Wren grinned, her blue eyes shining. "It's amazing, how much they can understand of what we say," she said, her tone filled with awe. "And the things they can do ... they really are amazing crea-"
She cut herself off mid-sentence, turning her head sharply towards the forest. "Did you hear something?" she asked Miyuki after a moment.

Miyuki's ears twitched as both ears and head turned towards the forest to listen. She had been quite distracted before, so if there had been any sound she didn't catch it.
"I... don't think so?" she murmured thoughtfully, "What did you hear?"

Wren continued to scan the trees. "I'm not sure, and maybe I'm imagining it," she replied softly, "but after yesterday I'm not willing to take any chances."
Her hand moved to her waist, where she had a brace of throwing knives strapped to herself.
A moment later, a single figure emerged from the trees. It was a dark elf, the same man who had been there the day before, and in his arms he was carrying what looked like a large basket. He called out to Wren and Miyuki, lifting the basket slightly as if showing it to them.

"Oh!" Miyuki set her nib down and rose to her feet, "It's the man from yesterday."
She thought about it, and realized she didn't know his name. That wasn't good, but it looked like he brought something.
"Probably should tell Kyrie, if she doesn't already know...." Miyuki looked around expecting Kyrie to pop up.

"Or Andarien or Iorlas," Wren added, guessing that Miyuki was simply looking for someone who could communicate with the man. She looked around. "I ... don't see Kyrie anywhere," she frowned. "That's odd. She's usually around ..."
Though to be fair, the woman did have the odd habit of disappearing now and then. And it wasn't as if she had a tent to disappear into: she just slept out in the open air, no matter the weather or temperature.

"Maybe she went to check on something?" Miyuki suggested.
She had no idea what Kyrie did when she wasn't watching the camp or with them.
"I know Andarien went to Kaito and Shiro's tent," Miyuki added.
Though the boy knew common tongue, and while not fluent it was understandable. So maybe they wouldn't need to find someone who could translate?

"Or maybe she's off looking for more herbs or something," Wren sighed. "Who knows? It's a pity the man didn't bring his son with him today, then we could talk to him ourselves."
She waved to the man to show him she had seen him and motioned for him to join them to let him know that he was welcome.

"Should I go get Iorlas or Andarien?" Miyuki asked.
From the sounds of it Wren had gotten to know the two enough to know that the son was the only one who spoke common tongue.

Wren nodded. "At least those two, we know where they are," she commented. "I'll wait here for him so that it doesn't look like we're running away on him."
She grinned at Miyuki reassuringly and nodded towards the nekos' tent.

"I'll be right back then," Miyuki replied closing the pokeball she was working on.
She made a beeline for Shiro and Kaito's tent, figuring that the two nekos would still be there. If not, at least Shiro would be there, and Shiro woudl know where Kaito and Andarien were if the two went off to train.

Inside the nekos tent, Kaito and Andarien were caring for their weapons in one corner, sitting on Kaito's bedroll with Eon and Zeus watching beside them, while on the other side of the tent, Kyrie was sitting with Shiro and getting him to do exercises with his arm. All four of them looked up when Miyuki entered the tent.
"What's up?" Andarien asked, figuring that his sister was looking for him. "I haven't had a chance to ask Shiro about electricity yet, he's doing his therapy."

"The man from yesterday came back with a basket," Miyuki explained, "And Wern and I just need someone who can communicate with him."
Though since Kyrie was in here, maybe Kyrie would like to talk to him instead she thought.

"His son didn't come with him?" Andarien asked, surprised - though to be fair, when he thought about it, he didn't know why he was surprised. After all, they had proven the day before that there were people here with whom the man could communicate, and the boy had been the one to cause the accident ...
"I'll come," Kyrie volunteered. "Shiro can continue his exercises on his own for a bit, and I think Andarien and Kaito are in the middle of something."
Caring for weapons was something she took very seriously. After all, had she not just cared for her own?

Miyuki nodded at Andarien's question, but like Andarien thought, it wasn't a complete lose since there were people who could communicate with him.
"Okay," she replied to Kyrie, "He's with Wren at the moment."
Since it was Wren who waved him over.

Kyrie pushed herself to her feet and nodded. "Thanks."
As usual, she was a woman of few words. Without saying anything more, she left the tent.
"Wonder what's in the basket," Andarien mused as he turned back to his work.
