Arnbjorg hummed in an amusing tune when Tanya shared about her brother-in-law being a 'big goofy guy of an auror'. "Hmm, that's funny since that's a bit of an opposite in my case. Guy has a really dry sense of humor, really quiet, and sometimes a smartass," she shrugged as she leaned against the back of the chair, "but, he's actually nice, even if carries a resting b***h face seventy-percent of the time." Like geez, she wished that Matteo should at least simmer down and, like, get a boyfriend or girlfriend or whatever.

She waved her hand as the other lady thanked her for not carting her off, in a manner as if she's saying "It's not big deal!" "Psssh, it would be really hypocrital of me if I say that I never vented to someone." Arnbjorg said, as she was fairly self-aware that she tended of express what she had in mind to people. Later on, she finally got her order only to chuckle at Tanya's comment of the butter being flatter combined with an analogy that has something to do with vampires. Taking the chips, Arni answered her question before taking a bite, "Just taking a break, honestly. Handling a shop while the boss is having some sort of family getaway is kinda tiring, but whatever, it's worth it. Gives me time to get to know about the people here in Britain, I've been here since months ago."

She blows out of nowhere, roman candle in the wild
Laughing away through my feeble disguise
No other version of me I would rather be tonight
Lord she found me just in time...

Elisabeth made herself at home at the bar, ordering a glass of Elf-made wine and a slice of vanilla cake to snack on while she looked over the papers she had brought with her. Freddy had written her, wanting to know how Ladybug was doing at school. Elisabeth frowned. It looked like Calliandra hadn't written her father - Elisabeth would have to mention it in her next letter. But now she had to think of a response for Freddy, who had never really approved all that much of the magic that was so important to Elisabeth and Calliandra.

She would also have to explain what the various terms about Hogwarts meant, and it was all going to be a lot of work. Elisabeth pushed the letter away, taking a sip of wine and tapping her fingers on the bar top. She had other letters to write, about books she wanted to buy from various people. They would be far easier to write, and Elisabeth thought she would start with them. It would give her more time to decide what to tell Freddy.

She's gonna save me, call me baby, run her hands through my hair
She'll know me crazy sooth me daily but yet she wouldn't care
We'll steal her Lexus, be detectives, ride 'round pickin' up clues
We'll name our children Jackie and Wilson raise them on rhythm and blues.

Location: Leaky Cauldron
Wearing: Jeans and a light blue top
Thinking: It wouldn't kill Calliandra to write her father herself, even if she is busy.
Company: All alone
OOC: Feel free to interact. Elisabeth is just being mopey.

Dora sat in the Leaky Cauldron with a bit of a critical eye. It was a bit dim and musty for her tastes, but the only other eatery options in Diagon were some overpriced French restaurant, one or two cafes, and the ice cream parlor. And while sitting outdoors might have been nice, the entire Alley was packed at this time of the year. But it was better than hanging out somewhere muggle, where she'd have to watch how loudly she spoke of Beauxbatons and quidditch. Besides, perhaps Yvonne had some recommendations for her- she'd been here for a few years already, or at least, that was what Dora had heard through the grapevine. While she'd been acquainted with the other girl in school, Yvonne had been a few years ahead, so they hadn't known each other very well, but from what Dora remembered of the young woman's personality, she'd been quiet and polite, at least in the setting of school. Hopefully she was similarly tolerable now. Dora needed to make some friends, loathe as she was to admit it, unless she planned on living a life of quidditch, working out, walking her dog, and one-night stands. (Although she had to say, these British boys really were something to rave about. Even if they could never compare to a Spaniard).

Yvonne really only ever hung out with Beth and the cafe crew, and of course, Jonas. When she’d heard that another girl from Beauxbatons was staying nearby, the witch reached out to her, and voila, they made plans to catch up. Although Dora was a couple of years younger than Yves, and the two never really knew each other that well in school, Yvonne needed another friend. Preferably, one who wasn’t nosy; she wouldn’t be able to handle a second Beth. Fortunately, Dora never seemed to be the nosy type. Maybe a little vindictive if you were to get on her bad side, which the twenty two year old has never done. But she’s seen the other side of that relationship with other girls from school. And if any of the rumours she’s heard around school were even partly true, she didn’t want to ever cross the other woman.

Hazel-green eyes peered around the pub. The room was lit awfully, even for a pub, and the fact that the sun was brightly shining outside made it even more difficult to adjust to the darkness. However, it was the only decently priced eatery in Diagon Alley. Plus, catching up on each other’s lives in a muggle infested restaurant could have ended up going terribly. Spotting Dora, Yvonne approached her and greeted her with a smile. “Bonjour!” she exclaimed in their native language, slipping into the seat across from her. “Comment ҫa va?” After speaking only English pretty much every day for the past four years, speaking French in public felt odd.

Dora glanced up at the approach of Yvonne, who looked much the same as she had in school, if a little older and obviously not clad in the old pale blue Beauxbatons uniform they'd all been forced into. Powder blue had never been Dora's color, and so at least a quarter of her detentions had been for coming to class either not in uniform at all, or with it charmed black. Ah well, what had they expected? It was very hard to make a Rosales do something they didn't want to do. "Salut," she replied calmly, with a small grin, having not spoken French in what felt like quite some time. After all, with her family it was Spanish, and here she spoke English, much as the brunette might not want to. "Comme ci comme ça."

Having not been raised in France, when she'd first started at Beauxbatons, although she had been tutored in French since a young age, in preparation for her schooling there, it had still taken her a while to really get all the nuances of the language. And of course she'd been teased a bit over her accent, although she'd quickly put that to rest. "Et tu? Habitués à la vie parmi les sauvages encore?" Dora had heard the older women was staying with family, in Glou-Gloucestwhatever. Some place ridiculously English sounding. She supposed she could have saved herself some money and stayed with the Hargraves, but while she was fond of Miranda and Callista, she had no interest in having La Puta as her landlady. The Rosales didn't forget slights, and although Dora and her family didn't agree on much, she did agree that what had happened to Tia Liliana was despicable, and la gossa escocesa was at least in part to blame.

One of Yvonne’s eyebrows rose in curiosity when Dora responded, saying she was alright. Maybe she was going through some s**t, but Yves definitely did not want to ask and push on the wrong button. Otherwise, just as quickly as they had spotted each other in the pub, their friendship – if they could even call it that – would end. However, the look on the Frenchwoman’s face longed for Dora to go into detail about her life. They met up to catch up after all. At her schoolmate’s next question, she couldn’t help but let out a snort. “Ben, oui. J’ai déjà vécu en Angleterre pour trois – non, quatres – ans.” Yvonne’s lips formed into a small smile before adding, “Ils ne sont pas si sauvages comme tu penses, pour le plupart.”

The girls exchanged another chuckle before Yvonne’s curiosity crept up once again. “Alors, pourquoi as-tu déménagé au Pays des Sauvages en premier lieu?” To be completely honest, Yvonne hadn’t stayed in contact with very many classmates even in her own year. After everything that had happened, she was just glad to get out of that school alive and with a minimal amount of emotional wounds. All of the other two faced salopes et putains could drown for all she cared. Actually, that was why she was pretty glad that Dora was the one who had moved here. If it had been Émilie or Béatrice, Yves would’ve rather stabbed her eye with thousands of needles than meet up with either of those bitches. Just then, a server came and after taking the girls’ orders – which, by the way, Yvonne ordered the Shepard’s Pie and a glass of Elderflower wine – he left to get them their food. A glass of wine at noon couldn’t hurt anyone. If it did, they shouldn’t have it on the menu.
