Somewhere in all the wangst and depression I forgot to mention Nick helped me with my little "ceiling mirror" project.
We figured out the best way to do it was to build a double frame like an embroidery hoop to make sure the mylar stayed taut. It sags a bit here and is ripply a bit there, but it serves its purposes.
I like looking at myself in it and pretending I'm a courtesan from the Belle Époque being painted by Renoir or Tolouse-Lautrec or Mucha.
It's terribly erotic.

If something makes you happy, then it's always worth fighting for; at the very least trying. Things might look grim, but if you just give up, then things will definitely not work out.
