Bix didn't know what to think. He was blinded, he was floating, there was talking and he felt left out of the convo. He barely remembered what was said when he was back aware. What exactly happened again? What was this wicked headache? Hadn't they been fighting only seconds before.
Mina was quiet but Bix knew she was there. He could feel her defensively curled in on herself. It had happened several times on their trip. Perhaps his ultimate weapon was not so ultimate? If he'd been any more together right now he'd definitely give her a cocky remark, but now didn't seem to be an appropriate time.
His friends were also there, uninjured for the most part, and it was only seconds before Dr. H was once again sending them out.
Nothing's changed? Were they going back into the house?
Bix gave the guys a silent eye and followed out of the tent.

CASS felt cheated as well, frowning lightly before she looked to Marcus, almost seeming to pout at the lack of things for them to run around and shoot and stab and all the good things. This was just... boo!
"Well that was a tease!" she pouted, wrapping the chain around her waist again before pausing, taking the uniform jacket she was wearing over her own off of her shoulders and hanging it over her arm. She'd toss it onto Jeremy when she saw him next to maybe spare him a reprimand...maybe. None the less, she looked back to Marcus and shrugged.
"I have no idea. Maybe if we follow we'll get to fight more of those things!" she seemed excited by the idea. Even if her way of saying 'things' was venomous as always.

But before they could meet, the whiteness had enveloped everything.

"HHUHHH!?? HEY LET UP b*****d AND TELL ME IF YOU'RE DO-" Bul was still raving wildly at the death hunter when he felt a shot of sudden violent pain in his backside that caused him to roar out and lash around as if he were about to come charging at Gale like a giant ******** ram.
Instead however, he staggered forwards a little and "hmphed" as he seemed to share his prideful shot with the others and IGNORED the plotting to shoot him again.
Was he Dr. H? No, clearly he was just a skinny little meatsack that would only drag him down if he made the effort of attacking. While full of rage Bul was not completely berserk and had to choice his target wisely less he ruin this battle for himself. A fight now meant no energy later... and the longer that Cael grew visibly mad the more Bul felt the inclination that maybe... just maybe this WASN'T Dr. H. Perhaps this feeling came far too late when something practically erupted in the gauntlet around him. At the risk of being caught off guard by the noise he slithered quickly around some cages for cover when the Soul Harvester began to burst into 'overdrive' and before he could react to the denizens being taunted and brought to the ground...

There was a bright flash of light and then the monsters were suddenly just gone. Ennéa blinked and looked around uncertainly at the few remaining hunters standing around in the tent. Did they win?
She sagged and took a deep shuddery breath. Did it even matter? Ennéa leaned heavily on her axe; Baraz was being uncharacteristically silent and didn't offer any opinion on the situation.
A couple of the hunters were heading back outside. Ennéa watched for a couple moments and then followed.

It seemed worrying about a target was something he didn't have to worry about for too long, it almost seemed as if he blinked and everything was gone - it was almost as if in a moment everything was quiet just as it had been chaotic moments prior. His heart pounded fiercely in his chest the adrenaline making him unwilling to calm down.
Dr. H making commands snapped him out of his thoughts as he quietly de-summoned his weapon back to its former state before he turned and retreated out of the tent before he gained more than just a tersely worded order to keep going about what he was doing.
Yom uttered a soft sigh, 'Firssst time you ussse me for real and it isss once.'
Jude noted the disappointment but didn't comment on it as he exited the tent.

So the monsters had disappeared. All of them, even the captives. Davey couldn't blame Caelius as the man stormed from the tent. All that work, all that fighting... for nothing. Davey was annoyed and this wasn't his command or his personal mission/obsession/whatever-Caelius-had-going-for-the-Soul-Harvester. Unrequited love affair for all Davey knew - or cared.
Gale was gripping his arm, Davey realised. When his arm was released, Davey patted the shorter guy on the shoulder. Gale had done well. They all had. It just hadn't been enough, in the end.
"Let's go," Gale said, exiting out into the main yard.
Davey lingered until the Doctor told him to go ahead. "Text me if you need me," he said before following Gale and Bix out. Much as he didn't like Dr. H, Davey was smart enough to know that what the science department did in the labs was just as important as what Caelius had them do out in the field. Davey would go where he was needed, no matter who it meant working for.
But for now, at least, it seemed he would have a break from the acid tongue of the doctor and Clarice. He let the tent flap fall closed behind him as he left.

A sudden whiteness, and Glen was left hanging outside everything. The adrenaline of his final little assault was still singing in his veins, that sense of camradarie that had propelled him, even intolerably weak, to still assault Cael, despite being so much smaller and more pitiful than him.
He heard the conversation, the words baffling to him, confusing him even further. But he was tired, so very tired and even the words seemed to move slowly in his exhausted mind. He couldn't draw any conclusions at all from them.
The soul harvester was so pretty, it occured to him as he looked upon her as everything seemed to return in slow motion to his adrenaline sharpened senses. It was a childish little thought, some pang of familiarity for the person he'd never known. He'd never known her, right? He couldn't even remember.
And then suddenly WHAM and everything became real again. Too real. The pain was too much and he was aware of it, agony roaring in his veins. It was as if he'd sprung a leak and his lifeblood was just melting away, ticking away like the clocks he'd briefly heard.
And he was alone.
Laying sprawled on the floor where he'd woken, unable to move, all he could think of was that he was alone, he couldn't even see the faces of his family in his mind as everything slowly ebbed away from him. Tears began to run down his cheeks, not tears of sadness, but tears of anger, anger and frustration at the injustice of it all. He'd had so much more to give, so much more fight, so many friends to make. And now there'd never be the chance.
"Never ...enough ********." was the last he managed to say as the world faded to black. With his final gasping breath adding only a very breathy.
"Ahm sorry."
And then not only the world faded to black but him too, dissapating with the same permanence as his fellows.

