herself. Keep in mind, she's gotten much, much better. Gathering and giving info are two different things. ✘ Sense of "Self": After all this time and what she's been through, the woman feels much more "real", much more worthy of existing. For the most part, she just does, but if one's capable of catching her in a bad mood, be prepared for comments like "I'm just a ghost." ✘ Suspicious: Her younger self had been manipulated one too many times for Echo to simply be open and accepting of what everyone says. It's difficult for her now to trust people right off. ✘ Pastries: Wanna bribe her into doing something she doesn't want to? ✘ Perfectionist: As a way of proving herself, Echo sets very high standards... though they really only pertain to her success. If something small goes wrong on her end, it's very easily for her to become frustrated.
Likes: ✔ Hayate: Obviously ✔ Exercise: It doesn't matter what kind, though she most enjoys training and, well, dancing has its own sort of health benefits, though she pales in comparison to her partner. ✔ Soda: Sweet or sour, bubbles are fun. ✔ Baked Goods: Cookies, brownies, tarts, pie, cake, especially cake. She's not a glutton, of course. Everything is good in moderation. That makes it all the more cherished. ✔ Reading: Books hold a special place in Echo's heart. ✔ Quiet: The more the better. ✔ Organization: How can things go well if there is a sense of chaos? ✔ Foliage and Forests: She finds living greenery beautiful. ✔ Crowds: Being surrounded by so many different people is an interesting experience. Go to a busy street on the same day at the same time and the people are always different. This has been made especially interesting by the introduction of the otherworlders. ✔ Routine: If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
Dislikes: ✘ Messes: Any kind. ✘ Explosions: They're the messiest kind of attack. ✘ People with Ill Intent: What's the point of living if it means harming others? ✘ Indecency: Didn't your mother teach you any better? ✘ Waking Up Early: Sleep, despite her not needing it, is something Echo can appreciate. ✘ Mushrooms: Everything about it. Taste, consistency, they're horrendous. ✘ Mochi: The one sweet thing she doesn't enjoy. It's so soft and pure... killing such a thing by eating it must be some kind of crime. ✘ Being Troublesome: She'd rather be an asset than a hindrance.
Personality: ❖ Emoting was never something Echo was good at. That's gradually changed since meeting Hayate, but that doesn't say a lot given that she's only really comfortable expressing herself around him. For the most part, the woman is quiet and keeps to herself. People usually find her cold or off-putting, though that isn't the case. It's just how Echo is. She's a listener, not a talker. When she must speak up, however, it's usually in a cool and polite tone unless the mood requires otherwise. Few things can really get on her bad side for words are more a means to an end. Just...don't go bad-mouthing literature or her favorite cafe. It should be fine... She also has no tolerance for unnecessary mess. What really earns her ire, however, is needless destruction. Harming others, their livelihood, or civilization in general without reason or concern is a level of unjust she cannot understand. Her frustration can range in consequence, but unless there are ill intentions or a toppled over bookcase, be prepared for some annoyed chastising or silent seething. While quiet, Echo is extremely inquisitive and can sometimes bite off more than she can chew to get answers or information. Luckily, if caught into rough in a situation, her training can help her force her way out.
If Hayate is the brains of their little operation, Echo is most assuredly the brawn. In a fight, she's one to wait for openings or exploit weaknesses, anything to take down her opponent, non-lethally, of course. She's not a fan of using weapons or going up against them, being the first to let anyone know that a knife can be scarier than a gun. Her true talents here are very similar to her questioning methods: disarm the enemy, get them off-balance, and take them down. Many problems in life can be focused in on in such a way. That is, however, as long as she has the power to address said problems.
If there is anything Echo doesn't like, it's becoming a problem for someone else. She'd rather be helpful than deterring and does her best to keep things that way. Nothing is more troublesome for her than becoming trouble for another person. Because of this, the woman is very independent and will do her best to remedy a situation on her own if she can, especially if the problem is her own. Don't misunderstand. She's not so stubborn as to not call for help when she needs it. Her experiences have shown her the value of having allies. Still, she'd prefer to keep things nice and clean. This is even more frustrating for Echo if she ends up being a hindrance or worry for Hayate.
