Mei nodded when Danny spoke of her own name. "Correct!" When Tybalt didn't give his name, Mei only smiled and jabbed her thumb over at him. "The cranky one, is Tybalt." Looking back to Tybalt, Mei folded her arms again. "You two aren't fighting again, are you? I swear..you argue more than a married couple."
Snickering, she watched Remi taunt the black dog more, and even lower himself to his level to get back at him. Why hadn't she met this boil before? He was priceless!
"Hmm?" Looking back at Danny, Mei glanced down at her own shorts and smiled. "Oh, thanks! I like your fashion as well."

This was what he got for being perpetually late to things. Seriously, one day he was going to sleep in and wake up to find half the school gone on some field trip he'd forgotten to sign up for or something.
. . . Alright, yeah, that was as likely to happen as him becoming a vegetarian. But at least he seemed to pass by a checkpoint, so he had some heading!

Mort could've sworn he heard singing before, but now it had gone away . . . Shame he hadn't brought his eyePod. Well no, maybe it was better to be aware of his surroundings; just because Alex didn't report anything didn't mean there weren't risks down here.

Had Mort been privy to Alex's thoughts, he would have pointed out that a very different boil was on the dual-tone haired zombie's mind, thank you very much. Which in and of itself would have been a distraction as he shuffled onward.

By the time Mitzi had reached the room, Alex had already reached his boilfriend bonded (she mentally corrected herself). Given her past interactions with Yin, there was no way she was going to follow the zomboil over, so instead she scanned the crowd for others she recognized. She spotted another undead she knew, and headed over to join her. "Mei!" she called to the jiang-shi as she came up. "Hey, so is this 'the end' that the map was leading to?" She glanced around, noticing both the large number of students, and the several others in their immediate group who she hadn't met before. "Oh, hi, I'm Mitzi."Of course, then she noticed a certain greed demon. Her eyes flashed, and she shot him a pointed glare. What was he doing here with Mei?! Unlike Amphi, Roch could see over heads. "Oye, Amphi, over here," he called quietly. But with her hearing he was positive she could hear it. Craaaap, he thought, as much as he wanted her there--he didn't want her there. This was threatening to be dangerous. They probably had just walked into a trap.

This was starting to feel more and more like the uncomfortably long journey Callie had taken to reach the other Defenders. Boil, the trance sure knew how to pick 'em. Come to think of it, all of this was eerily similar.
More bad feels were had as he passed through the second checkpoint.

Still, bad feels or not he'd have to make it some way or another, because he'd be damned if he missed out on this . . . whatever this was. Not a sanctioned field trip, but feeling every bit as dangerous the deeper he went.
