Still Zone 5

He furrowed his brow, not liking that sort of tone, but when hadn't he and Tate fought? They got into arguments all the time in the past, and considering she probably had turned bitter at being ignored, at breaking his promise to always be there for her, she would be naturally hesitant to even want to look at him. The fact she wasn't clawing his one eye out was proof she at least wasn't on a murderous rampage just yet, and he could at least manage that much. As much as he wanted to protect her, he wanted to keep his distance. Too bad distance wasn't the type of thing he could get when everyone was shoved together in a blazing hell of falling rocks and lava.

Turning, he looked up and breathed hard at the sight of the guardian of this area throwing everything but the lava kitchen sink at them, and he wasn't sure exactly what they could do to stop this. They had to win somehow, but was there a way to get up to the guardian and could he when Tate was here?

Turning, he knelt down, offering his bare back to her. "Get on. I can't drag you around this entire area, and until the sun comes up, you're stuck here. I don't see any way out of here or any caves to hid you in. Any negas see you and they could just use you as a power boost, and I'll be damned if I'll let the senshi touch you." He looked over his shoulder at her. His back was riddles with various scars, and the stitches on his chest were still there for his last battle in Elysion. He managed to live by being a experienced Captain. A civilian had no chance in hell (despite the scenery) to make it out alive without a whole hell of a lot of luck.

From a Negaverser intent on killing him to a civilian who didn't look any more pleased to see them. ********. Ganymede blinked at the young man standing his ground against Gianfar, wondering what the story was there but thinking he didn't really have the time to hear it.

"Put your fists down," he demanded, frowning at... Ever, was his name? Well, one of them was apparently Ever and the other was Tony, according to Gianfar's earlier hail. "We don't exactly have the time to be standing around with all this going on," he said, making a grand sweep with his arm to include everything around them. "We... er... Gianfar came over intending to help you, so do you want our help or not?" He hadn't really intended to help anyone himself, but he couldn't just leave civilians lying around this place. He had no where else to go and had lost track of everyone he'd started out with, so he supposed he'd stick around for a while and see what he could do. Who knew if he'd need Gianfar's help again?

Ever gave Ganymede a narrowed look, and bit down on his instinctive 'what the ******** are you supposed to be?' before his attention twitched back onto Gianfar. That wasn't helpful. Not that he was generally helpful, but...

"Oh, yeah, I know all about his help. Back off. Go back to your little gaming session off there." He gestured toward the mess, where they'd been fighting, stepped in threateningly toward Gianfar. Just as he was about to bring his fists back up, though, another geyser exploded behind him, raining down lava in sharp splats that burned, ached, made him gasp and dance out of the way. Agile. And hopefully he mostly sheltered the men behind him.

Cora had struggled and focused all her energy of trying to have even some kind grip on the rocky surface that was slowly but surely betraying her. She didn't want to die. Not yet and not like this. Hypnos would be sad if she would die. She would cry and that was the last thing the guardian cat wanted.

But then she heard a crack and felt the rock splittering into pieces. She fell. This was the end!

She had expected to feel burning lava around her but instead there were warm, soft fingers of human kind. Surprised, Cora opened her eyes and found Sailor Leto who was holding her tightly but gently. She got pulled back to safety from the dangerous fissure.

"Ohthankyouthankyouthankyou," the cat mewed happily, pushing her cheek against Leto and letting out happy purr. She felt so relieved to be alive! It was wonderful feeling. It was like being high from catnip!

Then her expression turned more serious. "Excuse me," she said and hopped upwards, on top of a rock that was still and taller than usual. She wanted to be seen.

"Good job, Leopard's Eye! Good job!" she called up in the ear, her tone more or less sarcastic. "If you really wanted to break my will of being there, you have succeeded! If you really wanted to steal the dearest girl from me, you have succeeded! But let me tell you that if I see her hurt at morning, any morning I will come back and tear every single bit of fur out of you!! You better protect her well!"