The man is like a light to her, a sort of beacon that keeps her feet on the ground despite his often nature of his head being in the clouds. Around him, most cynical thoughts don't even have the chance to exist and it's much easier for Echo to express herself. Despite his often denial of logic for the sake of fixing things, the woman is the first to support him. It's easy to think anything's possible when he gets serious, inspiring hope beyond measure. The difference between her personality with him around can surprise anyone who may have met her before. After all, Hayate was the one that gave her a second chance at life.
History: ❖ Much of Echo's past is still... static. Only the strongest memories returned after she'd found out what exactly had happened to her. There are flashes: her flashes, herself, people she was close to... The freshest memories are the only ones that really lasted, her last two years alive. They were really only pieces of highschool, however. Classes, track and field, birthdays, a couple family outings, friends, things like that. The best were hanging out with a close friend of hers, both in person and in her dreams... Until- more static. She couldn't feel the sensation of her own death. Despite having seen the whole thing with her own eyes through the memories of someone else, her killer, it wasn't something that ever came back to her. If Echo were honest, it wasn't an event she wanted to recall. That was the day what remains of her was left behind.
Echo woke up in the center of a place called the Dreamscape, a plane where the collected subconsciouses of sleeping people could interact with one another. Lost, without memories and without purpose, the girl wandered this place searching for some kind of answers. All the while, others came and went. It was hard to keep track of the days... During this time, Echo became aware of the one ability gifted to her upon waking: the ability to see the memories of others via skin contact. It must have been some kind of sick joke. Having access to every memory, being able to watch, manipulate, wipe any seen from the mind of someone else while being barred from her own. The reality of it was some kind of unfairness she couldn't begin to describe. It was...helpful, though. Using this, Echo got many of the answers for which she'd been looking: where she was, what everyone else was. She eventually made her own conclusions about her situation, though it was one she'd already made before this...
Lonely and at a bigger loss than ever, Echo took solace in visiting the library. The place had access to every book that had ever been published. Reading about epic adventures, secrets of the past, and secrets of the present, the young woman came across an ancient relic that sparked a small bit of hope in her. It was that spark that allowed her to be manipulated by the Knightmares, a group who sought to send everyone's minds to the Dreamscape. A world full of people sounded wonderful to Echo, so she helped them... Every once in a while, the woman will wonder how many souls were lost due to her exposing their enemies. One in particular had always evaded her searches somehow. Who knew he'd stumble right into her beloved library?
Phaser, without knowing a lick of what he was doing, used his ridiculous abilities to breathe a new form of existence into her. Having her metaphysical form into the physical world succeeded in several things. The first was confirm her hypothesis... she was something different than everyone else, less than human. Or at least, that had been the case. The second was force her to reconsider her motivation for being a part of the Knightmares. In an instant, she'd been brought into the world of which she had been so jealous. Echo probably didn't belong here, she knew that, but there was an easier solution to her crippling loneliness than initially thought! The third, and most namely, it confused the hell out of her. Curious about the state of things, her partnership with him began as begrudging acceptance. The more they worked together, the more information they found out, this grew as secrets were uncovered and brought to light.
She and Phaser, or rather, Hayate, had been friends before her death became a part of a tragic strain of mysterious murders from within the Dreamscape, all having been part of the Knightmares' plans. Her existence was simply a one in a million chance side effect. Working together and fighting alongside Hayate, they'd grown closer than either of them could have planned for. After relentless searching in both worlds, hers and his, the two of uncovered her origins, defeated her murderer and by proxy, stopped the final plans of the organization trying to disrupt the physical world. This also seemed to have the effect of barring entrance into the Dreamscape... After that, it was just her and the guy she'd ended up falling for. For the last ten years, they've been working together., opening up a private investigative agency and taking on most whatever cases were brought to them. It's been a happy little existence for the two of them given their pasts. Everything had been pretty normal for all that time.
