She smiled, really the only thing that needed completion was the veggies, which where almost done. The only other thing needed to make this meal a whole was something to drink. “Yes, yes you can.” She said with a smile as she turned to the Dominick.

She looked at the almost complete meal, the only other person she ever cooked for was Michael. This felt wrong for a moment, but it was just a simple dinner, It’s not like you are going to sleep with the man or anything.. she said to herself, self-conflict seemed to be her specialty. “All we need is the veggies finished up and beverage.. “ Tina finally finished.

Tina watched as he made the juice. “You know, all wine really is, is juice. “ she said as she finished up the veggies and set the food on the table. “Grapes fermented. How do you think it was made before all this electric technology? “

Once everything was set, she looked at the spread; it was simple, nice, about time too. Tina was beginning to think that there was no hope for her; much less the human race, but coming to Safe Heaven had proven her wrong.

“You know Mr. Norris. I do think I will like it here, I am glad I found this place after all.” She began to pull her chair out from the table in preparation to sit down.

Dominick rolled his eyes. It was just like his ex all over again. "In a survival situation I think the top priority is food and not drink. production is coming back, but it still at too little and cost too much." The man pointed out. There was more beer than wine out there and that cost a pretty penny. The doctor did have a couple of bottles, but he was saving them for a important day.

Tina could tell she had offended the man that was the last thing she wanted to do. The look of guilt came over her face, she wasn’t into drinking, she just assumed that since he mentioned the wine that he was a fan of it, Michael was a fan, she not so much.

“I apologize, Mr. Norris..” The sound of her voice was as if a child who had been scolded. She hoped that she just didn’t lower herself with the simple comment of fact. It was something Michael had always mentioned, he always talked about it. He was a find judge of what most considered the finer things of life.

The woman sat down at the table, her appetite had been lost. She was slightly offended. Of course he didn’t say anything, but it was in his voice, you can always tell what a person thinks by the sound of their voice. There is always a pitch.

After a few moments, she stood. “I hope you enjoy the meal.. I am not hungry, I told you I would make you a dinner for your kindness, so I did.. “ she said with a forced smile. “I think I am going to go for a walk before I retire.. “ and then she was out the door.. She didn’t know why it affected her so much, but it did. The way he looked at her. She couldn’t get it out of her mind. It was much like someone would react to an ex.

Dominick wondered if he said the wrong thing or if she really was upset about the win. The man lost his own need for the meal and just took his drink. He may as well set up his bed. There was no patients for the night so he had his pick of. The man spread a blanket out and got a pillow. To finish off his nightly needs he grabbed a book before laying down and reading.

It was nice outside, which was a good thing considering that she left in nothing but the white dress and shoes. Sighing, she didn’t care at the moment. All she wanted to do was think about what was going on with her.

“What is going on with me, I’ve been here for a day and so far all it’s done is made me mentally unstable.”

She walked at a slow pace, in her own head Wine, if I had a dollar for how many times wine ruined my evenings I’d be rich.. she thought with a laugh, stopping by the bench at the front of the house, she sat down and looked at the stars, her and Michael didn’t really agree on much, but they always managed to meet each other in the middle somehow.

She noticed that some guys were walking up the street… Then she remembered what the doctor had said about the two year rule and about some of the men of the town. Tina didn’t want any drama, so she went back inside.
Upon entering the house again, she noticed that Dominick wasn’t in sight; she looked in the kitchen to see that he didn’t eat either. Sighing, she sat down in the chair. “Great now he seems to think I am a horrid drunk, I don’t even like drinking. Not good for your employer, much less your mentor to think about you.. “

She began to pick up the mess she had made, looking around the kitchen, she found some aluminum foil, covering each plate, she placed them in the fridge, no point in wasiting food that could be saved.. Then there was the cup of juice, sighing she washed the cups and the rest of the dishes she used to cook and put them away to dry. Then after wiping down the counters and table she walked up the stairs.

While she was cleaning she never heard the shower on, nor did she hear him open the door to run up the stairs.

As she ran up the stairs, she ran her fingers through her hair to loosen any tangles that may of occured during drying. Once she reached the room, she was at a dead stop. He was there, she was shocked.. "Oh my god I am so sorry!" she exclaimed before turning around and covering her eyes.

Tina looked behind her as the man was now in his P.Js, she didn’t make it very far, maybe halfway down the stairs before he caught up to her. She stopped and looked at him with a redden face, the only other man she had seen was Michael in his boxers, but never in a towel.

“I’m fine.. Shocked a bit, but I’ll be okay.” She started laughing, which was something she did when in a awkward situation and nerves, it was her defense mechanism. “I’m sorry.. “ she was still laughing, but after a moment it stopped.. “Just think of it as we are even now. You saw me in my towel, now I saw you in yours.”

It was the true, he did see her. The only thing about this situation and the one from earlier was the child.