She took a deep breath until she continued. "Just to let you know, I DID protect Quail's Eye in his field! It wasn't enough but I tried! And now, YOU tried to kill me! Nice way to thank me for trying to save his life!"

She turned her gaze away from the volcano. If someone was close enough, they could see tears coming from guardian cat's pink eyes. "I'm sick of this."

Dream mirror appeared behind her and with back-flip, she dove into it's depths, away from Leopard's Eye's territory.

Zone 2

Azzo's attention had been brought from Wolfy and Tate to himself. There were freaking lava monsters after him, well one. Still though. Azzo was running for his life looking for something heavy enough to throw at the monster thing.

It wasn't a youma that was for sure however Azzo couldn't explain what it was. It was however chasing him like he would make a lovely stake. "Where's Polaris when you need her?" He cursed as he stumbled trying to grab a rock and throw it at the monster. He wasn't sure where he was going, between dodging a monster and hot geysers, but it was probably away from the group he'd been with.

Gianfar frowned, looking honestly hurt by how clearly Ever disliked him. Oh, Ever. If only you knew. All he'd been trying to do was help his friend! Ugh. He looked to Ganymede for a moment as he demanded Ever drop his fists, sighing and tugging unhappily at a piece of his own hair. "Ah, Ganymede...that won't hel--see?" He sighed and pressed the gloved heel of his hand against his forehead. Think, think, think. What was the best way to get Ever and Tony out of here? Or at least this general vicinity? Ugh.

He didn't get much time to think up much of anything as a geyser suddenly blew up behind Ever and his hand flew away from his face, eyes widening as he reached out to grab Ever and try to pull him close so he could spin around and block the rocks and lava from pelting his friend. He hoped Ganymede would do the same for Tony; Ever was closer, so he had been the easier of the two to grab. Sure, Ever hated Gianfar but Gianfar would get over it.

Ganymede's reaction was mostly instinctive when the geyser erupted. Had he been alone, or had he not had anyone else to worry about, he would have jumped back and moved as far away from it as possible -- though considering this place was full of geysers, he doubted he'd get far without having another one threaten to singe his face off. This time, however, there were the two civilians around, and while Gianfar moved to help Ever, Ganymede did the same for Tony, shielding him the best he could. He was thankful nothing much fell on them, though the heat of the steam was almost unbearable.

He looked up at the other two once the geyser had finished making its noise, not exactly happy about continuing to linger around. "Can we please decide what we want to do?" he snapped. He didn't mean to get an attitude with Gianfar at all, but after nearly being killed and then having Ever be moody and ungrateful, his nerves were pretty much shot. "I'd rather not be waiting around for that guy with the pole to come back. And this guy here," he said, motioning to the unconscious Tony, "doesn't look too hot at the moment. Common sense says to drop whatever grudges you have and work together for a while."

He was more than ungrateful: instead, Ever was furious. Gianfar grabbed him and drew him back against his chest and this was a familiar situation. One treated in the same way as last time: a wriggle, a frustrated sound, and an elbow coming up roughly toward Gianfar's face.

Last time, it had collided, leaving behind the bruise that still touched Ever's left eye. This time, however, he might be smart enough to jerk out of the way. Ever was distracted, too, glowering at Ganymede. "Leave him be!"

Leopard's Eye looked right at Cora, put one thumb in each of his ears, and blew the biggest, most fiery raspberry in all of history as she vanished through the dream mirror. Her words did not strike home, not to the hot-tempered Guardian of Elysion. Perhaps Quail's Eye had been more receptive. Certainly Seal's Eye would have been more sympathetic to them. Leopard's Eye, however, did not have the lighthearted spirit or cool disposition of his fellow Guardians. His wrath was swift and it did not discriminate, no matter which side claimed to be 'good'.

“Please tell her I do not want to kill her,” he said to Hypnos, “I just want her out. We just want them all out!”

Why did they not understand that?

