Something broke.

"GET BACK!" Celsus screamed, and flung the new page behind him, staggering backwards in a pathetic attempt at sheltering her from the sudden roar of fury and bloodthirst that had risen among the Negaverse and Dark Moon Court. He did not know exactly what had happened - but he had seen the purple haired general throw himself on a senshi, blood spattering the rocks around him as he stabbed her mercilessly.

"No," whispered Celsus, and flung himself forward, away from the new page, away from the chaos, towards the nearest Negaverse agent - a young woman with blonde hair who was laughing as she stomped a boot onto a senshi who did not get up.

"STOP ITTTT!"

He had wanted to shove them away, throw himself on her to get her off of his fallen comrade, but she disappeared - literally - and Celsus was left standing there without his attempted target.

"Bloody hell - !"

It - whatever It was - had indeed come, and it was not the Mother Space Squirrel. For a moment Darwin felt a twinge of relief, but only for a moment, because then everything dissolved into chaos. Darwin was reduced to running around uselessly, trying to stay out of the good not-aliens' ways and trying to avoid the bad not-aliens.

Draconis did 1 pathetic damage lmao
Draconis took a few paralyzed steps back as she watched Fluorite stab a super senshi. The screams seemed to echo in her ears, eating everything else. Metallia didn't matter, her family didn't matter.

All that mattered was that one super senshi who had been fighting to save some people, or even just to save themselves. The echoed sobs and pleads for mercy, the screams of pain. Tears welled up in Draconis' eyes.

If you knew Draconis post-Surrounding, you would know one thing. Draconis was not someone who cried. She would never cry, ever. Not by herself, and especially not in front of people. Something about Fluorite stabbing that senshi broke some part of Draconis. She was sobbing now, uncontrollably.

With whatever strength and pride she had left as a senshi, she bolted towards the beast with all the Draconian fury she possessed. "DRACONIS BREATH OF FLAME" she screamed, and sent a flamethrower of senshi power straight at the beast. It basically missed, but her point was made. She was done messing around.

---

Layton, however, was experiencing something very different. It was overbearing, completely overbearing. A pressure was pushing on her blobby form. She hadn't felt anything since dying, nothing at all. Nothing but emotions. No heat, no cold. Just neutrality.

This new presence though... she felt it. It was like someone put bricks on her head and was whispering evil words in her ears. She ducked behind a rock. She was done playing hero now, she wanted to play Layton. Just Layton.

There it is again.

Hazel eyes turned skyward to search for the source, but once again she saw nothing but the stars and the great black frame of the skeletal dragon that was working so hard to get within the walls to destroy them all.

She shivered again, pale lids fluttering, and held herself all the tighter. Cringing away from that sound, and yet not entirely. She couldn't not listen to that terrifying voice, and that in and of itself was a little disturbing.

The sudden bright flare of the sun had her snapping her eyes shut, head turning automatically from the glare. She knew, somehow, that that eerie voice was the cause of it. That was power worthy of respect, not the continuous failed attempts of the senshi to keep them all alive or worst yet, send them home. How hard was it? And yet here they still were.

Let none survive.

She shuddered, retreating a step, though there was no immediate foe attacking her. The people that had come with the beast were screaming, howling their rage, and Felicia was having less and less doubts that they'd eventually win this, and the command of the voice would most certainly be carried out.

It settled on her quickly, an invisibility that was only offset by her husky, violent laugh. It echoed, as she moved, now independent of allies she had long since forgotten.

When she reappeared, it was behind Sailor Scylla, one freckled arm moving to slide around the Eternal's neck, tightening as she tried to lift the shorter girl with her increased strength, choking her.

"Succumb," the words were a hoarse, dark whisper, as she passed on the lost of control she had helped return to the Great Youma.

Shoving the senshi toward her own allies, Howlite found herself in the thick of them, and began to fight, indiscriminate.

God damn everything and everyone in the negaverse. As he attacked the youma, he didn't look to the side, and it would cost him. The general King's bombs impacted on his side, and the prince fell back with a cry. The haze of the smoke came and Castor felt the familiar burn of it in his eyes. Nose and mouth stung with the pain of the spreading smog, seeking to cut him out and off from his senses. Wings began to rapidly to get the burning smoke away but the damage had been done.

Hissing through his teeth, the senshi prince looked at the general. Until he realized just what was different. His bombs had never had a force behind them before. He'd never been this awash in chaos, and- "Lina wished you to have been free-" Getting up, Castor hoped his wife would understand. Zink had left him with no other choice. He'd simply gone to far. "She wanted to save you but now?" Game over.

"You're a dead man walking."