One minute they were there, and the next a flash of blinding white light took them away. Well if that wasn't the biggest wangblock ever. Leon uttered a TSK before slipping away his chainsaw to its desummoned state and pushed up his safety goggles in irritation. "Looks like they got away, dammit." All the anger he was feeling must have wicked its way to Master Caelius as he went on a rampage over the wasted chance. he never imagined that the guy had such a colorful language too.
He didn't say much more about the whole ordeal others than a "Let's go" to the remaining members in his group and tapping them on a shoulder before heading back out. however the smirk on his face said all.
That there were things here to hunt and that it wouldn't be the last time they came across them. "Run fast little spider, before your web gets crushed with you along with it."

Cass looked up at Leon and nodded when he tapped on her shoulder. "Alright!" she agreed, looking to Marcus pausing to slip her hand into his before she started walking to leave the tent. "Better get moving before the boss-man gets after us, mm?" she half-suggested, but was quick to follow after the boxer and Jude who took the lead from them.
It was probably best to keep moving.

He awoke to total blackness.
And panic.
There was a clattering noise as Ren jerked abruptly, his body seizing violently in a horrified frenzy of pure panic flowed through his veins, waking up to nothing, to metal. Something felt wrong - something felt very wrong.
He couldn't feel his FEAR. Why couldn't he feel his FEAR - ?!
It was always there, even if he didn't use it; it was in his blood, his head, his very heart and what might have been a soul, but now he could not even call on it, he could not feel that familiar tingling in his mind anymore.
The sensation was utterly new and completely terrifying.
His eyes finally adjusting to his new surroundings, Ren's hands shifted automatically, an almost desperate transformation, into long talons that clattered noisily against the metal bars on every side of him, a horrible screech of metal against claws. He was in a cage of some sort - a cage, barely large enough for him to fit into. Around him there were others, but they some were tipped over and broken, the shattered remains of various objects lying across the floor. Was it...a tent..? Ren's eyes searched the torn canvas walls, the faint, dusty light that flickered in and out.
His head felt light; he was clearly not as strong as he had been. What had happened? They had all been in the room together, he and Gabrian and -
Gabrian. Coralie. Jove. Tybalt.
"GABRIAN!"
Ren's scream was hoarse and desperate, thrashing about in the cage like a wild animal, uncaring of the noise he was making. "GABRIAN! JOVE! OH, JACK, CORA! TYBALT!"
He didn't care that he was not friends with the black dog; he didn't care that he and Tybalt had been squabbling like two little kids, didn't care that he had been scared by the water he'd waded into. Right now he would have given anything to be back there, back with the others. The cages on all sides of him were difficult to see into, given the angle of his own. Ren twisted his head, attempting to see who the occupants were -
- and caught a glimpse of familiar emerald hair, then pale skin - a wisp of black smoke, a witch's hat -
"GABRIAN! JOVE! CORA! TYBALT!"

Tybalt awoke with a start when Ren screamed their names; almost hitting his head off the top of his cage.
The last thing he recalled was being attacked by some short cloaked person with an impossibly large axe in that room full of water. Now? He was in some cramped little cage with blue electric bars keeping him in and oddly enough the familiar sight of blue electricity did not comfort him in the least.
"I'm here! Would you quit yelling!" He snapped, wincing a little at his own voice. "What is this place?" He spoke again, lowering his voice to a harsh whisper, confused. Though he didn't dare press his face too close to the 'bars.' Maybe he could try phasing out...
Pushing himself off the ground, he prepared himself to phase through like he normally would. After all, it wouldn't be too hard. He had gotten the hang of it by now. Only... it didn't work.
"I can't phase through..."
Now that he realized it, something just didn't feel right and not just the whole caged thing either. It felt like most, if not all his Fear was gone. What exactly was going on?

Much like Tybalt, it was the assault on his ears that roused the little wisp from his unconscious state, and instantly put him into an alarmed state. The shouts had him looking around in a panic, and seeing nothing familiar beyond the cold iron drove him deeper into his fright.
Jove snarled and threw himself at the bars in a bruteball tackle Seiji would have been proud of. But it was no more effective than on the field. And instead of being simply knocked over, he felt a strong jolt of electricity run through him. He gave a loud yelp, and threw himself at the bars again, this time on the side facing Tybalt.
The pain broke through his panicked fear, and he flopped back onto the cold cage bottom to think things through. The last thing he remembered was the guy with the giant axe, dressed in a manner that was impossible for the pup to forget. This time he didn't have a giant book to wallop their aggressor with...
He growled a little, feeling weird and hollow inside. What was this place?
