Mitsu was entranced by the way the tatzel and cowboy danced. The quick movements of their feet, the spinning, and tapping. It looked like so much fun! But Mitsu was certain, even after dance lessons she would fall. There wasn't much to help with her clumsiness.
"You said you did know how to dance, didn't you Shun?" The wolf girl asked curiously nibbling on her meatball again. "Y...you just don't like to."

"VERY Glowy!" Amrita replied to Charlie, moving to poke at one of them as well. By no means did she overdo it like Charlie no doubt did. "Uhhh...I don't know! We'll have to ask!" She was sure Charlie would like them, but she didn't know how she would take to having glowy things in her room. DC might make them glow for real. "...D-dressed as...?" Amrita was confused. This wasn't a costume party! She did recall Charlie mentioning something about masks and swimsuits, but...thankfully that was where her Memory ended.
It took a while, but Amrita and her Demon companion found Lizzy and the others during what looked like a pretty ridiculous dance between two students; the ghoul she remembered arm wrestling, and a hatted Reaper. Hrm, friend of Mac's, maybe? The little ghoul didn't want to interrupt her friends while they were dancing, but...she still looked to Charlie.
"Um...what should we do...?" Dance? Oh jack no.
----
Mac was more or less on his own when it came to finding Tess. As time progressed he was starting to think she stood him up; maybe she didn't intend on going at all! It made everything else make sense, from the insisting on not getting her from the Undead Dorms to the whole...well, not being here at a decent time. This little nit that gnawed away in the back of his mind was discomforting; if she wasn't there soon, he was going to just leave. After all, without Tess there was little keeping him here, where Lizzy would be within sight nearly the entire night! Besides, the Demoness could look after Charlie; there really was no point in his being here, really.
Luckily the Reaper was spared the sight and sound of the sausage innuendo by catching a glance of Tess. OH THANK JACK there she was! Sadly it didn't stop him from hearing the dedication, and he sighed inwardly. Yeah, her friends; he was definitely not one of them right now and, really, he didn't mind. He let her come to him, watching her the entire time; for a ghoul with no legs, she sure as jack rocked that dress!
"Maritess." Mac said softly, just barely making it over the music. Really, he was unable to be a complete a** about making him wait when she was dressed like that! "I was starting to think you'd never show." Mac took gentle hold of Tess' fingers, bringing them to his lips to give her knuckles a light kiss. She said she liked gentlemen, right? Well, he could play that game. The hoedown was lost on him, he was busy paying attention to Tess...and the boxes she held. "What's all this, then?"

Idly watching the two as he continued to eat, Shun glanced over at Mitsu when she addressed him again. He initially nodded, seeing how his mouth was full, but he soon spoke up as well.
"More or less," he said. Dancing wasn't really his thing. Though... someone before had said something along the lines of a good fight or spar wasn't really all that different from dancing with a partner. He supposed he saw a hint of truth in that, but even then..
"You mentioned you don't?"

Xiu's plate of food seemed incredibly unhealthy in contrast to Vaith's. For one thing, her choices weren't quite as balanced--she had a variety of small sweets decorating her plate, including some of the spookies they had helped make. Knowing just how much sugar--amongst other things--that went into these sweets should have deterred her, but it didn't. The little Baku really had a huge sweet tooth.
"Whatever you would like!" She grinned at him, holding her plate in one hand and her camera in this other. When she scanned the dance floor, she was surprised to see Mot and the white-haired ghoul--Levi? She thought she overheard someone calling her that--dancing. Or having a dance-off, perhaps? Whatever it was, she couldn't help but raise her camera to snap a few pictures, and then promptly lowered it again so that she could watch.
"They're really good, aren't they?" Xiu breathed after a minute, staring wide-eyed. All those spins and kicks and swishy moves...she could hardly keep up! She drew her attention away from them and back to Vaith, promptly giggling at the idea of the reaper boil dancing is a similar fashion to Mot and Levi. Could he dance? Xiu had no idea, and while she had taken dance lessons for prom, she wasn't particularly eager to show off her clumsy skills. "I guess we can go sit down and eat? It's not as relaxing walking around when you have a plate of food to carry and eat."

