Okay, freeze that moment.
Now, what happens when a single active warhead from a Stinger meets a multiple-gallon tank of gas? It's obvious. But what happens when that explosion triggers the other warheads in the vicinity? Well, it depends on the windspeed and the surrounding heat.
Now, what would result wasn't exactly a firestorm, but it would take out most of the surrounding personell anyway.
Okay, let's continue.
BOOM
One blew up, taking the other four with it. The chain of explosions rained death on anything that was underneath the umbrella of devastation. That act alone had eliminated not just the 50+ enemies that were after Eripse, but several others as well.
Total body count- around two hundred more.

Eripse rose from the ground in a spiralling pirouette, no more a brute, butnow sleek, like a kitty cat. Small, and in her hands, those shards, reformed, smaller... No longer the singular four foot blade, but two two foot blades, held in her hands... Assuming, with her speed, and the magnitude, She did not raise from the ground in smoke and debris, but in Hellfire.
It is this Hellfire that would ignite those blades, like two, beautiful torches. Even through the smoke, R.I.O.T. would see them as she moved, the steel-bird working through the smoke, slicing down any standing opposition in the confusion after, heading towards the doors of the very building they were working on saving. Now the question is...
Is she a Threat?

Her squad wouldn't be on the turrets long enough for the enemy to coalesce against them, as they had specific instructions not to attack from one place for too long. They had to keep moving.
G-18
It was pre-planned position, the team was to converge on an abandoned warehouse only a few blocks from the R.I., a warehouse which was identified as the most likely H.Q. of the seige. If not, it was a jumping point to the relief of the building.
As for Eripse. A house divided. The enemy of my enemy. But she'd stick with the plan, it wasn't a race to see who could get to R.I. first.
"Forward people," Red hollered through the sound of multiple explosion, "We have a seige to break."

It was true, that she was the Enemy of her Enemy. Yet, on a more down-to-earth level, she really was just an ally. A hidden, unknown ally. Who knew. Once she'd cleared the remaining from the street, she'd turn at the waist, observing through those unnatural, robotic eyes, watching the Squad. In the aftermath, of smokescreen and debris, and dead, she was a sentinel, it seemed, observing their actions, and directions.

It was then that Eripse would get a warm welcome from behind her.
THOOM
The Ion Cannon fired from behind her, the only audible sound being exactly two seconds of a high-pitched whine. She would thus have enough time to widen her eyes and say something equivalent to "Oh, this sucks..." before making an attempt for a hasty retreat, and possibly failing.
The projectile was, in short, pure energy. Eripse was fast, sure... but this cannon's ammunition was designed to obliterate an opponent with as little reaction time from the target as possible. In other words, unless she was agile enough to move out of the firing arc in two seconds or less, Eripse would be one flash-fried Phoenix. Eripse merely frowned, before the beam of energy vanished here in what could only be high-powered, a**-raping techno-death. However, it is a given, that in death, only the ashes would remain. Such as it would be, once the beam had past and her smoldering, luminated, golden-embered ashes drifted to and fro on the wind. However, they had a pull to them, collecting slowly together... Now, given, mass would not be entire in Ash, but surely, something was off.
She was, after all, a Phoenix.

It noticed. The thermal scanners and energy scanners were still active, and they still recognized a heat signature. It aimed its massive 12.7mm machine gun at the ashes and simply waited for something to happen. As soon as it did, it would fire...

A few dozen sentinals were dead before they even knew what hit them, it was too easy, as these soldiers weren't advanced. Most of them were technically obsolete, some were just people with artificial limbs. Those that were still human were taken out via non-lethal methods whenever possible, their synthetic parts deactivated.
As they approached the abandoned warehouse, the jumping point toward R.I. Aekea HQ, the night sky lit up brighter than noon in Barton, as noon in Aekea was fairly dark due to all the smog. But this light cut through the pollution, even looking toward it could damage your eyes.
Red broke radio silence.
"What the hell was that?"
"The distraction was obliterated by an unknown energy blast, one operative has been temporarily blinded."
A chill went down Red's spine.
"I want a report from the air, if they saw the blast I want a location, if not, tell them to search at a safe distance with ECM. Remain unseen at all costs. Resume RS. Over."
Safe, with advanced energy weapons, no distance was really safe.
Energy weapons? How did they get a hold of energy weapons?
Either they had stolen them from R.I., or they were bringing in reinforcements, either way, it wasn't going to be pretty.

Eripse hated this... disjointed feeling... The feeling of the first stages of the rebirth, when ashes were strewn, and she felt... discombobulated.. Like a physical picasso... Her nose was about six feet thatta way... and she was pretty sure her eye was right next to her left foot....
Mmm, good... Egg-time...
Ash would thicken, like some.... goop.... Collecting and forming as if in Zero-G, producing first a ball of shiny, globby, silver stuff... Purdy purdy. But then, of course, it elevated to the sky, forming obviously an Egg. Innards shifted smoothly to reform the woman, inside the metallic egg...
Knowing that b*****d was still out there, she didn't hesitate to slam her body around, applying herself to the sticky, almost fleshy inside, breaking it outward, but in a manner to apply it to her body, rather than abandon it. The s**t was hard, protective...
She could use a defense to her offense. And thus, Eggshell jaggedly applied itself to the metal surface, wings weak with their newness, but legs strong with their previous forms time on the planet. Some was lost, but not all. Figuring another Ion-shitstorm was atleast a decent figure away, She hauled a**, two of the longer, eloquent sides of the egg attatched to each arm... And beneath her metallic skin, her heart fluttered with the joy of something potentially worse... But in her vast mind, a Physics 101 Law popped up...
An object is only as strong as it's weakest point.
Springing upward with her legs, Arms went wide, aiming to wrap herself to the chest piece. Against her spine, the eggshell hugged as well... In simplicity, if she contorted her body a certain way, she could, infact, produce a half-shell over her back. A half-shell of thick, protective, bio-metal, strengthened by animalistic instinct to protect the charge within.

