Natalia responded to his belly kiss to her own belly kiss. Once she was done with the kiss she went back to the surface to get some air. She wasn't like Kai. She couldn't breath underwater.

((S'okay. We all have derp moments. ^.^ )) As the time for their meeting drew near, Kai had taken to swimming in nervous circles and figure eights around the pool to pass the time. All he could really do was hope he didn't get rejected right off the bat once Natalia's dad took one look at him. Otherwise he felt pretty okay about the rest of the night. It was the first impression that was driving him crazy.

Natalia lead her father to the pool as her boyfriend swam around in many circles and figure eights. "Daddy this is Kai." She told her father about the mermaid. "He wants to be part of our family." She added.

Kai could see them standing by the edge of the pool, and on his return trip to the end of the pool he swam right up to the wall and sheepishly poked his head up from the water. "Um, it's nice to meet you, sir." he said while staring up at the man, the massive difference between being in the pool while being eye level with the man's feet making him seem that much taller and more intimidating. "Natalia hasn't really said much about you, so I admit I didn't really know what to expect..." he said as his tail swayed behind him, his shimmering blue scales catching the light as it occasionally broke the surface of the water.

Natalia pulled her father down closer to the water. It was clear that Natalia got her hair and eye color from him. It was clear that he was a powerful wizard. "You must be Kai." The man commented. It was clear that Natalia at least had told her father about him. "Why should I let my daughter and you live together?" He demanded with a booming voice.

Kai gave a frightened little meep and temporarily hid underwater. "W-Well..." he started once he rose back out of hiding. "...I love her. And she loves me." he said simply, a kind smile lighting his face up once he found some well needed courage. "I love her kids like my own and I want to help her raise them as their father." He thought it'd be a better idea to bring up his own kids after he gave the okay.

By the twitches in the man's face it was clear that he was at least thinking about it. "You know that purebred children are a larger value to a family then half-bred children." He was talking about expanding the family name. "Lucky for you that I have two sons, what I'm asking if for the girls in Natalia to be under my care with their education." The man requested.

"Well, I don't see why not..." Kai cast a nervous glance to Natalia. He didn't want to make any false promises or take away their ability to raise their children the way they wanted to, but he didn't want to ruin his chances in making nice with her dad. "And no half-breeds here! Not an ounce of merfolk in her girls, I promise!" he said with a nervous chuckle.

"I know." The man said bluntly. He hadn't sent his daughter to this school until after she was pregnant. "Good because the girls will be going to the best witch school." The man commented happy that he could at least have some control over his granddaughters.

Kai bit his lip. Future father-in-law or not, he wasn't too keen on the idea of letting him choose things like that for their kids. Of course he'd never say that while the man was around lest he ******** things up for them all. "Right...Is there...anything else you need to know?"
