He stumbled towards the cutouts - or the direction that he assumed led to the cutouts, and reached out blindly, fumbling around with the little paper heart. And then he dropped it. Jackdamnit. Falling to his knees, he began to feel around for the piece of paper. He vaguely realized that the tips of his ears were brushing something that was quite possibly cardboard. To everyone who was not blindfolded, Thackery looked like he was very closely examining a cardboard Shehk's crotch, molesting her feet all the while. Maybe it was a good thing that Ash wasn't here after all. As his fingertips brushed the familiar paper, he stood triumphantly, holding it briefly above his head as if he were straight from a video game. He smashed it against the form in front of him, pulled off his blindfold, and... Shehk had been boob-hearted. Welp. Hopefully nobody saw that. He hurriedly about-faced and went to find another game.

Though Thackery had seen the game with the pop-up characters, it hadn't quite registered to him that they were Hunters. Before he even approached to play, he watched it with narrowed eyes, ensuring that none of them looked particularly familiar.
Because even though they weren't real, it seemed a little hypocritical to smack a doll of the girl he was supposed to be protecting.
Seemingly satisfied after a full round of the mini-humans popping from their holes and returning again, he excitedly began to whack away. It was a lot like pouncing things during playtime! The practice of doing so seemed to pay off; though his score wasn't perfect, he was pleased with his result. Next time would probably be even better!

And then there was the game with its flashing lights and happy chiming beeps, hitting a frequency that tickled his ears and sang for him to come play all at once. He couldn't deny it - just look at all the effort it was putting towards getting him to play!
The Cerberus was not particularly familiar with games of this type, but it was fairly intuitive, and really fun. His tail wagged as he leaned forward, eyes widening to really soak in all of that pretty flashing light business going on.

As "LEVEL TWO" flashed across the screen, Thackery could feel that the pressure was on. It wasn't just scareling play anymore. This game meant business. He stuck his tongue out a bit in concentration, hands hovering above the controls-
and was immediately eaten by that obnoxious yellow puck.
He growled at the Pac-Man, folded his arms, and left it alone for the time being. Maybe when the game decided they could be friends he'd try it again.

It has suddenly occurred to Edel that she might, in fact, actually be really bad at this game. As far as the records go, all three attempts to clear the first stage have resulted in a resounding failure.
That gave her something to think about for a bit.
And so she moved on.

This game however, she was good at. It was a game that she put all her heart and soul into, the passion and spirit. Each battering to the puppet hunters was simply poetry in motion. Only hunters would say otherwise.
Edel looked at the machine unapologetically. May destruction befall upon it.

THESE TASTE LIKE CHALK BUT FREE CANDY IS FREE CANDY.
Suddenly craving for some candy, the ghoul wandered over to the candy machine and cranked the knob once more. Out popped a little message:
Dogs are cuter.
Edel mulled over it, and thought about the meaning of life. She agreed.

Still feeling a little insulted over the Ghost-Man game, Thackery decided that the only way to fix this (sans hugs from Ash, of course) was to get more candy. That would inevitably patch his feelings right up. Especially if it told him that he was a king again. King Thackery. Yeah, that sounded so kickass.
The candy that fell into his hand this time, however, was not as encouraging.
"Four-ever alone?" he whined, depositing the candy on top of the machine. He didn't want that one.
He crossed his arms over his chest and hugged himself, staring at the door again. Way to be a rude reminder, candy. Thanks.

The absence of Rain would have typically really bothered Shine, even bringing her to tears at points, overwhelmed by the discomfort of being outside around all of these strange variables without her stable ghoul (...friend? was she?).
But she was surprisingly fine as she meandered around the party, her crooked smile occasionally breaking away for a little laugh.
Her mind was flooded with happy thoughts of Rain, the memories of a few short moments during Christmastival playing over and over.
Other students were gathering around some sort of box - a game, maybe - that was a bit too loud for her tastes. But she was curious, and she patiently waited her turn, only to stare at the screen and let out a wail. The euphoria of blossoming love momentarily shattered as the bright lights flashed against her sensitive eyes. She threw her arm over her face and jabbed her claws, all splayed out, towards the panel. Make it stop.

