Jordan checked the net gun over - could it fire again? Would he have to reload it? No, he remembered that from the canyon; there were at least two shots in the thing. He looked up and scanned the chaotic scene, trying to find a target that would hold still long enough to get a shot off at.

... wait, that was Robert's golem - what was he doing? Jordan's eyebrows jerked up. Must be Petra, he realized, and snorted.

A familiar flash of red caught his eye, and he turned to look. It was her - the horse. Jordan's mouth set in a grim line. Well. He knew where his next target was.

As the white haired ghoul took off, yelling a reply at him, he reached out to her, and continued to stumble onward, following, trying to hear her words. He thought she was shouting that the cloaked figure had captured one of them.

Well, he'd known that already, he just wanted to know why!

It seemed the only way to get answers was to get close enough to see what was going on, and that had required him to stumble and crawl and drag his piteously slow self ever closer to the battle that waged on in the distance.

He was finally just getting close enough to the action...when something happened.

"Oh now what!" He groaned, frowning as the area began to shimmer and change into an entirely different scene. He couldn't believe what he was seeing...but it was there, laid out in front of him.

Then suddenly it was chaos.

Xander had no idea what was going on, so he crouched to the ground and tried to look as inconspicuous as possible, as other figures in red cloaks began to shoot nets at the students. It was confusing, as the red cloaks for the most part looked like they would be students themselves.

In silent horror he watched as some of his fellow students were shot at and ensnared in the nets. Most were being helped, but one he could see...the boil that he'd been trying to eavesdrop on earlier! He was trapped in a net.

Xander scrambled over as quick as he could on all fours ( It was actually kind of funny how much faster he could move in a crawl then he could in a walk) and began to tug on the net that was wrapped around the mantis boil, attempting to free him.

"Don't worry, I'll get you ou---"

He became somewhat distracted by the sudden romantic kissing scene playing out not too far off, and gagged a little in the back of his throat.

Jude was assaulted by Reine with a hug. He blinked a bit his attention diverted and he halfly returned the hug and then he stumbled after her toward the others, "I know her," he mumbled when introduced to Eva but he didn't know Otto.

It was made it more awkward now that his hand was pressed against Otto's busty golem.

"KEEEEH!?" Jude let out suddenly in surprise. Rest assured Jude and Otto would not be making eye contact for a while after this.

Needless to say the thing that had made that threatening pose and screech at him was pretty much forgotten.

"We've met!" Eva grinned, clapping a hand on Jude's shoulder, "Good of you to join us, though! We could use your help--these things are..." She trailed off with a grimace. Good thing that this was just a golem and not her real body--those things had come for her left and right, though only two managed to land a hit.

Despite the situation they were in, she could help but laugh as Otto and Jude were introduced in the...most interesting way possible. Instead of being helpful, she hovered over Jude's shoulder. "Squishy, aren't they?"

Why!?



Jude, Reine, and Eva received a death glare from the embarrassed and enraged Otto. "Ihateyouall..." He grumped lowly, shuddering with anger.

Yǐn Cáng was disturbed. The sheer amount of public displays of affection he had seen today alone, the constant touching and flirting, was more than he had seen in a full year with the Clan. Now, watching the being that had trapped him in a net of all things kissing a winged male was more than he had ever wanted to see. If I had known this would be the result of my capture I would have tried harder not to have been captured.

He was trying to look anywhere but at his captor when an almost familiar mess of white hair came crawling toward him and began to tug at the net. A brief burst of hope blossomed in the weremantis' chest. Rescue? If he could get out of this net he could take the fight back to the cloaked figures.

But then his savior apparently caught sight of the couple behind him. "It is best if you do not look, these creatures seem to be quite," he paused, searching for the right word. "Affectionate."

Status: Captured~

Mort was stubborn...but then again, so was she, and she probably would have done the same thing if their situations were reversed. "...Thank you." She said finally, softly. After a moment, her expression became firm again, "But if someone comes at you, you drop me and run, okay?" Whether he would listen or not, she didn't know, but at least she tried.

And then Caelius was speaking. The baku visibly stiffened at his voice, a shudder running down her spine. It wasn't just Vaith and Israfel he knew. He knew Riley as well, and Amrita, and Calder...but how?

Xiu promptly began to wriggle again, trying to get free. "That...that man...he's the one responsible for Red's death!"