She reformed into an egg, and limbs started popping out. Unfortunately, as she got a move on, the machine gun began to let loose, a spray of heavy suppressive fire raining on the still-reforming Eripse. Now, these were 12.7mm rounds. Big, hefty bullets that could put a neat hole through tempered steel.
Whatever that shell was made of, she'd better hope it was plenty resilient, because Eripse was about to wish for a bit of cover to hide behind.
Within the space of one minute, long before the half-shelled bird-lady reached the chestplate, three hundred rounds would be forcefully removed from the barrel of the machine gun. It would most likely slow Eripse down, if not punch through her like a needle through skin.
If it did not, there were always the ion shields that needed to be worried over. Proto-Soldier Vitals Energy Reserves- 29 Rounds Remaining- 2700 Rockets Remaining- 20 Shield Status: 100% Armor Status: 100% R.I.O.T. Five would find that the abandoned warehouse was indeed... well, occupied. Sentries at any entrances, snipers on the rooftops. Which meant that there were possibly many more inside. Now would be a good time for a call to the Black Hawk that was still in the air and unnoticed. If this was the command center, there were communications inside. Comm lines could be disrupted, at the cost of the revalation that their enemy had arrived.
But really, what chance did the prosthetics in here have, really? None. If this building were captured, the R.I. building would be within their grasp.

Eri would frown, actually pausing her rush once the bullets came, Actually bringing her shelled arms upward and gritting her legs down, metallic face actually seeming to contort as she was beated backwards. Yes, the Egg was that resilient... Or...
"s**t." The shell would crack, much as if someone tapped on an egg with an archeologists pick-hammer, And she frowned, mind racing. She needed something... Something to fight it with, to distract it, till it worried out it's resources... Frowning, She'd move smoothly, turning and hauling a**, paving the road in cracks as her robotic form hauled a** towards a nearby, tall building.
Setting arms out swiftly onto an over-turned bus, she'd dig her talons into the ground and rotate smoothly, grunting in an exhalation of steam as her body strained with swinging the bus around. Not a mace, mind you, but a giant, spinning projectile to cover her a** as she turned and ran towards the building once again.

The bullets would trail after her as she made her escape, just before the bus was toosed in the direction of the nine foot titanium giant. It simply aimed its ion cannon at the damn thing, fired... and the bolt of electric-blue energy ripped it in two, making the halves pass neatly to either side of the 'bot.
By then, Eripse had found the shelter of a building.
She could hide.
But not for long.
Target has evaded weapons range. Switching to thermal scan mode.
It's vision turned blue, with any organic targets in red. The one it was looking for had a unique biological pattern, so the bio-scanners were put into play as well. Sooner or later, she would be found. The Proto-Soldier began moving forward, and its steps made the pavement crack underneath... as well as several of those bio-mechanical insurgents that were unlucky enough to fall into its path.

(Since you're being a little ho and not on MSN, What kind of Pick-up Leftovers am I looking at? Anything potentially useful? RPGs? Grenades? GIMME TEH SPLOZIFS. Which is kinda odd, since I'm like, a cannon in myself... Har har.)
She'd frown, if she could. damn metal. She hid beneath the thermal, her bodyheat levels under her control. Be kinda odd if they weren't. But steadily, she shifted back, red plumage replacing steel, nudity amazing in it's entirity. Plumage hid chest, but... dangly bits could not be hid. Frowning, as she glanced at nearby clothing, she pondered, for a moment, the possibility of it's usefulness, and longevity.
Walking within the building, heading towards the middle, she'd find a nice spot, and sit down. Lotus position, like a pro. And in her own self-given silence, She'd open her mind, memory fetching out a map in the walls of her skull...
And with a silence to it, She'd exhume shadows of energy, Extending her control of temperatures outward, Heating up the air into the blurr of human bodies, All around. Yet remaining hers masked. She'd drain the beast before she ******** it over hard.
And in her mind, she chuckled...
"That sounded Dirty.."

((There are none in that building there. In fact, all the buildings in Central Aekea have since been vacated and the weapons within stockpiled before the attack on the Raven Industries office. All weaponry is on the street below or on the rooftops, or in the warehouse that Red's team is about to storm. That said...)) Mistake.
Multiple targets sighted. Switching ordinance.
Oh, damn. This would be the part where it got nasty. The floor that the multiple clones were located on would soon eat a bolt of ion cannon death. She would have little time to move as the floor that she occupied was ripped to pieces, as well as a good chunk of the building. Eripse figured the big boy would over-gun it. As the building shuffled down upon her, She elevated herself sharply, transcending a physical form as she had before, only once, in essence to breath life. But now she wanted to breath death. Death, and ******** bones, upon this monstrosity. Like liquid light, her body radiated heat, burning debris as it came in a radius around her, a sphere of hellfire. The floor melted away slowly, turning molten. And with it, she levitated.
Hark, the horizon! The sun, he rises early!
That's no sun, my boy, That is the Phoenix, Enraged, for she has woken to her eggs gone, and I pity the men who climb down her mountain...
