Popping in for a moment as I am very ticked at my husband for the moment. Logan's bday is the 31st, but we're having a party on the 1st. We let him open some presents all ready, he loves tearing each patch of paper off!
I've been doing so much today. Massive cleaning, preparations for the party and he's been of no help. I asked him to get Logan ready for bed. He asks me to brush his teeth, that's what entangles getting him ready for bed.
So, we hid Logan's blankie and gave him the new Spiderman one my sister made. He did not need to be staying up till 1 AM when we have a lot to do tomorrow. So, since he's been spoiling him by letting him go to bed, against my wishes, I told HIM to put him to bed tonight. It was making me so mad to hear Logan bawl his heart out and my husband not even blinking an eye. Yes, he's not a baby anymore, but 15 minutes of hard wailing at midnight is way too much. I told him THIS is what happens. He shrugged it off and said he can't cry all night and he needs to get over it.
scream He created the problem!! *sigh* I do know I'm guilty too, but it's just bugging me that he is really good at undermining the guidelines I like to set down, like NO sweets if he eats no dinner.
So, a massive rant as I pop in. Thanks for the well wishes for Logan and I hope everyone's doing okay. I can't wait to be back full time on here again!

It is always hard on a child when a change occures in their lives, and I'm sure he has picked up on the vibe that something different is going on, ie his bithday, even if he doesn't fully understand the concept of it yet. Yes he needs to learn to sleep by himself in his bed, but since this is the first time in a while, it would of been better if your husband would of sat in there and read him a story or two, just being there for him. My rule of thumb is after 5 minutes of hard crying, check on the child, retuck them in, kiss them goodnight and then leave again. Probably to start with .. to get him used to his own bed, your husband should of layed down with logan till logan fell asleep. Then you need to do this less and less each night as he gets used to sleeping in there on his own. I wish you the best of luck

I didn't realize there were so many fellow Floridians in here! Personally, I think it is way too hot here in the summer. If you think the weather is nice though....more power to you! My negative take on it is related I'm sure to the fact the a/c went out in both of our cars. sweatdrop and we're too poor to fix it. sad

I am way south , almost at the end of FLorida

Yay, teen agers arguing that drugs aren't that bad. Thats why all my friends in highschool couldn't keep a job. I had a friend who was burnt stupid. One of them is trying to say that weed is better for you than any medication a shrink would give you.
I hate people who try to say drugs aren't bad when there is so much evidence of how bad it right in front of them! xd
They're flaming any one who says that drugs are bad for you. stressed

which is the worst anti drug commercial? We apparently persecute against stoners and people who do drugs. So, we're obviously close minded and we should be ashamed of ourselves. stare Yeah and all of my friends who started doing drugs casually and fell of the deep end eventually was a figment of my immagination. I wish Donny had never started dating Jessica. She got him into drugs and he fell hard. crying
