"Yes. Moonday." She eyeballed Alex for a minute before stepping off the pad and returning to booth duties. It would take Alex time she was sure, but in the end her efforts just seemed fruitless half the time. It was frustrating. Maybe its because she had never experienced heart break before. Who knows.

Mort was totally still there despite college and was also totally not surprised to hear Mei was still reigning DDD champ - nor did he believe that deadpan expression of Alex's was just from boredom. But he only managed a chuckle at his new title and added in, "M'already gonna be council b***h anyway," before the two went for to a dance-off, which . . . ended about the same way he figured. Only a tad more colder than he expected.
Mrrr. Alright, Alex had been in this funk for a long while now - it was time to try and snap him out of it by means other than just appealing to the emotional state, which . . . Mort wasn't exactly great at anyway. Not in public at least. Mei he also couldn't help but wonder about, though he'd have to approach her later; one person at a time for Mr. Fix It!
"No third round?" he asked with a quizzical look as he approached Alex, shooting the ghoul one was well as she made her way back behind the booth. "Mrrr . . . Alright. Walk with me then since have free time."

Okay, he could tell now that Mei was upset with him, and that just made him feel worse. He wasn't trying to be a complete a** or a downer, but it just kept happening despite anything he tried to do to stop it. "Or, you know, any day that works best for you?" He was making an effort. Really, he was. This whole festival had just become much too overwhelming on the feelings scale, but he knew if he could just get through it, then maybe after that things would start to get better. Maybe. Still he knew he had probably upset her, and with a sigh he turned and gave his attention to Mort. At least this was one friendship he hadn't managed to screw up yet. "Nah, this is the fourth round we've played. We pretty much tied each time until now." He pursed his lips, arms crossing over his chest. That last round had been closer then anybody else might have realized. One missed step had cost him a sweet combo score. "Ya sure, lets get out of here. Uh..." Oh right, his mother was still wanting to hang out a bit before she left as well! "Mom, I'll be back in a few minutes, okay? Or if you want we can meet you over at Mort's booth in like..thirty minutes?" His mom, who had been watching everything with a very carefully blank expression nodded. "Thirty minutes then. You boils have fun." She waved them off, seemingly not at all put out that Alex hadn't even bothered to introduce her to his friend, and went back to whatever it was she was doing. "Alright, lets get out of here."

She turned quickly on her heels as another challenger stepped forward. A pleasant smile on her lips as she recognized Frost. While they hadn't really talked she had seen him around the campus and in some school activities however. "Of course!" The ghoul needed a quick distraction from the current situation. But it had seemed Alex and Mort had wandered off anyhow so she had merely been left to her thoughts. Making her way to the machine, she hopped onto one of the pads waiting for Frost to join her. She would dance her cares away. "Best two out of three~"

"Good luck!" As the music began she danced. And danced and danced. Forgetting about recent stuff as she concentrated on the game more than other current dramaish things going on. When the scores popped up she smiled. "Ah well. First round is usually just good for a warm up. Time for round two!"Score: 30

A loss was not the worst thing to him, he'd suffered worse. Plus.. electronic game... he wasn't very good at it. In general he broke things. "Ah, this style of dance is most.. unusual." Score: 28

"Its not so much dance as it is dealing with a lot of coordination." She replied. When the scores popped up she raised an eyebrow. They had tied. "Huh, well look at that." Placing her hands on her hips she shook her head. Great now cause of Alex she would be tying with everyone. "Alright, next round is the ultimate tie breaker!"Score: 28

Well the tie had just made her even more determined. She needed to keep her winning streak. It had become quite the personal little goal. Letting out a long breath, she laughed excitedly as the scores popped up. "Ahhh too bad! You did pretty good though."Reaching behind the counter she picked out a blue star and placed it in his hand. "Here you tried at least and that's what matters. Feel free to come back again." With a smile, she turned from the machine. Taking her place behind the booth with a satisfied look on her face.
