The average built dragonet's head sapped as she heard the voice of her blue clutchmate, a happy color filled the dragonet's eyes and she dipped her head, < Aha, Balkath! This is Mine, Kalendol. Tell Yours a pleasure it is. Does she have juicy secrets to tell?> The little creature bumped against Kalendol's legs as she spoke to her brother, and to her rider in the same flowing thought. ' They're coming to say hello?' The girl asked her dragonet who huffed softly in agreement. " Hello, Shalev. And a warm hello to yours as well." Kalendol grinned a little nervously. Goodness, she was getting sick of all these people. But, when someone wanted a conversation, one did not push them aside. Meanwhile, the little green had kept on rambling, < Naturally she shall have secrets, no one is perfect, everybody's secrets are hidden away but I can find them with a small push. I certainly found that boy--> A gentle prod from her rider made the dragon jump and glare up at the girl. Kynigoth sighed heavily and then turned back to Balkath, < Thank you for speaking to Mine, she was lonesome.> The invasive dragon shook her head carefully as she spoke.

Vosin and Gold Killakeeth
The teen was pleased and relieved when her brother went to get his sketch book. She liked his drawings.
Killakeeth leveled a gaze at Langoneth for his reaction, but tolerated it with a twitch of her tail tip. He had clearly gotten up on the wrong side of the egg tonight. She did give a croon to Atibonth as he returned her greeting. I am glad to see you are well. The gold noted the blue's rider cutting meat and glanced impatiently at the drudge. Perhaps I should have Yours get the meat for Mine to feed me. This drudge is slow and lazy. She flicked her wings impatiently.
She confirmed Xibath's comment to Esre. I shall never turn down extra pampering. Killa watched as Vesin cut meat for her dragon, but said nothing.
Vos grinned at Jikkiri. "Hey. I'm not at the healers, so ok if a bit surprised." She cast a respectful glance toward those who needed the healers. It had been a fairly bloody clutch with some sweet ones thrown in. Vos grinned at her twin as she petted the young dragon's headknobs. It seemed to take forever before the bucket was full enough. She accepted it from the drudge with a nod and worked quickly to cut several chunks and gets some food into her belly.
A dragon. She had a dragon. It almost felt like it wasn't real. Vos fed the smaller pieces one at a time, making sure they were chewed instead of bolted. "You waited this long, you might as well taste them good."
It wasn't hard to make her savor the fresh meat. Killa swallowed carefully before opening her mouth and demanding more. Now that she was here, she was going to eat as much as she could possibly hold.
She cracked a grin as the boy realized they were twins. "Right-o! Hard to tell isn't it? Really?! How cool is that? It's nice to meet you Jikkiri and Langoneth. Do you mind if I call you Jikki too? Vosin and Killakeeth." She was pleased to see the boy had gotten his plomp back after impressing. He'd looked rather dazed coming back to the sands.
Glancing around a pair caught her attention. A quick inquiry showed her rider knew the other. Is all well Kynigoth? Killakeeth asked the green mildly. Mine will speak to Yours if you wish.

The dragonet was torn from her blue clutchmate by the insurmountable voice within her mind at this moment. The future queen. Turning towards Killakeeth the green smiled inwardly, < Hello, Killakeeth. So very happy to see you, Yours may talk to Mine if she wishes, though, she seems busy with others. Balkath and His seem to be stimulating her somewhat. Has Yours any secrets?> Obsessed, that was the word. This dragonet was obsessed with exploiting secrets of numerous people and revealing them. One would be best to give her some tidbit to halt her perverse cycle of requesting secrets. The invasive green was by far willing to go to the ends to meet her curiosity. ' Kynigoth, play nice.' Kalendol warned as she looked over to the much larger Gold and Her Vosin. Vosin had been one of the first people to speak to Kalendol after she arrived. It made sense that the leader-like woman would Impress to the flirty Gold. ' It's impolite to ask for people's secrets.' The girl chided lightly.

