 It was hard to tell where Damien was exactly since he had mentally gone else where. But he heard Ares's voice and then felt his touch bringing him back for a brief moment, enough to nod when the other male suggested taking him to his place and he really didn't feel like going to his house all that much or even driving so he reached into his pocket and grasped his car keys in his hands. Pulling them out he placed them into the other males hand when he reached up and grabbed his wrist to pull his hand away from his face. Damien's eyes were still glued to the wall, past Ares as if he were not there. He was in a dream and wake state, not sure if this was reality or not, all he could feel was his feet moving with Ares seeming to support him as if he were going to fall but Damien was strong enough to walk though he did not protest against the other male and simply let him lead him back to the car. The hospital was noisy as it should be but to Damien it was rather quiet and peaceful and he didn't really want to leave such peacefulness, but before he could really just sit at a random spot in the hospital he was already in the parking lot and walking toward his car. The passenger door opened and he sat down automatically, making it seem as if he were a robot and was simply put on automatic.
As the car went down the streets toward Ares's home, Damien wanted to snap out of it and assure the other male that he was fine but he just couldn't find his voice at the moment. In fact, Damien was reacting the same way he had done when his mother was in the hospital on the brink of death. The words his father said were the same that his mother had said and that had triggered the memory of when he was in the room with his dying mother. It had pained him to remember such a moment and that was the reason he had sat silently when his father had spoken those words. His father knew that Damien would be silent and sickly looking for a bit when he saw his expression. He was like a lonely child again, not sure what to do anymore.
Sitting there, Damien's hand that sat on his lap clenched though his expression remained the same. It truly was hard to tell what was going on with him but soon, perhaps even the next day he would be alright and be able to find his voice to talk about it. His eyes went from staring out the window to staring at Ares's home when the other male parked the car in the drive way. Normally he would have gotten out himself but he seemed to have still been in that trance so all he did was sit there and stare at the house.

Ares took the keys with no fuss, leading Damien to his own car as he got the other situated before slipping into the drivers seat and started the car. With that he started towards his home, glancing over at Damien every now and then, still worried sick about the other male. He wanted to know what was wrong, what he could do to help the other male.... he hadn't even realized how tightly he was holding the steering wheel until he was home and let go, finding that his hands were now aching and tense. He paused for a moment to glance at Damien, before taking the keys out of the ignition and slipping out of the car, walking around to the passenger side to help Damien out.
With that he lead him inside and sat his down on the couch, before sitting down next to him, simply pulling the other over a bit so he could stroke Damien' hair in a soothing manner again. "I can wait to hear what happened...perhaps you should have a nap? Or if you're hungry i can make you something" he cooed gently, kissing the males cheek affectionately as he tried to bring the other around. This was terrifying, and he knew himself that he was also trembling a bit, though he was doing his best to hide that. "But i'm right here...so please don't shut me out" He whispered, his voice shaking even.....he was scared. He wasn't used to seeing Damien like this and it scared him to death... He didn't want to so much as move from the others side, afraid that if he did, Damien would fall into a even deeper trance like state than he already was in.

At last he took notice that he was beginning to upset Ares by worrying him a lot. Damien took a deep breath and let the other male stroke his hair and he did begin to become more relaxed and comfortable. Unlike before as a child he had someone comforting him and that made him feel a bit better. In fact he snapped out of that memory he was in and slowly sat up to look at Ares. "I think a nap will do," he gave him a weak smile before getting up and simply guessed where the bedroom was and luckily he had guessed right, Damien walked over to the bed and laid down on it face down, his pillow taking in Ares's sent that still lingered there even after the pillow case was washed. He soothed him more to the point where he slowly fell asleep. He no longer looked as bad a before, in fact he seemed at peace. Ares would certainly as Damien what had happened later on when he awoke again.

