Manga's smile grew. "I know," she said again, more softly than the first time. She leaned forward and kissed Sebastian's forehead--since she was sure that he wasn't injured there. "I love you too."

"Since Dyrnasca, so..." Guy absently counted fingers before answering. "Roughly eleven years." His gray-green eyes fixed on Thal's gold ones. "It isn't much, considering how much time we've spent separated, but you won't find anyone who's known her longer."

"Murder to sustain peace and prosperity and all that bull? Yeah. I was Pride. The big guy was Sloth. Manga was Wrath; Danny was Greed. My twin was Envy, his wife was Gluttony, and Donny... Donny was Lust." He shrugged, apparently not nearly as traumatized by the event by Danny and not as reserved about talking about it as Manga. "O' course, those aren't our real names. Manga helped us create fake identities years ago." Dishing out his own food, he sat down across the table from Thalanir. "So. What is it you really want to know about?"

Guy thought for a moment. "If you were uneasy around her, she probably acted accordingly," he replied. "Manga is a merchant's daughter; she developed the skills to read people very early in life. But she isn't confrontational, so she probably noticed your unease and didn't want to step on your toes." He shrugged. "If it was Danny or Donny, being an elf might've been a factor, but Manga never shared that distrust." The elf took a bite of food, then added, "I wouldn't let it bother you too much. She warms up to people slowly, so she might seem a little cold at first."

Emmie squeaked as egg was thrown at her, promptly throwing some--and accidentally hitting an ex-slave boy near them. There was a slight pause, and then a complete domino effect; soon there was food flying all across the room.

Guy laughed as he watched. "Looks like they've got some life in 'em still. Doll will be happy to know that." After a while, when the fun of the fight was waning, the elf stood up and started breaking it up. He roped most of them into helping him clean up--as well as Alfred, who'd just returned from whatever assistance his Chosen had needed. He blinked and looked up when he heard a squeal. He just grinned, amused at the source of the startled noise. One of the slave girls had seen a giant hand reach through the back door and serve up a plate of food for its owner. "It's alright, just Gergori," he reassured the girl. "You don't need to be afraid of him; he won't hurt ya."

Emmie glanced over at her twin and smiled before helping Alfred and the elves clean up the mess they'd made. She was a bit shy around the quiet giant, but she was glad he was there; he was really patient and didn't seem to mind that Maddie was always following him around.

Guy chuckled as he watched the twins. "It's like watching the two faces of Manga," he commented lightly in amusement. One twin was more observant and reserved while the other was loving and open-minded.

Gergori quietly ate his food, smiling at the little Skh'et girl that came to the window. He reached over and lightly patted her head with his large hand. He enjoyed Maddie's company. There was a special, warm feeling that came with a child being unafraid of him.

Manga blinked, frowning at his obvious pain. Then he explained and a warm smile lit up her face. "Creating mischief when we aren't there... it definitely sounds like our little tricksters." Theirs? Yes, theirs. The twins themselves had vocalized that she and Sebastian were like parents to them. And no matter how much she hid it, she couldn't deny the bond that she'd developed with the girls. A little bit of her was relieved at the fact that they'd done something... well, immature. She'd seen rescued slaves that could find neither purpose nor joy in life after their captivity. The fact that the girls had been able to ignite that spark in all of the former slaves was wonderful. She shifted while she mused, something in her coat bumping her side and reminding her of its presence. "Oh. This came last night..." She pulled out a smooth, gray stone that glowed a soft green. It had taken a bit of coin and a few favors to get it on short notice, but she'd managed it. Manga placed the healing stone in Sebastian's hands. "It can't heal the wounds instantaneously, but it should help you recover more quickly." The doctors and healers had done a wonderful job, but she couldn't help feeling worried and anxious. The sooner Sebastian could do even simple things like walking around the room, the sooner her own worries would wane... and maybe she'd be able to pull herself together to find more permanent homes for the ex-slaves currently staying with them.

Manga smiled wryly. "A price well-worth paying," she replied.

Gergori let out a quiet, low chuckle at Maddie's perching before continuing to eat his food. He was careful not to move too abruptly so that the girl wouldn't be thrown from his shoulder.

"Yeah." Guy nodded to Emmie. "She's like the outer image of Manga; a bit reserved, very observant, and tries to help others when the opportunities arise." Glancing over his shoulder at the window, he continued. "But Maddie... Maddie reminds me of the part of her that you don't really see anymore--like her core. A strong, vibrant will to live... and a pair of honest, indiscriminate eyes." He jabbed a thumb towards where Maddie was perched. "Before she sent Gergori after me, she used to do the exact same thing."

Manga sighed. "You aren't going to let this go, are you?" Stubborn. Well, if he really wanted to know that badly... She didn't verbally reply; instead, she reached into her money pouch and pulled out a few coins. A gold coin, two silver coins, and a couple of copper ones were held between her gloves fingers in a way that Sebastian could easily count them.

Manga managed to catch the stone in the hand that wasn't holding the coins, putting the money away. She didn't argue; she didn't insist. She quietly put the stone back in the pouch that kept its powers from being wasted on the carrier. "... I should... head downstairs and see if they need any help." She quietly got to her feet, turning towards the door. She was glad that she was wearing her mask still; the surge of anger was too close to her nightmares for her to keep a completely stoic expression. At least with the mask, Sebastian only saw a small frown...

Ca Thu Thi opened her eyes, slightly agitated. Her Chosen was worrying again, but this time the worry had a basis. She nudged Paimon, hoping that maybe he had an answer for Sebastian's sudden anger.