Malta and PoecilethSweet Malta thought, smiling at Kylerr as she provided Fadrin with the painkilling dose. “Be careful when you eat. Sometimes this can make you nauseous, but it's a diluted dose, so... you should be fine. Just eat slowly, when you get around to it.” she smiled, “If the pain gets bad, come to the infirmary and I'll give you another dose...” or send your lover she didn't say. It was nice that he had someone looking after him. She turned to Kylerr, or whatever he would chose to elide his name to, if he chose to do so at all. Malta herself was not attached to tradition one way or another, but she was glad that she hadn't had to change her name... she liked her name. She had no idea what she would have elided to, anyway: M'ta? M'al, Ma'ta? Mal'ta was basically her name anyway, with a jump in the middle. Her musings were giddy. Lack of sleep and the aftermath of the hatching was making her feel warm and fuzzy. Poecileth's vigilance, however, kept her on her game as she waited patiently for an oppurtunity to tend to his arm. “Was she the dragon that sang?” Malta asked. She'd lost track herself. Hatchlings were so chaotic and, even with her dragon's help, it was a lot to keep up with!

Jikkiri and LagonethJikkiri laughed as the gold dragonet put it away. “Looks like you're going to need another bucket or five!” he said, grinning, “Just like Langoneth! He's had a whole table already, and here I am, with a big ol' bucket.” He was still bothered about the dead boy, sure... but his Langoneth was his and it was hard to be upset when he was so full of love. “Oh yes!” he said, “Really hard to tell! But you know, seeing you together” he winked, clearly joking, “I can just tell!” growled Langoneth privately. “Sure!” said Jikkiri, “Call me whatever you like, Vosin... Killakeeth” he gave the Gold dragonet a little mock bow. He glanced over at Langoneth. The beast waited, impatient, it's great ears pricked, it's tail stiff. It waited. It wanted him back.Jikkri smiled warmly, closing his eyes and savoring the image for a moment. “I'd better go... but it was great to meet you and your sister... hey, do me a favor?” he gestured at Jamarin for a moment, “Could one of you talk to my brother? I think he needs to chat. He'll be growly and frowny...” he grinned, a little bit of good-hearted mischievousness shining through. “But...” his voice lowered conspirationally, “He secretly would like it.” That done, he made his way over to his dragon with the meat. Langoneth nosed him, his eyes flickering from red to yellow to a brief green before settling on a swirling green-orange. he rumbled, as Jikkiri cut the meat into bite sized portions. “Of course I am, my love.” he said, rubbing the large brown along the neck ridge as he chomped at the meat. “I was talking to the nice people.” said Jikkiri, “And getting you your meat.” The brown stared at him for a moment, pausing to look at him with it's feral eyes. he was quiet for a moment, recharging after the volume of words he had just put out, before returning to his eating. “I do. You're special, though. I know you are.” said Jikkiri. He wasn't going to stop talking to people, though. He gave his brown another piece of meat, and watched, lovingly.

"I'll make sure to come get it for him, if that's okay," Kylerr said, brightly. He was proud to be able to take care of Fadrin... It was the least he could do to reciprocate. "Yep! My Sirinth~" He said, cutting another small chunk to feed to her, rubbing her ridges with his other hand as she chowed down. "Pitch perfect. I can't wait to play my lute with her! It'll be beautiful." Sirinth replied. "Yes, I know, but you need to eat for now," Kylerr said to her, finishing rending several chunks. He turned to Malta. "I'll be able to feed her one-handed for a bit," he said. "Thank you so much for your treatment. Is this your main job?"

3phemeral Sorry if my post is a bit rough... i am up way too late.. Malta and Poecileth“That'll work!” she said. At least, she assumed he was his lover. One never knew. And she honestly didn't care. What mattered was that they had each other, and it was positive. “That's marvellous.” she said warmly, beginning to treat his arm. It wasn't good, but it wasn't too terrible – the usual trifecta of numbweed, redwort, and dressings would do well here. His lover/friend had gotten the worst of the injury. “I hope she'll sing around the weyr!” the place needed more music. It would, she felt, be nice. Maybe it would cheer the place up. Maybe she was just always hopeful after a hatching. Maybe it had been too long between hatchings. agreed Poecileth. she said cheerfully to Sirinth. “You're welcome, though you don't have to thank me...” she said, as she treated his arm, “It is my job, and I love it, so doing it is reward enough...” she smiled, a little distractedly, as she finished the dressings. She was quiet as she tied the bandages off. “Done!” Poecileth said to the young dragon, “Yes!” Malta said, beaming with tired joy, “This is my main job. Are you a harper apprentice, then?” Perhaps 'were you' would have been more appropriate, but... he didn't just turn off being a harper because he was a weyrling now, just as she hadn't simply stopped being a healer apprentice when Poecileth had chosen her. It had simply been delayed, and she had returned to her calling when she was able. She never regretted that decision, and she didn't think she ever would. Or, perhaps, he simply liked the lute. Nothing wrong with that!

