The Siren Prince, Seth Solindo.

After releasing his daughter from the hug, he straightened, his expression wary as she spoke. Tabatha wasn't too far from the city, and he knew that sneaking around was not likely something to encourage. However, he was happy to see Yvette, and couldn't seem to find the will to lecture her. Perhaps later, before she left. For now, he would focus on her words, which seemed different from what he'd heard before. "They people cherish our family, and you are my first born." Even if she was female and born to an umarried woman of another race, the people had come to escape Yvette as one of their princess; she was seen as the reason in the turn around in their king's attitude when he was still their prince. Yet, despite that, Seth was surprised to hear of her desire. "I know...I had consulted your mother on the matter during your last visit." He recalled the event, a small frown appearing on his face as realized again where they were. The hall was too open, so he silently ushered Yvette to walk beside him as he returned to the pathway to his office. "Do you really want to accept your siren half in such a way?" he questioned lightly; if she did, he was willing to accept any argument from his ex, so long as his daughter was able to become closer to his side of the family.

Yvette wasn't worried about being lectured. She had an idea about how to get out of it. "But mom will always say no to it." The girl pointed out. There was no talking to her mother about. "For now lets keep it a secret and you can guide me." The girl told her father. It was the only way to get around what Tabby would want. "I'm siren and human. I can't just say I'm a siren. So I pick both paths and in this case it's the path of being a princess. Besides I'll help you look good." The girl answered. She knew that she could do it.

Keep a secret from Tabby? He repressed a shudder at the thought. Granted, he was no weakling, but he knew that the woman was strong, and that she did not want Yvette to be a princess. However, he would stand against the witch if it meant that his daughter could get the knowledge that was her birthright. "Alright, Vetty. We'll keep this secret." He continued to walk, happy to see the door to his office only a few feet away away for once in his life. The room wouldn't seem as stuffy with his daughter in it, and he would be pleased with the anti-listening spells strewn around the room. They could speak privately there, so once they reached the oak door, he opened it for them both to enter. "I do not need to use you to 'look good'." He told her with a wry smile before closing the door behind him. His gaze fell to his desk, but he chose to ignore the paperwork and filing that needed to be done; for now, he had a much more important matter to deal with. "Why do you want to be a princess now? I assure you, it's not as much fun as a Disney movie. When you get older, there will be certain expectations." He was trying to give her a fair warning, though he refrained from mentioning anything about the heir. Whoever that was to be, they would have more work than them all to do. He paused, remember another big factor in Yvette's choice; something that he was afraid would cause her to change her mind. "And...some of that hardship would be to accept your step-family."

Yvette could tell that her father did understand her joke. "Oh, but I do make you look good." She responded. "I think any man with a pretty girl hanging off his arm looks good." She joked to him so he could understand what she was saying when it came to making him look good. "That and I'm sure our people would love to see us together like a loving family." She added with a gentle smile. "I want to be a princess now because I'm old enough to make my own choices. I'm not the little girl that you can just pick up and carry now. I've grown a little more than four feet since I was born and have friends and gone to dances. I'm not as little or naive as I was before." She stated her reason that her father should allow her to become a princess like she was born to. It wasn't just her mother that may have given him this idea, but it was her younger self. She was under mothers influence when she was young and used to say such tomboy things like Lyn does now. "I know it wont be fun. I'll have to practice and educate myself how to speak, eat, and what to do in certain scenarios. Even then dad I know how to act. You can never get me to accept if my heart is not there." That was to say that she would never accept her step-family.

Her joke was understood, though he still wouldn't agree. Through all his years he knew he was attractive, and felt no need to have someone take such beauty away from him; except of course for his adorable daughter. Her admittance of a loving family brought him hope, but it was set aside once she insisted that she could never accept the other half of his family. He wanted to say something to change his mind, but kept quiet, knowing that only time could change her opinion. Eileen was a patient woman, and would surely understand Yvette's point of view. "Well, dances do show a certain maturity." he teased, knowing that such small things were very important in a growing girl's life. "But I still feel inclined to give the option to leave. For now, I would like you to learn a bit more about our country and family." That would include the current queen, but he refrained from mentioning such. Instead, he focused on the positive, which was apparent as he spoke. "Then, if you still feel as you do now, you will be given private tutors, though they will likely speak in Spanish." He rose a brow, remembering that his daughter knew some of the language. However, he would do his best to find her someone to teach her more of the language.

Yvette was stubborn and she knew that she would have to do a lot more studying. Her father was probably going to push her hard so that she could catch up. "Don't worry. Mom pushed me when I turned five to take Spanish classes. I'm eleven now so that's six years of Spanish." The girl responded she would do well until someone said a word that she wasn't familiar with. "The only problem is that I can't just come and go. I'll need a teleporter." The girl told her father. They needed to make sure that she would be able to do things like that.