Mitsu's ears fell a little when Shun asked her a similar question. "N..not really. I...I took dance lessons with Amrita and Xui but...I'm not very good." The lupine wasn't sure what had possessed her to try, it wasn't like she would get a chance to dance and if she did she was certain she would either hurt herself or someone else.
"H..how is your food?" She asked as a means to change the topic her eyes glancing over to see Xui with a plate of food and her camera still in hand. Waving to the ghoul she wondered if she would join them at this table to eat.

Bul would have to do what he could not to stuff his face in front of Mei, especially considering the doll didn't eat. The boil was getting a little hungry and they'd already been dancing quite a bit into the first few songs of the evening. Still seeing the others' piling up their plates and the smell of it as it got scattered on the floor made him hungry.
Meanwhile, the boil had his mind set on casting a vote for prom queen and king since it was left announced. It'd take him some time before he'd make his vote but he had no desire to vote himself or anything since he'd feel a little guilty. (Though into the evening it may have changed.)

Frankly the prom committee, didn't do a bad job in the hellhounds opinion, the theme was pretty interesting considering what it was based on with all the games everywhere.
Frankly the hound was always up for a game and the elegance to certain card games was quite appealing to him and urged him to go play a paw or two. or twenty. Damien wouldn't say he had a problem with card games, just that he never passed up a chance to play them, ever. Especially when seeds were involved, considering the winnings that he brought with him from home as an emergency stash.
but alas this was not like the refined elegant parties he was sadly dragged to often by the scruff of his neck, with the decibel of the music, although it did sound good, making the boil's polished shoe tap to the beat unconsciously. The thud from the giant sub woofers at the DJ booth was enough to make you feel it in your chest and purr from how good it felt.
After enjoying the music and all its glorious beat from the shadows of the dressed up gym, he was feeling rather peckish, and after a cursory glance around the hall, the snack table wasn't far away, just directing in front of him.
Across the dance hall.
"Candlejack. I'm not going to be able to get over there without being seen." He muttered to himself before averting his gaze from the dancers out on the floor shaking their booty, tails and other possible appendages.

Nothing could describe the pleasure that Aislin got from watching people beginning to really kick up their heels out on the dance floor. Most of the couples that had been slow dancing had cleared off when the faster music started but a few remained out there. From across the room she saw Sparrow smile and wave to her and returned it. She always noticed... "Seiji!" Ash was sure to keep away from the mic as she shouted towards him, raising a hand up and waving to him. Something was different about him.
Before she could pause to think more on her friend's changed appearance she caught movement from the corner of her eye. Looking over she watched as Levi initiated what Ash could only describe as a dance-off with a boil wearing a cowboy hat.
Aislin bounced and quick-stepped her own little dance behind the booth, mostly keeping still so she could watch with mounting excitement as the two continued to compete against each other. Reaching over Aislin pressed a button that had a spot-light turn on and aim directly at the two Hoe-down competitors.
"Yeah, Levi! Dance, dance, dance, dance!" She began chanting the word in beat with the music, cheering on the dancers and perhaps garnering them some more attention. She HOPED that someone else would take up the cry so she wouldn't be the only one shouting it.

"You took lessons?" Shun repeated, a little surprised to hear this. He didn't know who Amrita was and he only vaguely knew Xui having just met her briefly here. Speaking of her, he spotted the Baku with a camera not too far off, along with the reaper who seemed to be acting as her companion for the night.
"It's pretty good. Whoever made this did a pretty good job," he replied while focusing his attention on his food again.

"So far so good I think." Holly took another bit of well, whatever it was she was now eating. Frankly she had no idea what most of this was she was eating. It was all good though! "What about you, it good? That dessert table looks pretty good too." Honestly if someone mentioned it, she'd be tempted to dive right into that table.
The ghoul nodded. "Have a few classes with her. She, uh, is the one that made my hoodie." The awesome hoodie. She wasn't going to mention it but that ghoul might have helped with some other dress advice too. She also knew her from some ghoul only parties but West didn't need to know about those.
Her own thoughts of dancing were along the same line. Depends on the song for her, this one wasn't bad but was almost over. She glanced at West, slow songs seemed completely out of the question. Though she had no idea how to dance to the faster ones. She'd just take it as it went. Yeah, that was a good plan. "If I remember, not much of a dancer are you right?" Tempted she was to ask why he even wanted to attend a dance then.
Holly heard the chanting. Oh, yeah, Levi was dancing. Looking up from her awesome plate of food she joined it. "Go Levi, dance!" She then returned to tasting all the different things. Yum.