Recently, the strange has returned to greet them with the merging of their world and one by the name of Terra, a place inhabited by things once only possible in the Dreamscape. The transition wasn't seamless. Who could've been prepared for great changing of landmasses, the appearance of floating landmasses and creatures that up until now were though to be fantasy? It brought about a ton of new work for Hayate and her, even leading them to the discovery of an underground terrorist group who plan to keep the distance between the Terrans and the humans of Earth... The two of them are trying to find out as much as they can about this group, but they may prove to be more trouble than initially expected.
Outfits: ❖ Wanting to retain some semblance of professionalism, Echo normally wears straight-cut clothing in some equation of white and black: buttoned shirts, pencil skirts, boot cut jeans, or slacks, a blazer every once in a while. One can always count on, however, the addition of a leather jacket on top of that. ❖ On a day off or around the house, Echo will wear something a bit...softer than her usual choices: loose-fitting chemises, a sundress, or flowing skirt in pastel colors are pieces she enjoys. Something along these lines will usually be her go-to for a date night.
Items: ❖ A book: Doesn't matter what she's doing, she's always got either a new release or a really obscure title on her. ❖ Cellphone ❖ Pocket Knife: For utility. ❖ Earbuds
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○YAAAAS! THE SEAM IS FLAWLESS! The answer to all my problems in RWBY was pngs! Ah, what a wonderful thing for me to find out after all this time. Unfortunate that it took this long, but I'm legitimately happy they're looking good meow. Sigh, if I Ren were here... Anyway! Let's start coding! Geez, these circles are not working. Well, I like them, but they're not the right size...so smol. Every time I blast the size up a notch, they still look tiny. Let's try eighteen. Alright, it's a lot better meow, and the slate blue isn't bad, but let's check out how it looks with her speech color: medium orchid. "So you just need me to say something?" Yeah, yeah. Pour your heart, baby! "I'd rather not." Fair enough. It isn't in your character to do such a thing, is it? Huh, I am not digging it as much as I wanted to...
Welp, your thought text will be simple enough. We've been going with grey italics, so that's easy. No point in breaking the standard for me. Yes! Well, no, but- you know what I mean! Anyway, let's try dark violet for your speech. It looks like that has more "popping" potential. Yes! Alright! That's awesome. Okay, now it's just quote time. *yawns* Oh boy, I'm getting a little tired.

Alright, so everything looks good for the most part. The only thing I see is that his abilities need to be ranked before I can get a good grip on them^w^

I've edited and added ranks, im not sure if they're accurate for how powerful they are, but i've made estimated guesses xD

Personality: ❖ A boy without many strong opinions on Social topics and pop culture, so he is open to the many opinions of interests. The open mind of this young man, allows him to interact with most anyone, holding wisdom from his viewpoints of all angles, and doesn't seem to have hostility behind his thoughts and words. Though he is graced with a flexible personality , he is also seen as a man of fewer words when it comes to masses and authority figures, that doesn't leave much room for groups of people outside of his circle to interact with, making him known as the boy with the ebon hair, instead of a true name to those around him. His face holds content, for most events, keeping a calm look even in some of the most intense situations, and though he seems to have a stoic outlook, friends and companions are some of his most cherished gifts. History: ❖ As a young lad growing up on the country side, he felt indebted to his aunt and uncle, taking him in when his parents went abroad. They were a modest and kinder bunch with no child of their own. Seeing them as his parental figures, he'd help with choirs and manage their diner which was one of the hotspots in his hometown. The young man wasn't consumed with alot of negativity from his side job and track running in his middle school career. The young man enjoyed his simple existence, before the loan sharks came. As the city became more modernized, the diner became a lesser tourist spot, for cheaper delights. It was stopping the flow of money, but the two wouldn't tell Kyosuke. It wasn't his problem, it was an adult issue. It made the young man's heart ache watching the rest of his year pass, while his family suffered at the hands of the Loan sharks. Each time they visited, a piece of their life was altered, until it got to the point, where the young man's own school life was effected. He was told that he was not able to continue on the sports team due to the loan shark's connections, and the business was surely going to fall. In this light, the couple who had raised the young man had thought of sending him to his parents, though it was only a matter of time before the two would be effected as well, and without a choice, he was sent off to attend the school far off from home.