Even a child, sitting there upon his shoulder, could understand how simple it was. They could fight on Earth. They could fight on Mars for all he cared, he just wanted them out of Elysion. This was not their land to fight over. It was not their home!

“Leave now,” the guardian rumbled to them all, “or PERISH!”

When the word left his mouth, the ground trembled, and new rivulets of lava rushed down to meet the invaders.

He hoped Ever would realize Gianfar was on his side. He hoped Ever would settle down and stop fighting him. He hoped that protecting him from bits of lava would get Ever to forgive him even a little.

Goes to show how well hoping works out sometimes.

Gianfar ducked down as Ever lifted the elbow to attack him, sighing in exasperation and reaching up to try and grab hold of both his wrists. "Would you quit that, Ever? I'm trying not to get you killed." He jumped a bit at Ganymede's snap toward him, frowning and giving where they were a good look. What were they supposed to do? They couldn't just leave these guys here. Leopard's Eye and the negaverse were attacking the civilians that were unlucky enough to be here. Why were even they here? First things first, they needed to find a somewhat safer place for the men they had right now. He couldn't fault Ganymede for being somewhat annoyed about this. This was all beginning to get incredibly annoying.

"He's right, you know. I'm not here to hurt you. This place isn't safe, we need to get you and Tony over there out of harm's way." Or as out of it as they could be, anyway. Was there any safe place on an active volcano? Probably not!

"I'm trying to help him," Ganymede snapped at Ever again, not too pleased that he was acting as if he intended to hurt Tony. "You want me to just leave him here to get hit by boulders or burned by that geyser or attacked by a monster or killed by one of those crazy Negaverse assholes?" Somehow he didn't think so. Seriously, this guy needed to learn to accept help when it was given to him, even if it was from someone he didn't like.

But where to go? Was there a safe place? Probably not. Was there a place out of the way? Maybe. Either way, they'd never find out sitting here arguing with one another. Well, he thought he was being pretty tame, all things considered, and Gianfar was doing what he could, too. If Ever would just cooperate, that would make things a whole lot better.

He just hoped that active volcano would hold out for a little bit longer. What if it blew up? Talk about a disaster...

The ground was shaking, and more lava was spilling onto the field. Castille looked at the talking cat, bewildered at it's speaking ability. But as it bounced away, she realized that in this strange dream, a speaking feline was the most real thing she had seen all night. But as the monsters were replaced with falling rocks, she realized that this was probably not the best space to be in. When the girl did not rise, she shook her head, choosing to run to another part of the dream world

DO YOU THINK IT IS TIME THINGS GOT....REAL?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:27 pm

Shaking? Lava? Monsters? You would have thought that by now all the signals coming from the land of Elysion itself, never mind its guardian, would have sent both Senshi and Negaverse agent alike running for the softly sloping hills of Helios' Sanctuary. Certainly a pissed-off young priestess couldn't be any worse than what the land itself was doing!

The whole world took one sickening, awful lurch as the volcano finally erupted. Hypnos was thankfully with the most secure person and simply was thrown against him as others were not so very lucky. A hole opened beneath the left leg of Gianfar, threatening to crumble and send him careening into the lava that was now pouring into the earlier created fissure.

Smoke and ash belched into the sky and all but obscured the stars as Tony and Ever were suddenly forced to cling to each other as the ground separated beneath their feet as well. The whole world rolled, shook, and only Sailor Leto seemed to have any sort of footing whatsoever.

Lucky girl.

Leave now or perish. That, and the lava, was the shove Tate needed for her to approach Wolframite again; her touch was tentative, more so than before, but soon enough she was securely piggybacked. She felt ridiculous. She had a bit of height on Wolframite, and all her height was in her legs anyway--but he was right, wasn't he? Besides, according to everything she'd ever read or observed, this was what civilians did. It was how they best survived.

Well, that or they died dramatically in someone's arms. Guess which one Tate did not want to do.
