Kindra and Suunath tag Narisa/Cepheith, Moriath and Tyeth
"The tunnelsnake has been found Mine" Suunath informed Kindra, who was still seating the walking wounded.
"Let me know when it's been killed please Suunath" she asked, and received a rumble of an agreement from the Gold. Closing her eyes for a moment "Suunath love, can you check on N'mol please?" she asked, the knot in her stomach churning and making her feel sick as the injured just kept coming.... shells hadn't they all had enough?
"Tyeth, Mine wishes to know if Yours is unhurt" she asked the bronze before turning her head back towards the jungle. "An unknown Dragon?" her mental voice a snarl and her claws dug into the earth beneath her. She would have said something to Moriath but Cepheith spoke first and through the haze of her fury at a strange dragon being around, she saw the wisdom in the older Gold's words. "Cepheith is right, be careful but do not hold back if you must fight" she sent to Moriath, her instincts kicking in, she MUST defend her unclutched eggs, though she had rose not too long ago, as a Gold she would be carrying and soon she would start getting heavy with eggs.
"If anything happens Suunath... you will STAY HERE" ordered Kindra, worried that her Gold would forget herself and go and hunt this unknown dragon, she was worried for her Gold's safety especially now.
Suunath dug ruts in the earth at the report from Moriath "a Camp has been found" she sent to Kindra, who clutched at the cloth in her hand she'd been using to wipe soot from a man's face. "Tell them to be careful... we must capture them if there is a human... the Weyr will want answers" she told Suuanth who passed the message along.
"Mine says to capture any humans you find" she sent to Moriath, anger clear in her 'voice' as she dig deep ruts in the earth, it did soothe her just a little that Cepheith was just as furious as she was but she was NOT happy, she wanted to hunt felines, she wanted to vent her anger but she had to stay.

Asoth tag Cepheith, Moriath
Asoth halted the instant the Crimson called for them to stop, his wings flared involuntary until Moriath spoke again. He listened and passed the message onto M'lan "Be careful Asoth... we don't know who this human is" he sent and Asoth repressed a snort.
"I come Moriath" he told the crimson, moving as carefully as he could, keeping his tail lifted slightly and carefully placing each foot so that he would be as silent as possible.
[Moriath – Tag Asoth/the rest of the group, tag Sunnath]
Moriath replied grimly as she stalked carefully towards the camp. She couldn't afford to wait and see if everybody had caught up; it was only a matter of time before they were spotted... and Asoth had smelled an unfamiliar dragon. It seemed too much of a coincidence to her; the dragon smell had to be connected to the camp, the man. If he was the dragon’s rider he could make a very swift getaway indeed.
she added to Asoth and the rest of her little group. she added, she sent the image around again, will be displeased if anyone fails to report something that turns out to be important.>

??? and ??? [Tag Group A B... CAMP GROUP idek la la la~ ]
It was dark. He liked the dark. It didn't burn his eyes like daylight did. Didn't hurt him. Cause pain. It was... nice. And the only time he'd ever agree to come out willingly. Or at least, he thought it was willingly. Maybe he'd never been outside before? But how would he have such vivid images of starry nights like this, if he'd never been outside? It didn't make sense! But nothing ever made sense. Except the pain. And aches. And that brief sense of 'love' and 'companionship' he knew was not his mind but another's, flittering away so quickly Valik was not sure if it ever happened to begin with. But he knew it was Raith. His Raith.
Why had they come here again? Where was here? Trine. That ghostly whisper encased his mind like a gentle kiss before disappearing completely. Trine. Trine... oh yes! A Weyr. The Weyr She'd told him to relocate that beast. Tunnelsnake. Yes, that's what it had been! She - his Angel - had asked it of him. Well, asked in that way she did. With threats of beatings and pain but with that gentle voice and face. The only music he ever heard these days. Terene...
Valik shuddered, pulling the ragged cloak closer around him and the hood farther down his face. The camp was grim and chilly. Small. Like the cave... At least I can breathe fresh air this night. He thought absently, wishing he could light a fire. He was too frail to produce enough body heat on his own. And the rags he wore didn't trap any heat. But to light a fire... oh no. No no no! He could not. Or he would be discovered before his task was complete! And then She would be upset. And... Keller...