Through out his years as a student, he would often think back on his family, and slowly integrate into a more reserved person. He stopped playing sports and his grades fell a bit before he finished up secondary school and he returned home to the foreclosed diner. His heart broken and his sorrows welled up, he set a goal for himself to show good faith and determination to anyone in need. His now noble goal created a very versatile set of skills as he now works around Japan, trying to uplift people's spirits and help whoever is in need around him.
Username: thirtyspacechickens-go Name: Hiyama Fujiko ( 緋山 藤子 "scarlet mountain," "wisteria" ) Nickname: Fuu ( 風 "wind" ), to those who know her "Chinmoku no shi" ( 沈黙の死 -Death of Silence), "The Silent Death" Race: Divine Heritage, "Old Soul" Ethnicity: Japanese/Dutch (Yuki no Okoku) Gender: Female Orientation: Pansexual Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Affinity: Earth Age: 22 Birthday: October 3rd Height: 5'9'' Weapon: A Katana with a steel and leather guard. The blade is approximately 20" in length with its hilt making the entire sword 27". She forged the sword herself. The metal making up the blade is made of one of the hardest in the land, gifted to her by her previous mage, Nao. The large guard she has is detachable from the hilt for maintenance and ease. It is made from leather and the leftover metals from her katana. Additionally, she has three tanto blades: [1] / [2]. She also forged these, but she did so after the left Nao, so they aren't nearly as strong as her katana. Each represents a past life she has lived and subsequently remembered. These are kept ready to use in special holsters that stay fastened to her back. There is also a place that holds her sword on this holster. It is designed so she can unsheathe the blades with one hand. Mage: None Currently
Natural Abilities: ❖ Past Lives(E+): Being an Old Soul, Fujiko has the ability to see memories from her past lives. She cannot control when this happens and is directly affected by her unlocked memories. For example, the scars on her left forearm appeared after memories of her chained imprisonment came through. The benefits of this ability lie in taking away knowledge from the memories, learning about ancient cultures, gaining positive memories and boosting her emotions, or as a warning system via evolutionary fear. It seems to be triggered by near-death experiences, heavy dream states, head injuries, or traumatic experiences. Though, memories also come at random times and aren't always relevant, but when triggered by an intense/high emotion situation, they usually are relevant. She has been able to communicate with a past life once and it was brief. This was when she was unconscious for two weeks. In her dream, it only felt like two minutes. ❖ Underfoot(C): Fuu, to put it simply, can tap into the ground beneath her for a multitude of reasons. She can heal herself, but this has to be done during a sleep cycle and most of her body has to be touching the ground. She can sense movement within a fifty meter radius, but she herself cannot be moving while doing this. Just as well, she can only tell how many people there are, not what weapons they may be carrying or what kind of abilities they have. ❖ Can't Hear(B-): Being light on your feet is an undeniably important trait for a swordsman; this ability helps Fuu make herself all the more silent. She can only silence the area around her in a matter of five inches, so this is usually done to make her footsteps silent as she moves. This is what helped her gain her nickname, because while she can't use this ability with her katana, she can with her smallest tanto. Even those trained to hear the air moving around them cannot hear her blade coming for them. Hence, "The Silent Death." With such a short range, she has to get incredibly close to her opponents, and of course this doesn't affect their sight, so she can easily be caught. A little more comically, she uses this to silence the bells tied to the hilt of her katana. If asked "why don't you just take them off?" she simply replies, "why do you care?" ❖ Berserker(C): A rather basic muscle-enhancing/adrenaline-based ability. In moments of great duress, like during intense fights, she can force her physical feelings to halt and block pain. This helps her to keep pushing so she can continue fighting, even if her body wants to give up. Its almost like a second wind. This also greatly boosts the swing of her sword and strength behind her hits. She's been able to slice clean through both the thighs of a man twice her size by utilizing this ability. The problem comes when the fight is over. She doesn't use this ability often because of the toll it can take on her body. As the adrenaline wears off, all of her pains and muscle aches hit her at once and she usually has to sleep, eat, and/or rest afterwards. Basically, she's unable to go all out in a fight again. Can only be used once within an eight hour range.
