A simple hadou demonstration...
I shook my head and looked at Kenji, which one to use. Byakurai seemed a logical choice, because it was the one he had practiced with the most, however, Soukatsui because of it's power may have been interesting to perform, and see how the rest of them would react.
No, now was not the time to draw attention to myself. I raised my finger towards the target, and as I had taught myself, focused. Some Hadou techniques, such as Byakurai and Soukatsui were parallell techniques, in the sense that, they couldn't be directed as they didn't leave your own body fully, unlike Amber Canon...Although, of course, it was still an advantage to direct it at the enemy because it allowed you to pour more power into it.
"Kenji...don't over do it," I said quietly as my Reiatsu flowed into my fingers.

Standing next to Kai, Kenji nodded his head and faced his target. Then he held his hand up, his palm facing the target. He knew which one he was going to use, he didn't have to worry about that.
His Reiatsu roared in anticipation, in excitement, in enjoyment. Resting his spare hand on his Zanpakuto he ready for the signal. His Reaitsu already rushing down to his palm, eager to work.

"Do your best, Bukotsu, Good luck to you as well Shiraku," Nishiharu said as she stepped back to watch from sidelines. But soon after turning around to see that Bukotsu was using the technique she had seen many times before and even had an experience with. The 'Ankokumatou-Jutsu' was very powerful and rivaled in offense to the Phoenix and Warlord styles of her family.
"HEY! WHY ARE YOU USING THAT AS AN OPENING?!?" She shouted out to him referring as to why he decided to use it rather than summoning and gathering his reiatsu like the others.

Back from training, Ugu walked into the dome room once more, passing by his fellow students. He went to the 'line' that Hideki had ordered and stood tall there. A small bit of blood oozed from his ankles, flitting onto the ground beneath his sandals.
He quickly placed his left hand in front of himself, and aptly placed his right elbow onto his left hand's now opened palm. Pointing with his right hand, his eyes focused on the targets that Hideki was currently setting up.

Shiraku moved quickly to the line. Lining himself up infront of a target. He made sure that his footing for the soon to be demonstration was strong so that when the power of the hadou spell came out, it wouldnt cause him to fall off balance and screw the spell up. Shiraku made sure his knees were bent, back straight, and reiatsu swirling inside of his body ready to be unleashed to him outsides.
Shiraku focused on the target. Breathing and forcing the reiatsu out of his body and into his arm. On the outside of his body it seemed to be a glow. A glow of reiatsu that was simmering inside of his body and letting what looked like steam rise from him. Steam that was deep golden color.
"Now its like this students. Those of you taking the test. This hadou demonstration is what you would call a contest of Beauty and Strength. For this the Spells dont have to be particularly accurate but they have to look spectacular and have to be thuck with the strength of your reiatsu. Now you have a choice of two different types of Hadou spells that your can use. I will give you your score on how they look."

I growled. This was a test? Pathetic. Beauty was nothing in battle.
"Very well," I said and decided on a combo of the two basics that i knew of. I held out my hand palm facing the sky and focused forming a ball of Reiatsu in my hand. I knew I would have to do this quickly, and now...I wasn't interested in passing the test at all. (I'm using Hadou #1 Spirit Ball there)
Drawing my left hand back and into a position as if pointing at the target, i moved the spirit ball into its path.
"Hadou #4, Byakurai..." I had to be careful i didn't let it out too powerfully otherwise i could have made a huge explosion and killed myself. The white light shot out moving around the faint blue ball in paths which made it look somewhat like a comet as the ball wore down as it flew. Then it struck the target and obliterated it with a rather large bang, leaving a halo of spirit energy around it, and the dissappating Byakurai diffusing between the spirit particles, making an impression of lightning passing around the blue halo.
"I'm done," I said as the picture disappeared.

Kenji watched his Sensei in awe, though he could probably do something similar. Though he guessed that one was like patting your head and rubbing your stomach in opposite directions. Since, you had to focus on both and do the opposite with each one while keeping a balance at the same time. Since he knew about how the Spirit ball worked, unlike many Hadou it wasn't ranged, but actually worked on a Melee basis and needed constant Reiatsu feed to keep it strong and tough.
He sighed, he doubted he'd be able to pull off something as good. However he still tried.
" Ye Lord, Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man, Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, March on to the south! Hadou #31 Shakkaho!" He said loudly, and then waited for a moment as the ball of fire rose into the air to descend on it's target. Quickly he made the same incantation again, deliberately making mistakes here and there to control the formation of the spell. He launched a second straight at the first. It was considerably weaker, but it was enough to carve down the centre of the first and seperate it into two sections proving a small gravitational pull. This one was all about timing and targeting rather than Reiatsu balancing and control.
The two balls suddenly spread out before coming back together and weaving with each other before striking the target on either side, taking it out, although leaving a thin strip in the centre still intact, which subsequently wilted.
Kenji sighed, he couldn't do much better than that at this stage. He bowed that he was finished and stepped back. He thought back on what the examiner had said. He had been a little cryptic, because too much power would destabalize control and thus, not as good display. Which would be better in battle if you needed to create an opening, while using all your power in one blow would leave you open if your attack missed.

