Nodding in response to the other student's first question, the girl wondered just why that would come as a surprise. Were new students not so common here? Maybe she shouldn't have said anything. At Lorina's comment about sleeping all day, she smiled faintly, pleased to hear that she wasn't the only one who thought of sleeping on such a nice day. As another student was mentioned, she nodded in acceptance of this. "I don't really know where anything is, actually. I just got here a few hours ago, so I don't even know what there is to find." she wasn't sure how she would find Lorina either, but she supposed it would be easier than locating someone she didn't know at all.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn""Ah, you're very new. But hey, we all have to start there sometime." She maintained her smile, more as an attempt of being friendly rather than cheerful. Whil personally, Lorina loved to explore the new side of things, she'd been told on several occasions that most people didn't share those thoughts. "At least you know that everyone here has something in common. Magic." Glancing down as her cat successfuly managed to drag a shoelace, which caused the knot she'd tied to come undone, she continued to speak. "Will you be alright finding your way to your dorm?" Kneeling for a moment, she retied the shoe before giving her cat a warning glare; which, despite all efforts, would probably go unheeded.

As Lorina's smile stayed in place, Ciel managed to relax gradually. She nodded at the other girl's point about magic, pleased that she hadn't somehow been mistaken about such. The reason her brother had chosen to teach here was because of the magical presence, making it easier to persuade their parents that it would be good for the younger sibling. So far, Ciel was settling in nicely, or so she hoped. Drawn from her thoughts at the question, she glanced about briefly to collect her bearings and choose the best way to return to the dorms. "Yes, I think so..." she dropped off, no more confident than she sounded. However, she did not want to intrude and ask for assistance.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn"Looking back to Ciel when she answered the question, Lorina's brow rose for a moment, clearly unconvinced by her statement. Sparing a glance toward the direction of dorms, she motioned vaguely as she spoke. "Well, as long as you know that it's that way-", she pointed, giving a more specific direction now, in the opposite direction from which she'd fallen from the tree. "-then I think you'll be fine." It was early enough that she felt little point in returning, but there was still some time before she had to be off campus to meet a friend. An idea struck her then, and she offered it to the girl. "You know though, perhaps I can give you a mini tour? Complete with a welcoming meal at the end?"

Looking in the direction indicated, the shifter eyed it carefully. It did look familiar, but then again it was also similar to multiple other directions that she could possibly take. Ciel nodded to accept the girl's judgement, resigning herself to wandering in that direction until he inevitably stumbled upon it. Turning her attention back to Lorina at her offer, a smile flashed across her features before disappearing. "I would hate to intrude." she objected, not wanting to bother the other student. Even if she did think the tour would be handy, and the suggestion of food was most welcome, she still would hate to make the other student go out of her way.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn"Preparing her answer as she saw the girl's smile, she had to stop herself from speaking immediately when Ciel spoke. Ah, she was so polite! Pausing, she shook her head, emphasizng the first sound she made with a roll of her wrist, causing the palm of her hand to flop down as she spoke. "Psh, I wouldn't be offering if it intruded on anything I have to do." Taking a step toward the campus, she twisted to walk backwards; planning on doing so until Ciel made the choice of whether to join her or not. Her cat, however, had seemingly chosen to go on ahead, and Lorina briefly wondered if her calico was planning on sleeping inside their dorm instead of walking around the campus.{ooc: I spent, like, five minutes trying to describe the motion of a wrist flop. Pausing as the other girl begin to walk away, her eyes moved to glance at the cat briefly before turning her attention back to Lorina. The other girl was walking backwards now, as if waiting for her. Not wanting to disappoint her, and not wanting to end up lost, she moves after the other student just fast enough to catch up before slowing slightly to keep pace. "Okay. Thank you." she smiled tentatively, unsure of herself. Was this how people made friends? Or was the other girl just this nice? She didn't really know, and chose not to worry about it. "Where do we start?" she questioned, glancing about the area curiously.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn"Happy to see the girl join her, Lorina spun to face the direction in which she was walking. It wouldn't be much trouble to find something of relative importance nearby, as most of the campus was arranged clearly. Ther were even plenty of short-cuts to use once a student became accustomed to the grounds, but she ignored those routes for now. They wouldn't be much help to Ciel yet. "Alright...let's see. The sporting buildings are close by. We'll walk past them on our way to the fields." They exited the group of trees, and it became apparant that her earlier assumption about the cat was true; Patches sauntered off at a diagonal , leaving the two girls for the warmth of Lorina's blankets.
Noting her cat's departure, she continued to speak in her best rendition of a tour guide. "Okay, here is the skating rink. Beside it is the pool, followed by the gym. To your right is a set of bathrooms." She pointed to each building and area respectively as they walked, pausing between every few locations to allow a few moments for Ciel to process what was being said, as well as to catch a look of the places. After all, Lorina knew she would make a poor actress someday if she couldn't keep her 'guidee' from being overwhelmed. "The ROTC barracks are around the corner, along with the football and soccer fields. There's a track around the football field. So, any questions thus far?"

