The first set downwards from the ladder went pretty smoothly. The girl figured it was pretty hard to attack someone on the ladders unless you can fly yourself as she would come to a stop at the bottom of the ladder. She would turn to try and to walk along the small flat outcrop which would lead to the next set of ladders.
"Why not install and elevator or an escalator?"
She told herself as she made the move downwards.

The girl would balance a bit as she walks the small platform to the other set of ladders as she would start on her way down that set as well. This was at least going a bit faster than the first part of this journey as Aella would shift to the right slightly so as not to throw off the girl's climb as she reaches the stairway and put one hand out.
Slowly yet surely she would head down.

Sliding down that ladder she would reach the bottom without incident still ...as she looked at the platform in front of her. Slowly she would turn and start to walk the platform ...with her arms stretched out wide. She was try and walk slowly across ...take each step carefully.
So far so good.

Victoria would find her steps met by another sound...the slow, deliberate clanking of a pointed object against the steel in rapid succession. Skittering.
The platform groaned and swayed briefly, unused to carrying even this much weight after so long. While the guard rails were still physically intact, they'd become coated in either rust or slime over the years due to poor maintenance. It was likely no one really came down here save for emergencies.
The sound of the footsteps grew louder as another groan came from the walkway. A flicker of red appeared at the other end of the long platform, followed by the hard shelled body of a Pokemon. Deep bags beneath it's eyes as if he'd not slept in days, a Corphish slowly proceeded toward the girl. ">I've seen things....things no mon should see...horrible...unspeakable things...<" The Corphish muttered with a fluctuating pitch, speaking more so to himself then the girl ">Make it stop...make them stop....make them go away....<" He moaned, this time it was rather difficult to tell just whom he was talking to...
Of course, his words would mean nothing to Victoria. All she would be able to see would be a Corphish with a haunted gaze walking toward her, muttering to himself and ominously clacking his claws.

Aella though could hear and understand ....as her tail flicks from side to side. She knew this pokemon ..wasn't all there, and might even be ready for a fight as she looks over at him.

Unlike Victoria whom was worried about the fall and the drop, Aella didn't have that sort of fear. Afterall, she was a pokemon that could fly so a drop of that ...far was the same as taking a step off of the porch.
Though she would shift to face the Corphish even as she said those words. That meant that she had gone from Victoria's shoulder to hanging upside down on her back ....as her tail flicks a bit behind her.
The irritation of the item that had gotten tangled in her fur ....was still annoying. Though for the moment, a scratch to her side with her hindfoot, it wasn't to the point that she couldn't ignore it.

">Make it stop...make them go away....gone....gone away...bye bye...<" The Corphish muttered, eyes beginning to dart back and forth at things unseen. He clacked his right claw once slowly, then the other sharp and rapidly. ">Make it stop....Make it stop! MAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOP!!!<" He suddenly screamed, slamming both claws against his head and charging blindly forward.
It charge wouldn't come as any sort of distinguishable attack, least not for this Pokemon. He was simply running recklessly forward, running away from things unseen...and straight for Victoria.
While the pathway provided ample room to fit more then one person or Pokemon, there was significantly less space to actually pass somebody; especially not the way the Corphish was going.

He is mad.
The thought hit Aella even as Victoria would call out .....as she clung to the side of the pathway.
"Use thundershock."
The Emolga's cheeks would spark as she attacked ....the air would fizzle as she sent out the thundershock from her body. It was just pure luck that she wouldn't send the jolt into the girl herself as it streak forward aimed to hit the Corphish and hopefully knock some good sense into her.

Electricity would spark and dance across the platform as it coursed through the body of the Corphish. His shell gleaming brighter red before, the Pokemon would spasm briefly before striking the ground. Once the Water-Type's claws would snap of their own accord...and then he would go silent. He was still very much alive, but he certainly wouldn't be fighting again any time soon. Best of all...they had stopped...at least for now. Sleep would bring him some small measure of peace.
Victoria would be able to move on unhindered; and she'd find herself a little stronger for it.

