Chad couldn’t help but role his eyes at how easily Selphie seemed to be deterred from the battle. Chad was pretty sure that Kadaj was thinking the same thing since Selphie seemed like the kind of woman that was taking that comment about if Kadaj was straight way too seriously. Clearly she didn’t get to get on the dating scene too much, which was kind of strange in a way. Maybe she’d had a boyfriend for a long time and just forgot what it was like to be hit on by other guys? “Alright then, I guess I can ignore that for now. You guys can worry about what to say to each other after the battle.” Chad snickered before listening to Selphie casting commands for her Pokémon to obey.
Chad watched as her Pidgey used Quick Attack made contact with Pepper. It seemed like a clean hit, but luckily, Pepper was still standing and now using Flamethrower. “Well, that seems like something that could be countered.” Chad laughed before turning back to his own battle. He could see Deino racing and then jumping into the air, preparing to use a Body Slam no doubt. “Alright then Sketch, use your Dragon Pulse into the air and knock Deino out of it!”
Sketch’s tail glowed a dark blue color before a pulse of energy that was shaped in a ring came out from it and threw itself at the Deino in the air. ‘Okay, so dodging might not be an option since Deino isn't able to maneuver while he’s in the air. I guess the only thing I can do at this point is just hope for my outcome.’ Chad gritted his teeth and watched as the ring of energy came forth and raced forward towards the Pokémon Deino. Hopefully it would do some serious damage since Deino was a dragon type.

There seemed to be like a lot of thing happening, but when he thought about it, Kadaj kind of knew that this battle was coming to a close, or at least he hoped it was because he didn’t like battling for long amounts of time unless it meant that he would be winning in the end, but with his battle against Nincada, it was a different story. “Keh-Heh, dude you got it.” Kadaj decided that Chad was right. Even though Kadaj had managed to find something that could make Selphie lose her concentration, he didn’t want to exploit it since this was only training.
Kadaj watched as the Pidgey made a daring move and used Agility before speeding behind Torchic. That Pidgey’s speed was grand, no doubt, but Kadaj had thought about a plan well in advance. “Alright, use Fire-Spin now Pepper!” His Pokémon gave him a quick nod before spinning around in circles as it spewed a flame forth from its mouth. The flame moved around Torchic, waiting for the Pidgey to run into it before getting caught in a powerful fire-spin technique. If this worked, then Selphie’s Pidgey wouldn’t be able to slow down in time to avoid the attack and its turn would be too late before it was caught on the ring of fire that was dancing around Pepper now.
With that done, Kadaj turned his attention back to Chad to see how he was handling Deino. It seemed like he was on the path to winning to, although Deino had just managed to take on a Dragon Pulse and was still on the warpath to land a powerful Body Slam on Sketch. The fact that Sketch had taken a dragon pulse attack as well just a few moments earlier didn’t do anything to make Kadaj believe that Sketch was going to get out of this one unharmed.

Selphie looked at the problem with Torchic as an opportunity to think of an option as to escape. However, since Pidgey was inexperienced, it wasn’t able to pull away from the fire spin and was caught inside of it, causing it to chirp both in fear and pain. “Oh no, return Pidgey!” Selphie withdrew her Pidgey before it could suffer from anymore damage. Once she did, she nodded to Kadaj and declared him the winner of their battle. “Congrats Kadaj, you proved to me that you’re able to communicate with your Pokémon. You too Chad, you did well with Smeargle. He just needs to learn a few more moves and then nothing can come in your way.” Selphie signaled for her two Pokémon to come back up to her, which they did willingly.
Deino stood by her side while Pidgey perched itself on her shoulder. “Kadaj, let’s have our Pokémon meet. Chad, I was thinking, maybe you should let your Pokémon out too so that they can show each other that there was no ill feelings after the battle. I withdrew Pidgey because it would’ve been faster than telling Kadaj to just stop the fire storm. It works either way.”
Pidgey began to tweet happily, back to its bubbly personality now that the battle was over. “Pidgey you did wonderful. I only hope that Kadaj’s Torchic and Chad’s Smeargle will feel no resentment for the battle, otherwise that could be a problem.” Selphie looked at Torchic and gave it a friendly smile. “Your fire attacks were really strong! Keep it up and you’ll evolve in no time.” Selphie sighed as she thought about all the battles they would have in the future. One of the greatest joys of being a trainer was watching a Pokémon develop and grow to be something more.