Someone approaches. Raith snarled in his low neutral tone. Any mention of That Man got under his hide. Movement had caught his attention. The searchers. It was merely a few quick strides away and he was in the air, nothing but a part of the scenery above, providing Eyes for hisValik... and the Terrible Men. His form blended in so perfectly with the night sky. A shadow that hung over their camp with a chilly air. Trained for stealth and silence, the 'shadow' dragon circled like a ghostly breeze high above.
No! No they couldn't be coming! Raith had to be wrong. But... Raith was never wrong. Shaffit! The scarred rider painfully got to his feet after a firm urging from Raith. Limping as quickly as his body allowed, the hunched man gathered up the small pack of stale food and water he'd been allowed, hand curled in a deathly grip around his sorry excuse for a cane. But it at least allowed him to move 'easier'.
... We could let them fi-
NO! F-Faranth no, my gem. T-They... would do far worse to us. Far far worse. As he'd had beaten into his mind time and time again. W... W-We must... must re-r-
Enough stuttering, you begreened wherry! I understand. His idiot rider would wait. And pray he was not captured. And he would not allow it! With teeth and talon if necessary. He would do to them what he dearly wanted to do to those that had broken his Valik.

Hekate and Devith Moving to Join group B
I don't like this Devith~ Hekate murmered low in her dragon's mind. She'd stayed behind with the rest of the group at the party to help keep the others calm, but when a separate group moved to track the felines into the jungle she simply couldn't stay behind. As such dusky silver and his red haired rider had slipped quietly off into the jungle following the tracks of the other party.
I would never allow harm to come to you from such beasts Mine. Devith assured her where the two stalked through the thick jungle. While Devith had a touch more difficulty then Hekate who called such places home his rider's constant insistence on entering the tree line had given the silver plenty of practice in such places.
That's not what I'm worried about Devith. This isn't like felines. They'd never so openly attack a Weyr. They're much smarter then that. She mused lifting one hand to gently touch the clip that held her hair that wore the very shape of the creatures they were hunting. It's emerald jeweled eyes glinting in the moonlight as it sat among her blood red strands.
Perhaps Hekate wasn't a wingleader, but if there was one thing she knew about. It was the deep jungle.

N'mol Group A
N'mol had put his back into the work of putting out the fires that had been set in Trine, hauling water buckets and buckets of sand and throwing them on the fire. There was some scrambling, but many of those working managed to form a good team and it didn't take too long to put them out. Long enough for buildings to burn beyond repair, but not enough that the whole weyr went up. Little blessings had to be counted at times like these.
When D'lin, Cetalese, Roscoe and the others finished with the fire and heard about the tunnelsnake, they redirected their attention there and began the search for information-- and the tunnelsnake. N'mol had grown up with the creatures. He knew what kind of havoc they could wreak on a weyr populace if left unchecked. And now so did Trine, unfortunately.
He kept himself conscious of his surroundings as he turned over the problems they were now facing in his mind, so Roscoe's shout drew his attention. He quickly abandoned the area he was searching and saw others do the same as they converged on his friend.
N'mol peeked into the cave and sighed faintly when he heard a wherhandler bossing people out of the way because she couldn't keep her wher under control. He stepped aside, however, knowing that if a handler said the wher didn't care-- it likely didn't. His jaw clenched briefly at the thought of Dinah, and then he looked to Roscoe.
"Nice catch. I'm glad you held on to that chair leg," he pointed at Roscoe's makeshift weapon with a faint smile. Two whers would be a big help against a tunnelsnake, which pleased N'mol. He had no weapon of his own on him at the moment, something he would rectify the next time he had the chance to order a belt knife. He turned to see who had come to join Siata and her Bronze and swept his eyes across the Gold and her handler from earlier. He nodded to them, then glanced back to Siata before looking to D'lin. He'd let the Trine Wingleader continue giving orders. He had never had trouble following the more experienced.
Suunath's requests an update on your status, N'molmine. She wishes to know if you are well.
Tell Kindra I'm fine. I'm with Roscoe at the cave where the tunnelsnake has holed up. We have plenty of people here to take care of it, assuming that most have weapons. We have whers with us as well, which will make this less dangerous. Tell Kindra not to worry.
Do not get your head ripped off when there are whers who are more able to take a hit, N'mol.
I'll keep out of the way if I can. I don't have a weapon. We're probably going to end up with wounded, but hopefully no one will be killed. Is everything all right over there?