~Kynigoth say her Kalendol was lonesome. And also that she's pleased to meet you, and wants to know if you have any secrets.~The green was after secrets? Well that shed a little light on Balkaths early comment but it was still a bit odd. Good to know that Kalendol had actually been lonely then. For someone who could look at a bovine and tell you exactly what it was thinking, feeling and most likely about to do, Shalev was not the best at people. Too complicated and didn't even make sense half the time. Okay, small talk time.. ~Balkath! What do I say?~~Chosen, I still have egg shards under my talons, I do not know what humans speak of.~Of course he wouldn't know, the fact that he knew as much as he did was a mystery and miracle, all he would know was his egg. His egg. Ha! Problem solved! "I'm afraid I don't really have any secrets, juicy or otherwise. I just worked with bovines before, and their not too big on secrets either. What did you do before Kalendol? Or were you born here?" ~If my Chosen has secrets they are secret even from her, it will take much pushing sister, I suspect others will provide you more secrets than her.~They'd all just impressed, their lives were changing from whatever they were before, so the before was fair game. Even if it had been dragondung, that was fine because now it was dragons and the bad could be laughed at. 'Oh yes, I was a drudge and though I was going to be worked into an early grave, haha, but now, dragon!'. Yep. Awkward social situation successfully managed! Oh no, if she was one of the oldest, did that mean it was her job to deal with this sort of thing on a regular basis? Loneliness and such? Surely that was a weyrlingmaster job. That was why the position existed right? ~It is good to help people though isn't it Chosen?~~It is.~~So we will do what needs to be done?~~Always, I just might grumble a bit about it wingbrother.~

[quote="shoshni"
The girl pursed her lips a little and shook her head, "No. I was born in a small hold near Malvren, the youngest of five elder brothers." She chuckled and shook her head. So this woman was working with bovines, eh? Well, in an extent Kalendol was a tanner, so she worked with hides. Intriguing. "I was a tanner." The girl murmured and blushed as she felt her green bump into her.
<Mine, feed me.> The dragonet thought lazily and snapped up a small piece of meat before shaking her average sized body and casting a slightly disagreeable look to her blue clutchmate and his.
<Shards to that brothermine, everyone has secrets!> Kynigoth squeaked and then shook her head, her brilliant eyes moving onto Shalev. 'Mine, be nice.' She heard her rider's voice within her head but she let out a low rumble at being put off her target. <I suppose all shall be revealed with time. I am willing to force a push or two.> The green seemed a bit miffed at being put on hold from discovering secrets.
"Shalev, you worked with animals, so having a dragon should be relatively similar. Although they talk to you and are more or less convenient friends rather than simple beasts. Right?" Kalendol seemed perplexed, but she tried not to show it to this girl and her blue.

Jameson... or well, J'on now? He wasnt' sure exactly how far he should edit his name, James at this point? J'son? J'on? Jam'son? How did one edit their name again? 'Just go with one, you're confusing me.' Karath's thoughts rang through his mind and he sighed, 'Sorry darling.' He apologized and after a moment of just petting her head while she ate, he nodded to himself, J'on was what he would be called now. His dragon shifted with her new cape, it was slightly itchy and strange to wear but J'on poked her in the leg to get her to stop. 'When we fight we get hurt. Just have to tough it out to deal with it.' He told her. The young dragon agreed, though maybe next time, she shouldn't just pounce on her sister. She should wait until the little brat wasn't looking... then pounce on her. J'on looked up at the larger green and the healer, they were doing a good job so far and he usually was at the healers anyways for some scrap or another. Maybe he should get to know them? Then again, he should probably get to know his fellow Weyrlings. They would someday be fighting Thread with him. Slowly Karath's eating began to taper down and she took more of an interest in looking at her clutchmates, though ignoring Baeveth all together. She saw the older green and her sibling, the one who sang and she lifted her head in a call , 'Little sister.' She felt he had the right to say that, after all she was one of the first, she was older... by a few minutes atleast. 'You are the singer yes?' [/color]She asked as she wolfed down another piece of meat. 'Does yours sing as well?'

