Darian catches up to the two young women quickly. His hands also had some blood on them.

Reaching the stream Lael thrusts her hands into the cold water with a sigh. Taking out her soap she washes her hand and then passes it to Kitara. "Once you're done with it give it to Darian," she says.

Kitara Elvini, the blue eyed elf, nods though she takes out her sword (which is clean). She cuts off a sliver of it before handing the larger slice to Darian.
"Sorry about that, Lael. I'll get you a full bar of soap when we get to the next village," she says, pulling out Lael's bag of gold she had in her quiver, "This slice will just be enough to clean this bag, a few of the weapons, and my hands. The rest will still be soiled until we get to the next village."
She cleans the bag and hands it to Lael, "I should have asked first, though. I'm sorry about that, Lael. I'd like to get this out of the stuff I have with me, so to convenience you, Darian, Jay and myself, though."
After handing the bag to Lael, she turns to a few swords she has and says, as she cleans them, "If I can get these clean, they should sell well."

Darian takes the slice and thoroughly washes his hands. Realizing that he still has quite a bit of soap left he washes his face, which had become dotted with droplets of blood during the battle.

"Don't worry about it," Lael says smiling. "I'm not so petty that I would get mad over a bar of soap. You don't need to buy me another one." She takes the bag, tucking it in with what little money she was able to bring from her home. "At least the weapons will sell well," she continues, cheerful now that they're away from the bodies and smell. "Then some good will have come from all this."

The elvish lady nods to the albino as she notices Darian wash his face.
"Cousin, do I have any on me?" she asks, pausing from cleaning the swords that she has found.

"Mostly on your right arm," Darian replies, "A little on the right side of your face."

The elvish woman laughs, "That's because I use my right hand the most."
She bends down, again, to the stream and washes her face then her arm. Jay flits to her side, telling her where she missed spots. She finally cleans up before turning to Jay.
"Let me see your wings, Jay," she says to him in bluejay, "Though you may be able to change forms, your grunge and wounds are still present, no matter the form. Must I remind you?"
He twitters something before spreading his wings, allowing her to check them and clean them for him. Kitara finishes cleaning his wings and he flits down to the stream. He chirps as he splashes around in the water, getting the rest off of himself.

"I think he's having fun." Darian laughs, watching the bluejay splash around in the water.

Kitara nods, "He likes to take baths. However, he can never get stuff off of his wings like blood, so I have to help him get partially cleaned up."
The bluejay chirps something as he hops along the shoreline, splashing water up at every jump he makes.
"Sometimes I wonder if he should have been a fish because he likes water so much."

"That it does. That it does..." Kitara says before being lost in memories of before Jay was a bluejay.
He was so much different then, though we were both young. He's more mature, kinder, gentler, a bluejay.... She rolls her eyes, watching him splash around in the water.

Lael watches Jay. "But he can't fly like that, right?" she says. "Because his wings are wet." She looks at Kitara. Seeing that the girl is lost in memories she smilies. "What are you thinking about?" she asks. "If you don't mind me asking," she continues hurriedly.
((Oh, man. Sorry I was gone for so long. Very busy weekend. XP))

Elvini smiles gently, a glazed-happy look over her eyes, "He can fly like that, after he shakes some of the water off. However, he'll perch on my shoulder again, most likely."
She sighs watching him again, "Well, Lael, I was thinking about how he was before he was cursed to be a bluejay. Also, I was thinking about how we've both changed over time, as well as our relationship...."
Jay looks up from the stream and, seeing Kitara's expression, knows that she wishes him to be close. He jumps to the shore, shakes a lot of water from his wings, and flies to her shoulder, nuzzling her left cheek. She smiles and strokes his neck, her fingers soothing out his feathers. After a second, she smiles, looking to Darian and Lael.
"Well, shall we continue on to the village?"

Lael watches the moment between them, smiling softly. "Someday you'll have to tell me that story, of how he became a bird," she says, honestally interested. "But for now, we should probably be going." She stands and swongs her pack over her shoulder.
