Madison managed to get to her feet, though her body was aching powerfully now. Kouki's blades were bright with FEAR, though, and she had to get to a harpoon gun... quickly, just barely dodging a tentacle swipe, she half-ran, half-slid over to the fourth gun, dumping Kouki's charge into it as soon as she was possibly able to do so.
Then she fetched up in the meager shelter the gun offered and tried to catch her breath.

The tentacle slithered off him, and Jordan scrambled hastily back up onto more stable ground, giving his rescuers a relieved, grateful grin. "Thanks, guys," he said. "I owe you."
Want to eat it, Ferros snarled softly.
Give me a minute to get my heart rate down a notch, Jordan grumbled back.

Mercedes would have stuck around if it weren't for a couple of things... but ultimately Leon's pointy nipples were the final word. Hadjoc tugged at her arm in frustration though, wanting desperately to continue fighting next to the shirtless hunter to prove a point but; Hadjoc knock it off, what are you, hot for that guy? she frantically blushed off her weapon's attitude.
....
Clearly the ravenmocker had nothing left to say. "I erm.. I'm quite glad you weren't-" Mercedes shouted back to Cass. "Let's go help the others-"

Breath in, breath out, humming helped, stay focused. Harpoon gun. Go to the harpoon gun.
He barely noticed Candace as he swayed and drifted across the field, narrowly missing flailing tentacles before releasing Roar's charge into the closest machine.

Wilson rolled his neck, grimacing when he heard the soft sound of bones cracking. That didn’t sound like good news at all, but at least now his weapon glowed faintly. Gramps was charged. He stalked over to the harpoon gun and struck it.

Leon had to admit, for someone that almost got violently ... touched, Cass was bouncing back quite well. maybe she was just mentally blocking it out? or did marcus try to do similar things to her. was he going to have to punch marcus after this mission? either way, a careful look around revealed most of the other captives getting pulled up from the perverted darkness and the tentacles quickly being dealt with for their naughtiness. "Cass, you and Mercedes can go assist the others if you want, i got business to settle with this beast now" Leon offered with a angry look on his face. As if he was going to stay bright and cheery after that attempt on his dear sis's life. Nope. A solid hit of chainsaw on the harpoon said all he wanted to say. Payback was going to hurt, and he hoped the harpoon somehow went up its undetectable a**. Hp: 24 Charging Harpoon 4: 4 out of 5

It was pure and utter chaos, dealing with this beast. Deryk had to keep himself from flailing around in a panic. Right. He had to keep charging up Tooley. Before he could do so, he ended up getting his foot stuck in some deep snow as he approached one of the writhing limbs. The trainee tried to get out of the way of it but it still slapped him anyway.
On the plus side, it freed his leg.

As Robert finished off the tentacle Rep was immediately torn between gratitude and disappointment in himself. Once again he'd been useless at one of the very few things in the world he was meant to be half decent at. Hitting s**t. But it didn't and shouldn't matter. All that mattered was that Jordan, for the moment was safe, his stomach could ******** stop doing backflips.
He nodded. "Be ******** careful." It came out just a bit angrier than he meant, but simply because he was still ******** spooked by the scare. It was the way his life generally went, s**t seemed fantastic, and then BOOM, everything went right back to s**t. He was determined it wouldn't this time but even that determination was wavering.
"I should..I should get back out of the way." he turned on his heel to start heading out to a safe distance

Stuff was happening. Everywhere. H was gone, ice was breaking, tentacles were thrashing about and grabbing people....If Sherry were capable of cursing like the sailor she wished she were at the moment (aka: not here), she would have. Luckily, Armagnac was quite well versed in colorful language, even if some of it didn't make sense to Sherry.
The crap happening around her did make sense, though. It was cold and this thing was big and... "Oh damn, oh damn, oh-"
Armagnac started ranting again, cursing Sherry for her ineptitude.
Sherry tried, aiming her blade at the nearest thrashing tentacle.

The tentacle was still nearby after it had whipped him the first time around. Deryk decided to capitalize on this and thrusted his arm out at the thing, sinking Tooley in fairly nicely. Apparently, this had pissed off the tentacle, as it picked him up and tossed him several feet.
"OUGH" he grunted as he landed in the snow pretty hard. That wasn't the most pleasant ride.

Wash winced as Jerry fired right next to him, but stood ready anyway, doing his best to catch the blows of the tentacles before they hit his partner. They always seemed to find each other in the midst of trouble. Heckuvah coincidence. Always the sidekick, Sally commented teasingly. HP: 40/40 Defending Jerry for 8 Moon

And so it was on. Sort of. Deryk got back to his feet and made another swipe at the tentacle, but missed as it moved just out of his reach. It came back around quickly, whipping him across the chest in retaliation.
Stumbling back some, the death trainee soon whined. It wasn't easy hitting this thing wish such a short ranged weapon!
Well, at least he could kind of distract one of the tentacles away from a few of the others who were coordinating.

The tentacle had hit her back. It felt like retaliation. So, Sherry acted likewise.
Armagnac seemed quite pleased as Sherry swung the glaive around for another swipe. Armagnac hissed with pleasure as the blade connected, but Sherry winced with pain as the next tentacle swipe knocked her off her feet.

Deryk waited a bit for the tentacle to move closer again. It struck out at him, but he managed to evade it so far. Once he was to the side of it, he quickly stabbed into the fleshy thing pretty deeply. Pulling the blade back out, he was about to run to the nearest harpoon when he felt an ice spike hit him squarely in the backside.
"AAAH!" he cried out. Damn that hurt! That also would have been very bad if he hadn't had Tooley.

The tentacles seem to have found something they like liked. Really liked. Three more shot out and caught at Jordan, trying to drag him down into the mouth. the OOC Jordan has been caught by three tentacles! Each has 10 hp! Jordan has taken 7 damage! Those who try to save him will get 7 auto damage! BOSS CRUSH STRIKES AGAIN!