Magus Abilities: Previous Mage- Naotsune Jin ❖ Dissection(B-): She becomes temporarily ambidextrous. Her precision is also enhanced and slices to critical places are more likely. ❖ Quieter, Now(A): "Can't Hear" ability's range is enhanced two to eight feet in diameter; length depends on her connection with her mage. Current Mage- None Currently ❖ Name Here(x):
Unison Abilities: Previous Mage- Naotsune Jin ❖ Pain Split(A): Nao's type of magic allowed Fujiko to transfer and share her pain with an opponent. This also includes emotional pain. Current Mage- None Currently ❖ Name Here(x):
Strengths: ✔ Observant: Her mind is as trained as her eyes, combined with sharp reflexes, so she's trained to look. She is almost always painfully aware of her surroundings. ✔ Resolute: Fuu refuses to stop until her goal is met. Even if she's knocked unconscious and moved across the world. You'll have to kill her before she ever gives up. ✔ Independent: She's lived on her own, aside from three years, since she was thirteen. Fujiko learned very well and very quickly how to create a free life for herself. ✔ Masterful: Instead of learning the surface level of many things, she prefers to completely master something before moving on. It just so happens she likes blades.
Weaknesses: ✘ Damaged: Between her family and her lineage, Fujiko has had her fair share of... impactful experiences. Because of it, she doesn't trust easily, and she keeps locked. ✘ Unmotivated: She doesn't have a distinct goal in life as of now. She's just roaming, helping when she feels like it to make extra money. She travels like a soft breeze. ✘ Spiteful: Growing up, this has settled some, but she's sure if she ever saw Nao again, she would try to kill him. Her sense of justice is rather one-sided and personal. ✘ Capricious: Even without the waves of memories causing drastic mood shifts, Fujiko is rather fickle. When it comes to her own desires, though, her resolve is strong.
Likes: ✔ Solitude ✔ Pot roasts, rice ✔ Being in nature ✔ Genuine laughter ✔ Cold weather
Dislikes: ✘ Being touched ✘ Dishonesty ✘ Intense emotions ✘ Serious discussions ✘ Political leaders
❖ Fujiko has always been headstrong and determined, no one would be able to refute that. Though her natural voice is quiet, her internal voice is strong, as are her actions. She would much rather keep her mouth shut and physically fight for herself than use words. Her pride stems from staying alive for so long, but even though its well place, she still comes across as vain. Her hesitation to speak with people or make friends makes her seem egotistical, when in reality she just doesn't feel comfortable with normal socializing. She generally comes across as a depressed presence. Yet, she doesn't see out the comfort of others. She doesn't trust others. Fuu has grown accustomed to being alone, sleeping under trees, and working to survive. It was the easiest her life had ever been, after all. It was simple. She craved a simple life. Unapproachable, snide, and off-putting, Fujiko puts up that very front to stave people off. When someone is able to get underneath her shell, she is at her most protective and caring. Her softer side is a rare sight, but it exists, and she doesn't like showing it. She blushes easily, loses her words, and gets defensive. It does warm her up to have something to fight for, though.
History: ❖ There is a legend that surrounds the Hiyama family, one that is only told through word of mouth even to this day. Descendants from angels exist, this is known, but one family is blessed to give birth to a different kind of divine being: an Old Soul. This happens every 30th generation in the Hiyama family. It has been this way "since the beginning of our family history, and there are writings to prove it." Fujiko was the fortunate receiver of this gift and the subsequent studies it required. Old Souls held a special ability to gain memories from and connect with their past lives. It was rare to communicate with one's past life, but their family had documents recording its occurrence. With all the journals and books and scrolls, there was never a way that said how to make the memories come, though. Nothing. There was plenty laid out about the negative repercussions, though, and the more she learned, the less she liked. Learning about one's past lives sounds inviting, but Fuu would never describe this as a gift or a blessing. As a child, her dreams were plagued with memories not her own. Ones that she forgot when she woke up, but were squirming in the back of her mind begging to be heard. Being unable to control her birthright, unable to access the memories her own brain held, was like torture.
