"Falling star strike!"

This was Tseng jumping up and punching down at the barrier.

He couldn't get as angry as he needed to be to shift the blame, couldn't harness the rage that powered him, he sighed shallowly. There was no point taking it out on this huntress, especially when she was so respectful of him in his current very fragile emotional state. Anger wasn't what Killzone would have wanted.

He had to be strong, and he didn't need to do it alone.

"Thanks. Yeah. I guess I could use a bit of backup. No weapon and s**t."

He hugged the jacket wrapped tablet like a most precious treasure, there would not be a repeat of Julie while he still lived. He eyed the barrier around them and immediately found something new to worry about. Moons. Ace. He couldn't think about it. He couldn't or he'd freeze.

"I..what happens when they break through? "

Hazel looked back at the other Moonies with concern. That was a legit question, he asked. What happens if they did break through? Was she supposed to be back there standing in line? What happens to all the hunters if we failed? No. Even if there were a swarm of those monsters plaguing them, they shouldn't give up. They couldn't.

She looked back at him with her sincere doe-eyes, "They won't." Hazel paused in thought, "We Moonies are a strong bunch." She gave him an optimistic smile. "And... I-If they do, we will never let them leave without a fight."

With a yelp and a start, Thackery tumbled backward, gaze fixated on the Hunter with an expression that was the epitome of but WHY?

"I-I just--" His voice faltered. "...wanted to help someone...!"

There was something in Yin's voice that made him take pause, made him turn his head and settle his pale grey eyes on his bonded. "Yes. Together. I'm not leaving here without you. I refuse to leave here without you." hopefully that settled it. If for whatever reason Yin actually thought that he was protecting Alex by forcing him to go back on his own....

But no, Yin was saying they could leave together. That was good, and that made him relax ever so slightly as some excess tension removed itself. But Alexander alone knew that he meant what he had just said. His zombie stubbornness would make sure that he would not depart Yin's side now except by perhaps some magical, unstoppable force.

Finally he let some of the emotions that he'd been desperately trying, and ultimately failing to keep pent up show on his face. The pain, the regret, the worry. He was wholly convinced that an unlife without Yin would do him more harm then good, no matter the circumstances. Did Yin honestly believe for a second that Alex would have just given up and moved on without him? The thought alone made him feel sick to his stomach.

He reached up and grabbed for just one last shard.

"I just want to go home." he muttered, mostly to himself.

Danny threw fireballs at the barrier. Damn wizards of hogwarts hunters.

This queen damned hunter had run from her! While they were engaged into the fight something went terribly wrong near the portal: looks like hunters did get the reinforcement, and now barrier was even stronger. For a moment Eisheth wondered why actually so many hunters are defending it: looks like it was a wise decision to stay here, after all, they were actually defending it more carefully than the main headquarters. But why? Wouldn't it be good idea to leave the portal unguarded and join the forces at the main gate motivating students and horsemen to get back home as soon as possible? They could attempt to seal the portal later... Unless... Unless it was all a big trap, and the hunters were actually trying to keep the invaders on the island cutting their way back, - trying so hard they can give up half of their base risking for a bigger prize.

The alchemist looked around seeking somebody to share this thought, and noticed a strange shard, a part of the Force Medea has unleashed. The shard was quickly absorbed in her body making her feel a bit better.