It is fine. Focus on your own troubles. I am handling things here.
For a while Tanya milled about in the masses, scared and at loose ends. However, once victims began coming in one of the kitchen women got hold of her and she was put to work helping to set up areas for any wounded that might return. Frequently while she was working she would look around to see if any riders or weyrfolk she knew were coming in, but saw no one.
Although she wanted to help however she could, Tanya wasn't sure she could handle seeing any of the more greivously wounded, assuming they had been brought here instead of to the Infirmary. Oh. Had the infirmary burned down, too? That would be awful.
Yet, in the end, she was drafted for healing duty and she went to it with single-minded focus when pushed-- no, literally, pushed toward the injured. She put a smile on rather than worrying about how she could have stepped on them and knelt beside her first patient to see what she could do (if anything) for them.
"Relax, you're back in safety now," Tanya soothed, trying to keep her eyes on the man's face. She beamed at him. "Let's see about getting you patched up now."
Blood. And a lot of it, too. Tanya swallowed, but her smile stayed on her face as she got to work peeling the man's clothing away from the gashes. "We'll have you fixed up in no time. These aren't so bad. I have to say, I'm sure this isn't what anyone was expecting from today when we were supposed to be having a celebration." Tanya picked up a needle and thread and smeared a meager amount of numbweeb on the worst of the wounds so she could stitch them shut. Her hand was going to go numb if she waited too long, however, so she was glad that she hadn't used her dominant hand. "This is going to hurt, even with the numbweed setting in. I'm sorry. Try to hold on." She swallowed and then started the first stitch; she didn't notice the remaining blood drain from the man's face, and likely good for her as well. She picked up chatting where she had left off as she pushed the needle through his skin. "The party seems to have been spared from any trouble, though, so you don't have to worry about anything coming here. Whatever attacked at the weyr fled and dragons are hunting it down right now. I heard they got the fires under control as well."
"Please stop talking," the man grated out from between clenched teeth. The muscles in his jaw and neck stood out starkly, his skin white with pain, though the numbweed had now dulled the pain from his wounds and the needle. Tanya paused in the middle of tying off the thread and looked at him, gray eyes wide with surprise and faint fear. "I... appreciate the attempt, but stop."
Tanya smiled apologetically, feeling a flush rising to her cheeks. She concentrated on tying off the thread and quickly bandaging the wound. It wasn't perfect, but it would do until a real healer could see to him. "Sorry. I'm almost done. I'll let you sit in peace while I go help someone else." She finished her work and patted the man on his shoulder before she rose and moved on to help someone else with their patient.

Cetalese Group A
She knew D'lin likely wasn't entirely happy that after putting out the fires she had decided to follow him to help with the tunnelsnake, but Cetalese wasn't going to go back to the party now and leave him out here. She had ash in her dark hair from when the wind had blown in her direction and her hands, though she had scrubbed them on her pants, were still faintly stained with dirt.
She stayed at D'lin's side when the group separated to better search for the tunnelsnake, knowing that it was as much her affection for him that caused her to be his partner as it was the common sense notion that a pair stood a better chance of getting help if something happened than a single person did.
They hadn't been walking for long before a distant voice drew Cetalese's attention. "D'lin," she said, taking his bicep in her hand to stop their forward progress. She turned toward the sound of the yells, trying to pick out words. "I think they found something. Come on."
She pulled him slightly and then jogged back toward the shouting, hoping that whoever had discovered the snake had had the common sense to get away from it before shouting.
Tyeth briefly turned his attention to Suunath. As a Bronze, he had stayed to guard the party and the Golds in the event that this was all a diversion to take the dragons away from protecting the majority of the weyr. He kept his eyes trained on the jungle, alert to dangers, and also checked those humans that passed closer to him than to Calanoth or other dragons. With so much going on, he could only take a brief moment to give Suunath his undivided, intense attention.
We are touched at your rider's concern for N'mol, Suunath. He is well and with the group that has discovered the tunnelsnake. He tells Yours not to worry; there are more than enough of them to kill it. Tyeth chose to leave out the 'but not without injury' part and he inclined his head to Suunath before swiftly whipping it back around to stare intently at a small group hurrying past him, inhaling deeply as if to seek out the scent of tunnelsnake or deception.