❖ Besides the legacy bestowed upon her, Fujiko tried to live a normal life. She grew up with her mother and father in one of the smaller Yuko no Okoku settlements. Her father, Goichi, was an Aasimar that was born to the Hiyama family in that very same village. He was a very skilled mage. Her mother, Eva, was from a different place, foreign to their village and looked upon as such. She was an earth nymph that fell in love during an exploration of the world. They were wed and had a child: Fujiko. She was trained to fight in the various styles of her ancestors and in the art of sword play, brought up with the ability to defend herself. Her father held a large influence over the people of their village and the surrounding ones, much to the dismay of his village's Patriarch and counsel. When she was ten, she woke up one morning to her mother in tears, and her father gone. He ran away with no word of goodbye. Fuu wouldn't know why he did this until later in her life, but it was because of a threat against their family, out of fear for his power. When she was thirteen, her father returned and was unable to stay away from his family any longer. The Patriarchs found out and captured Goichi with intent to torture him. As a foreigner, they put her mother to death as her father's punishment. It all happened so suddenly, and all she could imagine was the next Old Soul having to experience this pain.
❖ Fuu tried to intervene with the execution, but her father escaped his confinement and stopped her before she could reach the site. He convinced her to run away, shoving a sack of supplies into her hands and yelling at her to live. He was saying that he would save Eva, but he would never live up to that promise. Fujiko ran up the neighboring mountain, sandals grinding into the snow, just like the way her teeth wore together as she looked down to the town. Her mother's lifeless body was in the town center. A completely different symbol to the leaders and to the townspeople. Fuu turned and never looked back, running even when her throat burned and tears froze to her face. Her mother was a martyr and an example, depending on your perspective. Her father was a coward. What would she grow up to be?
❖ For the year after that, Fujiko roamed between villages, mostly sticking to the woods but preying on the kindness of others when she had too. It wasn't ideal, but it was how she survived. When she was fourteen, she met Naotsune Jin, her future mentor and first mage. Young, naive, and looking for somewhere to fit in, Fuu fell in love with Nao and his free lifestyle. He was simple and happy with his loneliness, just like she craved to be. She formed her first pact as a knight when she was a juvenile, under the guise of this being his first pact as well. That was the first of many lies Nao would feed the old soul. During her entire time with him, she never received any memories. None. It was like her mind wanted to keep that stress away from her. She was thankful, but she was also sad to admit that she felt incomplete without them. They trained together and he taught her many things, including coercion and manipulation. Their mana-produced and unionized powers were an example of their atomic relationship. Fuu was just utterly blinded by wanting to be. After six months together alone, they returned to his home in Yamasato, and to his harem of knights that were also caught in his web of false affections. This lasted three years. Three years of being wrongfully in love with a corrupted mage, using knights as stand-ins for death. One day, Nao made a mistake. He tried to kill Fujiko himself. He wanted her to break their pact, and he tried to convince her by grabbing her throat and urging her breath to stop. She broke his arm and nose. She broke her own heart. She severed their pact right then and left to be alone in life again. So, was she a runner?
❖ Fujiko was seventeen, then, and she worked to find a new purpose. Being a knight had done her no good, she was so easily coerced, just like she was so easily coerced to run away from her mother's execution. That thought delivered her goal: find her father. She would find Goichi. She spent the next three years trying to find her father, to no avail. He was an enigma. Then one day, in small town comparable to her hometown, someone claimed they actually saw him. He was at a park. Everyday, he was there. Fujiko went there immediately and saw him. He was sitting alone in the rain, uncaring of the downpour being dumped on his shoulders. She felt the same way. Being as quiet as she could be, she snuck up behind her father, sliding her tanto's blade to his throat. She asked him why. Why did he make her leave? Why didn't he try harder? So many questions fell from her for what felt like an eternity, but he never answered any of them. He just sat there in silence. If his shoulders weren't quivering every few seconds, she would have thought he was already dead. After a moment of silence, Goichi lifted his face towards the sky, and Fuu steeled herself. Swiftly, she slid her blade outward and achieved her goal: avenger her mother's death. Her father's body fell limp as Fujiko ran away, escaping as silently as when she had arrived. She left a note, simply saying "he deserved a silent death," which is where her alias "The Silent Death" comes from.