DraconicFeline No worries, it was fine :3 "I'm sure we'll be around!" Kylerr said. "Sooner rather than later if she gets her way." He scritched her ridges and smoothed his hand down her neck and back. Sirinth's eyes opened a little wider in wonder as she chewed and swallowed. she replied to Poecileth. Kylerr grinned as he offered her the next chunk. That's my Sirinth, he thought to her. she replied to Karath. The pride on Malta's face was warming to Kylerr as she did her earnest and efficient work, and he found it a little comforting, too. Another green rider, successful, able to do more than just ride and fight Thread. "I was, yes," he said, testing out his arm. The medicine worked fast, and he took to cutting some more meat for his voracious Sirinth. "Was going to Harper Hall, but I guess that's off now. No matter, though - the wherhold's going to need its own songs soon enough."

Vosin and Gold KillakeethThe teen snickered. "Bucket?! More like tub! Well I can't say I blame them. Being cooped up in that shell for so long. It must be nice to get out and stretch." Vos laughed again as he joked around. Mine will talk to Yours. She likes talking to people. Yours seemed down, though she shouldn't be after impressing to you. I had hoped Mine could help you cheer her up. Oh secrets? She ate a bite slowly and thoughtfully. What kind of secrets? I can ask, but what will I get in return? The young dragon eyed her sibling speculatively. She didn't seem to mind the question and sent a burst of feeling, amusement, to Kalendol. There was no offense taken.
She dipped her head briefly at Jikkiri's bow. You like him Vosin? He is nice, though Langoneth is rather irritable. She eyed the pair as if possibly sizing them up in some sort of private running. Vos blushed a second at comment from her dragon. "Hush. Not now." Unfortunately dragons could still talk and eat. "So! Jikki. Are you going to change your name?" Before the wherholds, she would have asked what he was changing his name to. Now it was going to be confusing. She waved as he had to return to his brown.

magnadearel oh dear... how could you reveal so much vosin xD The little dragonet eyed her sister and then looked to her sister's rider, noticing the blush, it did not take an investigator to figure out what those two had been talking about. < Mine likes Jamarin. Isn't that peculiar, sistermine?> The dragonet hummed and then was given a stern look by Kalendol, who did not seem pleased with her secret being shown to the world. ' Leave me out of it!' < Only being honest, Mine.> Kynigoth snickered before returning her attention to Killakeeth. < Mine and Vosin had lunch together at one point. My Kalendol feels that Yours and her could've been friends had they talked more.> The dragonet ventured, and then grinned. < I do so believe I've gotten my answer from Yours.> Now the pale green knew beyond a doubt that Vosin had secrets willing to devour mentally. Kalendol cast a glance towards the gold and her rider, then to Jikkiri and his Brown, then back down at Kynigoth, stuffing a piece of meat between her jaws. ' Can you not talk so openly, it's rude to request everyone's secret, Kynigoth.' She chided the dragonet. Kynigoth huffed and swallowed her meat, gazing at her rider, < Secrets are meant to be told.> She spoke, not realizing she'd included Killakeeth within this statement, at least not right away. < Sorry sistermine, that was rather loud.> The green gasped.

Malta and PoecilethPoecileth huffed in a dragonic laugh. she said to Sirinth, intrigued, laughter ringing beneath her mental voice, the big dragon paused, thoughtful, “Only for the time being.” assured Malta, pleased at her handiwork, “It's not impossible to continue your training when she's grown a little.” she smiled, “I did... it's a little difficult with Thread falling, but...” she smiled, “Not impossible. Definitely not impossible.” commented Poecileth to her rider, including Sirenth as well,

Jikkiri and Lagoneth“Nah.” said Jikki as he left, “I like my name.” he laughed. “Haha...” Jikkiri nudged a piece of meat in Langoneth's face, tugging and playing at it in a bizzare tug-of-war. Langoneth's eyes flashed, briefly, green before he wrested the meat from Jikkiri's hand. “I wonder what Jamarin will do?” Jikkiri mused idly as he cut the next piece of meat into another suitable tug-of-war sliver, “Will he change his name?” commented Langoneth, enjoying the play more than he wanted to let on to his clutchsiblings... who were still there. After devouring the meat, he gave them another red eyed glare for good measure – just to make sure they remembered that he was the 'Keep Out' egg. “I'll talk to him later.” concluded Jikkiri. The beast was hungry, it's terrible glowing eyes begging...Jikkiri laughed. “And so I shall feed you.” he said, handing over another piece of unfortunate bovine...