Sugilite's head turned towards the cry of the attack, tilting curiously, cat-like. It was noise, it was movement, it was a senshi. It was a target. She charged towards Draconis, attempting to tackle the girl to the ground. She brought her arms towards the girl, trying to wrap around her waist and drag her down, heeled feet kicking at the girl. The only noise Sugilite made was a snarl, inhuman in every part. It wasn't nearly as impressive as the Great Youma, but in some ways it echoed the noises of the great beast.

"Hematite," the Zodiac Captain said, sweetly; the rush of anger was intoxicating. The sight of the one who'd tied her Princess to a chair and left her to die in agony off his balance was even more so. Defiance, she thought, was sweet. Here was someone who'd tried to secure her death three times that she knew of, and here, on her home, she held the upper hand--he looked upset, he looked afraid! She laughed in his face, digging her bronze-painted fingernails into his shirt, tried to rip it away--

The pair of them were blown back by the end of the youma's attack together, and when they landed Virgo found herself straddling his chest, one hand pressed to his collarbone to keep him down. Her response was almost automatic; she'd done the same to Zue more than once in this life, and she drew back her hand for a punch, slamming it hard across his face. All she could think was: This is Hematite, he tried to kill me, he did kill me, he killed the Princess and Leo and Avery and Sebastian, he'd do it again. It repeated in her mind, blocking all else; awareness of the battle faded to nothing but her and the armored General. "Couldn't stand leaving it unfinished, could you," she asked, breathlessly, laughing. Revenge at last, even the injuries accumulating from any number of injured senshi and knights didn't, couldn't, stop her from laughing.

"You should have died. All of you!" In the confusion and the chaos, Hematite's weapon was knocked away. He was disarmed, despairing, and at Virgo's complete lack of mercy while he tried to work up the focus to retrieve the sword. "You shouldn't be alive!"

There was a voice cutting through everything, even the animosity between Negaverser and Zodiac. Hematite only heard it distantly, overlaid with Virgo's mocking voice and crowing laughter. But the last three words Metallia spoke drowned out even that, and the was the roar of the youma that drowned out everything else.

Underneath Virgo the pinned Negaverser suddenly rose up even under her weight and knocked her aside with the swing of an arm, strength inhuman even for a Negaverse general. Virgo was smashed against a heavy pauldron on her way to the ground. She only had a moment or two to collect her thoughts before a fist slammed into the ground inches from Virgo's face. Above her, Hematite's eyes burned with bestial fury.

And just as much as his strength seemed to increase exponentially, so did his speed. Virgo was being lifted into the air by collar and bow and tossed like a ragdoll into a nearby group of people. Senshi, Knights, Negaversers, it hardly mattered who he had hit with the Zodiac. Unlike mere moments ago, he didn't waste a second.

Ganymede shivered again. He didn’t like this feeling at all. He could feel the goosebumps rising on his skin, and his stomach gave a twist and a turn that made him wish he could go find a corner somewhere and be sick. He swallowed down against it, forced himself to remain as calm as possible, and was only slightly pleased when he managed it, because it still didn’t stop the feeling that things had just gone from bad to worse.

He threw other rock, aware all the while how useless it might be. What good was a freaking rock when the youma they were fighting was so large? What good was any of this when there were people falling everywhere, Negas raging and bearing down on them and threatening to rip them apart?

What the ******** were they supposed to do?

He looked to Pasiphae when she gripped his shoulder, and he managed a small smile, nodding at her. “Right. We’re in this together.”

He went back to picking up rock after rock, throwing here, throwing there, trying to do his best to do some damage to the youma, even as he questioned when good it would do. He turned again when he heard Pasiphae’s warning and saw the crazed looked in Benitoite’s eyes as the Negaverse Captain attacked with his paintbrush – which, for someone who worked around art supplies on a daily basis, seemed rather ludicrous in a way – and acted quickly, lashing out with his foot to try and catch Benitoite with a vicious kick.

He might not have great aim or the strongest swing. His arms were pretty thin, after all. But after a lifetime of ballet, his legs were ******** amazing, and he made use of them now.

Raven ghost all but purred at the voice, it sending more chills down her...er...sparkles. She was gleeful, Let none survive! Kill the senshi, kill the fools who didn't protect anyone, kill them, make them pay!

It had become a sort of mantra, the most coherent thought going through the former cheerleaders see through mind. They would pay. This...voice...This voice would help this to happen. The voice would see to it that all of the self righteous senshi were punished for letting her die, for letting them...no, for leading them up here in the first place.

The ghost rippled with anger, diving for the nearest senshi, causing another bump in the road, gleeful when she felt them fall over the lump.

One of them down. She would do what she had to. Do what she had to.

She would make them pay. Make them pay. Make them pay!