Chad looked at the ending of the battle between Kadaj and Selphie. It seemed pretty neat that Kadaj was finally able to pull off a victory, even if it was just a practice or training kind of thing. It made their scores pretty much tied now in terms of how many victories and losses. Chad didn’t count his thing with Serah becase she ended up leaving before the battle was over. It would’ve been easy to say he had won that thing, but then he would’ve kind of felt like he was lying. “Way to go Kadaj!” Chad wanted to run up and plant one on Kadaj, but he held himself back for the sake of Kadaj not even knowing that Chad loved him. “Alright, so you finally won one!” Chad turned to Selphie, eager to see what her evaluations were on Kadaj’s performance, although she seemed somewhat happy with how he handled that.
Chad released his Pokémon Smeargle and Nincada just as Selphie suggested it and surely enough, Sketch walked straight up to Deino and began talking, probably about the battle because Sketch seemed rather interested and invested into the conversation. Nincada crawled up Chad’s leg then back until he was on his shoulder. He then looked at Pidgey, slightly scared that it was just going to swoop in and eat him for dinner. “Nincada, why are you always scared of other Pokémon?” Chad recalled that Nincada wasn’t too scared of Poochyena, but that was probably because Nincada had already beaten the dog in battle. “Oh you’re right Kadaj, I don’t want to get stuck in the wilderness like last time. Come with us Selphie, I’ll lead the way!”
Chad began walking, hoping to get out of town before the people started waking up and making the streets impossible to maneuver through.
As he started walking, he made sure to withdraw his Pokémon so that they wouldn’t get lost.

Rex walked into Vormund City with Techno on his shoulder still. "Now where is that Pokemon Center" He looks at Techno who seemed to have doze off on his shoulder. Rex returned Techno to his pokeball and put it in his coat pocket. He turned a corner and came to the Pokecenter. The a gust of wind blew and his coat and hair went to one side for a moment til it settled down.

He walked into the Pokecenter and gave the nurse Techno's Pokeball. He told them thank you as they went to go get Techno back to full health. The morning sun shined through the windows of the center revealing the phone area. Rex walked over to one of the phones and started to dial his mother.

The phone picked up and a woman with white hair and blue eyes answered the phone. "Rex! how have you been son? are you doing well? hows the Coria region? Catch anything yet?" Rex smiled "I am doing good mom. It was a long trip to get here i didn't expect it to take so long. I did catch a pokemon a Elekid" On the phone screen a Plusle and a Minun jumpped onto Rex's mom shoulder. The two wave Rex and Rex waves back "I see my two first catches are getting along with you" Rex's mother nuzzled the two and smiled back at Rex "yes they have been getting into some trouble with me but they are helpful and so it....Eh!?" His mother gets wrapped around by a Serperior "By the way guess who finally evolved after you left for Vermilion City" Rex laughed some "I see my Servine finally evolved. wish i could of brought her with me but i wanted to start over here." The Nurse then called for him since Elekid was fully back to health. "I have to go now mom i will you again when i get to the next town."

They both hung up and Rex walked over to the counter and Techno was out of his pokeball eating a treat. "Come on you lets go look around this place" He put Techno on his shoulder and they both walked out of the PokeCenter

Rex turns his head as the man sat down next to him. He noticed the wolf ears on top of his head. When the man mentioned his name as Sol. "Yes it is pretty impressive just like Fortree city" Techno was off near some water spouts that shot streams of water in arcs. "So is there something i can help you with Mr. Sol?" He says as he starts to look through his music player that shows his DJ symbol on it. "Usaully people that come up to me ask for CD or a signature head phones i wear." He found a song and it started to play through his headphones that were around his neck.
