Momo nodded, "ig we absolutely have to, we can carry him." he waited for Hal to turn before he stared at the lump, "hal!" he ran his hand over the lumo carefully, "does that cause tension?" he asked, shaking his head, "what could have caused this? your internal signals may read fine, but they also could have been damaged by the fall." he looked towards the city, "We will have to find somewhere to open you up in there. i don't want you going around with this and not knowing what it is."

Momo knew Hal had felt it, "Hal-?" it was impossible, there was no way, but- "Hal are you in pain right now?" what did he do? he'd never heard of this sort of thing before. he dropped his head to Hal's shoulder, "what do we do? you're hurt, and you are feeling actual pain. this hasn't happened before, i don't know what to do!" his father would know. his father could help them, but his father wasn't here any more and he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was nothing compared to his father.

Momo nodded a little, "i hate this-" he whispered. he hated the constant fear of loosing Hal. Hal had always seemed such a sure thing, Momo had worried about what would happen to him when he died. what would the android do? maybe someday Momo would have a child who would inherit Hal as he had from his father. the idea that he would outlive Hal hadn't even been a possibility and now? now it was painfully clear Hal could be lost to him just like any human would be. "don't leave me."

Momo made himself let Hal go and move away. "yeah, should eat. think we should have the stew or save it for lunch?" he asked as he chewed on a bit of the meat Hal and given him and took a drink. "malcom," he touched he boy's foot, tickling the bottom gently. "Malcom, time to wake up." he was hoping that waking him up like this wouldn't scare the boy too badly.

Momo got out two spoons, they would just eat out of the pot to save on dishes. he handed one to Malcom and moved to sit next to him so the pot was between them. "morning, kiddo." he took a bite and watched Hal-cujo ripping into the meat. "it's early, sorry, but we want to make the city with enough daylight to look around." he looked the boy over, "You feeling ok? headache? anything?" it wasn't that long ago that they found him a few hours from death. "here, have some water." he gave the half full bottle over, watching Malcom closely. "how are his vitals, Hal?" he was being a worry wart, but with the sudden slap to his face about Hal's mortality, he didn't want to take any chances with a far more fragile human child.

Momo moved as well, but Malcom's question was a hard one. "it's a machine that lets you-" how did he explain, "well, we will be using it to look at the programs that make Hal work properly. we will be looking for anything wrong and if we find something we can used a computer to fix it." he shrugged, "it's hard to explain, i'll have to show you." he took another couple of bites, but waited to let Malcom eat his fill before he ate any more. he could go without longer than the boy could.

Momo took another bite before packing everything up. "it changed according to the time of day, like how it gets lighter and then darker? well, for the most part the sky was Hal's color, but sometimes, when the sun shown the brightest, it was my color." he pulled his pack on and shrugged, "that's what my father used to say, anyways." he patted Malcom's head, "alright, let's go." he made sure nothing was left before starting to walk, "wanna hold m hand, Mal?"
