Araima looked at Gale, noticing the signal. She knew what it meant right off. She looked away nervously. She swore by the end of all this, she would be a mess. She nodded slowly.
Ellis had also seen the signal, and placed a hand on Irana's shoulder.

Araima and Irana looked at each other and laughed nervously. Araima had the feeling she should sit down too. She looked at Gale then back. "Don't apologize, because he's telling to truth." she said. Looking at them, she froze, losing her nerve.
Ellis took the initiative from there and pulled off the silly straw hat, placing it on Araima's head. "I told you by the end of the day you could have this." he chuckled. He looked at Gale's parent's seriously. "Let's not call your son crazy just yet." he said.
He knew very well how obvious his ears were. This would cause them to notice the oddities in their appearance as well. Irana followed her husband's lead and pushed her hair behind her ear. Araima did gratefully as well.

Araima held the straw hat in and tight grip. Well, at least Angela took it alright considering. But she wondered at Ryan's silence.
"So, I'm sure you have questions. Worries? Feel free to ask anything you want." Ellis stated, sitting beside his wife.

Araima frowned. She didn't like that at all. She loved Gale and would never force anything on him. This was insulting that Ryan should suspect otherwise. Yet, her mother chuckled at this. She didn't see how this was a laughing matter.
"Well, if Araima had Gale eat something that is able to make him fall madly in love with her, and I assure there is not such thing, then she must have eat it as well. I didn't put two and two together till recently. But after seeing the two of them together, suddenly the daily trips to the Orchard since childhood, her overjoyed attitude a couple of months ago and her expectations the last 6 months make complete sense." Irana pointed out.
Araima blushed deeply with embarrassment. She was that obvious?

"Thank you." she said graciously to Ryan. She mouthed a thank you to her mother.
She chuckled when Angela come over to feel her ear. She saw now where Gale got that child-like quality. "I'm glad you think so." she said, letting the woman touch them for a moment.
Ellis parked himself in the empty seat beside Ryan. "My daughter is wanting to stay with Gale here for awhile" he said quietly. "I trust you'll make sure she's safe? I'm sure but you and Gale can do that for me?" he asked. It was one thing to watch his daughter leave to visit relative in his world. It was another to leave her here in this one.

Ellis clasped the hand with a nod. "If anything, I'm impressed with the dedication. From both. I hadn't expected it to be a human, but... I suppose I'm glad it's Gale she's with.

Irana smiled. "Oh just an herbal lotion I mix up myself. I could bring you some next time I come by if you want." she suggested. "Oh. Which reminds me. I brought a good will present." She put the basket on the table, opening it. "Help yourselves."

Ellis smirked. "Of course. It's a miracle that your son even found a doorway. Their made to change and usually block those with bad intent." he said. "Depending on how well negotiations go, you might actually get to see them. That is... if my Irana has her way." he mumbled.

"Of course!" Irana said to Angela. "And I can bring a few thing as well so you can help me make pastries. Perhaps we can substitute a few of the ingredients..." she trailed off thoughtfully. Pastries were her forte. She took great pride in them.
"Now I have some question about a certain something that might be coming up soon." she said vaguely, looking at Gale pointedly. She was hoping that he would tell them they were getting married soon. Irana was eager to discuss a wedding.

Araima was just watching everyone in the room, her hand in Gale's. She did glance at Gale when her mother looked his way. It wasn't hard to tell what she wanted. It was written on her face.
"I think she want you to tell them about the engagement." she whispered to him anyway.