As Hasuko moved away from the wall, Riley hooked her free arm around under the ghoul, settling her firmly at her side. She did so love being flanked.
Social events can be intimidating. Especially ones this big. I daresay you have nothing to worry about with us around, however. Although I will actually be fairly busy - running some of the games, among other things. You both must make sure to keep me company and play them, when I do.
Riley paused, as Jericho's thought reached her, and she nodded slightly. It looked like she had her hands full at the moment, but should she need assistance she would remember to call on him.
Turning her gaze back to the dance floor, the world soared in color and blinding light again. It was a little intoxicating to watch, as she could see the dance floors colors changing - she simply couldn't see the actual dance floor itself. The blacklit colors drowned out any outline, but it was still pretty.
All things considered, I think this is turning out rather well. She murmured, turning an affectionate gaze to Malodore. The dark of it's outfit settled her eyes back to clear vision, and she leaned in to graze her cheek against it's beak.
And then sausage shenanigans happened.
Riley had no idea why her body was suddenly flushed with excitement, and she jerked away, blushing a furious dark purple. She shook her head, then tilted it, and eyed Malodore from top to bottom.
Jack, you're lovely. She rested her head on it's shoulder, and glanced sideways at Hasuko. You both are. Why are you both so very pretty? I am an extremely lucky ghoul to have you two at my side.
Her tentacles wormed their way around Malodore's waist, wrapping around possessively.

"Y..yeah, I tried," Mitsu responded sheepishly her cheeks growing a little red remembering all the times she had fallen. Even before she had went in she had ran INTO Amrita. That had to be the worst first impression ever but she had met someone new in the process of it all so that was always nice.
"I'm really not very good...I'm very clumsy," She admitted quietly.

How did it turn to this?
She wasn't sure; one thing led to another, and soon, a harmless couple dance off turned into an individual dance off when the music changed, and now, the spotlight were on them - oh Levi and Mot... Lizzy needed this, whatever 'this' was. As she stood nearby, her attention focused on the dance floor and all its crazy lights, she was laughing too hard and too much to really care how it started.
"Yay! Go Mot!" She giggled, figuring that she should cheer for her date since he was being such a great sport about it.

Everyone saw a spotlight and a crowd forming around a duo that seemed to be having some kind of dance battle. Was someone getting served?
But to the Hellhound trying to shy away from the attention, Damien saw a welcomed distraction he could use to get across the room.
It was the only thing he could do, but walking along the sides of the dance floor, bobbing behind a few exuberant students that might have had a pre party bubbly before arriving, catching the barest of glances through the web of students crowding the battle, and saw a certain long tailed ghoul going at it.
"Of course, why am I surprised?" was all he could mutter before he continued his sneaky trek over to the refreshment area, those little sausages were calling his name.

Nodding her head to the tune, she perked a grin at Mot as he performed his own take on her steps.
Yeee heee~ fancy foot werkin' thar! Atta boil! Let's git a bit harder now, eh? It was at that moment Ash, the ghostie ghoul she'd met back in her dorm, began to cheer her on. She heard other familiar voices as well (whether it be chanting for her or Mot), and she briefly pumped one fist in the air to the tune in gratitude to them for their enjoyment of the scene. It made her slightly more aware that there were many other students around watching her outside the mini dancing world she and Mot were in, but-
the ghoul was not one to worry about a general crowd.
Back and forth, side to side, fancy feet and gliding. The twirl of her skirt suddenly revealing a move she was sure would catch Mot off guard. Levi performed the splits, and then used her hands and tail to lift herself back up almost as if she'd been on strings.