D'lin Group A
Did he want Ceta on the trail of a dangerous animal? Of course not..but he'd taken one look at her determined, rather soot stained face and known better then to try and argue with her. Besides..she fought thread with him and had fought to protect Trine with him before, surely there was a great deal more danger in those two deeds then in facing one tunnelsnake with a veritable mob of people who were unlikely to be in a good temper after having the party disturbed and seeing their hard work go up in ashes. Literally.
It was Ceta's hand on his arm that brought him out of his thoughts and pausing he listened to the distant calls for a second "I think your right." Jogging after her they quickly joined the group and he nodded to N'mol and several of the other's as they did so. The sight of the pushy gold Wher made him purse his lips lightly and Plexith, catching wind of it in his mind bristled but D'lin remained silent knowing they would likely be glad for her when they got to fighting the snake.
"Who found it? Whats the cave like? Large enough in there to fight or will we have to draw it out?"

Roscoe Group A
Roscoe was glad when the searchers joined him at the cave mouth, he had spent a few worried moments imagining the snake bolting out of the cave, eating his face and tearing off back into the Weyr. He didn't even notice he was gripping the makeshift club tightly in his hand until N'mol's voice pointed it out to him and he glanced at it before offering a faint smile. "Yeah, though I expect the Whers teeth and claws will be a bit better then my club."
When someone asked about the cave, Roscoe tried to recall the details. "It's dark and wet but the tunnelsnakes caught in a dead end..might be room enough for a few people or a Wher or two but it's a cave.... so it will be tight. It seems scared though so I expect if we drew it out it would try to run."

Jordan Group C
When the group split up to follow Z'fer's orders, Jordan followed Felix and let Kala and Talakor stay as a team. They seemed used to it anyway, and Jordan added 'Was that always the way or is that a result of the revolution?' to his list of questions to puzzle out later. He and Felix set about clearing food off of some of the tables so that it could be converted into either a make-shift surgery table or a place for healers (and make-shift healers) to pile supplies-- a few meager pots of half-used numbweed, some needles and thread some of the incoming people had brought with them, and a steadily growing pile of bandages made from sliced-up table cloths.
Jordan eyed the pile, wondering if it would be enough and hoping that it would be (though he wasn't expecting it to be).
"I think that's all we can do for the moment," Jordan commented as he saw a goodly amount of people converge on the first batch of injured that were being dropped off by dragon. He looked toward the weyr and thought he saw other shadows coming toward them, but he couldn't be certain; the torches in the area were throwing off his night vision beyond the perimeter of the party.
GROUP A The Tunnel Snake was massive, it’s back against the wall and a gathering crowd of ill-intending enemies at the mouth of the cave. The cave itself was a medium sized thing, enough for a group of people but not enough for the adult dragons to enter – they could cram their arms in and fish if they wanted but one does not put one’s hand down the snake hole without getting bitten.
Its coils snaked along as it turned, claws digging into the shallow depression of the crevice, eyes flashing in the minimal light reflected from the water outside. With no torches or glows evident, keeping an eye on it will be difficult. Pausing, it seemed to gather itself and with a hissing roar, lashed out at the nearest humans.
COMBAT WITH THE TUNNEL SNAKE Location: The cave is NOT big enough for dragons to get in. It is also confined. Expect to take heavy damage. No one mentioned bringing a torch or a glow or other light thing so visibility will be reduced.
Note: Each post can have ONLY ONE (1) action in it, per character.
MAP
Humans
HP: 30
Abilities Distract: this ability interrupts the Tunnel Snake in some fashion (kicking sand, throwing rocks, etc) and draws its attention to the user. The Snake will focus on the person using the ability for one round. This can only be used once. The Tunnel Snake must roll at least a 4 on 1d6 to resist fixating. Attack: humans can use whatever means available (knives, rocks, sharp shells, environmental factors, etc) to harm the Tunnel Snake. Humans Deal 1d6+1 damage (regardless of weapons). Dodge: an evasive maneouver, but is difficult in the cave. Roll 1d6, if the number is higher then the incoming damage, you take half damage. If you roll a 6, you evade the attack completely.
Dragons
HP: 60
Abilities Grasp: this is a reach-in and grab movement from your place at the entrance of the cave. Digging talons into flesh, grasping a limb, etc, this attack temporarily immobilizes the Tunnel Snake and damages it. Deals 1d8+2 damage. Roar: this stuns the Tunnel Snake AND 4 humans for 1 turn. Those stunned are randomized.
