When Alex got the phone back from Yin, he couldn't help but read the boils response.
Oh no. No he didn't...Yeaaa, ya he did. This was just absolutely stupendous. Even while he was reading it, a new message from his mother came through, one that simply said, 'May I talk to Alexander now please?' and Alex had to wince, even as he read it, shoulders hunching more then before.
He texted her back with a short reply that said, 'Me now. What's up?' but could practically see the unimpressed look on her face that she probably had while reading that simple message from her son. It was not long before he received another text, this time telling him that they needed to talk, and soon. He understood why she might feel that way, but he texted her back anyways 'Why me? It's Yin who's clueless! You should talk to him. He needs it, really. And mom, I know what you are worried about. Don't be. Whatever you think is happening is most definitely not happening.'
With that bit of drama behind him, he finally flipped over to the text he received from Reiko. It was short and to the point, and was a message open for dismissal if ever he saw one. With some amount of relief her replied to her.
Songstress Kitsune
Ya, sure thing. See you then!
He then turned back to Yin, almost giving the other boil an accusing look before catching himself. The other boil had at least done a good job with managing the messaging system, after all, and that meant they could keep in contact during the next week.
"Okay, well...that could have gone better, but I think...yes, I think you'll be able to manage when the time comes." He gave the other boil a warm smile, to show how much he appreciated the effort.
"Anyways, about those pictures. I..uh..know I haven't exactly given you much reason in the past to think that pictures can actually be a good thing but..." He tapped at the screen a couple of times to take him to his album, then again to enlarge the first photo, then hit the play button at the bottom of the screen to start the slide show. He then handed the phone back over to Yin.
"I thought you might miss Princess Eva and your other pets while you were gone, so I took a bunch of photo's with my phone before we left for you." He said happily, knowing how much Yin adored his pets, especially the little Rabo.