Ares nodded slowly, a bit relieved that Damien had finally actually responded to him. After watching Damien wander to his bedroom Ares stood up, now he had to find something to occupy himself with...keep his mind busy so he wouldnt keep on fretting. He decided on making dinner and cleaning up a bit, that would surely help him keep his mind off of things and so he got to doing so. Of course he couldnt help but let his mind wander to Damien and he went to check on the male once, a small smile tugging at his lips when he saw how peaceful Damien looked asleep. After that he was able to relax a bit more and set to making a stew, since he figured it would be easier to eat and he hoped the smell would make Damien hungry.... He didn't want Damien to not eat and make himself feel worse.
Once the soup was on the stove and all he could do was wait for it to cook, he cleaned up the kitchen, and wandered back into the living room. Taking a seat he turned the T.V. on, making sure the volume was on low so he wouldn't disturb Damien and simply sat there, watching television as he forced himself to focus on other things. Damien would let him know what was wrong when he got up, or at least he hoped he would.

Damien dreamed about his childhood and being with his mother but the odd thing about the dream was as if his mother was talking to him about the current situation. It was as if she was visiting him in his dream and she was there to comfort him though Ares did a good job of doing so earlier. They sat on a swinging bench staring at a sunset, his small legs swinging back and forth before they suddenly touched the ground and he was his true age. He glanced at the woman who grew a bit older and no longer had hair. They stared at one another and she was the first to smile and so he smiled as well.
His mother opened her mouth and said, "It'll be okay,but promise me you'll be there till the end okay." She smiled and reached out, grabbing his hand and squeezing it gently.
Her hand was warm and soft and he placed his other hand on hers and nodded, "I promise." They continued to smile at one another as they watched the sun continue to set. They told each other stories and laughed, his mother mentioning how handsome he had gotten and how he must had left millions of girls heart broken. Despite the fact that he was gay, she loved him no matter what and wished him happiness. She even told him that she wished she could meet Ares.
As the sun began to finally disappear, she rested her head on to his shoulder and began to shut her eyes, her grip on his hand loosening ever so slightly. She muttered an "I love you" and also asked him to tell his father that she loved him too and that she was still waiting for him. When the sun finally left, so did she. She faded along with the light and Damien opened his eyes to now be staring up at the ceiling. He sighed but was a bit content though it was a bitter sweet moment. Getting up, he went into the living room where he could now hear the television and spotted Ares sitting there. He went and joined the other male and smiled warmly at him.

As soon as Ares heard Damien' foot steps he turned off the television and shifted so he was facing the other male. He lifted a hand to cup the others cheek, searching the other males eyes, though he no longer saw the empty look he had been giving him earlier and a look of relief seemed to wash over the blondes features. "Are you okay now?" He breathed, finally realizing just how weak an uneven his tone had become. He took in a deep breath to calm himself down, though his relief was evident...he'd been quite frightened... Because he didn't know what had happened or why Damien had suddenly cut himself off. For a moment he simply searched the others eyes again, before he leaned forward to wrap his arms tightly around the other "You had me worried" He murmured, burying his face against the other males chest as he took in his scent, a comforting thing.

He stared into the others eyes indeed showing that he was alright and that he was no longer lost in who knows what other world. When the other wrapped his arms around him he wrapped his own arms around the males waist and held him close. "Sorry I made you worry, I'm fine now. I didn't mean to react that way...it's just what my father said that kind of sent me back to the past and it was as if I were a child again." He sighed a bit but smiled softly rubbing the other males back.
"No need to worry now, I'm perfectly fine now, really I am," Damien added as he put his hands on Ares's arms and gently pushed him off so he could see the males face. He placed his hand on his chin and made him look at him square in the eyes. "But a kiss would make me feel 100% better." If his actions proof enough that he was fine then his words should have been.

Ares listened to Damien' words, finding comfort in knowing that he was alright now...and that he was responding again. He let Damien pry him off of him, leaning back again to meet Damien' gaze, before he let out a soft chuckle and leaned forward to place a tender kiss on the others lips, reaching up to wrap his arms around Damien' neck now. When he broke the kiss he simply pressed his forehead against Damien'. "what....did he say to you...?" He asked softly, unable to really suppress the curiosity. Still he didn't move away from Damien, savoring the closeness between them. You couldn't really blame him....they'd only been together for a day so it had frightened him to think that perhaps Damien would leave him again...