That terrible experience could not have been over soon enough. Shine pressed through the small crowd of strangers and flopped down on the ground, burying her face in her hands as she tried to relax. This would have been the moment where doubts began creeping in, worrying her over her worth and her friends; instead, she found Rain again. The shaking stopped, her eyes re-adjusted, and she found herself willing to stand and try another game.
Had she not been enjoying the bubbly sensations, she might have wondered over the interesting shift in her thoughts. She might have gone to find Rain to talk it over with her. But this was so pleasant - and maybe even what the other students felt all the time - so she let it wash over her once more.
There were little people popping out of a game nearby, and that was a little bit scary too...but the goal seemed to be to hit them, and she was very good at hitting things that scared her!
It took a while to get used to, and her turn was over before she knew it, but she found herself giggling at the end. Yay, hitting things!

Sin wandered back towards the games the lure of Whack a Hunter was proving rather strong. First she paused at the candy machine however. She wasn't sure if she wanted to risk another piece, but then again there had to be a good message in there somewhere. Slowly she took a candy heart and eyed the text on it. 5ever Alone! Again! Scowling she chomped down the candy cursing her bad luck with them and headed over to Whack a Hunter.

The whole candy typo thing was still irritating her as she grabbed the game mallet. What were the odds anyway? As the little hunters started to pop up Sin slammed the mallet down releasing some frustration and managing to improve her score as well. She set down the mallet with a sense of twisted satisfaction, maybe she had bad luck with her candy, but when it came to skill she was alright. Score:10

LVL 1
The screen flashed and Sn's eyes were drawn back to the Ghost machine, maybe she ought to give it another go. After all last time she had made it all the way to lvl 3. She approached and took hold of the controller. She had a strategy by now, she was going after the fear capsules right away.
GAME OVER
Of course her strategy might have had more success if her path hadn't been blocked by the annoying little yellow pac creature! She huffed and turned away, perhaps she had simply gotten lucky the first time playing.

He was not sure what to actually say about Mademoiselle Temes, so he merely reached out and went for another candy, cranking the handle until a new one dropped out. It took him a moment to puzzle it out as it started off with a number, but it clicked together. "But this one is forever alone."A troubled look clouded his face. Was that not what Mademoiselle Temes had basically said? That she was unloveable, that no one would ever love her and she would be forever alone? "I upset Mademoiselle Temes," he confessed, feeling more at ease talking about it to Alexander than he would have with anyone else. Princess Eva excluded of course. "I was simply trying to find a title that she would prefer but it upset her, and then I asked her the wrong question and she answered it and walked away." He looked positively miserable at the memory, and for some reason he wanted the zomboil to physically comfort him. A hand on his shoulder was customary. What an odd desire. "This is why relationships should not be talked about with me, I cannot say the right thing."

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!In her quest search for Mac, she stumbled upon one of the games that had been set up by the Student Council... A FEAR compatibility machine? She watched as some students took a spin, hanging back with an uncertain look; while she had a feeling that this was nothing more than a game of chance rather than an accurate portrayal of anyone's FEAR compatibility, part of her didn't really want to find out what her number was...
... You know, in case she ended up with a number that predicts how her relationship with Mac was doomed to fail.
After a moment of contemplation, however, Lizzy hesitantly placed her hand on the machine, watching anxiously as the numbers started to move... When it stopped, it had landed on a 4. Turning to check out the existing scores, her eyes immediately zoomed in to the score of a certain reaper.
They... They were not a perfect match! They weren't even a natural pair.
Sure, they were not doomed to fail, but how much work was work? A lot of work? Her desu had crashed, especially after that earlier episode with Riley, and she started to walk in a random direction, looking very much like a zombie - no offense to any real zombies - as she glanced this way and that, trying to locate her boilfriend while whining softly.
"Maccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc-"
[4; Charlie/JD 8| Pink hair?]Enoh Love Plz have Mac find her somehow? :'D idk, his Lizzy-in-distress sense was tingling?
