-19 healing crystals -22 healing potions 1 potion unused.
As you feed the Prismatic Egg materials, it hungrily absorbs them, slowly beginning to glow brighter and brighter. As you attempt to feed it the last potion, though, it rejects it. The glow begins to grow brighter, until small cracks begin to spiderweb across the face of the gem.
Then the gem shatters into a shower of green light, which swirls around the area and converges in the air before you, forming a small orb of light. The orb grows slightly and elongates, changing shape until it flashes and solidifies, becoming a small person, with four insect-like wings protruding from her back.
~Congratulations!~ New pet acquired!
Utility pet: Healing Fairy A small fairy capable of using healing items in place of its master. The fairy can use potions, antidotes, and crystals as if she had a 5 in her healing skill. When afflicted by a status ailment, the fairy will always use the most specific item that she can to cure all status ailments on the character. When the character is below 30% health, the fairy will use the highest level crystal or potion available to heal the player if the player's roll1 is above 75. If the player's roll1 is not high enough, or their health is not low enough, the fairy will not act. Utility pets cannot be targeted by attacks.

The Gloomiron Golem looks up at you as you place the drop of alchemical silver into its hands. Its askewed grin grows to sizes you haven't seen before, and it holds the alchemical silver above its head as if presenting a newborn king to the animals of the Sahara. With delicate hands, the golem lowers the drop of liquid silver down to its forehead. The silver begins to pour down over the golem's head, and it sags softly in place as the metal runs over it like water, spreading into a pool on the ground.
For a moment, all is still. The golem has shut down, and the silver runs across the floor.
But then the growing mercurial pool begins to shrink. The liquid begins to delicately snake its way up the intricately carved engravings on the golem's body. The runes fill with the fluid and begin to shine, reflecting the ambient light in the area, but they do not remain filled. It is as if the liquid is searching the golem's body. As the runes in the golem's face begin to fill, the liquid seems to focus its direction of travel, and it pours into the creature's mouth, flooding and engulfing its multitude of grinding teeth before pouring down its throat. The golem begins to shudder as the silver disappears down its gullet, and wakes up as the liquid completely vanishes.
The Gloomiron golem hacks viciously, trying to cough. It gropes at its throat and gasps breathlessly. Soon, it falls to its knees and its head tilts back, a slight gurgle escaping its throat as the metal drains from its open eyes.
But then the metal flows back into its eyes. And keeps flowing. The mercury pours over the edges of its eye sockets, and as it pours down the creature's face, it flows into the runes of the golem's body and fills them with light. After a moment of stillness, the golem stirs, as if drawing breath. It looks down at its hands and observes the brilliant silver runes on its body. It opens and closes its fingers experimentally, and grinds its teeth together, a smooth sound emerging from its mouth, where it used to be a grating, rocky ruckus.
The golem lets out a metallic chuckle and looks up at Rota with mercurial eyes, its clumsy smile filled with polished silver teeth.
~Congratulations!~
The gloomiron golem has been upgraded! With the addition of the alchemist's silver, the golem has gained increased functionality! While mining, the gloomiron golem now mines with a +5 score. In addition, while resting at home, the golem has the ability to process the mysterious stone that you have gathered, and extract a minuscule amount of alchemical silver from the material. While not enough to augment a weapon, the golem can process the stone with iron ore to enhance the power of the metal. The gloomiron golem can process one mysterious stone and one iron ore per post while its master is away.

~Special Event!~ Rota: As your pick breaks the surface of the stone wall that you're working on, you meet a suspicious lack of resistance, and the air in the shaft is choked of oxygen. An acrid mist floods the area and the stench of stagnant air strangles you. The lack of breathable air makes it almost impossible to advance. You retreat, and Little One follows you, concerned. As you gasp for air, trying to replace the toxic substances in your lungs, Little One returns to the shaft, powering his way through the wall, widening the hole. Once the wall is open, Little One comes back out and waits beside you. The air is putrid, and reeks of ancient mold. There isn't enough circulation to cycle it out. The air needs to move. Little One tugs at your hand and points at your mouth. With enough heat, any air will move. Soon, you have access to the cavity behind the wall. When you enter, you find very little of note. Oh, look. A note. There is a skeleton, clutching a piece of parchment, curled into a ball and pulling the note to its chest. It seems to have been trapped by a cave-in of the far wall. ~I have taken the key
we cant let it out
not again
I take solace
the secret dies with me~ At first, it doesn't seem like there's anything else in the room, but, buried under a pile of stones is a small metal sphere, carefully hidden, and about the size of the Carved Orb that you had previously discovered. A small metal circle is responsive to touch, and when you press it, it protrudes out of the other side of the sphere. very close inspection reveals minute decorations across the polished smooth surface. Toying with the object reveals that all of these decorations are in fact moving parts. There is nothing else notable in the cavern. You have gained: Strange Sphere: A small sphere, comprised entirely of moving metal parts. No amount of tinkering seems to reveal any deeper meaning. Is this the key that the note spoke of?

~Special event!~
Rota:
A man, dressed in charred rags appears before you. His eyes are solid black, and a dark butch cut frames his young face. "Rota, I presume. I've heard a lot about you. Pretending to be half a demon. If you're gonna make crap up, at least go big. Let's see just how bad a liar you are."
A challenger invites you to a duel.
This can be handled in the Challenge thread or the Gloomwood.