Damien kissed the male back enjoying the kiss before it was broken. He stared into Ares's eyes, almost becoming lost in them, enjoying how close they were. When he asked about what his father said he had to separate himself from the other and sat facing the television with his back slightly hunched over with his elbows on his thighs. He stared at the floor and spoke, "Well he didn't say much to me to be honest, in fact he simply said two words." Damien glanced over at him and sat back, his back pressed again the couch, "He said he was sorry. I know you're probably thinking that those words aren't enough to make me be thrown back to the past but I'll tell you why it did so you understand."
Once more he paused and glanced up at the ceiling, thinking over what he was going to say. Then he spoke, "On the day of my mothers death I went to visit her and she was already dying. I sat there and did my best to comfort her. We both sat there waiting for my father but he never came. I was angry that he didn't and already began to hate him but my mother told me not to, she told me to promise to be by his side and to forgive him. Then, she said she loved me but her true last words were 'I'm sorry'." He looked at Ares and was sure he understood now why he had suddenly become so distant and sick like.It was as if he was reliving the day of his mothers death when his father said that.

Ares listened to Damien, staying quiet as he listened to the other male speak, noting how many times he seemed to shift... thinking over what he was going to tell him... "No, i understand.... I'm sure anyone in your circumstance would have reacted the same...or at least in a similar manner" He cooed gently, lifting a hand to reach out and run his fingers through a tendril of Damien' chocolate locks. "He's sorry...." Ares couldn't help but murmur under his breath, and perhaps the relief was obvious on his face.... His father had apologized to Damien, and though Damien may not have realized just what it meant...Ares believed it meant that he had finally accepted his son for who he was. Before anything else could be said Ares leaned forward to place another sweet kiss on Damien' lips, lingering there for a moment before pulling back with a sweet smile playing on his own lips. "Thank you for sharing that with me" He added softly, pleased that he was this trusted....it was....nice being able to share everything with someone, comforting even.

Not wanting for this heavy atmosphere to linger too much, Damien said, "So, about food...." he looked at Ares and waited for his food since he was starving. But, he did smile warmly at the other male to show he was feeling much better and he was grateful of his presence and the fact that he was there comforting him. He always found it easy to trust Ares and though Damien had trust issues, he certainly didn't have such issues with the male sitting beside him.

Ares pursed his lips for a moment, before perking up and hopping off the couch "Right, I was making stew~" He chimed as he trotted back into the kitchen to find that it was done, and so he turned off the stove. He was back in a few minutes with two bowls of stew place on plates, each with a piece of fresh bread with butter to go along with it. After placing that down he returned to the kitchen to get them drinks "What do you want to drink?" He called from the kitchen, realizing he didn't know what Damien would want.

Damien was busy devouring his bread but looked over at the kitchen and thought for a moment. "Anything will do really, just as long as it's not milk." He grinned slightly and went back to eating his bread, letting the stew cool down and when it did, ever so slightly he began to eat the stew. It didn't surprise him that it was delicious, it was Ares that cooked it after all. In fact, he would probably ask for at least three more bowls before he was satisfied. He couldn't help it, he ate a lot, his stomach being an endless pit.

Ares chuckled under his breath and simply poured both of them juice, wondering how Damien had grown so much without drinking milk...seemed that drinking milk didn't really do much. Ares then wandered back into the living room and placed the cups down, before he set to eating his own food. "If you want more, there's lots in the pot" He stated, taking his time with his own bowl since he knew that was all he'd be able to eat himself. He wasn't a big eater, but he was healthy so it was fine, that's just how he was...which was probably why he was so thin...not that he minded that.

Damien smiled and took a sip of his juice and continued to eat his stew but went into the kitchen and actually found himself a bigger bowl and came back with more stew. He sat back down and continued to eat. It was just too good to stop eating and he would eat until he was at least somewhat full.
After half an hour he sat there patting his belly with a smile, "Delicious, simply delicious." He glanced at Ares and winked at him before stretching and getting up to stretch his legs as he took his cup and bowl back into the kitchen and began to wash his own dishes as well as some that Ares had used to make his stew.
