Rin grinned as well as Sayu howled from the pain of her sacred arrow, joined by her shrieking shadow minions as they died. Her smile dropped as Tsuki turned her attentions back to her and lunged for her, heading for her throat. A second later, Koto appeared in front of her, stopping her attack with his body. "Koto!" She cried, seeing Tsuki's claws rip into his torso. Tears began to stream down her cheeks. But then a harsh wind from Koto's youki blew her back several feet, making her back slam into the tree trunk that she'd put Stian and Kirara in for safety. She gaped as she saw Koto transformed into a giant fox, around the same size as Lord Sesshomaru's true form. She had seen Sesshomaru's form only a time or two, so she wasn't fazed by his transformation any longer. He then lunged for Tsuki, the two beginning to fight. She blinked as Inuyasha ran up to her, telling her to keep shooting her arrows. Inuyasha then shouted to Kouga about not letting Sayu get away. "I'm on it!" She saw the fleeing woman, and aimed an arrow at her. She let it fly, the arrow zooming past her chest, probably making the woman stop to avoid the purifying light.

Ignoring the fight, Sayu had been about to fly away, knowing that Touga would remain for a while longer until someone broke the hold on his mind. Suddenly a streak of purifying energy sailed by her chest, causing her to screech in slight pain. Holding her chest, the burn already bringing blood to the surface, she growled at the human girl. She narrowed her eyes. "This isn't over girl! You will pay for that!" She coughed harshly, it being extremely painful to speak let alone breathe. Instead of flying away, she slipped away into the shadows. If Rin had shot a arrow after her, it would go through the shadow portal after her and scrape her shoulder.




Koto made sure to keep himself out of reach of her jaws as he attempted to pin Tsuki. His jaws came down numerous times in an attempt to latch hold of her scruff as one would a pup. She was quick, that was for certain. Everytime he would get close, she would squirm and evade him. Fortunately, his body covered hers so she couldn't get far. Blood pooled from the numerous scrapes and cuts from Tsuki but he ignored it. They would be healed soon enough anyways. He dare not raise his youki too much so that the others wouldn't feel infected by the strength of his power. He let out a sharp yip at Tsuki, commanding her to submit.









Inuyasha let out painful cries as Touga;s claws tore into him. He dare not release the kid. When ice slid under his knees, he let out a grateful sigh. He could feel deep down that the new moon would be over soon though. He just had to hold on long enough for that. When Rusty looked at him, as if asking permission to hit Touga again, he would nod if the kid was still awake. Hopefully something could work to their favor. He could smell and feel the power of the tainted jewel shard on him though. The heavy evil emanating from him could be felt by both him and Rusty but he wasn't sure if Rusty knew the feeling. An idea hit him. "Rin! Come over here and see if you can't purify the shard!" He could feel that that woman had gone, hopefully.

Rin had let Koto take command of his fight with Tsuki. He was a big boy and could take care of himself. Though she did wonder why he was so determined to protect her so much. She heard Sayu's screech of pain, and saw blood starting to well up from where the arrow had made contact. The woman held her chest, growling. "This isn't over girl! You will pay for that!" Rin was feeling rather bold. "Bring it on! I'll be waiting for you!" And to add insult to injury, she raised her bow and fired another arrow at the fleeing woman. She hissed in frustration as the arrow disappeared into the portal after her. She had no idea if it had hit or not. She turned when she heard Inuyasha shouting for her, asking her to come over there and try purifying the shard that Touga had. She jogged over to them and approached the young pup. Inuyasha had his wrists pinned, so she felt confident enough to reach for the shard without risk of injury. Her fingers were just about to touch the shard when a set of sharp fangs latched onto her hand, making her scream in pain. Gritting her teeth from the pain, undeterred, she used her free hand to grasp the shard in his collarbone. She could see it starting to turn pink rather than black, and pulled it free from his skin.

Fake Sayu wound up arriving near a lake of fire. This place was familiar. Ah yes, she remembered. She had come here. It would be one of the testing locations. A dark smirk appeared. Suddenly, she let out another screech. The miko arrow buried itself into the ground near the edge of the lake. She watched the ground spurt with new growth and life. A growl rocked through her. At that moment, the fire stirred. A woman walked out. "So, the shadow is injured." Fake Sayu growled darkly. A flash of darkness appeared and the real Sayu suddenly appeared. The woman took a step back and bowed. The real Sayu looked at her shadow in disgust. "You allowed the human to injure you. Pitiful. Be thankful I still have a use for you." Sayu turned to the woman. "I want the human miko's soul. I want her dead."

Inuyasha grunted as Touga fell limp. He nodded to Rin in satisfaction. That was good. He could still see the pup was under the influence of his youkai side. It worried him. The kid shouldn't be old enough to tap into that kind of power. He could hear the whimpers coming from him. Blood was pouring from his cuts but it wasn't too much thankfully.

¤ Armourous Monk - Miroku

Rusty had struck Touga once more by the time Rin moved over to them. He watched curiously as the girl's energy purified the shard that Touga had. He still felt the dark youkai that lingered. He glanced up in time to see one fo the wolves jump at Inuyasha, but before he could move, the pack was being attacked. He turned and saw a monk throwing sutras. Then suddenly the monk released some kind of energy that sucked up all of the other wolves. Rusty stared, his heart rate increased slightly. He'd never seen anything like it and an instinctual fear started to form in his gut. He growled at the newcomer, though he didn't let go of Touga. "Who the hell are you?" His ears tuned into the low thud of Sango hitting the ground, too weak to stand. He looked over at her and watched as Kirara ran over. He hesitantly let go of Touga, making sure the pup couldn't run off with just Inuyasha and Rin there. He walked over to Sango and crouched down next to her. He made Kirara aware that he was there and he gently picked up Sango's arm. She had a lot of bad cuts and he wasn't entirely sure what to do for her. He reached into one of the pouches on his waist and pulled out a long roll of cloth. He always carried it for when he needed to be bandaged. He wrapped her forearms, tearing off the cloth with his teeth. He glanced over her for more wounds, but couldn't see any. He looked at Kirara, trying to assess the cats wounds.

Tsuki continued to struggle, evading the grasp of Koto's jaws. In the struggle, she'd torn open some of the wounds that hadn't healed yet. He yipped at her, causing her to pause for a moment. Suddenly, Tsuki's body would shiver and the dark shard in her forehead would turn pink. Her eyes would return to their normal bright green color. Then after witnessing the monk's arrival, she struggled again, trying to get from beneath the fox. But she was drained and her body went limp, her eyes closing. She was still awake, but she lacked the energy to do much more than breath. A whimper escaped her throat. Rusty heard and glanced up. He saw that Tsuki no longer struggled and let out a sigh of relief. He could tell that she would be fine.

Rin, after pulling the shard free from Touga, slumped to her knees, clutching her profusely bleeding hand to her chest. She then noticed a pack of more wolves racing their way, heading straight towards Inuyasha. "Inuyasha, look out!" She then watched as a purple/black blur appeared to fight off the wolves, before sucking them up with a wind tunnel. Her eyes brightened. It was monk Miroku! He successfully dealt with the wolves, and she could relax. It was then she noticed Touga. "Stop. You're hurting him." She told Rusty and Inuyasha, tugging sharply on them to release the young child. She moved to her backpack and rummaged around, and pulled out some food. "Here. You need to eat." She held out the food towards him. She glared up at the two men. "Will you let go of him!" She moved closer to Touga, and despite having been bitten by him, she wrapped her arms around him soothingly, pulling his head gently against her torso. "It's alright. Everything's going to be alright." She said softly. "Let it all out."