❖ A memory came back that night. Her first one in years. In this past life, she was a young boy laughing with his father, learning how to properly ride a horse. It came as she sat in a deeper part of the forest, under the same rain she and her father just shared. She sobbed until her throat was raw and her chest was sore. She felt lost, like she didn't have anything to speak for. As she continued growing up, Fuu roamed Yuki no Okoku and parts of Carmillion, searching for a purpose in life. She hasn't entered into a new Knighthood since she was seventeen years old. The freedom was something she cherished, but it was heart wrenchingly lonely. There were a few people she met on her journeys. One that she could even consider friends, but she left them eventually. When The Moment happened, Fuu had been back in her hometown, visiting the final resting place of her mother. It was a like a sign that she needed to change her life once again. She needed to find a new goal. She continued to keep to herself and let the panic die down. She begam exploring the newly integrated world after about a month of waiting, incredibly weary of the tech and inhabitants. There were mixed emotions when it came to those from "Earth." Some embraced the apparent advancements and possible cooperation. Others feared war and conquering was all that would come. Fujiko was on the fence regarding the matter, so she vowed to at least learn all that she could. Recently, she's been thinking that that might be easier with a Mage, or at least someone that could make more sense of this new world than she could.

Other: ❖ Memories of First Past LifeTanto: [Itami 痛み] Associated Feelings: sorrow, pain, fear. Recovery Time: one to two days at most. Fuu has the most memories of this life, sixteen clear ones. A woman, a slave, that was moved across multiple borders with no regard for her health or well-being. She was used like a sort of mule alongside three others. Moving supplies, setting up camp every night, tearing it down every morning, cooking. Anything they needed, was provided, including pleasure of flesh. The strongest memory that sticks with her is being tied up and whipped for stealing food, left for dead as her captors stalked off, throwing her away just as easily as they took her. These memories urged her to learn self defense, a fear of being kidnapped stuck firmly in the back of her mind. She is also hesitant to be physically close with anyone because of this.
❖ Memories of Second Past LifeTanto: [Ai 愛] Associated Feelings: warmth, joy, love. Recovery Time: none, generally peaceful after these memories. In this life, she had her soul mate at her side, being so blessed as to have grown up with together. They were both women, and they carried each other through life. They hailed from a the countryside, away from the horrors of war or plague, and spent all their time with each other. All of Fuu's remembered memories of this life are with this other person. She died before her soul mate, though, and hasn't found them in any other life. Fujiko is in her best moods when these memories pass on to her. She has eight strong impressions from this life.
❖ Memories of Third Past LifeTanto: [Yami 闇] Associated Feelings: horror, panic, anxiety. Recovery Time: up to four days sometimes. Fuu has only one single memory from this life, and she's seen it three separate times. The first time it passed through her mind, it left her debilitated for two week. She wouldn't speak or leave her room. The next two times she saw it, she took less time to recuperate, four days total. She doesn't know who she is in this past life, or what exactly happened, but she knows for a fact she was murdered ruthlessly. It strikes fear into her heart, and she rarely goes out alone at night because of this.
❖ Memories of Fourth Past LifeTanto: [None] Associated Feelings: longing, envy, mixed emotions. Recovery Time: a few hours at most, if any time at all. This is the newest past life that has presented its memories to Fuu. She is a young boy in an unfamiliar place. He has family, a father and a mother who dance and play with him, smother him with love and affection, and nourish him with complete care. The only memories she has gotten are two, both as a child. When she first ran away from Nao, she received a flash of the first memory, father twirling son around in the air, laughter the only audible thing. The second was the entire family together, seemingly worshiping a pine tree like Pagans. Whatever they were doing, they were all together, and they were all smiling.