Please to hear of the lessons, he nodded, hoping that her Spanish was fluent enough to pass. He would have time to test her, as she needed to learn plenty of simpler things before a tutor would be called. His concerns were put aside as she spoke again, causing him to nod in agreement. "That would be useful." He turned from her, moving to a drawer in his desk. After opening it, he rummaged for a few seconds until finding the teleporter he normally used when trying to get somewhere quickly. "Take this, and don't lose it." he told her seriously, not wanting to imagine the problems that could arise should someone else get ahold of it abd enter the castle. Still, he felt that she would act responsibly, and he would be able to pick up a new teleporter by tomorrow. With that settled, he allowed a small smile to return to his face as he thought of something else to give his daughter. "Close your eyes, Vetty." He waited until she did as he said, then turned back to his desk. Kneeling on the ground, he found his favorite hidden compartment, and managed to open it with ease after remembering the combination needed. Inside were pictures, jewels, and a few assorted letters. He paid most of these items little heed, as his gaze fell to the thing he was looking for: a silver circlet with a single turqouis gem. Picking it up, he returned to Yvette, gently holding it as he spoke to her. "You can look now. This used to be your cousin's, but I think that for now, it would look wonderful on you."

There was no way she was going to lose the teleporter. They weren't cheap. The only people who had portable ones were people who have a bit of money to spend. "There is no way that I'd lose it." She promised. She didn't even want to leave it where her mother would find it. If her mother used it to find out where she was going and found that it went here instead of some boys house then she would flip. When her father asked her to close her eyes the girl obeyed. She was sure he had something that he wanted to show her without her knowing were the secret was until he was ready. When he told her to open she did so. In front of her was a circlet. She knew that she could never let her mother know about it. "It's cool. I'll have a reason to by a new dress now." She joked a little.

After letting Yvette examine the circlet for a few moments, he raised his arms to place it on her head. It fell snuggly against her forehead, allowing Seth to breath a sigh of relief that it happened to fit her so well. He smiled warmly, having assumed after the last visit that she would never want to wear such a thing; it proclaimed her status, though it wasn't nearly as grand as the tiara she would someday wear as princess. "You'll have plenty of reasons to buy new dresses." He assured her with a wry smile of his own. Her joke was taken well, and he was sure that she would manage to keep both the teleporter and circlet out of her mother's knowledge. "Now, I have work and you need to get home." he told her, afraid that if she spent any more time here, Tabby would discover her absence. Still, after giving Yvette another hug, he stood and told her, "I'll have a room prepared for your next visit. And we'll start your studies right away."

Yvette looked at the two prizes she got from her trip. She probably needed to buy more than just a new dress. At ever super major ball she would need to by a new dress while at the minor balls she would just re use an old one. "When is the next time that I can come back?" The girl asked. She probably could come back anytime, but she'd rather know if there was a time her father wanted her to come back to start her studies or do some public event. She wondered if she could invite her friends. Most of them were prince and princesses too and probably had to go through lessions.

The Siren Prince, Seth Solindo.

For a few moments, Seth considered her question. His work seemed like a never ending pile, but he would force some work back if it meant preparing Yvette for the ways of royalty. "The soonest would be in three days." It would take that long for him to rearrange his schedule, but he wanted his daughter to be prepared for the next ball; should she do well enough, he would love for her to make an appearance, though he would need to find some way to keep any media out, or else chance letting Tabatha discover what was going on. "We'll start with your speech. So come prepared for talking." He grinned, teasing her lightly as he thought about who could be used to represent the different roles; his family was the logical choice, and he made a mental note to request their help.

Yvette smiled at her dad. She was going to do her best from now on. She probably wasn't going to get as much free time with her friends, but it would be worth it. She was going to do it the best she knew how to. "Okay so I'll see you in three days dad." She told her father as she gave him a hug and kissed his cheek before getting back up to the roof. She knew that she didn't have a lot of time and she should disappear before anyone noticed that she was gone.

Yvette smiled as she teleported into the castle. She had a couple of pictures of her mother. She wanted to test if her father really did still like her mom. If he could be bribed with pictures of his ex-girlfriend then there was some truth to what her distant cousin was saying. "Dad." She called out. She knew that she would have to lose in order to win. Maybe a quick game of speed would help out or a group of quick games.

The Siren King, Seth Solindo.

With the expectation of his daughter's arrival, Seth was standing in the room he knew she would appear in. The transporter he'd given her was proving to be very useful, and he was pleased when she arrived on time. Her voice drew his attention, and he gave her a large smile to accompany his hug. "Hola, Yvette." His greeting was smooth, but he was prepared to switch to complete English should she prefer it. He had a few lessons prepared for her, and was honestly excited to teach her about his home and people; after all, it was half of her bloodline, and she deserved to know about it.

The girl smile at her father. She was glad he was there already. "Hola, como estas?" She asked her father as she pulled over her bag. "I nearly didn't make it in time. Mom is at a photoshoot. they started to come out with model collector cards with different outfits she models in." The girl held up one of the cards for her father to see. If he touched them he would leave a trace of himself there and she would find it by the magic in the card. She held up the one that had her mother revealing the most skin. Part of her hoped that her father would say the cards were something that she shouldn't have and take them for herself so that way she knew. "Excuse me I need to go to the bathroom first." She added before making a dash for the restroom.