Looking about the area, Ciel did her best to keep track of where everything was, forming a mental map of the campus. She nodded to show that she was listening, pausing in her glancing about momentarily to flash the other student a thankful smile. It was truly exciting for her to be out and about instead of hiding away in her room; she was glad that it seemed the school had some friendly students, as she had grown used to the kids at public human schools who usually just poked fun at or simply avoided the new kid.
Shifting her attention to the various sports facilities, they widened slightly. This school must be huge to have so many different things dedicated to fitness! And weren't barracks for the military? Did they have some sort of mini branch here? That was interesting. At the mention of a track, she perked up slightly. She had ran track at the various schools she had attended, much to her parent's chagrin. "Is there a track club here?" she questioned, quite curious. She had been quite good at the long distance races, as well as the hurdles.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn"After a few moments, it seemed that Ciel did have a question, and Lorina quickly opened her mouth to answer. However, she paused and closed her mouth before looking slightly upwards. Running through a quick list of clubs mentally, she shook her head as she answered. "I don't think so." While she wasn't usually a sports enthusiast, the imp knew the importance of staying in shape; so she wondered breifly why no one had created the club before. "But you could always start one." she said brightly. "That'd be a great way to meet more students who have a common interest, well, besides being magical, of course." She'd started walking again, and as they turned the corner near the fields, she added onto the list of sporting areas. "Oh, there's also the tennis courts, and horse stables beyond that, but it is a bit of a trek." She paused again, waiting for any more questions or comments before they moved closer to the classrooms and such.

Still looking about with wide, curious eyes, Ciel paused to look at Lorina as she spoke. She seemed a bit disappointed that there was no track club, though she could always harass her older brother to go running with her. At the mention of making a new club, she pursed her lips in thought. Well, that was an option. Lorina had a point, at least, about meeting new people. She would keep it in mind. Looking in the direction indicated, she gave a short nod to show that she understood. She didn't have much interest in either tennis or horses, so she didn't mind moving on. "Are you in any clubs?" she questioned, curious as to the girl's interests as well as what sort of clubs were on campus.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn"After recieving a nod from Ciel, Lorina continued to walk ahead, although she kept close in order to answer the girl's question. "Not anymore. I used to be apart of the music club, though." She shrugged before continuing. "It was fun, but I found acting to be even more fun." Veering to the right, she continued talking as a group of students passed the girls. "But I've thought about joining Journalism. You know, in case I never make it big. It's always good to have a back up plan." She shrugged again, her expression light as they stopped near a cluster of large buildings. For a few minutes, she tried to think of the best explanation for the rooms, but after several moments, she chose to simply say, "Here are the class rooms. Every building is lettered, with every room numbered. I'm not where everything is, but any teacher can give you a map."

Accepting this information, she made a note to have her brother secure maps and to then give her one. She thought about clubs, considering it a moment. "Is there a drama club?" she had enrolled in a drama class, so perhaps the teacher also oversaw a club? That would certainly make sense, anyway. Pulled from her thoughts as Lorina continued to speak, she nodded at the comment about having a back up; that would certainly be a wise decision. As the class buildings approached, the eyed them carefully, as if trying to glean some sort of information out of them. Were they just classrooms or were there lecture halls? She hoped that the school had provided her brother a lab, something that would certainly be important for his subject. "How many class buildings are there?"

That would be- Pausing as her gaze swept over one of the several bulletain boards, she took a few steps closer. After reading a certain poster, she smiled and turned back around as she finished her answer. "Nevermind, they do now. And I'll be joing asap. Ciel, it seems you have great timing." She laughed lightly, returning to her spot beside the shapeshifter as the next question reached her ears. Thinking for a moment, she did a quick count in her head. "Three. Math and Science in one. History and English in another. The last one has a mojaority of the electives, like art and music."

Glancing at the bulletin boards as well, the shifter made a note of all the different clubs and activities on campus. These were certainly useful, and she was glad that they seemed to be scattered across campus. "Which is the sciences one?" she questioned, once again looking at the buildings she could see. Her brother would be in the building home to Math and Sciences, as Anthropology certainly wouldn't fit in among the other buildings. He would be so peeved if he had been mistakenly put in the history building. With all the different clubs and classes and other activities running through her head, she was beginning to get a little overwhelmed. There was so much to take in and think about, but she was grateful that she had someone there to show her everything.
