Deryk double backed around as more watermelons flew. He managed to not get hit by anything, but before he could continue on with the fight, Allan had ended up stopping him to rant away.

Once again, Petra shoved herself to her feet, more pissed off than ever. Covered with sticky, wet sand, she looked like a hot mess, standing there with a huge mace in her hand. Clumps of it were everywhere -- in her now-stringy hair, coating her skin in thick sheets, shoved in between her new DDs -- she looked kind of like a sand-castle. At the very least, she looked like she desperately needed to rinse off.
But that could wait. Right now, she had a monster to kill.

Apparently, yes. Jordan took half a moment to wonder why the thing was throwing melons itself if it was angry about the wanton destruction of melons. Or maybe it had some other motivation. You never knew with giant watermelon monsters.
A watermelon came sailing through the air to explode right at his feet, covering him in sticky juices. He wiped his eyes clean and went after the perpetrator.

Her shot hit! Beaming, Jerry lowered Roar for just a moment- long enough for something to smash into her face, sending her tumbling to the sand again, her face sticky and wet. Oh god oh god was she hit? Where were her glasses? Was that blood? Oh god oh god she was- Covered in watermelon. Squinting, she wiped her face off as best she could, before spending the rest of the time trying to find her fallen glasses. There was some kind of irritating irony in the whole emphasis on melons. Jordan took up a stance and waited for a fog tentacle to come flying in his direction; when one obligingly took aim at him, Ferros was there to smack it back.