Victoria wouldn't spend a lot of time ....looking back at where the Corphish had fallen. If she could have captured him ..maybe, but without the ability. The simple fact that he was out of her hair was enough as she would go further into the complex. The next set of ladders would touch her hand as she would go down another flight. Aella's tail twitches a bit ...she felt a bit sorry for the very mad pokemon, and she could almost guess why he was insane. Afterall ...he was probably getting shocked over and over again by the electricity that seems to fluctuate in the air.
Or at least by some of the nearby panels ....as Victoria went down the next set of stairs to the lower area.

A short distance away a set of tinted red eyes would appear in the darkness, the multi-lensed eyes watching her every movement carefully. Hanging skilfully from the bottom of a different, a Venonat watched the child and her Emolga with a curious yet cautious gaze. It would not move to attack the girl, simply watch and wait...at least for the time being.

She reached the bottom without problems, and as far s she knew without having to look for a fight.
Another set of platforms, though this time ...they were straight across without a ladder until the end. This was more of a matter of jumping from one to the other, otherwise she could always try the doors that sat at the end of the platforms. The thought of the Grimer being behind one of those doors or something more ghastly ....like a ghost was enough to make her decide that it was best to simply get to the end and jump to the next platform despite the risk of falling to her doom.
So with a deep breathe she would move quite carefully alone the platform to it's end.

Victoria's movements would be met with the expected. The platforms would sway faintly with each jump, her feet producing a loud clank against the metal. All these were easily foresee results of her actions...what would come as odd would be when the ground beneath her feet suddenly shifted. The platform would remain perfectly still, only the floor itself would seem to move, slowly rotating her in a circular motion.
A small spark would appear in the air less then a foot off the ground, and suddenly the rotation would pick up it's pace, swiftly becoming more rapid as she was violently spun around.
If she dare to look down it would be to find two large eyes a fair distance apart and a pair of of teal noses. By hopping from panel to panel the child had inadvertently jumped on a Klink, and now it was threatening to throw her off the platform!
[Outroll me not to fall off!]
[Or leap to your doom. Either or.]

Victoria found herself losing her balance as the platform shifted. Her arms went out wide ....as she tries to flap her arms around for balance as Aella was shifting with her ....trying to help the girl keep her balance as well as the area they were on seemed to tip on them.
IF she fell ....it was a long way down, and she had no wish of falling down ......as she closed her eyes and tried with her best of efforts to angle herself better to keep her balance.

((Grrr....more so that you beat me in two places. I'm glad you didn't fall to thy doom...though it would have had an interesting effect.))
Round and round she'd go, when she'd stop...was rather abrupt. All at once both Klink would stop their perpetual spinning, causing the girl to be flung off the panel and onto the next one. It was a rather odd spot of luck. No doom, and better yet now she didn't have to jump that last portion. The Klink wouldn't bother to follow after the girl or any such thing; instead it would simply resume turning in it's place. Forever a part of the machine....though it seemed to lack a few other pieces for the time being.

(Just barely .....so close ...too close)
She would dance to the next platform. Her eyes spinning as Aella would slip a few feet down her back to her leg ....the Emogla was a bit dizzy as well ...as she took a few steps and sat down. Aella's scream was heard ...right afterwards ....since the girl sat on her. Slowly ...the Emolga would crawl out from underneath her leg ....as her tail flicks from one side to another.
That was a bit unpleasant as they both sat for a moment, until the dizzy spell passed. The girl would turn to look at where she had come, where she could have been, and realized how lucky she was as she shivers.
"That could have been unpleasant."
She declares lightly as she would stand and Aella would leap for her back. That hadn't been a lot of fun ...but they were closer to their destination now as she would start for the next platform.
One more leap and they would be at the ladder and able to go further down.