"Alright... I guess I'm done with preparations," Buktosu said as he adopted a stance verily similar to his previous time gathering his energy as he began swirling his arms in front of him like the hands on a clock.
Particles of reiatsu assumed the form of blue energy bubbles as they traveled with the motion of his hands as it went on a spinning on it's side. As the particles assumed shape and began clumping into even denser sizes. Finally bringing his hands together, the reiatsu began to clump into a single ball of pressured blue reiatsu between his hands and resting between his palms. No was the hard part since it took a large amount of concentration in the palms to create a life-threatening force.
Bringing it to his side and turning his body slightly, he then forced the energy out of his hands, letting out, "Secrets of the Ankokumatou-Jutsu... Wave Motion Surge...HADOU-KEN!!" as it traveled as a bit faster than the other kidou spells as the energy of dense pressured reiatsu crashed into the target. Shattering the target int he center, the broken leftover particles began to spread about.
As they did, Bukotsu had already prepared another Ankokumatou-Jutsu. This one however was different, as he forced into place more pressured reiatsu as the particles from the previous hadouken had come back joining into a newly formed ball of hadou.
As noted before, this one was different since, he was now focusing on concentrating an electromagnetic life-threatening force in his palms, and as he brought his hands together, the hadou become even denser and greater in mass as he forced reiatsu into place. As he now felt it was ready to be fired as he noted a different move now, "Secrets of the Ankokumatou-Jutsu...Electromagnetic Wave Motion Surge....DENJIN HADOUKEN!!" as he fired.
The bigger ball of electromagentically charged pressured reiatsu had a slow start as it went out like a big blue comet, but in an instant it had already reached it's target in the blink of an eye. As it touched the target, the electricity crashed into it's target as it singed the rest of thge target. After crashing into it's target the energy scattered into the particles and traveled back to wence they were summoned from as they returned to the pressured reiatsu covering Bukotsu's body like a second skin.

Watching the other students perform their spells made Okuni seem a little left out on action. Looking at the first two who went, she figured she'd seen performances like that. Looking at Bukotsu, she simply smirked. He was using something simple and easy, not enough to really impress her.
Despite being a nice person, she was a hard grader, or in other words a very picky judge when it came to something like this. Not really being able to say anything, he sat thereher knees to her chest as she continued looking over the competition.

Hideki watched the students. So far it seemed they had the concept of extravagence down. Although it seemed they didnt know how to connect the beauty with strength. The First Student, Kenosha seemed to be alright with beauty. Although it seemed his attitude toward it was on the Bluh side. The Comet explosion effect was good for a beginner although it was more on the unoriginal side. For this Hideki gave him a 6 out of 10.
The Next was student Kenji's. His demonstration was more complex than Kenosha's. Hideki actually liked the effect of the two balls orbit and then their collision with the target. Hideki grinned at Kenji's display.
The Next Demonstration he checked out was Bukotsu's. He knew he was in for a treat when he saw that Bukotsu was up and doing his Hadou types. Since he had already knew about Bukotsu's little handicap he wanted only to see what he could do as of now. Though to his surprise he saw something that was an eye bleeder. How the sparks seemed to be absorbed back to his body and reused for his other attack. It was simple though to him extremely rare to see.
For his overall score for all of these students so far he gave then in order.
Kenosha - 6
Kenji - 7
Bukotsu - 8
Due to Bukotsu handicapp and his abilities to get around them he gave him a bit of a higher score.

I looked up he made his decision.
"I'm done here" I said unemotionally. I knew exactly why I'd been given the low score and my hand flickered briefly. Beauty was nothing except diversions to true power. I walked out smoothly, i had little time to waste on pathetic excursions that involved making yourself prettier.
Leaving Kenji behind I headed towards the dormitories.
(A good exam...but my Character thinks otherwise)

Kenji glanced up, this was odd, he had scored better than his Sensei? Weird, did that mean he was better than him then? He'd have to test this out, he'd challenge him when they were training next time to a kidou dual.
Now he watched as his Sensei walked out without the Examiners permission. He took this as his own cue to leave, he couldn't risk losing a Sensei this early, "Sumimasen." He bowed gently then ran out after his Sensei.
He knew where he was going because he had listened earlier, though what was it with the girl? Probably none of his business.

Bukotsu gave a sigh as his skin tight reiatsu resided. He didn't feel that it was over due to the fact that He had received an 8 out of 10, not bad, but not good enough either.
"Whew ok, all I have to do now is just keep an effort like that in all my techniques..." he spoke to himself. Not to mention keeping his confidence up, Bukotsu couldm't really focus with Okuni around, it was as if she kept staring at him.

In battle, Ugu thought, grace means nothing. Beauty is something only accomplished when you are fighting someone you can take the time to do elaborate schemes.. Ugh.. I guess it doesn't matter. His right arm pointed at the nearest target. And something pretty is useless when compared with something strong, or accurate. I don't get his logic..
But it doesn't matter. The seven foot tall giant began to speak after his short amount of time talking with himself. "Soukatsui, O Lord, Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man, Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws." He paused, lettting the small bits of dust below him rustle from the oncoming strength of his incoming attack.
"Way of Destruction Number Thirty-Three: Descent of the Blue Flame." A raging ball of blue flame erupted from the man's palm. It was sent flying, with its monstrous two meter wide diameter, toward the simplistic target. The ball rammed through it, smashing it into small pieces with its overdone strength.
But, even though he did the attack already, Ugu left his right arm pointing at the smoldering ruin of a target. And he waited. I would never be able to send that big of a Hadou attack in a real battle against a hollow. It'd just be.. Dumb. The time I wasted concentrating could be used to actually hurt the hollow, and thus remove it..