Tunnel Snake
HP: 110
Boss Abilities Crush: this is a rushing motion that bowls over the target and pins them beneath its body, immobilizing the target. The Tunnel Snake is large enough to pin 2 characters and still attack. Being pinned makes the target unable to act for 1 turn. Must roll 4 or higher on 1d6. Snap: the target becomes the recipient of a toothed bite. Deals significant damage: 1d6+4 Claw: a swiping motion of the claws, limited reach and deals 1d6 -1 damage. Counter-Grasp: this thrashing motion happens if/when the snake is grasped and deals 1d6 damage to the dragon and 4 damage three random enemies. If the roll is 6, the damage is doubled and the dragon takes serious injury to the hand or face (whichever is used) and cannot grasp again for the encounter. Multi-strike: a passive ability, the snake’s size and intelligence allows it to combat up to 4 people at once, responding and/or attacking them.
GROUP B The man had been spotted and he was hobbling away, the first time any of the dragons or humans with Moriath had caught a glimpse of the infamous Blue Rider, Keller’s go-to man for swift and secret transport. The scent became all too familiar to the ones that had been present the day the revolution began and Archimonde had been whisked away to safety by the dragon they’d all come to loathe.
His identity known, it was either fight or flight for the blue rider.
However, the blue above had the upper hand and the choice to attack. The Resistance was closing in and there was no telling what would happen.
Note: Each post can have ONLY ONE (1) action in it, per character.
KYRIE-ONLY Roll 1d20: Roll higher than 9 to succeed one free action before everyone else can respond. Roll less and your surprise element is gone as someone notices the Blue Dragon. Surprise Attack: a diving or strafing motion tearing at the dragons on the ground. The surprise catches them unawares and deals 2d6+3 damage to the dragons hit. Can only be used if surprise roll succeeds.
Blue Raith HP: 60
Abilities Attack: with tooth and talon, the blue attacks and his attacks hit harder then usual because of his time with the Wherhandlers. Deals 2d4+2 damage Agility: High agility means this dragon takes 1d4+1 less damage from incoming attacks. Dodge: Roll 2d4+2, if the total is higher than or equal to the incoming attack, the attack misses. If the dodge fails, Agility can be used immediately after the failed Dodge to minimize damage. (roll 4d4; first 3 = dodge total, last 1d4 = damage reduction)
SPECIAL ACTION: Roll 1d20, roll higher than 8 to use Escape. Escape: this trump card interrupts any action and the dragon uses his masterful command of teleporting to grab his rider and disappear Between to safety. Can only be used once, automatically succeeds. Surrender: this allows the dragon to surrender on behalf of the pair, submitting them both to the authority of the Trine Resistance. No further damage is allowed. Does not need a Special Action Roll
Bluerider Valik HP: 25 Evade Capture: roll 1d20 when someone tries to Capture Rider. Attack: through fist or weapon, the individual attacks a target. Deals 1d4 damage. There is no damage reduction.
PLAYERS Dragons
HP: 50
Abilities Attack: with tooth and talon, attacking to bring the blue down. Deals 2d4 damage. Dodge: attempts to dodge the incoming attack, roll 1d10 and if the result is higher than Raith’s attack roll, the attack misses. There is no damage reduction.
Humans
HP: 25
Capture Rider: roll 1d20 for this. If the result is higher then ‘s Evade Capture Roll, then he is captured. Useable only once every 3 posts (of your own characters) Attack: through fist or weapon, the individual attacks a target. Deals 1d4 damage. There is no damage reduction.
NOTES Dragons CANNOT but Humans CAN attack Valik but remember Blue Raith has a get-out-jail-free card. You’ve been ordered to capture him, not have him escape. Whether he gets captured is in part up to Kyrie and in part up to the dice.
The cave, sadly, wasn't big enough to fit dragons. Drawing his belt knife Carltis advanced grimly, behind his fearless leaders of course. He wasn't stupid.
Caution turned out to be warranted when the massive beast's eyes flashed and then with a sibilant snarl threw itself at the nearest humans. He saw its fangs and claws flash, its massive body pin down the idiot wingleader... and you couldn't be safe forever if you didn't want to look like a total tit.
With a battle cry of; "I did not sign up for this s**t!" Carltis lunged at the tunnelsnake with his belt knife, wishing he had something bigger at his disposal. Like a flamethrower.