Literal ghosts moved across the battlefield, unseen but not unhead - a low, downright chilling chuckle accompanied the movements of the eternal negaverse senshi, chilling.

It would have been much more effective to be silent, but it wasn't like he'd thrown up in his attack in sound mind to begin with.

There was one knight - a poor little page, clueless and helpless. Alone. He didn't know what planet he served - didn't matter.

It fought for order.

Ergo, he had to die. Suddenly, the page screamed, then dropped dead - as if struck by an unseen hand.

Alunite came back into view again seconds after that, clutching his prize - the brilliant starseed of what would have been of the galaxy's saviors.

Revenge, vengeance for the one page starseed that had escaped his grasp... Had there been any lucidity left in him, he would have hoped Camelot had seen this.

Draconis panted after her failure of an attack on the beast. The broken piece of her still wasn't fixed. It was all wrong. Just wrong. How could any human do that to another human? Well that just settled the argument: negaverse couldn't be human. They were monsters.

So she was caught off guard when Sugilite tackled her from the side. Draconis went down with a loud thump, and her arm crunched underneath her side. It hurt like crazy, but it didn't appear broken. Her left arm wasn't going to be used any time soon.

"You b***h," she screeched. Draconis kicked the girl off of her, and then punched whatever she could reach. "GET AWAY FROM HERE YOU ANIMALS," she shouted. It was directed at Sugilite, but it was a clear message to the negaverse as a whole. Get out of our court.

The page was thrown back with a scream and she landed heavily on the ground. And then she was very much alone as Celsus ran off. Suddenly she was out in the open for anyone to get to and she pulled her self. She ran after Celsus as his target disappeared. She grabbed him by the arm and pulled him up.

"Where did they go?! And why are they lusting for blood like rabid wolves?" she asked, eyes flicking around.

[Virgo: 13
Gunn: 18

The Professional Prophet

Virgo was not afraid, and jubilant in it. The only way it could get better was if he fought back--words aside, she was starting to hesitate. She cared about how she looked to people, and though they weren't watching now... Oh well. She was drawing back her fist for another punch, digging her fingernails in just over his collarbone, when her seat on Hematite was quite neatly upset. His arm slammed into her side with force like a locomotive, and she hissed--loudly--when her face collided with the armor on his shoulder. A fist flew towards her face and she jerked her head to the side so hard her neck popped.

She would not laugh any more. The fury in his eyes was, in a word, terrifying; she didn't want to have a fight against an enemy made unreasonable by rage. She wasn't trained for something like that, Chaos monsters didn't know emotion. But she'd handle it. She would have revenge. She would see Hematite bleed out on the ground, or blown up, or set aflame and left to watch his own skin melt.

All the things he'd done to her, to the other Zodiacs, to the students of Barren Pines, she'd see him suffer through. Eventually. It'd take a while, but she'd walk him through it.

Then he hefted her up and threw her, sending her crashing into what felt like a hundred other people. But the human barrier meant she could get back to her feet a lot faster--fast like she'd have to be to go toe-to-toe with Hematite as he was. But she could handle it, and she would. She charged him again, jumping and bringing up her knee, aiming the hard point for his solar plexus. "We shouldn't be but we are!" Breathless, she slipped to the ground, stepped back. No matter what emotions he was pretending to feel, it ought to buy her a bit of time. "What does that tell you? You were wrong, Hematite! You're all wrong!"

Sylent Nyte
Sailor Leto's grin immediately disappeared as her eyes met with Gunn's- her once teammate and superior. Her eyes narrowed when the other girl hissed the word traitor at her. "You're just confused, Gunn!" She shouted at her and then the girl's fist was in her gut and knocking the wind out of her. She stumbled backwards coughing when suddenly a feeling came over her. A feeling of complete and utter blinding hatred and rage.

She clenched her fists and ran at Gunn, leaping in an attempt to tackle her to the ground. "Join us or die like everyone else!"

She heard the familiar voice of another past team-mate as Scylla called her name. She'd get to that one eventually- if she didn't come to her first.
Gunn took the blow hard, but didn't fall; the brown-gloved hands came up as her feet slid apart with the effort to hold herself still in place. Those hands shoved her enemy back, slamming into Leto's shoulders and watching her stagger back. "Dumb b***h," she said, "you think that what you're doing is right?" The redhead shook her head, curls ripped free of her french braid falling into her face to hide the cold blue eyes. "It's not. And you're going to burn for it." It took only a breath to inform Leto of her changed status in Gunn's eyes, a breath and little more; passion was a mercurial emotion, and the love for her Blood Moon family had soured into hate in the moment she'd heard of Ares's betrayal.

She ran forward, about to drop a fist into Leto's face, as hard as she could.
