So many people seem to be from Essex, I know I'm super cool by being a cockney, minus the accent. Sometimes I think it'd be cool to sound like d**k Van Dyke, seeing as it's how almost every american I've talked to thinks english people sound.

Essex is prime commuter territory, so there are lots of families who moved there & now have kids & they will in turn have yet more. Thus it's population grows out of proportion with the counrty as a whole.  According to that map I don't live in essex, but according to Royal Mail I do, go figure.
