Crap. They were after him, weren't they? Otto was blocked in again. Damn this stupid skirt dress thing! Otto wasn't able to run like he normally could.
The trainee cursed and tried to get past them again, only to be attacked by those he passed by.

Jude stepped in then. Otto wasn't sure why he was helping him. No clue why. It didn't make any sense to him.

Oh, man, oh man... Madison drew her swords as best she could, but the sleeves were sewn oddly. One sleeve hitched at the elbow, and she lost her grip on a sword-hilt, sending the katana clattering back into its scabbard. What are you doing?! Kouki yelped as one of the freaks jumped at her. She slashed frantically with her free sword, but the thing still managed to deliver a wicked swipe to her side, sending her off-balance.

He didn't say a word to Otto to explain why he was there helping him out he just let the other Hunter try to re-gather strength and energy while he tried to fend off a few that were coming at them. It felt nice to just hit things for a while. There was almost a sort of zen to it.
Sure he got hit a few times but that didn't seem to break his concentration much.

Man, what was this? An unlimited stream of undead? Hoping that she wouldn't be so careless as to stumble over her, er, "shinigami" outfit again, Eva lifted Chara and swung out at one of the mobs that were crowding her.
Apparently it was a pretty good swing too, considering how her swipe had managed to take out eight of them at once. Phew! Much better than her first attempt!

Madison sliced at her own sleeve with her free blade; the binding fabric gave way easily, and suddenly she could move both arms again. Finally! She drew the other sword and jumped away from a lunging freak - it clipped her, just barely, but over-reached itself. The swords crashed through its neck.
She kept the momentum going; that single arc hit another freak, and flowed easily into the next step of the attack. Really, there were so many of the damn things that it would've been harder NOT to hit one...
Thisss, we like thiss, Kouki crowed, the runes on his blades beginning to glow.

Otto reeled his arm back and threw his weapon into the air once more, taking out seven more creatures. However, once again, he got hit bad. Annnnnd just as Eva was beginning to think that she wasn't so bad at this, she got mobbed by eight more "hollows" that had been standing right behind her. One to avenge each of the eight that she took out, it seemed.

Behind!! Kouki shouted; Madison whirled just a little too late. A Hollow crashed into her, snapping at her shoulder; she fended it off, tearing it free and cutting off its head, wincing. Fortunately, the next one that came at her didn't even get close enough to bite before losing first a leg, then its head...
Okay. Okay, she could get the hang of this. It wasn't like she was killing people or anything. A faint smile appeared on Madison's face as she pivoted and stabbed another freak right between the eyes.

Eva had noticed the boy staggering backwards after a particularly bad hit. Just as she tried to make her way towards him, one of the creatures lunged out at her, successfully distracting her. Fortunately, the surprise attack hadn't harmed her too badly.

Rin swung Byr around again for another eruption of walking dead, sending them back and ending seven total. This seemed to push them back enough she could breathe though she was clearly winded herself.
'No, you need to hold it.' She mentally scolded her weapon while brandishing him, poised to go again once zombies got too close on them.

Emboldened, Madison whipped around to bury her blades into the belly of a looming Hollow - but it leaned in over the blades and swiped at her face, hard. Kouki's shield protected her from getting clawed, but the impact made her ears ring; she staggered for a moment before shifting her weight forward and letting her own misplaced momentum drive her attack through her opponent's body.
She could do this. Hah, didn't even hurt, hardly...

Three came at him and hit them. He smacked two of them down while the third undead just kind of lumbered off elsewhere to attack someone new as if forgetting he was there in the first place at the moment.

This was starting to get annoying. Rather than trying to wade her way uselessly through the crowd to get to Otto, Eva finally seemed to realize that it would be more effective to swing Chara around in front of her to clear her way. It worked.

It was really overwhelming. There were so many enemies around, Deryk was having trouble focusing on any particular target. As a result, he was also having trouble staying away from their own attacks. Well, this time around, he managed to avoid getting hurt too much.
Even so, he was having trouble making much of a mark of any of the undead creatures.
